Chapter 3- Fight to save a life and fight to survive
Three weeks. For three weeks he had been standing on the cliff side. Waiting and watching. Something powerful was coming and it was going to land were he stood. Sesshoumaru eyed the ground below. Spread out in front of him, an expansive sea laid. He watched as a lone ship sailed up into the near by cove. The ship wavered as the waves grew in size. A storm was coming, it boomed with energy as it let out thunderbolts. The clouds swirled as they overlapped each other. It was going to be fierce, the ship was lucky to have made it to a safe haven in time. He watch the vessel carefully, what ever he was looking for was on the ship.
He saw as they lowered a launch boat into the water. Six people where aboard the small vessel. There was one person though that stood out from all the rest. To all on the boat, he was just another human, another companion on his way home. But Sesshoumaru could see through the disguise. He saw the man’s true form and he wondered who he was. Power radiated off of the man in waves. Even from where he stood, Sesshoumaru, was having a hard time trying to do the simple task of breathing. The power was so great it made his body want to crumble. He stood firm, his eyes narrowing at him as he hit the soft sands of his territory.
Anubis stepped off the small vessel careful not to tip it. A small move could send them all over into the shallow water below. It was only a foot deep but it would hurt to get salt in your eyes. He was concealing himself from all the rest. He wished to be among all the people but didn’t wish to be in his true form. One look at him and every one would go running.
To everyone around him he looked to be just another average man. His dark brown hair fell just below shoulder length. It was tied back with a leather string at the nape of the neck. The strands that were left loose blew in the wind as they twirled in front of his face. His eyes were the darkest of brown. They sparked with every lightning bolt that illuminated the sky above. His face was square normal for an Asian. He had high cheek bones that accented his high eyebrows. He wasn’t very muscular, looking more like a city boy rather then a farmer or soldier. He was tall in comparison to most. He towered over the woman and stood about a foot over the men. His olive colored skin glowed in the darkness. Its sheen being accented by every move he made. He reached his hand forward as he helped a pregnant woman from where she sat. He smiled at her and she smiled back.
There was something about the mortal realm that he loved. Either it was because of their humanity that he found himself so enthralled in? Or was it because one day their life would end while his went on? He found it fascinating that they gained more knowledge in their life time then he could gain in several centuries. It made him even more curious to learn about them with every passing moment he spent on earth.
His mind kept wondering to his soulmate. He wondered what she would be like, what she would look like, and it she was as fragile as all the rest? He wondered if she would be pure? Saving herself for her true love or if she had already given it to another. He wondered if she would be human or demon? It wouldn’t matter to him what she was. All he wanted from her was her whole heart.
Sesshoumaru still stood on the cliff. He stood tall as he watch what was going on down below. He frowned at the man when he helped the human woman from her spot. If he was so powerful wouldn’t he be indifferent to those who where weaker then him? He looked to the sky for a brief moment as he watched the storm roll in. His mind moved to another. He thought about his ward. He hoped that his servant, Jaken, had found a suitable place for them to stay at. If he didn’t he would make sure to end the annoying toads life. He wondered if she was safe within a cave or under the cover of trees. If there was a fire going with food roasting on a stick over it. He held no feeling toward the child but he swore to himself to protect her. He would do it until she was old enough to leave his side and be on her own.
The people walked together making there way to the small fisherman’s town that was nestled a short distance away. It was a small village that probably only held 25 people in it. They saw as a woman around the age of 45 walk over to them. She had a limp as she walked. Anubis wondered if she had gotten hurt during a battle or if it was just a sprained ankle. She wore the miko garb and was leaning heavily on a recurve bow. He figured the woman was the head of the village since she was the one to greet them. Others followed after her. They held satchels and pitchforks as they readied to defend there home. Anubis stepped forward and bowed low. He didn’t know how to react with them since this was not his homeland. He followed what the others did when they had greeted the captain of the boat they had all traveled on. He had caught on to some of the concepts and figured that they would aid in the situation they where in now. The others followed what Anubis did and bowed low to the miko in front of them. She watched them with quizzical eyes before smiling and bowing back. She moved over to Anubis and laid a hand on his shoulder. She looked up into his eyes as she said, “Forgive us. Our village as been attack recently and we can’t help but be weary of way word travelers. It is nice to see new comers since it does not happen often. My I inquire where ye are from.”
