Two Girls, One well

Mira slowly rolled down the tree after the retreat of Sesshoumaru, She was holding her jaw, letting out small whimpers of pain, Inuyasha and the others came running over to her, to see if she was all right. They saw her reach into her mouth grabbing one of her back teeth and with little effort pull it out. She felt her fat lip and sighed a bit, rubbing her jaw again as she spit blood to the ground.

"Are you all right?" Inuyasha asked in a sort of grumpy voice getting a glare from Mira, He decided that he didn't like her glaring at him, it was sort of scary, Like a demon was dormant inside of her, waiting to be unleashed.

"I'm fine.." She said and stared at the others, thanking Kagome for the bottle of water she had handed her. Washing her mouth out a bit with it and spitting some more.

Inuyasha decided that he didn't like the smell of her blood either. Well he didn't like the smell of anyones blood, but hers was more ....frightening to smell. And he hated it, hated the fact he was worried about someone he had only known less then 24 hours. When she stood he was almost immediately at her side helping her walk, He felt her shiver a bit and wrapped his Haroi around her arms, telling her to wear it until she was warm or found something else, Scaring himself again.

"Thank you Inuyasha..." She said with a small smile, so not to hurt her lip anymore. I'm just ganna sit down for a bit and rest ok? Then we continue what we where doing."She saw him nod and she nodded back, siting down under a tree she closed her eyes and leaned back.

About three hours had passed and Mira was still sleeping peaceful under the tree. Curled up in a little ball with her face buried in Inuyasha's haroi. When she finally woke up she was being stared at like she was some kind of freak. "What...?" She said and say them all just burst out laughing, except for Kagome who had run home, to get some extra supplies. and Inuyasha who was blushing like a virgin. "Why are you laughing at me!"

"Mira...You where sleep talking." Miroku chuckled and covered his mouth as Sango and Shippo each held back giggle fits.

".......What...did....i say?" She backed up against the tree, scared that she might of said something stupid.

"You said. ' Inuyasha....Inuyasha... Don't touch that...Its my special area..' And then you said. 'Naraku you suck giant donkey..' I'm not repeat the rest in front of Shippo." Sango burst out laughing and fell to the ground holding her gut with Shippo rolling around, with Miroku still trying to hold back his laughter.

"Ok YEAH I'm out, lets go Inuyasha." Mira blushed a deep red and limped away as quick as she could, her foot felt a bit better but not by much, she could walk on it now but it still hurt to put too much weight on it. Inuyasha followed after her, But not before telling the others to tell Kagome where they went.

When She was out of the others sight she was still blushing and even more so when Inuyasha ran up behind her and scooped her up in his arms, Bridal style again, She blushed even more so, feeling like her cheeks where on fire.

"Its easier this way, we get there faster. " Inuyasha just mumbled and kept running threw the forest, following Nani's scent. After a while Mira wasn't tense anymore, but cuddling into him again, hiding her face in his neck and breathing in his scent, witch for some reason was a lot stronger then earlier. Infact all smells colors textures and her sight where all much more vivid and...well alive.

for more then an Hour Inuyasha followed the scent before he put Mira down and told her to be very careful at what was going to happen next, because Sesshoumaru Nani and the other two where right beyond the next clearing.

She walked a bit and finally reaching the clearing,Mira stopped in her tracks as her eyes went wide "Sesshoumaru."she said in a soft tone. She then screamed in an overly Joyful voice "NANI!!" Mira ran to her sister and stood in front of her. "Nani!"

"Mira?" Nani said not recognizing her sister as an anime character.

"Ah, the violent one," Sesshoumaru said to himself as Nani stood up.

"What are you wearing?" Nani said with a smirk.

"It's Inuyasha's over shirt... thingy," Mira answered with a smile.

"Oh," She gave a perverted smile. "Getting' laid by the man himself, eh? Way to go!" She chuckled.

Standing in the distance, Inuyasha began to blush at Nani's remark.

"Oh shut up," Mira yelled as she rose her arm to slap her sister.

As she brought her hand down, with lighting speed, Sesshoumaru's arm reached out and his hand wrapped around her wrist. "I will not allow you to hit this injured lady."

"Lady? Oh come on, Lord Fluffy," Mira busted out laughing at Sesshoumaru's remark. "She's not a lady! She's nothing' but a sister!"

"Well Sesshoumaru seems to think I am a lady. Come on, Mira, I want to talk to you."

