Chapter 3
Chapter 3
Big thanks to my super wonderful beta BladeMaxwell-GoddessofDeath!
Harry blushed neon red, "Errr, you see…it's like this…the reason I was doing that to the tree was…never mind, it's not that important anyway."
With that Harry moved so he was hiding behind Inuyasha as they continued to follow the river with Shippo happily walking next to it and throwing stones into the river as they walked along.
"What's the matter Harry-Kun?" Kagome asked as the new half inu hid behind his mate.
Suddenly a large silly grin came to Inuyasha's face, "Ah Harry-love, you didn't have to go to all of that trouble for little old me."
With that Inuyasha spun around and scooped a surprised and blushing Harry up into his arms and hugged him tightly.
"I wanted to though," Harry said with a blush.
"What's going on with them now?" Miroku asked as he watched the two mates share a love filled kiss.
"It's simple really," Inuyasha said as he finished the kiss although he didn't put Harry down, not that Harry was complaining, "Me and my Harry-love here are mates and with that comes with lots of great and wonderful things, even if some of them are headaches, one thing that sometimes happens when both dominate mate and submissive mate are in true love and are true soul mates is that sometimes the submissive may try and woo the dominate mate.
A spark shone in Kagome's eyes, "And your saying that Harry was trying to 'woo his dominate mate' by destroying that tree?"
Harry let out a groan and hid his face in Inuyasha's bright red outfit as Inuyasha let out a heart full laugh, "No Kagome, Harry was supposed to try and make something out of the tree but it seemed that the tree somehow won their little fight."
"It wasn't my fault," Harry said with puffed out checks as the group laughed, "There was a tree demon that attacked just as the tree feel over."
"So that's why we felt an attack coming and got ready to protect Kagome and Shippo for although Inuyasha did nothing and only that tree fell down," Sango said as she traded looks with Miroku, "There was a demon about but you had just finished killing it."
"That's right," Harry said as he wiggled about until Inuyasha placed him down on the ground so he could walk himself, "Though-what the hell Kagome-chan?"
"I need your advice," Kagome said as she dragged Harry ahead of the group though not far enough that Inuyasha couldn't keep an eye on his mate and the girl he saw as a sister.
"Do we have to be this far away from the others," Harry asked as he look behind him and gave a smile to Inuyasha who returned the smile with one of his own.
"Yes we have to be this far away," Kagome hissed as she made sure that none of the group was listening, "I need some advice about something…"
"About a dominate that you're in love with but won't start wooing you properly and all," Harry said as he made a guess and by the look in Kagome's eyes Harry had made the correct guess. "What's wrong? Maybe he has plans to start but he's never found a way to start wooing you or he's never found the perfect moment to start, Kagome he's probably only nervous and a bit shy about this."
"Really?" Kagome asked with a hopeful look, "But he is not the type to be 'shy'."
"I'm sure," Harry said with a nod of his head, "And he may not appear to be the type to be shy but even the most dominate mate can get a bit shy and nervous around the beginning of the wooing stage."
"Alright," Kagome said as she bite her thumb nail, "So if I wanted to start wooing him so he'd know that I wouldn't be offended about his feelings and they are returned and all that how would I start?"
Harry gave the nervous miko a calming smile, "I too am from the future like you though from an area in England that's a lot like medieval England, so in the simplest words I can say, woo this man as if you was going after one of your boyfriends in your secondary school back home."
"I guess the saying 'the way to a man's heart is through his stomach' works in this case," Kagome said nervously before realizing what Harry had revealed, "Wait you're from the future too?"
"And here I thought the best way to a person's heart was with a giant wooden stake and wooden hammer and by pushing the stake up through their rib cage from the stomach to the heart as the wooden stake won't get trapped in the rib cage," Harry teased Kagome with a smile, "And yes I'm from the future, what I just said was one of my favourite near quotes from a series of books called 'Anita Blake by Laura .K. Hamilton."
Kagome blinked, she had heard of those books but her Mother and Grandfather had told her she was too young to read them and to wait a few years.
"Wait," Kagome said, "Just how did you use this portkey/time turner merge thing to get here? You didn't come through the well?"
Before Harry could give Kagome a reply the high pitch sound of a young child's scream echoed throughout the forest.