The others piped up when they heard the mikos words. They immediately answered her question.
A girl around the age of 10 spoke first as she said, “My father and I are returning home to mother. We’ve been in china collecting herbs to help her with her sickness.”
The miko smiled at the young girl as her father shrugged. The next to speak was the pregnant woman, “We Miko-sama are coming back from a trip to China as well. We felt it time to return home.” The miko smiled at the young woman in front of her as she went to touch her stomach. The woman accepted her advance and smiled warmly. The older woman had closed her eyes as she focused on the baby’s health. When she knew he would be strong she let her hand drop to her side and smiled back.
“He will be a healthy young boy,” she said as the parents eyes grew large. The man grabbed onto his wife’s shoulder and squeezed it gently. They were both happy to know that they would be having a boy.
The miko looked over to Anubis and waited for him to speak. When he did not she became suspicious. Before she could voice her concerns, the man with the daughter spoke up. “He, miko-sama, is from Egypt.” The woman looked at Anubis with wide eyes. She was shocked; he was very far from home. He looked Asian so she wondered what he was doing there and why he would not speak to her.
Anubis finally figured out what to say and spoke, “Forgive me priestess, I do not know many words in your language yet.” The miko smiled at him and shook her head.
“It is fine, I was just curious to know why you chose to come to Japan.” Anubis frowned before what she said sunk in. He looked at her and smiled.
“There is someone here that is waiting for me.” The miko’s smile grew considerably. She knew what he meant and hoped who ever the woman was, would be happy. She looked up to the sky as rain droplets began to fall. One landed on her face before falling the rest of the way to the ground. She looked at the new comers and waved for them to follower her. They all did, except Anubis. He stayed where he stood and watch the retreating forms of his shipmates. He waited for them to enter into a hut before turning away and heading for the forest. He knew his soulmate was on the island and it was time for him to find her.

What happens when you release your mind of all thought, all ability to think, and knowledge of anything around you? What happens when your brain no longer functions rationally but what is happening around you is rational? When your brain completely turns around is when you enter the land right before dreams. In this one moment your mind is clear of everything. The only thing that transpires here is your past, present, and future. In this moment your mind looks at your destiny and contemplates. There is no thinking, no ability to even know, and no knowledge of any sort. In that exact moment you are looking through a mirror that reflects back on you. You are seeing yourself.
Every moment that you messed up, replays, every path you should take, is shown, and what your body is doing is what you bare witness to. You never remember this part of your dreams because your soul doesn’t want you to. But have you ever woken up to a feeling like you know something is going to happen. Or that your mind keeps replaying a certain event that happened in your life and for some reason you know that was the wrong thing; that you were supposed to have done something different.
When you feel this is when you where awoken directly from that land of sleep. In that moment your conscious mind collected that information. It wasn’t supposed to happen but it did and right then you caught a snip it of what the mirror was reflecting to you. Déjà vu or vision is what they call it when you know something is going to happen or you have a feeling you have seen it before/done it before. Or ‘your conscious’ is when an event keeps replying and every time you remember it you feel horrible.
Kagome awoke to this feeling. In that moment she could remember seeing a man that was all black. His hair was down to his middle back. It was tied back at the nape of the neck and it flew widely in the wind. He had gorgeous golden eyes that reflected his surroundings. He was tall and muscular. He had doggy ears like Inuyasha’s but they where much bigger and bobbed; they where pointed and not as soft. He was handsome, much more so then Sesshoumaru, and he was powerful. She had no clue who this man was but for some reason she felt love towards him, true love.
She remembered feeling horrible about what she did but happy and content with who she was with. She could feel the love that came off of the man in waves. She could vaguely see her hands caressing taunt muscles with her finger tips. Her feathery soft touches sending shivers through the man who lay above her. His hot breath on her neck as he licked the tender flesh she provided for him. From there he moved to her hardened nipples as he played with them sucking them into his mouth and softly biting down sending shivers throughout her body. She could remember the moment he entered into her small frame. He was large, bigger then usual as his membrane stretched her to her fullest. She gasped and screamed his name. They moved in unison until he took over and she could no longer keep up. They climaxed before he set a mark upon her body. In the middle of her chest she held the sign of there love the mark she would carry her whole life.
