Chapter Three
Morning comes a bit... too soon. Kagome rolls over slapping off her alarm clock at 6 am and yawns widely, for a moment her brain is foggy and she can't remember why on earth she was getting up so early but then the fog clears and she remembers that Yugi is going to be picking her up at 7 so she needed to get out of bed and get ready to go! She squeaks as she pushes out of bed and rushes to the bathroom so she can get a shower before she has to get ready. She turns on the water before stretching as she waits for the water to heat, fortunately it wouldn't take too long and she was able to get in her head tilting back to let her hair get wet though she knew it would take a long time to wash and even longer to dry with it being so long. She hums softly to herself as she works the shampoo through the long tresses, her mind wandering to Yugi, 'I'll have to send him a text when I get out.' she muses some then starts the long process of rinsing her hair then working conditioner into it. As it sets she quickly washes up, it's as she squirts the body wash into her washcloth that she realizes that it was something that hadn't changed since her time in the past too, both her shampoo and bodywash were scentless because the odors had bothered Inuyasha's sensitive nose.
After she rinses her hair of the conditioner and her body of the suds she climbs out wrapping a towel around her body then another around her head before padding to the sink and wipes the condensation off the mirror so she could pat her face dry and applies a thin layer of foundation to hide subtle imperfections then a layer of kohl liner that was rather bold and really made her blue eyes pop. Content with that she adds a layer of champagne colored eyeshadow and black mascara calling her eyes good. She sighs as she looks at her makeup bag and shakes her head lightly grabbing a soft pink gloss out and applying it quickly, she didn't have time to doddle. She flips the light switch and heads for her room to get dressed, she was making good time even if her shower did take her nearly half an hour. After she closes her door she quickly dries her body and spritz her sakura body mist into the air so she could walk through it then once more so she could back through it, a gentle spritz on her wrists and cleavage made that layer completed so she adds a layer of deoterant then pulls on her bra and panties. She bites her lip a moment then grabs a simple black tanktop and pulls it on, she wasn't going to but she realized that the hoari that Yugi had picked was a single layer and with the chance it would gap open she needed a layer under it.
Nodding to herself she pulls on the hakamas first then works to dry her hair pondering how to do it up since one of the accessories he'd picked was a pretty golden comb, she shrugs and starts brushing her hair even though she knew it could take a while to do she'd put it off. nearly 20 minutes later her hair was laying smooth and she grabs the comb before placing it by her cheek and using it to brush back her hair then she flips it and secures the pretty comb by pushing it back into the hair. She quickly pulls the haori off the hanger and puts it on securing the obi around it and letting her long hair fall back down behind her once she was finished. She was reaching for her cellphone to text Yugi when she hears from downstairs, "Kagome hunny Yugi-kun is here!" Kagome chuckles softly and picks up her cellphone, jewelry, scarf and boots before walking downstairs, "Sorry I'm running a little behind." She admits softly as she sets her cell on the banister and slips the earrings into her ears, Yugi looks up at her blushing faintly, "I'm also a little early so you might actually be on time." Kagome smiles lightly and drapes the scarf around her neck before doing a little spin on the bottom stair, "Well?" her hair lifts slightly twirling with her like a cloak.
"You look great, I didn't realize your hair was so long." Kagome giggles lightly, "I haven't cut it in a very long time." She picks up her cell and thinks for a moment before tucking it into the top of the obi leaving it flat against her abs then with boots in hand she steps down level with Yugi who holds up a finger and steps up onto the stair turning to face her back. Kagome blinks as she feels him lift her hair with one hand and place it over her shoulder then his purpose dawns on her when she sees the golden chain with the odd gold pendant and feels him clasp it behind her neck, she reaches up touching the pendant gently, "I've never seen this symbol before, what is it?" Yugi moves to where she could see him as he moved her hair back to behind her noting idly how soft it was, "It is called an Ankh. It is an Egyptian sacred symbol that means life and is regarded as a key or mirror to the soul." Kagome smiles at him, "You're giving me an Egyptian holy symbol?" He nods lightly as Asako steps back into the room, "Kagome you look beautiful!" Kagome chuckles, "Thank you Okaa-sama. Now We best be off if we're going to be on schedule, I will see you when I get home but don't be shy to call if you need something, I have my cellphone."
