Meeting Bankotsu Part 2
Love's Remedy
It happened so fast the miko barely knew what was going on . One minute she was standing next to Inuyasha and the others then suddenly she was lying here in some dusty old well. ‘Where the heck am I? ‘ She wondered as she struggled to her feet. Her legs felt weak and wobbled like jello beneath her so she held the stone wall for support. “ Inuyasha! “ She called while staring at the sky above. She frowned at her fruitless attempt to get her silver haired knight to rescue her. @ ‘ Get it together Kagome ‘ She thought gloomily. ‘ Inuyasha won’t be able to rescue you this time ‘ Her head bowed in despair as she thought back to the sadness that flashed in his bright amber eyes as she was carried away. ‘ Inuyasha … ‘ Her chest constricted causing her pain. She clenched it as hot tears trickled down her cheeks. How would she ever get back to the man she loved? Fate could truly be cruel at times. First, it made her out to be the reincarnation of her Lover’s Ex girlfriend, whom he constantly compared her too since Kikyo was so ‘ perfect’ and Kagome was clearly not . Then, it allowed her former self to come back to life and drove them both into an endless battle for Inuyasha affections while fighting Naraku all the while. Then , when they defeat Naraku and it seems like she will finally get the guy … what happens? The Sacred jewel, the thing they’d been busting their asses to complete, wishes for Kagome to get sucked up and thrown into some unknown place for some unknown reason. ‘ Just Great ’ she thought sarcastically. ‘ I got to get back to Inuyasha’ With her mind made she desperately searched for a way to get out the well but couldn’t find any vines or bars to climb out. “Damn it !” she growled. “ Somebody Help Meeee!!!! “ She screamed. Her eyes filled with tears when she receive an answers. Her legs gave out and she fell to her knees. ‘ So this is how it ends? ‘ She silently asked the gods. ‘Am I to die here … alone? ‘ “ My, My” A smooth masculine voice teased from above. “ What do we have here? “ Kagome’s body tensed as the familiar voice registered inside her brain. She slowly lifted her head, and shivered as chills ran up her spine. He stood high above her; his long midnight tresses twisted into the braid he wore when she last seen him. ‘ No … it can’t be ‘ Kagome thought while silently watching the braid sway from side to side. Her focus then shifted to his handsome face. It didn’t take a fool to see how attractive he was with his dashing ocean blue eyes, flawless complexion, and undeniably manly features. Even the large Purple star in the middle of his head seemed to give him a type of dangerous sex appeal. “ Bankotsu … “ She managed to choke out. The smile she got in return made her blood run cold. ‘ How the hell am I going to get myself out of this one? ‘ “ So we meet again “ Bankotsu said with a smirk. “ I thought I’d never get to see your pretty little face again. “ Kagome blushed at the compliment, but shrieked as she found herself face to face with Mr. mercenary himself. “ Please allow me the pleasure, Babe “ ‘ Babe? ‘ Kagome’s eye twitched as he wrapped his strong arms around her waist and jumped out the well. Once they landed he immediately released her causing her to stagger and fall flat on her bottom. ‘ Ouch! ‘ Kagome groaned as she leaned forward and rubbed her sore bum. Bankotsu tilted his head and stared at her in wonder. “ You’re not very graceful are you?” Kagome growled while pointing an accusing finger at him. “ YOU’RE THE ONE THAT DROPPED ME YOU IDIOT! “ She yelled, but quickly regretted it when she remembered who she was talking to. Bankotsu remained silent for a moment before deciding to brush off her little outburst. “ Yeah, Yeah … “ He replied with a slight wave of his hand. Kagome quietly released the breath she didn’t know she’d been holding. ‘ I have got to be more careful. ‘ She reminded herself. ‘ This man is not Inuyasha … he’s a ruthless killer! ‘ Her eyes briefly softened as she continued to stare at him. ‘ But then again I thought the same thing about Inuyasha when I met him … and for some reason Bankotsu seems much different from before … his eyes hold more warmth inside them. ‘ Seeing the soft look in the woman’s eyes , the Shichinintai member uncomfortably shifted and cleared his throat to get her attention. “ So tell me, Why are you here and where is that stupid half demon of yours? “ @ @