Kagome woke with a start. Her mind was telling her something was not right. Willing her self to stay awake she looked around the clearing. She was frantic as she tried to find the reason for her distress. What she saw was trees and more trees. In one of those trees sat one of her companions. The half demon was facing away from them while he watched and protected his pack mates. He had one foot draped over the branch while the other sat upon it. His knee was tucked up into his chest while his arms rapped around it. His head leaned against the rough bark. He was only resting his eyes.
She looked away from him and to the others. Miroku sat against a tree. His eyes where firmly closed. His head drooped down so that his chin was touching against his chest. His legs were crossed while his staff lay a crossed them. His hands rested lazily upon the staff. Sango lay on her side next to him. She was in the fetal position as she tucked Kirara into her side. Her hand lay on Miroku’s knee willing him not to leave her side.
Kagome still could not find whatever had awoken her. She was restless and wished to find what was making her so uneasy. What ever it was was eluding her. Her head swung back and forth while she searched. She went to move from her spot when she noticed what had awoken her. Shippo laid by her side as he tossed and turned. In his mind a nightmare replied over and over. To her surprised he did not wake. She quickly moved to wake the kit from his dreams when she was stopped. A voice rang out in the night as it called upon her.
“Don’t wake him.” The voice said. It wasn’t a cold voice nor was it malicious. Her mind wondered as it tried to find the answer but found it futile. Who ever it was, she did not know them.
“Who are you?” she questioned openly to the darkness. She was searching the woods around her. Waiting for the presence to show it’s self.
“I…Am your destiny, but until that day that we truly meet you need not know me.” The voice said. It was wise most definitely old. It cracked as it stated its statement.
“Who are you? Why won’t you let me wake my son from his nightmares?” Kagome asked. She feared for Shippo’s life. His tossing and turning had turned into convulsions. His breathing was becoming hitch and he was sweating. When she put a hand to his forehead he was burning up. She wanted to help but she feared she could hurt him. The voice wasn’t evil nor did it sound like it was stupid. She wanted to listen to it but Shippo was hurting and she couldn’t let it go on for much longer.
The person sighed from within the forest. It stepped forward into Kagome’s line of sight. “As I said before you do not need to know me…yet. But I tell you not to wake him because he is not in a nightmare. If you must know I, just like him, am a kitsune, he is more or less in a vitz.” The man said. His face was covered as well as his body. He wore a cloak that covered everything from her line of sight. It looked to be black in color but you would not be able to know since there was no light to tell it with. He was tall and very muscular with broad shoulders. She wondered who this man was and hoped he wasn’t here to kill them.
Kagome looked puzzled while she stared at the figure. “What is a vitz?” She questioned openly. Then a thought came to her mind. Why was it that the others did not wake? For surely Inuyasha could hear the two of them talking. They were not being subtle, so why was it, he did not come and see what was going on and ask why a stranger was so close? Her questioning led her to act as she quickly asked, “Why is it that Inuyasha does not wake?” She said it to no one in particular and she didn’t think anyone would answer, but in fact she received a reply.
“To your first question, a vitz is a phase that all fox go through. In fact it is the first of seven phases he will be going through. And to answer your second question, on why the others do not wake, is because I do not wish them to.” The man said. His face was still hidden while he stood tall and faced her. He never once took his sight from hers.
“You can’t do that!” Kagome exclaimed, “They’re not just some puppets you can mess around with. Release them NOW!!!”
The man sighed once more but did not do what she asked. He walked over to her side and crouched down so that he was eye level to her. He stared into her dark brown eyes, his gaze never faltering. “I can not do that.” He stated without question. “This meeting here will not go past you and me.”
His gaze was impenetrable. She couldn’t look away from his eyes as they flickered with emotion. His eyes where the lightest color of grey she had ever seen. They where beautiful as they swirled with the mischief he possessed. She heard his words and did not question them. Something was telling her not to. She nodded to affirm what he said then asked, “Why is it you are here then?”
He crossed his legs underneath himself then sat in front of her, never once taking his gaze off hers. “I am here to help you and your kit. I could feel his distress from a mile away. It is all kitsunes job, even if they aren’t our children, to help those younger then we are. I wish to help your kit, if I may. But you must be apart of it since he has chosen you as his mother.”