Sesshoumaru let go of Mira's wrist and her and Nani began to walk off. Nani turned around when she heard Inuyasha and Sesshoumaru following them, "Alone!" She yelled at them. "And if I come back and one of you two is dead, I'm killing the survivor!"

Sesshoumaru turned to Inuyasha as the girls walked away and said, "Perhaps it would be better if we kept our distance from each other while they are away, so we are not to upset Nani."

"Nani? To hell with her! Mira's the one I don't want to upset."

"As you wish, little brother. Now take your distance from me, brother."

"Oh you're not going to kill me?" Inuyasha's attitude kicked in.

"I will kill you, Inuyasha... But not at this meeting I'm afraid. My intentions are to keep the woman safe."

"I thought you hated humans!"

"She has a purpose, I assure you. Now take your distance, Inuyasha." Sesshoumaru turned and headed in the opposite direction.

Inuyasha grunted and sat right where he was standing.

"How did you get down the well, Mira?" Nani asked.

"I was leaning over when I noticed the bricks fell and I fell in. Apparently I have a shard of the shikon jewel in my fucking ribs. Inuyasha the little cock mite, he tried to kill me to take it. But Kagome made him sit and Miroku whacked him upside the head." She chuckled at the memory.

"Sounds like you had fun," Nani said sarcastically.

"Fun?" She giggled at another memory.

"What's so funny?"

"Miroku touched my ass and Inuyasha hugged me in his human form, bastard."

Nani chuckled, "Well Sesshoumaru saw me naked."

"You didn't!?!?!!?"

"NO!!! I went in to water to get the smell of blood off me. I dropped my blanket."

"You wanted him to see you naked!"

She blushed and giggled. "That's classified information."

"You did! You little whore!"

Both girls laughed and continued talking. They didn't return to Sesshoumaru and Inuyasha for nearly three hours.

"Sesshoumaru!" Inuyasha called from his spot in the grass. "What is so damned special about this girl you're allowing to tag along?" he snapped.

"Allow me to answer that with a question. What is so significant about the girl with the purple hair you are allowing to be around you?"

Inuyasha flipped out true anime style and fell over. When he stood back up he shouted, "That's none of your damn business so butt out!"

"There is your answer, little brother."

"Hey shut up! What do you know? You hang around a deformed toad and an ugly child all day!"

Rin and Jaken returned as soon as Inuyasha told Sesshoumaru to shut up.

"My lord," Jaken began. "Why is Inuyasha not in his grave?"

"Now is not the time to kill him, Jaken, be patient. His time will come. Nani and the violent one have their wishes. And their wishes will be carried out."

Inuyasha's next words were unalloyed to come out when suddenly he felt a sharp pain on the top of his head right before a lump formed. "Ugly child, huh?" Nani shouted after punching Inuyasha. "Rin is not ugly. She is adorable! So lay off you stupid mutt!"

"AHHH!!! Mutated Frog!" Mira shouted picking up a rock and pounding Jaken about the head and shoulders with it. "KILL IT!!! KILL IT!!!"

"Mira Stop!" Nani shouted. "That's Jaken!"

Mira stopped beating the ugly out of Jaken and looked Nani. "Ops. Well hey," she looked at Jaken then back to Nani, "I'm a good plastic surgeon, eh?"

Nani chuckled and turned back to Inuyasha. "You mutt! Got anything else to say?"

As Inuyasha and Nani threw insults back and forth Mira stood up from beating Jaken and slapped Sesshoumaru, who didn't even see it coming or flinch even, but she angered him. "I am not violent!"

"Not smart, Mira!" Nani shouted as she continued to insult Inuyasha.

"You just made a huge mistake, violent one," Sesshoumaru said grabbing Mira by the neck and slamming her against a tree.

"Told yah!" Nani shouted.

"Mira!" Inuyasha shouted beginning to run up to them.

Nani grabbed Inuyasha by the shoulders and slammed him to the grass. "She can handle this... I think... I hope..."

"Now... you die," Sesshoumaru said with anger in his tone as he squeezed on her neck letting his poison claws burn at the flesh on her neck.

She screamed in pain then said, "Well I hope you can enjoy the victory with one FRIGGIN EYE!" Saying that she brought her hand up and poked him in the eye with her slightly long nail.

Sesshoumaru slightly grunted in pain and released his hold on her neck causing her to fall to the ground. She stood up and connected her knee to his 'forbidden zone' causing him to drop to his knees and groan in pain.

