I Will Be There When You're Feeling Scared

I'm Here For You

Chapter 3--- “I Will Be There When You're Feeling Scared”

Ginta's heart jumped when he and Inuyasha locked eyes. It was strange how the hanyou immediately looked past Kouga and met his gaze; but at the same time, he was flattered that Inuyasha had acknowledged his presence before Kouga's. Ginta quickly turned his head away to hide his embarrassment. When he glanced back at the hanyou, he was both relieved and somewhat bummed to find that the inu was arguing with Kouga. It was the same situation as it was a couple days ago: Kagome giggling, Kouga smirking, and Inuyasha lashing out in frustration. He felt bad for Inuyasha. The hanyou just wanted the attention of his woman; but instead, she gave it to his enemy. It was a sad sight.

A few minutes later, it seemed as if Inuyasha gave up. He fell silent, allowing Kouga to turn his attention back to the girl. The half-demon looked back at Ginta, his distress showing through his features. The wolf's body tensed and he looked away nervously. Thoughts about the dreams he had been having entered his mind briefly, but that wasn't what was bothering him. It seemed like Inuyasha was looking to him for help, but what could he do? His mind swam as he desperately tried to come up with an idea to make Inuyasha his usual arrogant self again. *I guess I could just talk to him about it...* he thought with a silent sigh.

Ginta turned back to the dog-demon and gasped. A big, shadow-like youkai crouched behind Inuyasha, ready to pounce. Before fear or common sense could register with his mind, he dove forward, determined to protect the man he cared for. “Inuyasha!” he yelled while charging at the large, dark figure looming on all fours behind the half-demon. He stared into its crimson eyes and, with a feral growl, thrust his fist toward the demon's head. It was then that time seemed to slow down to a snail's pace. Ginta watched his arm swing and miss its target. He saw the youkai grin and open its mouth, revealing teeth that could easily be mistaken for daggers. The ookami winced and turned his head, anticipating the fatal attack.

“Move!”

The wolf-demon grunted as he fell to the ground. Thinking he had been hit, he quickly checked his face and arms for blood or bruises and was surprised to find that he was alright. He glanced back at the ebony demon to see Inuyasha fighting it off with the Tetsusaiga. There was no way that Ginta could stop his soft lips from curling into a smile or the tears forming in his eyes. Inuyasha had saved him. It took everything he had to keep himself from running up and tightly embracing the hanyou. Hakkaku's hand on his shoulder snapped him out of his thoughts.

“Are you alright?” asked the blond ookami.

Ginta nodded in response and scanned the area. Another one of the large, black, fox-like demons had appeared and was fighting with Kouga, Miroku, and Sango. He switched his focus back to the inu, noticing that the ebony-furred demon had a deep red gash across his eye and forehead that was spilling blood onto the ground. Inuyasha lifted the Tetsusaiga, ready to attack again; but a high-pitched howl broke his concentration.

Ginta looked around and spotted a third demon off in the distance, calling out to its kin. Before anybody could react, the two youkai that they were fighting had retreated to their leader, and the three of them disappeared into the horizon.

Inuyasha growled softly as he put his sword away and stared off into the distance absentmindedly. He heard the voices of his friends in the background. Miroku mumbled something about how they must have stumbled upon the demons' territory, Sango checked up on Shippou, and Hakkaku was making sure that Ginta was okay. Then his ears began to sting when he heard Kouga's voice. The hanyou spun around, glaring at the ookami who had Kagome's hands clasped within his own.

“That was a close one, Kouga. I thought that demon had me for sure,” she said with a blush.

The wolf grinned conceitedly. “Well that mutt wasn't paying attention enough to protect you, so I had to step in.”

Ginta gasped sharply, knowing that the statement would hurt Inuyasha. He looked over and saw the hanyou staring at the ground, fuming with anger; his fists clenched, growls emanating from behind clenched teeth, his body shaking slightly. The wolf had obviously gone too far. *Damn it, Kouga...*

“Get the Hell out of here,” Inuyasha commanded in a low, firm voice. He placed a hand on the hilt of the Tetsusaiga as Kouga began to laugh.