Asako nods lightly and hugs Kagome, "I'm proud of you sweety. I'm sure your otou-san and oji-chan are both proud of you too." Kagome has to blink back tears as she nods, "I'm sure they are okaa-sama." Asako releases her daughter and nods to Yugi, "Have a good day you two." Both smile and wave as they make their way to the door and Kagome pauses to put on her boots, as they make their way down to the car at the foot of the stairs Kagome chuckles softly, "I'm really not looking forward to this so I'm glad I will have friendly faces around when things start getting crazy." Yugi nods, "I'll stick pretty close, I'm sure Tea will as well." As they get in Kagome taps her fingers off her arm, "Did you let Tea know you were coming to get me first today?" Yugi blinks, "I didn't even think of it. So it will be a surprise for her." Kagome giggles, "I guess it will. So why did you want to pick me up first?" Yugi hesitates before deciding to just be honest, "Truthfully? Because I wanted a little bit of time where it was just us before Tea got in and made you get nervous by gushing her excitement about the signing." Kagome blushes lightly, "I see. So we didn't talk after the call, about friday I mean." Yugi chuckles as he pulls out driving towards Domino, "True. I wasn't thinking about anything too stressful to be honest and truthfully I haven't dated very much so I'm probably rusty."
Kagome giggles at the blunt honesty, "I've never dated so you're still ahead of me there. But I have a confession to make." Yugi glances out of the corner of his eye at her, "Oh?" Kagome nods and fidgets a little, "After you were introduced yesterday I knew who you were. My friend Yumi works for one of those gossip magazines... and she, while hinting none to subtly about me getting out there to date, gave me the article she'd written about Japan's most eligable bachelors..." Yugi knew immediately what she was refering to and surpresses a groan, "I see." Kagome nods with a sigh, "I didn't agree to your request because of that Yugi... I agreed because it seemed like you would understand me a little easier then most would... I understand if you don't want to go now." Yugi shakes his head, "That doesn't make me change my mind, it might have if you'd not just told me honestly and if you'd been angling for it so you could have bragging rights or get a juicy story for your friend." Kagome pouts at him, "Yumi can get her own stories just fine and I certainly don't want to be plastered all over a magazine. Though you do realize that it's going to be impossible to keep entirely under wraps, word will eventually get out that you are taking out Chiyoko." Yugi shrugs, "Let it. I'm not ashamed, it's not my fault you are such a likeable person."
Kagome giggles softly, "Well I'm definately not ashamed either. I'm looking forward to friday." Yugi gives her a smile as he stops at a redlight and Kagome changes the subject, "So you know a lot about Egypt I'm guessing? I mean I assume so since you gave me a holy symbol from the area." Yugi chuckles, "I certainly do. I have a large collection of books on Egyptology and have visited several times." Kagome smiles as she reaches up touching the ankh again, "I've never been out of Japan though i've traveled all over it. What's Egypt like?" Yugi gets a thoughtful smile on his face as he drives once more, "I don't think it's that easy to explain. Egypt is a place like no other, a place of great mystery and seeped in history. It's sort of like a lady at a mascerade ball, you see her but until you go up to her you can never understand her." Kagome gives a sweet smile listening to him talk, it was clear he loved Egypt, "Someday I will have to go there then, it sounds lovely and I'm huge on history if it isn't obvious considering my book." Yugi nods, "I love your book, it was very well written and you painted an image so vivid that I could have sworn I was standing in the middle of the battlefields." Kagome chuckles softly before muttering low, she didn't mean for him to actually hear it but he had, "Trust me that's not a great place to be."
Yugi favors her with a quick glance wondering about that then shrugs it off filing it in the back of his head, "I also have friends who are Egyptian, who I meet coincidentally because they happened to see me on one of my visits and were surprised to see how much of a mirror image I was to an ancient Pharoah. They thought perhaps I was his reincarnation because of how much I look like he did." The word reincarnation hits Kagome like a lead weight but she manages to smile, "Do you believe in reincarnation?" Yugi nods once, "Sure. I don't think I was his but it was pretty cool to think about." Kagome nods lightly, "I'm pretty sure that I'm a reincarnation of a shinto priestess." She knew for a fact she was but didn't like talking about Kikyo... hell she didn't even like thinking about her if it could be avoided. Yugi reaches over to lay a hand on one of Kagome's giving a light squeeze though he doesn't take his eyes off the road, "Even if you are it doesn't matter. You're Kagome now and that is what matters." Kagome feels her cheeks heat at that simple statement, it meant so much to her even if she didn't want to have to explain why, "Thank you Yugi." The tone made Yugi blink but he doesn't comment on that directly, "No reason to thank me for telling the truth. No matter who we might have been in a past life the only life we can control and should worry about is this one we live now." Kagome glances over at him, "You don't think the past matters? That it doesn't weigh on us?" Yugi shakes his head, "It will always matter and weigh heavily but if it were allowed to rule us life would be impossible. I happen to love History remember? It would be stupid of me to love it so much and disregard it at the same time."