Kagome became distressed at his words. Shippo was distressed? Why? And how come he did not wake and tell her? She moved to pick him up when clawed hands stopped her. He did not hurt her in the least. He merely placed his hands upon hers and brought them back so that they rested in his. Kagome moved once again so she could get to her kit but he still kept her hands in his. She struggled to get to her kit but he held firm making sure she did not touch him. She glared at the figure. “Let me go!” she yelled, “Let me get to him, I must help him.” Tears formed in her eyes while she struggled to get loose.
He frowned at her childish antics and voiced his annoyance, “Enough! You will cease what you are doing now. You are not helping your kit by becoming frantic. If you wish to help him you must remain calm and allow me to teach you what you need to know to help your kit.” His voice was firm and it cracked periodically. He wasn’t at all hostile toward her and she was grateful, if he would have been she would have been even more frantic to get away from him and grab her son. She calmed as she looked up to him. She was ashamed so she lowered her gaze to the ground below. The disgrace was too much.
“Please teach me,” she said with conviction. Then looking up into his eyes she said, “I want to help my son,” one lone tear fell from her eyes. Her conviction was truly genuine.
He nodded to her and smiled before releasing her hands. She did not move to grab her son which he was grateful for. If she would have he would not have helped her and merely done it himself. She would not have been a worthy mother if she was not willing to gain advice on things she did not know about. The first thing kits where taught, to take advice even if what you were given you knew was wrong. It was considered rude to not listen and switch to another subject in the fox society. He was happy that she at least knew this. He would enjoy when they would meet for real. The time he would spend with her would be one of talking and giving of knowledge.
“You must listen closely.” He said hastily, “Your son does not have much time. He weakens with every minute that passes and soon if you do not do something he will die.”
Kagome’s eyes widen before she looked over to her son. She hoped he would hurry so she could help him. She nodded her head while she turned back towards him. If it would help her son she would listen and be as patient as possible.
“Good I am glad you are willing to listen. Now, do you know how to channel your energies? I know you are a miko, so I know you have power. By what I can tell you are a very powerful miko in your own right.”
She frowned at him before answering, “I have not trained my miko abilities,” she turned away from him even more ashamed, “so I don’t know how to channel my energies. Would you teach me?”
He sighed. He could teach her but it would took time. He never saw this coming, he thought she was trained. He stilled kept eye contact with her the whole time, never once looking away. “I can teach you but it takes time. Your kit does not have that much time. Now that I know this, with your permission, may I touch your son?”
She shook her head yes before backing away. She didn’t get too far before he stopped her, “You must stay by his side,” he said, “As his mother he will reach out to you. If you are not there he will not accept my advances to help him and he will die. If you are there he will know I am not hostile and allow me to help.” She quickly came back and sat close to Shippo. She eyed the man with the cloak as he moved so that he could grab onto Shippo’s head. His eyes were closed as he concentrated. Soon a white mist incased him and Shippo. Another mist also appeared as it reached out towards Kagome. It was far different and much weaker then the other mist. It was orange and it only touched the other participant rather then incasing it. She figured that one was Shippo’s as he reached out to her to make sure she was there. Another mist appeared around Kagome. It was purple and it reached out towards the orange. Once it did the orange reseeded as it let the white enter. It took a few minute before the man removed his hands from Shippo’s head. He looked over to Kagome with a smile before stepping away. “He should be fine.” He said.
“Why was it we needed to do that?” she questioned hoping he would answer her. To her surprise he did.
“When a kit reaches a certain age the kit goes through phases. These phases do not determine his growth, which most think they do, but they determine what he will be able to do, how much power he holds. It is the mother and fathers job to give them this power. You see, in our society our young are born without much power. They are born with eternal youth but nothing else. Once they hit the age of six their parents instill some power into them. This power grants them a limited amount to work with. Fox fire is a skill that all fox obtain as well as parlor tricks. Some also gain psychic abilities and others telekinesis but it is a rarity. It is for protection and your kit gained the usual. As time goes on it becomes impervious for the parents to give their kits power. At the age of 35 is when the phases start. In these phases the kit gains its true powers. But it is the parent’s jobs to unlock them. What was happening tonight was part of that phases. He must have just hit 35. I gave him only a little power. Since I am not his true father he will only accept enough to allow him self to live. He picked you so that you could give him the power he needed. You see, our kits will only allow for a strong female to give them power. So as in this case, if their true mother was to pass they would pick another they found to be strong and soon after a father.”
Kagome listened intently, it was very interesting but she wondered about something. “What do you mean he will pick a father later?”
