Blind dealings

** I had writers block :/ but i'm finally seeing more clearing where I want to take the story so expect more chapters soon. :)**

“Kill her?!?…” Sango paused as her father glanced at her sharply, a silent order to remember herself.

“….forgive me Lady Kaede” she said bowing her head in a fast apology .

“We of the Demon Slayer Village have been brought up ONLYto fight with demons and other such harmful beings. Surely a lone girl would not request services from such as us? Wouldn’t the carrier of the Shikon no Tama have the power to destroy Naraku, again ?”

Abruptly Kaede’s deamoner changed and Sango could feel Kaede’s anger begin sent to her in waves. Kaede raised up her hand swiftly.. Really much to swiftly considering how old she looked.

“Look and see for yourself! Have you seen any like it?!”

Sango had momentary closed her eyes she was sure the women had been about to smack her in the face. Under the Laws of Negotiation Sango knew her father would be unable and unwilling to interfere. In her head she hear her Father’s constant wise words, ‘If we wished to be protected and fight by the laws we must be at their mercy also.’ Those laws between their united villages ( which Kaede unfortunately belonged to) clearly dedicated that you could not use any physical force within negotaitions. So strict were these regulations that only trusted friends ever touched when speaking in negotiations. Headmen were given the privilege of shouting and allowed to engage in heated discussion but strongly discouraged.

‘Anyone who so dares use forcible force in an engaged meetings between two or more representatives of different villages/territories are hereby banned from allegience to the United Federation of Peace Party and it’s affiliates. Such claims will be viewed by the higher village shamans if then deciphered that any force was acted upon any persons then the amount of force will be determine by the aforesaid forced. Such an act clearly signify the break down of peace and a declaration of war.’

Sango opened her eyes which widened once they focused on Kaede’s outstretched hand. The stumpy mess of ligaments, bent bones and torn muscles that should have been her hand anyway. It looked as if her hand had been blown apart from the inside and clumsily pasted back together, somehow. How was it possible that she had missed that?

“This is what happens when you mess with the power of the Shikon no Tama. Don’t fool yourself! That girl has absolutely no formal training as a miko whatsoever! There is no way she could ever hope to protect the jewel!”

“Lady Kaede may I inquire as to how exactly your hand became disabilied by the jewel.?” Kenshin calmly interrupted.

Turning her dark glare away from Sango she seemed to regain her earlier demeanor slightly.

“As a said Lord Kenshin, I have seen the carrier of the jewel with my very own eyes before. She was merely a babe then. I had wished to obtain her from her parents when she still had time to learn to master the power. I hoped the jewel would remain dormant until she could control it. Unfortunately as you can see by my hand the jewel is working quite well.”

(The jewel was now active!) Sango’s glazed inadvertently traveled to Kaede side where her hand was now hiding behind the drapping of her miko garbs sleeve. (such power from just a child… that she would be able to destroy the hand of someone as powerful as her… but still…do we really need to kill the girl? Afterall it’s not her fault that she was born with it.)

“Lady Kaede is there no other way?…surely we could gather all the mikos perhaps…and and..” She really didn’t know why she was trying so hard to save this one girl. Why didn’t she just take the advise of this powerful miko? But her gut was unsettled by this decision…. something felt off. A demon slayer must rely on their instincts, after all.

“Lord Kenshin perhaps it would be more appropriate if we could continue this talk in private? I fear our talk is much too grave and serious to warrant such a innocent guests.”

(That Bitch.)

Lord Kenshin’s eyebrows rose. This did seem quite serious indeed, while he would like to have Sango by his side learning the ways of their trade and yes also asking Lady Kaede the question he would have asked anyways.. It seemed the pleasantries were done. These dealings were about to get real messy.

“… yes, I see. Sango perhaps you could do me the honor of checking in on Lady Kaede’s accompany.”

“Yes Father, it would be my pleasure. If you‘ll excuse me Lady Kaede.” She announced bowing her head once more in Kaede’s direction. She left curtly opening the door before Kaede could even mummer an answer.

Sighing, her Father looked back to Lady Kaede. Sango as blessed as she was could not hide her temper for the world.

“Forgive my dear Sango, Lady Kaede. She is still so young and foolish.”

“No need to apologize, Lord Kenshin… after all I would expect no less from your village’s greatest slayer..” She whispered dangerously with a glint flickering in her eyes so briefly he was left in doubt as to whether he had just imagined it. Somehow whatever decussion they were embarking upon promised to not be of his liking.

** Sango the best Slayer?? Of course!:) Kagome should enter into the story in either the following chapter or the next one after that. And Thank you for the 2 reviews! I'll write more later promise!**