Indeed, he had never been hit there before and it was an entirely new pain to him. Believe you, me, he hated it. It only angered him further and caused him to prepare to attack Mira until he saw the look Nani was giving him. It was almost as though her expression was speaking to him, "Please don't harm her, Sesshoumaru. She is all I have here."

"You leave now, Inuyasha, and take that violent thing with you," Sesshoumaru said as his eyes began to turn red in anger. Showing just the smallest of things would cause him to turn into his demon form and kill both Inuyasha and Mira without thinking of what Nani had to say about it.

Nani ran up to Sesshoumaru snagging her shirt on a tree branch, ripping it open. Paying no attention to her shirt she kneeled next to him putting a hand on his shoulder to see if he was all right. "Sesshoumaru? Are you okay?"

Her head turned around with her shoulders to her sister and Inuyasha as they began to walk away. "Bye, Nani. I'll see you later, I guess," Mira called grabbing Inuyasha's hand and pulling him away.

"I'm fine," Sesshoumaru answered, standing up.

"You sure? I mean, you just got your ass kicked by a girl... Em... Got your nuts kicked so to say." She stood up and began whipping the blood off his eye with her thumb as her palm rested on his cheek. "That eye is really messed up. Let me get you something for it. Come here."

She grabbed his hand and walked with him to her bag taking out eye drops. "I use these for when I get stoned to hide it from my dad. But it can be used for other things. Get on your knees so I can reach."

Curious about what she was going to do, Sesshoumaru obeyed and got on his knees, letting Nani's hand slip out of his. "Now tilt your head back," she said putting her hand on his forehead gently as he tilted his head back. "Open your eyes wide and look at me."

Again, he obeyed. He looked up into her eyes as she brought her head over his and opened the eye drops with one hand, the other still gently on his forehead. "This..." she stuttered as she looked into his eyes. The glance he gave her made her nervous and made her palms sweat. At last, Sesshoumaru could smell fear on her... But why?

"This might feel a little funny, okay?" She brought the little bottle over his eye and squeezed one drop into his bloodied eye.

His eye slammed shut at the shock of the drop entering his eye. He blinked a little then looked up at Nani. "Sesshoumaru?" she said as her voice trembled.

"Yes Nani?" he said in the same tone as Nani brought her head closer to his.

"I think..." Her next words stopped when both of their heads jerked to the side and they saw Rin and Jaken standing about fifteen feet away from them just watching. "I think that eye will be just fine." Her tone was back to normal as she took her hand off Sesshoumaru's forehead and put her eye drops back grabbing another cigarette. Sesshoumaru cleared his throat and stood up turning away from Nani.

"So where's food? I'm so hungry I could eat a whole demon... No offense Sesshoumaru." Nani chuckled as she lit the cigarette.

"None taken," he didn't look in her eyes like he normally would.

Rin walked up to Nani and looked up to her. "I'm sorry, my lady. We could not find any food." She paused and looked at her. "Your shirt is torn."

"Oh that's all right," she said ripping off the torn part of her shirt, revealing her sexy, toned belly and digging through her duffel bag for another shirt. She dug for a moment then pulled out a grey tank top and a black Nike hat. She slipped her torn shirt off revealing a silk bra that made Sesshoumaru turn his head again and put on the grey tank top.

She giggled. "You can look now, Sesshoumaru."

"Lady Nani, your arm is bleeding," Rin pointed out.

Nani looked at her arm and noticed she had somehow torn open a wound. "Well I'll be damned." The blood dripped down over her elbow, fore arm and over her hand and fingers, dripping to the ground, staining the grass with her warm blood. She set her cigarette down on a rock and reached into her duffel bag and searched for something to get the blood off so it didn't stain her clothes.

Pulling out a wash cloth she meant to use with her body soap she walked to the waterfall and dipped it in, ringed it out and whipped blood off. When the rag was full of blood she rinsed it. She had to rinse it several times on account of all the blood.

"I am going to die from blood loss," she joked finishing up and putting the wash cloth back in her bag.

She picked her cigarette back up and resumed smoking it. When she finished it, Sesshoumaru walked up to Nani, Rin and Jaken and said, "The sun has faded. We should all get some rest for tomorrow."

"What happens tomorrow?" Nani asked.

"I have something I need to take care of."

"What is it?" Her curiosity boomed.

"I must see if I can find a demon known as Kashinki, I have business with him."

"What business? Sorry if I am being too nosey."