The man cocked his head to the side. He wondered why she asked that question but he figured it wouldn’t hurt to answer her, “When you are to choose a mate, the person you choose, must also be chosen by him. That will be his chosen father.”
Kagome nodded her agreement. She understood what he was saying and was happy that she wouldn’t have to figure out who she was going to be with on her own. She hated dating; she could never figure out who was the right one to be with. At least now she could have some help. “Tell me,” she said as another question popped into her head, “Why is it the parents have to unlock a kits power?”
The figure that sat in front of her did not answer her for awhile. He thought on her question before answering, “Along time ago our children where sought after by mikos, monks, low level demons, and humans who wished to have power. They would steal them so to have their knowledge or to gain their power. When our kits would get to a certain age their powers would spike and who ever was around at that time would gain a power boost as well. After they had gotten what they wanted they would kill the kit because the power that they had inside there body would last years. They would no longer need the kit so they would dispose of them. It finally got to the point where every four out of five parents would lose there kit. People who wanted power where after them constantly. So to protect all unborn kits our elders placed a spell on the future generations. When they were born there true powers would be locked away until the day they gained there spike. When that happened the parents would have to unlock the powers or risk losing their kit.”
Kagome’s mouth was agape. How could anyone do that to an innocent? “How could they?” she exclaimed, “What awful people. They are only children.”
“Yes you are right but there is nothing we can do about it now. All we could have done has been done. So there is no need to fret.” He finally broke his sight from hers as he looked to the sky. The sun would be up soon and he would need to be get back to his home. He looked back to her with sad eyes, “I must be leaving you now. I will be back though to teach you how to channel your energies so you can help your kit. Every five days expect me to be near you. At nights I will show my self and we will work on your abilities. Your kit should not have another power spike for awhile. If he does I will be here to help within minutes.” He rose from his spot and began to walk away, never once looking back.
Kagome watched him but before he could get out of her sight she yelled, “Wait, What is your name? I didn’t get your name.”
The figure stopped in its tracks then looked back at Kagome, “Didn’t I say you did not need to know me yet.”
“Yes you did; but what would a name give me then something to call you. I won’t come looking for you, I promise.” She said with a smile across her face. She hoped he would give in to her so she would know what to call him. It is awfully rude to call someone stranger. She didn’t want to be mean. “And besides I would like to thank you properly.”
He looked at her then said, “Chishou.”
She nodded and smiled, “Thank you Chisou, for everything.”
He turned away from her a smile on his face. Then he was gone. Like the mist in mid morning he disappeared only to come back when able to. He would be back she knew that and she would wait for him. If he was willing to help her with Shippo then she would wait. At the moment she felt the others stir from their unconsciousness. She felt Shippo move and resumed with her motherly duties.

Anubis hit the edge of the forest. He looked back on the village with a smile. He hoped that they would be okay and he hoped they weren’t wondering where he was. He needed to go. He needed to find his soulmate.
Once he was far enough inside the forest he dropped his disguise. There would be no use for it until he came upon humans. In the forest he could hid himself so there was no reason to fret about cover.
His image dissolved as his body grew in height. He had charcoaled colored skin that was lined with golden strips that swirled around his body in intricate designs. His hair was to the middle of his back but it was pulled back at the nape of his neck by a leather tie. His face was considerably different. Unlike a demon that looked human, Anubis was a far cry. He had a muzzle what was long and pointed. He was a jackal so it fit. He had large ears that where bobbed and very sharp looking in comparison to dogs curved ones. They were tall and swiveled atop his head, all the while searching for things near by. His hearing was acute. He could pick up a bug that was moving in the forest a mile away and pinpoint its location. His eyes where gorgeous as their color was distinctly unique to who he was. They were a sharp golden color but they were also lined with silver. His whole body was a master piece has he walked through the forest.
His clothing was also different. Since he was not Japanese he did not ware a kimono. His clothing was much less since his culture believed in showing off the body, not hiding it. He wore only three things: a white cloth that tied around his hips and fell to his ankles, a golden garment that was separated into three pieces, and a jeweled sash that held his satchels and sword. He had a chiseled chest that could make any woman/girl sewn at the sight of him. He was absolutely gorgeous a true masterpiece in the eyes of man.
