Chapter Three - Get Away From Me

The morning after, Rin awoke to the ringing of her cell phone. "Hello?" Rin said sleepily. She didn't even look at who was calling ...
"Rin? Did I wake you?"
"Who is this?" Rin yawned as she sat up on her bed and wiped the sleep from her eyes.
"Sesshomaru."
Rin was wide-awake now. She didn't expect him to call the day after ... or this early in the morning. It was around eight thirty and the sun was shining bright through her window. "Oh, hey. Good morning, nice to hear from you so soon." Rin said with a smile.
"Nice to hear form you too." Sesshomaru chuckled, "Do you want to go out later?"
"Yeah of course. Where?" Rin said walking over to her closet to find something to wear to work later.
"You'll see." Sesshomaru smiled, "I'll call you later alright?"
"Yeah, Bye." And she hung up. Rin was so excited, but worried. She didn't know where they were going and she didn't know what to wear, and she forgot to ask. 'Ugh, Rin you're so stupid!'

As Sesshomaru hung up the phone, he left his room and made his journey to the dining room, which was a means away from his bedroom. "Morning father, mother." He said as he walked into the room to find them already sitting around the table. (A/N: Although Izayoi isn't Sesshomarus' mother, he still calls her mother, because he has grown accustomed to it. And yes in my story his mother is dead, And back to the story.) Also finding InuYasha sitting, glaring at him, "So when did you come home last night Sesshomaru?" InuYasha said.
"Yes Sesshomaru, I don't think that I heard from you ... the entire day actually." InuTaisho said as he looked up from the newspaper he was reading.
"I went out for a while. I didn't really get to stay for InuYashas' party. I departed shortly before he arrived." Sesshomaru said as he sat down at the table, across from InuYasha. "I forgot to inform you of this, my apologies father." Sesshomaru said before he began to eat his breakfast. After which he returned to his room.
For the rest of the time he was at home, he couldn't keep his mind off Rin. Her smile, her eyes, her laugh ... he couldn't stop himself from thinking about her.

The rest of the day for Rin passed by in a flash. When Rin finally pulled up in her driveway, it was just after 7 o'clock and she wondered what time Sesshomaru would be calling her, what he was doing, and if he was thinking about her.
Rin sighed as she stepped out of her car, 'Why can't I stop thinking about him?' She thought as she walked up to her door and unlocked it. Stepping inside she closed the door behind her and made her way to the shower. A few minutes after, when Rin had left the shower and was now in her room looking at he closet thinking of what to wear; her cell phone began to ring. "Hello?"
"Good evening, Rin." Sesshomaru said smiling on the other end.
"Hi Sesshomaru," Rin said cheerfully, "Where are we going to go today? I don't know what to wear!"
"Well, wear what you are comfortable in." Sesshomaru said as he gave a little chuckle, "What time should I pick you up?"
"Rin looked at the time and saw that it was about quarter to eight, "About eight thirty?"
"Yeah, I'll see you then?"
"I'll see you." Rin said smiling, "Bye Sesshomaru."
"Bye" He said before he hung up the phone.
Rin looked back at her closet and thought, "Wear what I'm comfortable in..."

As Sesshomaru hung up the phone, he walked over to his closet and began looking around for what he should wear. Sesshomaru took a shower and put on his clothes. When he left his room, he was wearing a black t-shirt and jeans, with black and white shoes. He made his way down the hall to his fathers study and entered it. "Father?"
"Yes Sesshomaru?" InuTaisho said still looking down at the book he was reading.
"I'm going out." Sesshomaru said still standing in front of the desk that his father sat around.
"Oh?" he said, looking at his son, "With whom?"
"With a friend actually."
"When will you be getting home?"
"I'm not too sure, but I will surely call you. Although I might not be home until late."
"Alright, have fun. Be safe" InuTaisho smiled and resumed reading his book. Sesshomaru turned and left his father to his book and made his way down the halls and out the door.

Rin was still undecided on her outfit. She had changed three times and finally picked one; A white v-neck short-sleeved shirt that didn't show too much cleavage and black shorts. She looked at the time and saw that it was almost 8:30. 'I hope this is good enough.' Rin thought anxiously. "Well, maybe I could pick something else out?" She said to herself; then the doorbell rang, her heart almost stopped.
She ran to the door from her upstairs bedroom and opened it, "Hey Sess-Kyou?"
"Hey Rin, sorry for coming so unexpected. But I thought we could hang out-"
"Get away from me Kyou."

