Dating tips
A/N: Yay!!!!! Another chapter! I actually had fun with this one. Playing Gackt while writing helps. And writing a chapter before work is a bitch too. But here we go. Chapter three.
Chapter three: Dating tips.
For the rest of that day, Kagome did whatever she could do to avoid Sesshomaru. At lunch, during classes, and even after classes she dodged him and went straight for the dorms. She wanted nothing with the stoic demon lord. Not till she calmed down. Unfortunately her three friends could tell exactly what was going on with Kagome.
Sesshomaru let out a small sigh as he sat on a bench under a tree. He would have sat on the grass, but it was still wet from the morning shower. All day he tried for her attention, and all day Kagome ignored him. It was starting to irritate him more then Inuyasha did when he started ranting about trivial things. But what irritated him the most was that he didn’t understand why he was trying to get her attention. He was very curious about her and what she said about how she ‘traveled though time.’ She never explained to him what she meant about that. But it made sense why his brother just gave up on the miko and moved on. He still remembered when Inuyasha came to him and asked to be taught how to use a sword properly. Sesshomaru laughed in his face till he realized that Inuyasha was actually very serious. But the one thing he remembered was the one night they had a small conversation without angry words and without an argument.
Inuyasha started to talk to him about Kagome. How he had lost the one thing that was most important in his life. He kept going on how he mistreated her, hurt her so many times, and yet, she still loved him more then anything. And now she was gone forever and there was nothing he could do about it. He protected her till the very end and he hoped to be with her forever. His last words before they both retired for bed was ‘If I wasn’t a Hanyou, maybe I could be with her in the future.’ Sesshomaru never understood what he meant, but now he did. If his brother was a full demon, he would have lived much longer and would have been with the woman he loved. Now here Sesshomaru was, pushing almost a thousand years old. He had to move from place to place so no one would figure it out. After the war with the humans and demons, he had to go into hiding. He lost his castle, his subjects, everything because of that war. He heard that even Koga lost everything as well. But what happened to other wasn’t his business.
Instantly he was forced from his thoughts as he could feel three humans approaching him. “What do you want?” He demanded, not even looking at them.
Three girls walked over to them, all smiles on their faces. “Hello Taisho-san. I’m Eri, this is Yuka and Ayumi. We’re Kagome’s friends.”
“That doesn’t matter to me.” He said simply.
Eri shook her head at him. “Now that’s not how you talk to someone who’s going to help you.”
“Anyways if you keep talking like that, you’ll never get Kagome.” Yuka pointed out.
That caught Sesshomaru’s attention. “Excuse me?”
“We want to help you win Kagome’s heart.” Ayumi happily said. “After all, when you showed up, she’s starting to get some life back into her eyes. After her first lost love, we wanna help her! Ow!” She rubbed her now bruised ribs.
Eri cleared her throat. “We wish to know first if your feelings for her are real.”
“This Sesshomaru does not understand.”
Yuka shook her head. “Maybe you’re more of a lost cause then anything.”
“Well, Taisho-san, does it anger you when some other guy talks to her? Do you feel like you need to protect her from the world’s dangers? Do you argue with her just to get a reaction? What about that you want to be with her no matter what? To protect that smile of hers from ever turning into tears?”
“Okay Ayumi that’s enough.” Eri sighed.
Sesshomaru was already in deep thought at that. For a long time he was interesting in the miko. When he saw the Inu named Tai talking to her, it angered him and wanted to rip the man’s throat out. He did want to protect her in some sense. Almost like how he wanted to protect Rin, but somehow, this seemed different. A small smile reached his lips as he remembered how much fun it was to anger her. To see her face turn red from embarrassment because she said something wrong or because she was mad at him. But the thought of her crying… that wouldn’t do. He would kill someone for making her cry.
“What are you getting at?” Sesshomaru demanded.
Ayumi gave her friends a smug smile knowing she got though to him first. “That means you love her Taisho-san.”
Sesshomaru instantly gave her a glare. “Nonsense.”
“So if another guy came up to her and asked her on a date, you can honestly look me in the eye and tell me that it doesn’t anger you?” Yuka stated.
His eyes narrowed at the thought of some other guy asking his miko out on a date. Wait… his miko?
Eri glanced at her friends and knew that they had him. “You didn’t know did you? Well you’re new so of course you didn’t know.”
“Know what?” he demanded.
Yuka instantly butted in. “Kagome is the most wanted girl on campus. A lot of guys are attracted to her and some have already asked her out. Of course, she always turned them down, but she won’t turn all of them down forever. Now that I think about it, isn’t she still a virgin?”
“Yuka!” Eri snapped. “You’re not supposed to tell anyone about that! Kagome is still shy about that!”
Yuka sunk a little. “Sorry…”
Sesshomaru on the other hand was shocked at the news. He was sure that his half brother mated the girl. But she was still untouched. Untouched and his to take now.
“Anyways,” Eri sighed. “If you wanna win her heart, then this is what you should do.”
**
Kagome sat on her bed, a groan escaping her lips. “He’s so stupid!” She yelled, throwing her pillow. Knocking over the lamp of course was a bad thing to do. “Damn it…” Kagome sighed and fell back. “Maybe I should get my miko powers back in shape. That way if he does it again, I can purify his ass.”
‘Tink’
Kagome blinked as she sat up. “What was that?”
‘Tink’
The girl looked over, wishing she had her bow. If that was Sesshomaru throwing rocks at her window, she was going to kill him. Then again, the thought of Sesshomaru doing such a semi romantic thing made her giggle.
‘Tink’
Walking to her window, Kagome opened it to see not Sesshomaru, but Tai.
“Are you stalking me?” Kagome asked with an arched eyebrow.
Tai chuckled. “Little hime, only your scent smells like sweetened roses on a bright spring day.”
A small blush reached her cheeks. “What’s up?”
“There’s a small park nearby. I wanted to take you to it. Will you come down to me?” He reached out his hand, acting like a prince.
Before Kagome could answer, a hand covered her mouth and Eri stuck her head out. “Sorry! She’s busy right now!” She pulled Kagome in and shut the window.
“Eri…” Kagome glared. “I think I can make my own decisions.”
The girl just chuckled. “I know Kags, but Hojo is having a party and you have to go. After all, it’s his twenty third birthday and he wants you to show up. He’s invited half the campus.”
Kagome could see the evil gleam in her best friend’s eyes. “No.” She answered quickly. “You’re scheming something and I want no part of it.”
“Your right, I am, but that shouldn’t stop you from wishing Hojo a happy birthday. You owe him that much for all the times you ditched him in high school.”
Kagome gave a small sighed. “You’re a bitch Eri. What time is the party?”
Eri let out a squeal and handed Kagome a deep red dress. “Wear this. It’s going to be later on tonight around eight. The place is Hojo’s house.” With that she bounced off.
The girl looked at the dress and sighed once more. “What have I gotten myself into now…”
