Sharing is Good

Tonight, they were watching a movie at Yusuke’s house. They had been spending more and more time together, whenever Kagome and Inuyasha were in her time period. Yusuke was in his kitchen gathering their snacks while the others set up the living room. When he walked back into the room with his arms loaded down he was met with a sight that made him grin.

“Well, if I was a jealous man, I think I would have to kick your ass right about now Alpo.” Yusuke smirked at the other man putting everything he had in his arms on the side table. “Well, I suppose you could try, but I’m rather comfortable and don’t feel like putting in the effort to prove you wrong.” Inuyasha taunted him from the couch where he was sitting. He had his arms around Kagome and Keiko and they were both snuggled up close to him. He shifted them closer to him, and ran one of his hands down Kagome’s arm and one down Keiko’s back.

“I suppose I can let it slide tonight, but you’ll have to share.” Yusuke laughed as he plopped down on the couch besides them and then scooped Kagome into his lap. She was closest to him and the easiest target. “Hey!” Inuyasha complained as she was pulled out of his arms. “What, I told you you’d have to share” Yusuke laughed again at his friend’s reaction. He knew how possessive he could be over Kagome, but really it was only fair, as his girl was snuggled against the dog demon. Yusuke settled into the corner of the couch and pulled Kagome along with him, pulling her across his lap so she leaned against the arm of the couch where he settled one arm around her waist and the other across her legs. He smirked at the other man. Inuyasha glared at him before an evil smirk crossed his face, two could play that game.

Inuyasha shifted so that he could pull his feet under him to sit cross legged on the couch, and then promptly pulled Keiko into the space made in his lap. He turned a challenging eyebrow to the other before he pulled her closer to his body, wrapping his arms around her tightly and leaned down to whisper to her, making it look like he was nuzzling her neck. “Play along okay…” she nodded just enough for him to know she heard him and would cooperate.

Keiko wasn’t sure what he was up to, but she trusted him, and besides Yusuke was draped around Kagome, so it’s not like he had any reason to get angry. Besides, she rather liked how comfortable settled against Inuyasha like this. She glanced over at Yusuke so she could gauge his reaction and make sure he wasn’t about to do anything stupid like pick a fight, and was thoroughly surprised by what she seen.

Yusuke had tightened his grip on Kagome but had yet to move to answer Inuyasha’s silent challenge. He was still staring at them and the look on his face was what surprised Keiko the most. Instead of jealous or even the anger she had expected, she could see the lust burning in his eyes. She had seen that look on his face enough times in the past to know he wasn’t angry by the little display at all, but instead found it very sexy. She grinned at him, letting him know his secret was out, at least with her before doing a partial turn and snuggling against Inuyasha’s chest. She gave Yusuke another heated glaze before closing her eyes and pushing as close as she could in that position to Inuyasha. She felt Inuyasha jerk in surprise that she would do that, but it quickly passed before he was back to holding her close.

“Careful you don’t encourage her too much Inuyasha, you don’t know how determined Keiko can be.” Yusuke slowly warned him, never taking his eyes off of how his girlfriend snuggled into Inuyasha’s lap. He had to admit that they did look good together. He could tell too that Keiko liked the current situation and he wondered just what that would mean for all of them later, because he meant his warning to the other boy, she wasn’t easy to discourage once she decided on something. He decided he didn’t care what it meant for them, but that he would enjoy the situation himself and with that thought turned back to Kagome.

Kagome had been silently watching everything up until now and she had seen the silent interchange between Keiko and Yusuke, and the fact that Inuyasha seemed to enjoy having the other girl snuggled so close to him and was apparently not very concerned that she herself was quite comfortably reclined into a lap that was not his own. She filed all that information away to figure out some other time. Right now, all she wanted to do was relax and enjoy this movie.

Figuring no one else was going to do it, she reached over and grabbed the remote and a snack and pushed play. She made no move of her own to move away from Yusuke and was quite pleased when he relaxed his tight hold on her and actually held her comfortably. She wasn’t sure if they felt this was a little weird too, but she was okay with this if everyone else. Besides, she was really comfortable being held against Yusuke like this.