Kagome nods lightly, "True I guess. It is hard really when you live in the past as much as I do thanks to my writing to not end up losing track of the present." Yugi nods, "I can imagine that easily. You sort of look like you belong to the past with your hair as long as it is, you look very much like a hime of old." Kagome blushes again as she shyly looks down, "Thank you." Yugi shoots her a smile then continues to Domino, the rest of the trip was pleasantly quiet for the most part with Kagome lost in thought and Yugi focusing on the road. It is not until they are most of the way to Tea's house before Kagome speaks up, her voice colored with curiousity, "So what shop were you talking about last night?" Yugi gives a short chuckle, "Kame Game Shop. My oji-chan opened it many years ago, after he passed I took over." Kagome gives a soft sound of aknowledgement before lobbing the next question at him, "What do you sell there?" Yugi takes one hand off the wheel as they hit a red light to rub the back of his neck, "All things gaming related though the only real attention grabbers for most people is the Duel Monsters related stuff." Kagome blinks then smiles brightly, "I'll have to go sometime! I'm always looking for new cards for my collection. I've got two decks but only one is allowed to be fiddled with, the other is special for when I'm duelling my kid brother."
Yugi smiles and puts his hand back on the wheel as he starts driving again, "Perhaps sometime we can duel then. It has been a while since I have faced anyone other then Joey or Tea and since Tea's boyfriend isn't into duelling she has been pulling away as well." Kagome shoots him a bright smile, "I'd love that. Besides who could pass up the chance to duel the Great Yugi Motou?" She teases playfully earning a soft exasperated groan from him though it was clearly not genuine, "Don't get me started on that. I hadn't enjoyed being the King of Games for a reason, the reason being of course that I got harassed a great deal by people wanting to topple the King of Games from his throne." Kagome gives a thoughtful frown, "Is that why you basically disappeared from the public realm? I know from what my kid brother told me a long time ago you just virtually disappeared after the last tournament you were in." Yugi sighs heavily, "That's the public reason yes." "And the private one? I understand we don't know each other well so it's understandable if you'd rather not tell me." Yugi shakes his head tapping his fingers off the wheel, "It's fine. It's not like it's a big secret and you wouldn't find out at some point anyways. Truth was I had just before the tourney lost a very good friend, had I not already been commited for the tourney I probably wouldn't have gone. The other reason was I had just broken things off with a girl I was casually seeing at the time, though we hadn't gotten intimate she was running around saying she was carrying my child and as I found out afterwards had only been dating me for popularity sake."
Kagome frowns deeply and reaches over laying a hand on his thigh and giving a light squeeze, "I'm sorry for the loss of your friend, and that... ugh! I hate females like that." She pulls her hand back crossing her arms under her bust before continuing, "I have an idea for friday." Yugi glances at her out of the corner of his eye as he turns onto the street Tea lives on, "Oh?" Kagome nods and giggles, "How about we order pizza and we can duel at the shop?" Yugi's brows lift at her suggestion, "Really?" Kagome nods, "It is a good idea. We won't be hounded by people, we can get to know each other better and duel some. I'm sure you could probably even teach me a few things." Yugi chuckles as they come to a stop in front of a nice apartment complex, "Competative much?" He was taken by the idea however and is pleased by the fact she came up with it. "Somewhat. Truth is that other then duelling my kid brother I don't get much action. It would be nice to duel someone that I don't know most of the cards in their deck. Plus I understand we have a similar monster in common from what Souta told me." Yugi sends a quick text up to Tea to let her know to come down then looks to Kagome, "Which monster is that?" Kagome giggles, "My deck that I duel with my brother is built up around two major monster cards, the Dark Magician and Dark Magician Girl. My other deck I'm still fiddling with but it's untried. Maybe friday it can finally get a try and you can help me get it solid."
