Chapter Three: Remembering
MM22: This were Styxx comes in…. He’s Ash’s ‘brother’ so to speak. In the book ‘Acheron’, by Sherrilyn; Ash was stowed away to safety of human mother’s womb, by Basi (an Atlantean Goddess, by Apollymi’s orders.) And Apollymi is Acheron’s actual mother and Goddess of Destruction. Ash’s human mother was the Queen of Didymos, Aara.
As the song ‘Chop Suey!’ by System of a Down, blared through the bar, Ash had noticed something he’d hadn’t seen since Ancient Greece, a short time before Atlantis fell at the hands his true mother, Apollymi. Mia was in the middle of the dance floor, performing an ancient tantalizing belly-dance that was use by Aphrodite’s priestess. Ash instantly, thought she’d looked like Ryssa; that was until he got a glimpse of a familiar tattoo.
Ash was lying on the floor riving in pain from his latest punishment from Artemis. Cursing lightly Ash looked at the ‘Bitch Goddess’ and sneered in pure hate, “I hope you feel better…”
A load crack echoed through the temple and Ash bit back a cry of pain as a nine-tail whip met his back, tearing at his skin. A female figure came into his line of sight as Artemis continued her assault on his person, with a sadistic smile playing on her lips. When the female figure came into the light, a look of pure disgust on her beautiful pale face, the new comer turn to Artemis and spoke in loathing evident in her soft voice.
“What in Hades’s name is wrong with you, Artemis? He’s an Atlantean God; do you know how many treaties you are breaking by even holding him here against his will?”
“What would you know? You’re nothing but some scum, father took in….” Artemis hissed at the woman who reacted by breaking Artemis’s perfect little nose.
“I am more of a goddess, than you’d ever be.” The woman hissed at her as she set to freeing Ash from his chains, with a gentle and kind hand.
“…..Bitch!!!” Artemis yelled in rage, as she lashed at the woman with the whip.
The woman lifted her head and cried out in pain, as Artemis continued her assault on the woman; she collapsed by Ash with clench teeth. Her pale silver grey, blue and green eyes met Ash’s own swirling silver eyes; it was in those beautiful eyes Ash had seen one of the most terrifyingly devoted oaths made. He somehow knew that this small framed woman will never rest until Artemis paid in full for her crimes….
“Ash…. Hey, Ash. He’s here.” Savitar snapped the Atlantean out of his memories, as a man, that looked just like Ash sat at their table.
Looking at his spitting image, aside from the eyes, Ash spoke softly, “Hello, Styxx….”
“There are three reasons why I am here. One: I am sorry about Tori, I liked her, two: I want help to find the bastard, who her from you, and three: there’s buzz about a major show down, which you all probably know about it already.” Styxx spoke as his blue eyes met Ash’s.
“Thank you, your help will be appreciated, and yes I knew something was brewing.” Ash nodded and looked at the crowd, before to Styxx, “Despite everything else how are you, brother?”
“I’ll live, you?”
“The same…” Ash responded lips twitched lightly, as he thought of the absurdity of Styxx asking about his well being.
“I need to go.” Savitar stood lightly and continued, before leaving, “You know how to reach me if you need me.”
“Bye.” Styxx waved lightly to the Were-leader.
Ash nodded to his friend and mentor, keeping any eye on the two women that know danced to Pantera’s, Symphony of Destruction. His swirling gaze transfixed on the two as Ami, one of Mamma Lo’s children came up to one of the girls and whispered something into her ear. The girl smiled and nodded lightly, before she turned her friend and motioned for her to follow as she headed to the stage…..