"Not at all, Nani. This demon stole three jewel shards from me and I intend to get them back."

"You mean you'll kill him."

"In a word... I would like you to watch over Rin when Jaken and I go seeking him. I will take you to a safe place before I depart from you."

"How long will you be?"

"As long as it takes. Now get some rest. I will be waking you at dawn."

Nani smiled and went to get her blanket. She brought it back and covered herself after taking off her boots and hat. Using her duffel bag as a pillow she laid down and closed her eyes.

In the middle of the night she was woken by the light splashing of water near her. She sat up and saw Sesshoumaru in the water up to his waist. He had no clothes on but she didn't mind and his hair covered his missing left arm. She wondered if he'd gotten any sleep at all since it had only been a few hours she had been asleep.

She nervously stood up and let her bare feet slowly hit the soft grass as she walked to the edge of the water. She spoke in a whisper making Sesshoumaru jerk around to see her standing there staring at with a smile on her face. "Do you normally bathe in the middle of the night when everyone is sleeping?"

"Yes I do," he said backing up into deeper water hiding his missing arm from her.

"Backing up wont do any good, I know how you lost that arm."

Changing the subject he said, "I did not mean to wake you. I apologize."

"I'm an insomniac anyway, I barely sleep, so don't worry about it. I guess tonight is just my luck. I finally have someone to talk to instead of my cat."

Sesshoumaru smiled and went under the water to wet his hair. When he came up from under the water he was face to face with Nani. She had thought quick, taken off her clothes and gotten in the water up to her shoulders.

"Do you normally bathe with strange men you just barely met?" Sesshoumaru asked, finally looking into her eyes again.

"No, but you aren't a man... You're a demon. So I guess you're different."

"Right." His eyes glanced over her shoulders and face at her wounds. "Do they hurt?" he asked putting a hand on her should right by a wound and lightly pressing his thumb on one.

She shook her head, "No. Not at all."

"And the ones on your face?" His hand moved up her neck to her cheek where she had more cuts.

She nervously shook her head. "No."

Trying to break the unbearable tension between them she went under water to wet her hair. Not even knowing she had moved forward when she came up she was even closer to him than before.

"Um... Uh.." Her breathing trembled as beads of water trickled down her smooth flesh and shimmered in the moon light.

An urge came over him and his hand came down and placed itself on her shoulder. Trying to overcome her fear of taking action she slowly moved closer to him, pressing her chest against his and bringing her eyes to his.

"Sesshoumaru."

"Yes?"

"I'm going to kiss you," she said as her lips trembled with the desire to touch his. She moved them closer to his and connected them for a few short moments until he took his head away from hers.

"I will not do this to you."

"Huh?"

"I will not dishonor you in that way. I apologize, Nani." He turned his head to the woods as though he heard something, walked out of the water then put his clothes on and walked away from Nani and the others.

"No, wait," she softly said as she got out of the water and dug in her bag for a robe.

She slipped the robe on and ran up to Sesshoumaru, "I don't.. I mean... I didn't..."

"Let us just forget about it," he said with water dripping from his long silver hair.

"Okay, I'll change the subject. Where are you going?"

"I heard something from these woods."

"So I wasn't the reason you left?"

"No." In a flash he stopped in his tracks and put an arm on Nani's chest to keep her from moving forward.

"What is it?"

"Kashinki is nearby," he answered as he took his arm off her chest. He spoke to her as he listened in the distance for something Nani would never be able to hear.

"Are we in danger?"

He listened for another moment then said, "No. He is waiting."

"For what?"

"For me."

"He knows you are after him because of the jewel fragments he took from you."

"Exactly."

"Why is he not coming after you?"

"He is not strong enough to battle me now. By morning he will be strong enough to."

"Is there anything I can do to help?"

"Stay out of the way when he comes."

"I'm no good at that," she teased. "You'll have to tie me to a tree." She chuckled as she and Sesshoumaru turned and began walking back to the others.

"You're an amusing mortal."

She let out a short laugh. "Thanks."

"Tonight I will watch over and guard you and the others in case he comes. Tomorrow at dawn I will take you three away and go deal with him alone."

"What if I followed you?" she half serious, half joking.

"I wouldn't allow it."

"I don't let people tell me what to do. I'm not anyone's bitch. So telling me to stay will only encourage me to follow you."

"I would be too far for you to find me before you even realize I am gone."

"Are you so sure of everything?"

"Yes."