Yugi smiles at her as he sees Tea coming out the front door of the complex, "I'd love to help you with it. And your brother is right, one of my favourite monsters is the Dark Magician. The other is Kuriboh." Kagome's eyes light up, "Kuriboh is adorable!" They are sharing a chuckle as Tea reaches the car visibly surprised to see Kagome already in the front seat so she climbs in the back. "Ohayo!" Kagome turns in the seat with a smile on her lips, "Good morning Tea-chan." Tea buckles, "Morning Kagome-chan! I guess plans changed?" Kagome giggles and tilts her head towards Yugi, "He texted me last night and asked if it would be ok if he picked me up first so he wasn't backtracking since the signing is here in Domino. I said sure." Tea nods tucking hair behind her ear, "Yea I didn't really think about that. Looking forward to the signing?" Kagome gives a comically exagurated sigh, "More then I expected but I think it's because I have people I know that will be there to be a guard against the throng of people wanting to bother Chiyoko." Tea nods as Yugi starts the car to drive to the book store where the signing would be taking place, "So what was the laughing I saw about?" Kagome chuckles, "We were just talking about Kuriboh. We both find him adorable. Plus Yugi is going to help me test my new deck." Tea blinks, "I didn't know you duel Kagome-chan."
Kagome laughs lightly, "Yea but the only person I duel normally is Souta. On friday that's changing since Yugi is going to help me out." Tea blinks and tilts her head, "Friday? What's going on that day?" Kagome blushes faintly though Tea sees it and has to smother a squeal, it however is Yugi that anwsers, "She's coming to the shop so we can split a pizza and test her deck." Tea pounces, figuratively anyways, "So it's a date... even if you're not going out like normal people." Kagome nods shyly and Tea sits back pleased, "Good it's been too long since Yugi has dated." Kagome giggles but then turns to look at Tea, "Considering his history with dating it's not a surprise he isn't out chasing very skirt he sees and proclaiming his love at the drop of a hat." Suddenly she shakes her head to get the mental image of Yugi acting like either Miroku or Kouga out of her head. Yugi notices the shake, "Something wrong?" Kagome laughs lightly, "I was just trying to imagine you acting like either one of a couple of my friends. One was a real lady's man and a tremendous flirt though he was a really good man under that. The other was certain he was in love with me and proclaiming it every time I saw him but he was promised to another and he was a good person under all the bluster." Tea blinks, "Are they coming to the signing?"
Kagome shakes her head, "No. One died many years ago, the other just a couple years ago." Tea looks apologetic for asking, "I'm so sorry I brought it up." Kagome shrugs, "They would want me to go on and be happy. I won't say it wasn't hard, it was at first so hard to fathom losing them so abruptly but now I can look back on those times fondly." Yugi finds a parking spot near the bookshop and turns off the car, "Well here we are. Lets go in so you can get situated." Kagome nods as she and Tea unbuckle then climb out, it's as she turns to shut the door that the sun glints off the ankh making Tea notice it, "Hey Kagome-chan is that a new necklace?" Kagome reaches up touching the ankh gently, "It is. Yugi gave it to me this morning." Tea looks at Yugi who is closing his door with a shrewd look, she wasn't oblivious. She had known when he'd bought it though she'd been certain it was for her and had even mentally prepared to act surprised when it was given to her... but it never was. And now here it was around Kagome's neck. Kagome misses the look entirely and starts for the door, relatively surprised when Yugi falls into step next to her and offers his arm. With a blushy smile Kagome hooks her hand into Yugi's elbow as they approach the store. Tea is behind them torn between being happy Yugi was finally seeing someone and outraged because of the necklace.
She could remember those times with great fondness, and she had been in serious like, possibly even love, with the pharoah. Not that she had anything against Yugi but he was very much brother-like and she didn't harbor romantic feelings for him. Sometimes, even now, she found herself missing the mysterious Pharoah and it didn't help that all these years later Yugi now greatly resembled the Pharoah and sometimes acted like he used to when the Pharoah was in control of their shared body. She watches them walk to the door together and despite her personal feelings on it has to admit they do look striking together but at least she had gone through the trials and tribulations of the millenium puzzle with Yugi and she could understand things he said and did far better then Kagome ever could. Even though she was dating Hojo she couldn't help but feel a little annoyed, other then Serenity she had been the only girl in their close knit group of friends so she was used to the boys all paying attention to her, now with Kagome entering the group she was going to get so much less attention. She sighs softly and shakes her head, she really shouldn't dwell so much on it and be happy that Yugi was finally dating. With that in mind she follows the two in watching as Kagome speaks with the manager in low tones that from where she was she couldn't actually hear.