Anubis’ mind wondered to the earlier weeks, how rough they had been but they where an experience he was grateful for. He learned a lot about the country called Japan. He knew a little of the language and felt confident enough to speak in it. He would have to work on it and he hoped is mate would help him later on. He also learned a little bit about the culture. He knew there were lords that would need to know he was there as well as demons who would try to confront him. He found it strange that there where a lot more demon upon the small island then there where on the larger continents. It was most likely that they hid themselves but who really knew.
He recalled the amount of time it took him to make his way into China. It was a long period of time that was full of solitude. He knew of spells that could allow him to change into human forms so he could be around people but he found he wished to observe the people from a distance. It fascinated him on how much they had been doing over the years. The last he remembered, there where only a handful of dominate countries. Now that he was traveling he could see that there where much more. This made him happy but sad in a way. One day he would be no more to then a myth to them, a fun fairytale to tell the children.
The weeks were really a bore. There was nothing much he wished to do once he entered into a country. It was all the same. All he wished to do and all his beast and soul wished to do was find what was pulling on them. They wanted to find there mate and nothing else interested them. Anubis followed the caress on his heart and found himself at a vast sea. He could merely fly across and be there within moments put he wished to take his time. He still had four moon cycles to be with his beloved.
When he found a suitable ferry that would usher him to the island he boarded it. It would take five days to get there; it was fast but not overly so, a good enough pace that he could enjoy his surroundings. He would get to her in time.
Once he was aboard the ship he used a spell so that he looked human. He allowed himself to talk with the people on the ship and found that they where merely peasants, some merchants, and only a few upper class members. He mingled with all of them and was surprised to know that the boat was also heading to other places besides the island. He found that there where others who where heading there and decided to watch them. They seemed to be of the lower class but very respectful. He watched what they did so he could learn a few more things about there culture. They bowed to people excessively. They used them for different things though. Either to thank someone, greet them, or just for gratitude. He found the culture interesting and was happy to know that his soulmate would be one of them.
On the third day of his travels upon the boat one of the persons he was watching approached him. They bowed and smiled and greeted him accordingly. He didn’t understand them and only cocked his head to the side. He knew some of there language but only enough to tell someone he did not speak there language. He told the person this and they only laughed at him. They walked away only to come back with all the others he had been observing. They where very polite and helped him learn a little more about their culture. They always asked why he was heading to Japan but he only surged it off. They did as well and continued on teaching him about their heritage.
He knew every single one of their names by the end of the trip. He found his self severely protective over them and only wished them to be well. Before they all exited the ship he had put protective barriers around each one of them. He did not want them hurt and hoped that they would not run into any trouble on their ways home. He could only hope they would be okay.
He made his way through the forest with easy. He wondered who the lord of these lands were and silently hoped he would not have to confront them. He would not kill someone unless it was absolutely necessary. It was not his place to take some ones life, it was the fates decision and he respected that.
His pace never faltered as he made his way through the thick underbrush. His senses picked up someone coming his way as he stopped and readied for the confrontation. He would be ready to meet this intruder head on.
(O)
Sesshoumaru watched the man. He had moved from his spot on the cliff to a cave nearby. He was high enough of the ground he could see the village so he knew every move the new comer made. He watched as he stood there and waited for the others to enter the hut before moving to the forest. He would confront this intruder and ask why he set foot on his lands. If he did not answer he would kill him and if he did he would still kill him. No one could be stronger then he was.
When he saw his opportunity he made his way through the forest. He was only a blur as he sprinted to get to his destination.
When he saw what he was looking for he smirked. He slowed his pace and wiped any emotions that he had off his face. Emotions were a weakness and he would not be weak. He entered into the clearing where the intruder awaited him.
Anubis watched as a man made his way over to him. He was tall and also very handsome. He had marking on his face. White hair flew in the wind behind him as it was loose symbolizing that he was never to be tamed. He had only one arm more then likely he lost the other in a battle. He wore armor and had two swords at his side. They pulsed with power and it made Anubis ponder on the power of the being in front of him. He was most definitely not a human, so he could only be a demon. Anubis was ready but never did he set a fighting stance, he did not want a conflict.
Sesshoumaru eyed the man in front of him. He narrowed his eyes at him before stating, “Why do you set foot upon my lands?”
Anubis looked at Sesshoumaru. His eyes widened when he figured out that the person who stood in front of him was indeed the lord of the lands. ‘That was fast,’ he thought. “I am here looking for someone.” Anubis said.