(Flashback)
Kyou was Rins' ex-boyfriend. They had been friends for 3 years until they finally tried to be in a relationship with each other. After about 2 years of dating, they decided to move in together, Kyou liked to go out and party a lot and Rin more stayed home. Kagome called her one evening after Kyou had went out and said that she had seen him with another girl, and they were acting a little too friendly.
Kyou came home that evening and saw Rin sitting on the couch. He moved over to her and tried to kiss her but she held her hand up to him to stop him. "What's wrong Rin?"
"I'm surprised you can still say that and care," Rin said standing, "Are you cheating on me?"
"N-no, what would make you think that?" Kyou said nervously.
"I don't know," Rin said, her anger escalating, "Maybe the fact that you're a fucking asshole!" Rin said as she pushed him away from her.
"I still love you, Rin!" Kyou said angrily.
"Well you sure as hell don't show it!" Rin yelled, tears streaming down her face. How could he still say that he loved her and turn around and do this? "Get the fuck out of my house."
"Rin, I'm not going anywhere." Kyou said menacingly, "I'll show you I still love you." He began to take steps toward Rin who was instinctively moving away from him.
"Get the fuck away from me!" Rin yelled as she was backed up into a wall.
Kyou grabbed her wrists and pinned them over her head with one arm and forcibly kissed her. Rin was revolted and she tried to break away, but he was too strong for her. When he finally broke their kiss off he dragged her upstairs, all the while Rin was trying to get away from him. He than proceeded in his violent conquest of 'Love' and raped her.

"Rin. Don't push me away." Kyou said darkly as he tried to force his way into her home.
"Get away!" Rin said sharply as she was pushing on the door.
"Is there something wrong here?" Sesshomaru said walking up to the front steps of Rins home, taking in the situation with growing displeasure.
Rin looked at him with fear in her eyes and said, "Nothing, Kyou was just leaving." She looked at Kyou, "Right Kyou?"
"Yeah, I'll see you later Rin." He said as he shot a dark look to both Rin and Sesshomaru.
Sesshomaru watched him walk to his car and drive away, then looked to Rin, "Did he harm you?"
"Oh no I'm fine." Rin said smiling, although there was sadness in her eyes. "Do you still want to go?"
"I should be asking you the same thing."
"Yeah let's go." Rin said smiling. She wanted to get Kyou off her mind, for good. "Come in I just have to get a few things."
Sesshomaru entered her home and waited close by the shut door long enough for Rin to get a sweater, and her purse. When she came back towards the front, she slipped on a pair of black ballet flats and walked with Sesshomaru out the door.
Sesshomaru as always opened the door for Rin to enter his car and then went to his.
"So, where are we going?" Rin said cheerfully.
"You'll see." Sesshomaru said smiling, "I think you'll like it though."
"Alright."
First they went to eat at a small café near their destination, although Rin didn't really know where they were going. After returning to his car, Sesshomaru drove for about 5 minutes and pulled up at the ending of a street. Rin was a little confused, but said nothing as they got out of the car.
They walked on a small path from where they parked and Sesshomaru knew that they were getting close. "Close your eyes, I want this to be a surprise." He said smiling at her. Rin was confused and little anxious, but still said nothing. They walked for a short distance when Rin heard Sesshomarus voice, "Open your eyes."
Opening her eyes, Rin saw that they were standing on some sort of cliff overlooking a long beach with huge rocks lining half the shore and a small forest after a white sandy beach. The sky was dark blue and the moon was shining brightly in the night sky, only a few stars were visible. "It's ... beautiful." This place was so peaceful, and no one but them, were there to enjoy it. "Thank you, so much." She said as she hugged him.
Sesshomaru smiled at her and took her hand to walk down to the shore. They made their way across the sandy beach and climbed on one of the rocks, taking a seat there. Sesshomaru sat with Rin between his parted legs, his hands wrapped around her and his chin resting on her shoulder. They sat thus for hours, looking up at the sky with the soothing sound of the waves hitting the rocks below their feet, each enjoying the others company.
"Rin."
"Hmm?"
"Come, it's getting late. I think we should start heading back."
"Alright," Rin said standing.
When Sesshomaru stood, they started the walk hand-in-hand back to his car. Driving back to their destination, Sesshomaru walked with Rin to her door.
'Thank you so much for today." Rin said smiling.
"Don't worry about it." Sesshomaru smiled back.
Rin unlocked her door and took a step inside; she turned to find Sesshomaru walking back to his car. "Hey Sesshomaru!" Rin called after him. He turned and looked at her. "Come."
Sesshomaru walked back to her and just as he was in front of her, Rin slung her arms around his neck and kissed him. Sesshomaru wrapped his arms around her waist and brought her closer to him. After Rin broke away, she smiled at him. His arms were still around her waist and her arms around his neck when she asked, "Do you want to come in?"
"Sure." Sesshomaru said as he released his arms and walked behind her into her home. The couple walked to the living room and turned on the TV. With Sesshomarus head in Rins lap, they watched a movie.
They talked and laughed and once again lost track of all time. Each one delighted in the presence of the other. At one point they had moved to a spot on the floor in front of the TV, where Rin spread a blanket down and they talked, face-to-face. At some time during the night they fell asleep.