Kagome nods as she gives a light smile, they'd made good time so she had a short bit before she needed to be at the table they had set up for her, she looks at Yugi, "Lets look around since I have 30 minutes before I need to be at the table." Yugi nods and they wander looking at books, he absently leads her to the section that held Egyptology books and Kagome giggles as she looks at him. "Looking for new books for your collection?" Yugi blinks then gives a crooked grin, "Sorry old habits die hard." Kagome smiles and slides her arm so it's more hooked into his, "I understand all too well. I'm the same way after all. Some habits can't be shaken no matter now much time passes." Yugi nods lightly hardly noticing that Tea had not come with them, "That's true. But then some habits shouldn't be shaken." Kagome gives him a bright smile, "So how did you get interested in Egypt?" Yugi gives a boyish grin, "Because of my oji-chan. He was an archeologist as well as a game fanatic. Because of him I found a love for a culture that I couldn't learn enough of, and when he passed a friend of mine gave him the last rites and his ashes rest now in the tomb where he made his greatest find." The smile had turned sad as he spoke and Kagome gently squeezes his arm, "My oji-chan rests beneath the roots of the Goshinboku..." seeing his lost look she tags on, "Ah... the large sacred tree of ages that is on my shrine."
Yugi nods lightly and glances at the books to see if there were any he was interested in adding to his collection, since he was not looking at her directly he was surprised to see an arm reach out to collect a book with a large embossed Ankh on the cover, more so because the ankh almost glittered like real gold. He turns his attention to Kagome who has a thoughtful frown furrowing her forehead as she holds the book and then looks to him, for a moment a wizened look crosses her eyes before it is gone and she tucks the book under her arm, "Might as well," she starts with a playful tone, "I don't want to be totally clueless." Yugi chuckles softly, "I can lend you a few on Egypt's distant history when you stop by friday." Kagome nods with a bright smile, "That would be great." she glances around then lowers her voice to barely a whisper, "Something... this is going to sound crazy... but I don't think this book was supposed to be here..." Yugi blinks and tilts his head towards her as she speaks, "What do you mean?" Kagome shakes her head lightly, "Just... a feeling." Yugi looks at the book again then gives a slight nod, "You may be right, keep it under your arm and we'll buy it to get it out of here then we can find out why." Kagome gives him a relieved smile and nods, "Sounds good." She collects a few books, one that was thick as it was literally a compendium of the Egyptian Gods, one that was a bit thinner but pertained to the afterlife and the last was just general history.
Yugi doesn't see any that he wanted himself so he leads her over to the check out so she can purchase all four books then glancing at the big clock on the wall he takes her bag and leads her back to the table set up for her signing. Kagome takes a deep breath, 'this can't be any harder then taking down Naraku.... right?' she glances at Yugi but then settles as she sweeps her hair over her shoulder so she can sit down, only vaguely surprised when he settles a little behind and to the right of her, one of his hands resting on her shoulder supportively though after a light squeeze to remind her she wasn't alone he slides his hand off and tucks his hands into his pockets. She blushes faintly realizing he was for all intents and purposes acting like a guard for her as Tea approaches the table her hands on her hips, "You two disappeared on me..." Kagome gives a sheepish smile, "Sorry Tea-chan we were looking around since I had some time to kill." Tea nods and glances at the clock, "So why did you have to be so early?" Kagome glances at the clock then behind Tea causing the woman to turn and look, approaching was a woman with long curly hair pulled back into a low pony and dressed in black slacks paired with a light pink 3/4 sleeve shirt. Kagome blinks in surprise before a smile forms, "Ayumi-chan?" Ayumi blinks then her eyes go wide, "Kagome-chan?!"
Kagome chuckles softly, "It's been a while Ayumi-chan, how have you been?" Ayumi hugs her notebook to her chest, "Good though work has kept me busy, I just came back from America. Why didn't you tell me you were Chiyoko? We could have done this interview at your house." Kagome blushes faintly, "I didn't think about it and didn't know you were going to be the one interviewing me. Please Ayumi-chan please don't give away anything in your article that will let rabid fans find my shrine too easily." Ayumi moves to stand at the side of the table, "You have my word Kagome-chan." Her gaze shifts to Yugi then back to Kagome in question, Kagome's cheeks dust a faint pink seeing the question in her friend's eyes but apparently she wasn't the only one who saw it because Yugi places a hand on Kagome's shoulder again offering a polite smile, "I am Motou, Yugi. A pleasure to meet you Ayumi-san." Kagome feels the tension that had quickly billowed up seep away again under the hand to her shoulder but then feels her blush intensify as Ayumi decides to be nosey, "So what are you doing on that side of the table Motou-san?" Yugi gives a brighter smile, a more genuine smile, "Giving her my support, I do believe that is what couples do isn't it?"