“Hm.” Was the only reply he received? The man was most definitely a noble as he thought himself indifferent to everyone else. How much he needed to learn. “I do not care that you seek someone. You will not step foot here. Now leave!” Sesshoumaru said his power spiked telling the person he meant what he said.
Anubis found the lord to be amusing. He was most definitely powerful but he barely held anything compared to himself. He wondered what he would do if he said no. “I am sorry, but I must decline your offer. I must find this person and I won’t stop till I find them.”
Sesshoumaru was angered but showed no sign. His face was ever as emotionless as always. “Hm” was what he said. He would teach this fool. He would not allow him to walk on his lands, never. “Your arrogance will cost you your life.” He stated before lunging towards his prey.
Anubis stood still in his spot. The man was fast he had to give him created for that. He moved in time before he could be hit with a wipe. Anubis was truly amused, the man could use a poison whip, he was very powerful indeed.
Sesshoumaru stopped before he could get to close then lashed out with his whip. He only uses one at first then he would move up to as many as five. The man would die before he could see the person he was after he would make sure of it. He rushed forward catching Anubis off guard. He lashed out with his whip once more only to meet air.
Anubis sat crouch in a tree above he wondered if the lord would know where to look. He was found immediately as the man turned and icy glare on him. He smirked then dropped to the ground. The man was smart too. He was truly enjoying this.
Sesshoumaru was miffed. How dare the man think he can play around with him? He drew tokijin from his sash and readied for Anubis to make the first move.
One of Anubis’ eyebrows lifted into his hair line. He drew his satchels from his sash and barred his fangs at the dog in front of him. If he wanted a challenge then he would give him one. They both stood there and did nothing for the longest time until there was only a blur. Anubis moved first as he lunged forward. He slashed forward, down, back, and to the side. Each time he met air as Sesshoumaru side stepped each one.
This man was incredible fast, he never expected this. He was having a hard time just trying to dodge. He brought forth tokijin and swung at the man with an innate sort of grace. He almost made connection with skin before a right punch landed on his chin sending him into the air. He righted himself, doing a flip and landing in a crouch. He looked at Anubis who stood there unharmed looking at him.
Anubis took a step toward his opponent then asked, “What is your name so I may remember who I defeated?”
Sesshoumaru narrowed his eyes and stood from his crouching position. “Why don’t you give me yours so I know who I killed?”
“How about a truce, you give me yours and I will give you mine. It’s win, win situation either way.” Anubis said and smirked.
Sesshoumaru scoffed at the man but figured it wouldn’t hurt, “I am Sesshoumaru, Lord of the Western Lands and heir to all that you see before you.”
Anubis nodded at him in amusement, “A large title for someone such as your self. I am Anubis, Egyptian God of the Dead.”
Sesshoumarus eyes widened considerably at Anubis’ statement. He was a god? He quickly righted himself creating a blank emotionless mask once more. “Your name is not worth anything to me. You will die by my hands today!” Sesshoumaru lunged forward once more only to be caught by the throat.
Anubis heard Sesshoumaru’s words and was angered. To not use the name of your opponent and tell them it was not worth your time, was like saying the battle you were fighting was worthless. This man thought Anubis to be worthless nothing but a fly in his way. Something he could just dismiss. That would not do he would not allow that. As quickly as Sesshoumaru moved he had moved as well. He caught his neck without him even knowing. This mongrel would learn a thing or two today. He was not going to get away with what he said. He needed to learn his place. “That is an insult you will come to regret. I don’t take lightly to flies such as yourself, nor will I tolerate your indifference. Your mistake will cost you.” He looked to the sky and noticed that the sun was about to rise. This fool was keeping him from his mate. He hated to just leave him there but he wished to find her. He would deal with this mongrel later.
He squeezed Sesshoumaru’s necked and snarled in his face before sending him fling into a near by tree. Once he hit the rough bark and slide to the ground Anubis once again came at him. He never even saw him move before he stood only a few inches away. Anubis’ satchels were at his throat as they began to tear at his delicate flesh. He hissed as he felt the stinging pain. He glared at the man who leaned down close to his ear. “You will watch what you say dog. Your words will cost you your life one day. Just be thankful that I am decent enough to let you live.” He moved away and turned from his opponent.
Sesshoumaru moved to stand up when Anubis punch him in the head with one of the handles from his satchel, rendering him unconscious. He never saw it coming before he fell into darkness.