Sensing the dog-demon's impending rage, Kagome gently pushed Kouga away. “Umm, maybe you should go, Kouga. We can talk some other time.”

The ebony-haired man frowned. He knew she was right, and as much as he didn't want to admit it, he didn't want to get into a fight with Inuyasha. “Alright, if that's what you want,” he said with a sigh, “but that mutt better not let anything happen to you while I'm gone.”

“Leave,” Inuyasha growled sternly. He didn't bother looking up to make sure the wolf left. He didn't raise his head to meet Ginta's concerned gaze. His unfocused stare remained transfixed on the ground. As soon as the sound of the demons' footsteps faded, Inuyasha hopped up into a tree, not wanting to talk to anybody at the moment.

Inuyasha remained perched on the tree branch for the rest of the day, ignoring anybodies' attempts to get him down. He even insisted on spending all night up there. *I'll be sociable in the morning,* he thought as he stared into the starry horizon.

His anger for Kagome had subsided slightly, and Kouga was far from his thoughts. But he couldn't get his mind off of Ginta. “Why did that skinny wolf try to protect me? He could have been killed,” Inuyasha mumbled, thinking out loud. “Okay, so he really does care about me... but how much? He put his life on the line to save me... And what was with him blushing earlier? The only other person who ever acted that way around me was Kagome.” Inuyasha gasped when a question entered his mind. “Is Ginta in love with me? He obviously cares about me... maybe even more than Kagome does right now... So should I consider being with him? He has everything that I see in her except...”

He sighed and folded his arms. *So much for that plan. I can't be with someone that I'm not physically attracted to. Well... I guess he's cute, but I doubt I'd ever be able to be intimate with him.* The hanyou spent a few more minutes pondering the situation before coming up with a solution. *If I am going to pursue a relationship with him, then I need to try and become sexually attracted to him.*

The half-demon slipped a hand into his hakama and began fondling his soft member as he shut his eyes tightly, thinking about Ginta. He imagined how the wolf would look in the nude; flat, pale chest resting above toned abs which led down to his proudly standing cock. Inuyasha opened his eyes and frowned. He could've sworn that his dick shrunk at the thought. Ginta may have been kind, but he didn't have what Inuyasha wanted physically. Kagome, on the other hand, was beautiful, and it was possible that this Kouga thing was just a phase that she was going through. The hanyou smiled, he would have his Kagome back to normal soon; until then, he would have to try to remain optimistic. He gave his hardening member a slight stroke. “Kagome...” he whispered softly. He soon brought himself to completion with thoughts of him and the human girl.

~*~

“I don't see why that mangy wolf deserves your food,” Inuyasha muttered and crossed his arms.

“Because he protected me against those demons yesterday, I want to thank him,” Kagome answered as she sat down on the edge of the Bone-Eater's Well.

The hanyou let out a jealous growl. “I protect you all the time and I never get any special treatment.”

Kagome rolled her eyes in response. “Just wait here, I won't be long.” With that, the human hopped into the well, returning to her own era.

“Whatever,” he mumbled and sat against the well. He thought about how Kouga constantly hit on Kagome, about how she teased him and did everything but reject him, and about what Ginta had said. Inuyasha groaned softly to himself; here he was again, thinking about the quiet wolf-demon. He still didn't know what to make of his feelings for the youkai. He thought that he might have the same interest in the wolf that he had with Kagome; however, there was still some absence of physical attraction. *I'll have to force it then...* he thought and undid the sash around his waist. It was hard to stay optimistic with the way Kagome has been acting. He wanted to believe that she would get over the wolf, but he wasn't patient enough to wait. He pulled his pants down slightly and began rubbing his thick, limp member. If Kagome was going to pick Kouga over him, then he should move on to somebody who actually seemed to care about him; it seemed logical to Inuyasha.

