'Thinking'
Kagome shot out of bed. Her hands clenched in her bed sheet with sweat dripping from forehead. 'Why again… Why now?' Tears started to burn in her eyes as she remembered her dream. She was standing in a grass field surrounded by dead bodies. Then all she knew was she had to run and run fast. She ran in the forest until she found a cave to hide in. She was now shaking and crying both in the dream and in her bed. Grabbing the water bottle on the night stand she took a big drink from it. She looked over at the clock; it read 3:48am. She knew after that dream she wouldn’t get back to sleep. 'School is at 7am so might as well get ready, very slowly' she thought.
Sighing she moved her cover off of her, got up and made her way to her bathroom. As soon as she turned on the light she saw her eyes to be all red. She went to her bath tub and turned on the water to take a nice long hot bath. After it was filled to the max and she got in all her memories of her dream seemed to float away. She always loved the water and how it seemed to calm her right down. She dunked her head under for a moment and came back up to put a cloth over her face.
After about 15min in her hot bath she turned on the shower to wash herself. When she came out of her bath the clock read 4:23am. She got dressed in her normal green skirt, white top with green collar uniform; blow dried her hair and put on slippers to make her way to the kitchen. Her important test was today and a good breakfast would help her concentrate.
'What to make….' she looked through the fridge and decided on an omelet with mixed veggies and miso soup would be perfect. Getting her laptop out she turned it on to check the news and a little excitement in hoping that Shippou had emailed her. When she checked her mail she saw the usual junk mail things from her 'business partner' but he didn’t email her. It made her a little sad but then again it was late when they left. The only mail she had besides junk mail was a message from her 'business partner'. She liked the last few chapters but people were getting anxious in waiting for a love scene. She snorted as she was eating her omelet now reading all of this. If people only knew she is 15 and getting asked to write about “hot sex” there would be many problems.
Looking at her computer clock she noticed it was already 5:36am. 'Craaaaaap!!!' Reading that long article about the artifacts they found in the forest was going to make her late. She would just have to remember to finish reading it later. Taking her plates to the sink and washing them she packed her laptop in her back pack to head out for school. As she went to the door her little mirror she had by the door made her stop and look at herself. Her hair was a light curl to her waist. Not that she minded her hair but she would like to have straight hair one day. Then again that took time and she didn’t have it. Her face wasn’t bad looking it’s just her eyes. Everyone always thought she wore blue colored contacts and no matter how many times she said they are real nobody believed her. 'Sigh…Oh well…' Kagome grabbed her keys and went to school. She was excited about the test but nervous as well.
“Hey brat! Why don’t you get your ass outta of bed!” Shippou looked at the person standing in his door way. 'Well I think someone isn’t in a good mood. Plus its just barely 5:30am.' “I’ll get out of bed in a bit Inuyasha you don’t have to be my personal alarm clock. Unless you like seeing me half naked every morning” Shippou smiled at him. That smart remark got him a pillow in the face along with some very nice cussing. After Inuyasha left he slowly got up and stretched before his shower.
“Morning everyone!” Shippou said to the others in the dining room. Nobody really paid attention to the young demon that just walked in with his school uniform on. He actually liked the uniform. Some simple black pants and a white collar button down shirt with the school’s logo on the left side. It wasn’t odd for demons his age to still be in school. Actually the school he went to was for special people. A demon school but also it housed humans with special gifts and talents as well. Not that he mind humans its just some of them could probably learn some manners.
“Finally the runt is up and we can go” Inuyasha was staring at Shippou as he said this. “Uhhh well its only 6:10am and I haven’t eaten” “Well now that is your own damn fault !! I had to get up at 4:00am!” “Inuyasha….” A cold voice said “you might have woken up at 4:00am but you got dresses just 20min ago” Inuyasha looked at the person insulting him. Just once he would like to knock the cold ass out. “Well it’s not my fault I was doing things late” He snorted at the cold ass. “Like being with Kagura?” Inuyasha’s mouth fell open at this point. 'How could he have known that!' “I swear you son of a bitch if you tell Kikyou I’ll ….” That was all Inuyasha got out before he was slammed into the wall by his half-brother who was about to kill him before their father walked in. “Sesshoumaru” His father’s voice demanding him without words to release the whelp.
Sesshoumaru let go and he slid down the wall trying to catch his breath. His father looking at all 3 boys and told them to hurry to school. As they all walked out the door with Shippou stuffing food in his mouth he couldn’t help but think when his eldest would learn to have some patience. Not just with Inuyasha but with humans as well. Sighing he walked out of the room. 'What a great way to start the day' he thought. 'Now to get to the school and look at the candidates for the new enters of the school. It was his responsibility to evaluate each person, human or demon, to see if they fit the school' One person he has been looking at for a few years now. Ever since she was very young and lost.
Kagome looked at the other students in the class. She saw all the top students. For some this was their second time taking this test. For others like her it was the first time. In the end they all are there for the same thing. To take a test to get in to the school of all schools, Ikeda High school. It was a school mostly for demons but a few humans have been accepted there. Kagome just hoped that she was smart enough to get in to this school. She heard rumors that some humans that got in to the school dropped out in a week and some within a few days.
“Hey Kagome” She looked over and saw Houjou sitting next to her with his famous smile that made every girl melt. Well, almost every girl. It’s not like he wasn’t good looking but she just didn’t like him like the other girls did. “Hi Houjou, are you nervous”. “A little but this will be my second time taking the test” He leaned over to say with his smile “But I am sure if I get in you will as well. Then we can be close friends”. Kagome blushed and didn’t know what to say but smile and face forward as the teacher walked with the test and started to tell everyone about the rules. 'Thank goodness She thought 'I think he was hitting on me again...ugh'
“You’re cute when you blush Kagome. That is only one thing I like about you” “Houjou Akitoki!” The teacher yelled “Because you feel so lucky today you will start the test 5min after everyone else.” Houjou in response sat straight in his chair and looked at the teacher blankly. “Now if everyone is done talking we will begin the test. You will have 2 hours and after the test you will go to lunch. After that the oral presentation will start with Toga Taisho and 3 others from the school that haven’t been named” He looked at all the students. He could feel the tension and nervousness of everyone. He hoped one of them would get in. “Okay…. Begin!”
AN~ Sorry this took longer to get out. I have been in a bad funk for awhile. Hope everyone likes it and I will work on the next chapter soon.