Anubis growled at the man that lay against the tree. ‘Arrogant fool,’ he thought before turning his back on him. He vanished into the trees running through the forest so to release his tension. If he didn’t do something he was going to go back and kill that arrogant bastard.
He was quick, barely a blur as he passed everything and anything. His temper brought him to a road which he ran down as he growled out menacingly. He notice that he was passing humans and they where running in fear. He placed a spell on himself then kept on his path. He ran for half a day still not satisfied with himself. He didn't want to go back but he was angered beyond belief.
He wasn’t paying attention when he hit into something and fell backwards. He landed hard on the ground, his head hitting it with such a force his vision was lost as well as his breath. He fought to regain both. He shook his head and tried to clear his eye sight of the blurriness. He saw the figures of five people. Four where hunched over one that was also on the ground rubbing the top of its head. He wondered who he had run into and found himself insanely calm. Who ever the person was had a very relaxing scent. His eye sight started to clear and he noticed he had hit into a woman. He was truely sorry and wished to apologize.
He watch as the girl was helped up by some one dressed in red. He felt possesive over the woman and growled his annoyance. Even though it sounded more like a throaty moan since he was under the spell. The person looked at him but he still could not see perfectly. So there was no way of telling if the person was scowling at him. He watched as others walked up to the girl and placed comforting hands on her shoulder. They looked at him and he knew that they where frowning. Something about their stances just lead him to that conclusion.
Once his vision had cleared fully he saw two other figures next to the woman. One looked to be only a kitten and the other a child. They were both close to her as they tried to provide some comfort. The child seemed to be calling her mother and he wondered if she truely was. He watched as she patted her butt of the dirt that had collected on it. She wore a green skirt that showed all of her legs and a white shirt that was very revealing as well. She had long black hair that went to the end of her shoulder blades. She had dark brown eyes that sparkled with knowledge that no one else could possible know. He was enthralled by her as he watched her from where he sat.
The man in red did not seem to take well to him as he glowered and sent dirty looks his way. He moved to the womans side and was saying soming in her ear. She frowned at the man then turned and eye on Anubis. She looked at him for a second while her eyes softened considerable.
Anubis heard a tid bit of what the male was say and found himself angered. The man had no clue about what he was talking about. It was only and accident.
The woman didn't seem to pleased with the way the man in red was talking and she did something to him that made him face plant into the ground. He thought he had heard the word 'SIT!'
She walked over to him with a calm and serine atmosphere about her. She leaned down and her exspretion quickly changed to one of concern. She looked over him with out a touch then began to ask quetions, “Are you alright? Do you need help? Here let me help you.” She said. Her voice was very feminine. It was like she was sing to him as her words passed through one ear and out the other. She was the one he was looking for. His eyes grew wide in reliezation then softened when she put a small, fragile hand to his forehead. She was his soul mate. His heart beat quickened as the pull on his heart stopped and was replaced with a feeling of completion. He found her. This was who he was looking for. They were finally together.

Awwww…ya so that is how they meet. I hoped you liked it. It took forever. I should be posting every week for awhile then it will go back to every month. So I hoped you liked it.
Alright question time-
Same question form last week still stands. – If I were to have a love triangle who would you want it to be with? (has to include Kagome and Anubis, Pick a third anyone, don’t care.)
New question – Should Kagome be Average, Pretty, or Gorgeous? (You know in looks)( I want to know what peoples think so I know how to describe her in the next chaptie. For Anubis.)
Interesting stuff-
In Egypt they believed that the body was sacred, that you should never cover it up and that you should never be ashamed of the way you look. They also thought the less clothes you wore the higher up in station you were. So literally if you only wore a sheet you were up there. Um our god is only wearing a garment for around his hips. That’s it…other wise he is completely bare. Ya go ahead and drool ladies.
Next fun fact something is going to happen to miroku that – well I’ve never read it in any other story – will be devastating. Yes Sango and Miroku will have a kid.
Lets see here, if my brain would work I would give you more. Sorry, Oh wait does anyone have and idea on who chishou is? If you do good job. Imma keeping it a secret so ya.
That is all for now I hope you liked it and if you didn’t I don’t care.
Chow!

(O)(O)(O)(O)

Chow!
Disclaimer I do not own Inuyasha or company.