Ayumi's eyes aren't the only ones that go wide, Tea's do as well. Kagome had been surprised at his announcement but hides it well and leans back in her chair as Yugi steps forward a bit, he knew they had only just decided on having their first date on friday but his tongue moved faster then his brain and he spit that out there before he could edit it. Hopefully Kagome wouldn't be too annoyed with him jumping the gun like that but it didn't seem so at the moment though she could he supposed be putting on a mask to keep it private until they weren't in the public eye. Truthfully though Kagome was surprised she could see the merit of letting people think they were a thing even if they weren't quite yet because the illusion would hopefully keep any persistant would-be suitor fans from harassing her too much. Ayumi slowly blinks then gives a tremendously happy smile, "I see. I'm glad she has someone to support her through this. Ok Kagome-chan I should start the interview so it's done before the signing officially starts." Kagome nods as Ayumi looks at her notebook, reading through the questions she had written down, "So Chiyoko your first book has hit the best sellers list and stayed consistantly at the top spot for months, but you've never done any public appearances until now. Why here and why now?"
Kagome taps a finger off her chin in thought, "At first I thought it was a fluke you know? I didn't think I was that good. After a couple months my publisher suggested quite strongly that I should do a signing even though I am in the process of writing a new book. I took a while to think about it and discuss it with Yugi-kun then agreed. Because I didn't want to make a big deal of things I only agreed on with the stipulation that the signing had to be held at a smaller bookstore and it was only luck that it was here. Specially since I come to Domino regularly to visit Yugi-kun's Shop for boosters since I am building a new deck." She had come up with that off the top of her head and Tea is eyeballing her since some of that was clearly bull as she knew that she'd only introduced Kagome and Yugi to one another yesterday and she also knew that Kagome had not had any clue until very recently that there was a signing at all but it sounded good. Yugi gives a gentle squeeze of her shoulder though he realized that she just had slipped in subtle publicity for the shop. Ayumi veers off from her written questions genuine curiousity in her eyes, "You're a duellist Chiyoko?" Kagome gives a bright smile, "I am though I'm still a beginner. I'm very fortunate that Yugi-kun is a great teacher and that Kame Game Shop has all the cards I could need."
Tea chokes back a laugh as she takes in the surprised look in Yugi's eyes, clearly Kagome hadn't warned him she was going to shamelessly publicize the shop during her interview. Ayumi nods as she writes things down and asks her next question, "Your book is historical fiction, where do you draw your insperation from?" Kagome smiles faintly, almost whistfully, "I have a great love of history and for old myths and legends. The legend of the Shikon no Tama has always held a special place in my heart and because of that I did a lot of research into it's creation. The first book is only a part of the legend, the very begining of it infact." Ayumi smiles faintly, "The rest of the questions I have I actually can anwser myself since I know you so well. I'm really glad you're finally happy Kagome-chan, after that two-timing jerk you didn't date. Yumi-chan is going to hit the roof when she finds out you're dating... she may hit the moon when she hears WHO you're dating." Yugi glances at Kagome wondering who the 'two-timing jerk' was since she said she'd not dated but would wait to ask her about it later. Kagome's cheeks dust pink again, "I know." Ayumi picks up a copy of the book and holds it out, "I know it's early but I have to get back and start typing up the article since it's going out with the next issue."
Kagome nods and takes the book picking up the elegant pen that looked like a quill and signing the inside page of the book just under the title, 'For Ayumi who never gave up on romance. Chiyoko' then hands the book over causing Ayumi to beam at her, "Darn straight I didn't. Take care and I'll call you later, it's been too long since we've hung out." Kagome nods and smiles, "I'll look forward to it." She glances around at the thickening crowd of loitering people and takes a deep breath, as she lets it out the large clock dings out the hour and the crowd pushes for the table...
------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
AN: And that is that. Tea... someone should tell you that jealousy is not a becoming trait.

AN: And that is that. Tea... someone should tell you that jealousy is not a becoming trait.