The hanyou cleared his mind of everything except for Ginta. He pictured the wolf sitting beside him, placing soft kisses on his neck. The gentle kisses would then move from his neck, down his torso, and all over the base of his cock. Inuyasha moaned almost silently as he imagined the ookami's lips circling around his flaccid manhood and grinned as he became hard. *There we go...* He began sliding his hand quickly up and down his hardening arousal, squeezing at various intervals. He tried hard to mimic how he imagined the wolf's mouth to feel; the heat, the suction, the pleasure. Using his other hand, he cupped his balls and massaged them gently. He threw his head back, hitting it softly on the wood behind him.

This was what he needed: freedom from his feelings for Kagome. He had somebody else to care for now, somebody that he trusted to stay loyal to him. He didn't need the girl; and, luckily, she was the furthest thing from his mind right now.

Inuyasha moaned out the wolf's name almost unexpectedly; but hearing the name flow from his lips like a beautiful melody caused his heart to beat faster. He continued to whimper out Ginta's name as he stroked himself. The level of his voice rose with every down-stroke of his fist until he was almost shouting the youkai's name. He soon became breathless and shut his eyes tightly; his yells were reduced to labored pants of pleasure. He gently thrust his hips upward, picturing himself pumping his length deep into the wolf demon's throat.

“Oh Gods...” he whispered as he began to feel his climax approaching. He moved his hands and hips frantically, his chest heaved madly, and his ears twitched at the wet sound his hand made on his pre-cum-soaked shaft. A few moans later, his body trembled and he bucked his hips roughly. “Ginta!” he cried out as his body tensed with his orgasm. His thick cock pulsed as it shot out ropes of viscid fluid. The first powerful jet of cum landed on his kimono. The second and third struck his chin and a flushed cheek. The rest of his opaque seed coated the Fire-Rat Kimono which was rising and falling along with the hanyou's heavy breathing.

Inuyasha took a minute to catch his breath and collect his thoughts. Clearly he was attracted to Ginta; however, he was beginning to feel guilty. Sure he trusted the wolf and knew that Ginta cared for him, but his anger toward Kagome had faded for now and he felt bad for wanting to move on to somebody else.

A soft thud from the well caught his attention. *Kagome!* Panicking, he frantically wiped the cum off of his face and onto whatever he could: the well, the grass. He put his pants back on and tried to get most of the liquid off of his kimono. He frowned when a visible white-ish stain was left behind.

“Hey Inuyasha,” Kagome smiled widely as she climbed out of the well.

The half-demon stood up and crossed his arms in front of him, trying to cover the spots on his clothes. He softly and nervously smiled back. *She's happy to see me... And I was ready to give up on her... Some friend I am...*

The human pulled out a bag of mixed candies and waved them playfully. “I brought these to thank Kouga with, so we need to go find him,” she said with a nod.

Inuyasha scowled at her when she turned her back to him. *Then again, things won't change unless I change them myself...*

Yay for a chapter longer than 2 pages! lol. I hate changing perspective in the middle of a chapter, but I dealt with it ^_^ Ugh, I had to call Kagome beautiful in this one >_> Hate herrrrr- bitch is lucky I haven't completely destroyed her in a fic yet xP

On a side note- This march will be a year since my first submission, yay! So to celebrate, I'm writing a fic where Inuyasha will go through no pain or drama at all (since my first fic had him all angsty and stuff, I think I owe him...). I'm not sure who to pair him up with, so along with your feedback on this chapter, I'd appreciate it if you put in some input on some ideas for this fic. It's not just to make Inuyasha happy, it's a way of saying thanks to everybody who's ever given me feedback, praise, criticism, etc- so any input you have will be taken into consideration.

On another side note- I'll be 19 on Sunday, yayyy! Then I go back to school on Tuesday -_-