"You must think highly of your abilities. But I don't blame you. I mean, you are Kanzen Youkai. That is your purpose, to be a perfect demon."

"You're a smart one."

"Thanks. But you can't stop me from following you if I want."

"It is too dangerous. Now get some rest."

"Huh?" Nani turned and saw she was back by the waterfall, standing on her blanket. She hadn't even noticed they had already gotten back so fast. "I guess time fly's when you're..." she began to think to herself. "When you're... Well I guess I can't say I was having fun."

She laid down after putting her clothes back on and watched Sesshoumaru watch over her and the other two. She began to think again. "Did he only pull away because he heard Kashinki? Or was it because he really didn't want to dishonor me? Maybe he despises humans so much he refuses to let one attempt to..."

"Nani, rest. You'll need it," Sesshoumaru said noticing her stare at him.

She didn't answer just rolled over. "Maybe if I stop starring at him I can get some rest." She closed her eyes and slowly fell asleep.

"Time to wake up, Lady Nani," Nani heard as the sun rise began to flow over her.

She grunted thinking it was her seven year old niece sent to her room to wake her up. "I don't manna go to school today, Dorothy. Tell dad I said the bus can piss..." She opened her eyes and stopped talking when she realized she was sleeping on grass and the voice didn't belong to her niece. "Oh, Rin. I'm sorry. I thought for a second that..."

"I understand," she sweetly interrupted. "I do it all the time." She gave a sweet smile.

She smiled at Rin and looked over and noticed Sesshoumaru hadn't moved an inch from the spot he was in when she turned away from him. "Do you ever sleep?"

"When I need it," he answered.

"Well he doesn't look like he needs sleep," Nani thought to herself, shrugging her shoulders.

She dug into her bag taking out a cigarette and her brush. She lit the cigarette as she began to run the brush through her hair. "We should go soon, right?"

"As soon as you are ready, my lady. We are waiting for you," Rin said eyeing Nani's cigarette, curious about it was.

"Oh, well just let me slip my shoes on and we can go, okay?"

They walked for a while until they reached a small patch of the softest grass Nani had ever felt and stopped. Nani set down her duffel bag with all her things in it and leaned against a tree with her hands in the grass. She let the soft blades tickle at her palms as the sun still rose. A light breeze hit and lightly blew Nani's hair, making it brightly shine in different frames in the breaking light of the sunrise.

"Nani," Sesshoumaru said standing above her.

"Yes?" she said tilting her head up from the grass under her fingers and looking up to Sesshoumaru.

"I ask you to stay here with Rin and Jaken."

"So you aren't forcing me to stay?" she asked still fingering the soft blades of grass.

"No. I am not forcing you to do anything. But I guarantee staying here would ensure you and Rin's safety."

"All right. I'll stay. Will you be all right?"

"Stupid question," Jaken butted in.

"I shall return as soon as I can for you," Sesshoumaru said to them as he walked away.

"Does he always just leave like that?" Nani asked watching Sesshoumaru walk away with his long silver hair and large fluffy thing blowing lightly in the wind.

Rin nodded and gave a cute 'Mmm Hmm' sound.

"No, it's, Patty cake, patty cake, bakers man," Nani said as she taught Rin how to play Patty Cake and both continuously giggled.

Jaken sat under a near by tree with his arms crossed starring at the two girls constantly singing that little rhyme and slapping their hands together... and giggling... That giggling was driving him nuts. "If I hear one more giggle out of them I swear I will..."

"Nani," Sesshoumaru said walking back and interpreting Jaken's thoughts.

"Oh Lord Sesshoumaru," Jaken yelled running up to Sesshoumaru and wrapping his arms around a leg. "Thank heavens you've returned. They're trying to kill me! They have this rhyme. It's eating at my very soul, make it stop."

Nani and Rin giggled again and Jaken fell over covering his ears with his three-fingered hands. "Please make it stop!!!"

"Kill Kashinki already, Sesshoumaru?" Nani asked.

"No, I haven't reached him yet."

"But you were gone for an hour," Nani complained.

"Nani, come with me," Sesshoumaru said turning to leave

"I'll be back, Rin," Nani said reaching into her duffel bag for her cigarettes and pulling out more then she reached in for. "My niece has to stop sticking her toys in my bag. Here, Rin, play with this until I come back." She handed her a Rubik Cube and left with Sesshoumaru.

"Where are we going?" she finally asked.

"I smell your sister's blood nearby. I figured you would be worried."
