"Mama!"
...
Nothing.
"Mama Kagome!"
Still no response.
The cries that came from the young kit echoed throughout the forest, indicating it was depressed. This alerted Sango, Kilala, and Miroku, who weren't far from Shippo.
"Still no reply, Shippo?" Sango frowned, hoping that Kagome was safe. To Sango, Kagome was like her little sister. She cared for her and would do anything for her. Of course, she listened to everyone in the group - Except for Inuyasha. The only time she agreed with Inuyasha was when Kagome said it was alright to. Although, Kagome was only second in Sango's close loved ones list. The first was Kohaku, being her brother of course. Then Kagome. Then Miroku. Shippo was varied though.
Shippo sniffed the air, hoping that he could sense his mom near. All he could sense out was the faint scent of Inuyasha. He stopped, now frowning with an angered expression plastered onto his face. Shippo pranced about, leaping into the air to land onto Sango's shoulder. He clung to her, trying his best to hide behind the locks of her dark hair.
Inuyasha came bustling through the bushes, excess twigs and leaves adorned into his silver hair. As he plucked them out, he could feel Shippo's gaze.. Glare.. fixed onto him. Sango noticed this and quirked a brow towards Inuyasha. Miroku just stood, observing what was happening. Shippo shifted in his spot, feeling a bit uncomfortable around the half-breed now.
"Hey. What's going on?" Inuyasha spoke. He hated the silence when everyone was awake. It felt.. awkward. Sango glowered at him, "Kagome has been missing ever since this morning." "What?" Was all Inuyasha could blurt out. Shippo couldn't take his own silence anymore, now shouting at Inuyasha. "I know you have something to do with Kagome being gone!" Inuyasha scoffed, folding his arms. "What the hell are you talking about? I didn't do shit!" He closed his eyes, trying to keep the kit's voice out from his mind.
"Yes!! You do, too! You told Kagome you loved her! But you're lying.. I can smell more Kikyo all over you!" The words Shippo spoke caused Sango to jump. Shippo fell, but caught on quickly onto the fabric of Sango's outfit. "Inuyasha.. I swear.." Sango began before walking off, Kilala following. "Kilala, transform." Her monotone voice escaped her lips, making Miroku suddenly feel uneasy around her. As Kilala transformed, Sango hopped onto her back, gesturing Miroku to join.
"Inuyasha.. If Kagome gets hurt, I'm blaming all this on you. If she gets killed.. Expect your soul to be transported to the Netherworld." Sango hissed, a bit pissed that Inuyasha had cheated on her sister. I'm just glad they never got intimate.. As Kilala flew into the sky, Inuyasha was left behind, feeling a bit hurt. He must have been the reason she's gone missing. Then again, this could have been a coincidence.
"Hiraikotsu!!" A startled Inuyasha had went into a fighting stance, ready for a demon to sprout out from somewhere. No demons did. Instead, a large boomerang had soared it's way to Inuyasha. Inuyasha ducked, it worked, but... The boomerang had found it's way to pass him, barely touching his ears. He sighed, standing once again. Then realization hit him, but before he could duck again, the boomerang returned, ramming itself into the back of Inuyasha's head.
Even if the hit only hurt him a bit, he was thinking too much, the hit causing to knock him out.
~~~~~
"Here.." He softly spoke, causing Kagome to open one eye. She felt his right index finger on her left shoulder. Sliding up just an inch above her collar bone. Her eyes fully opened, staring at his finger, wondering what he was doing. "Here." He spoke again. "This spot or if you're into the 'vamparic style'..." His voice trailed off as his finger caressed her flesh, trailing up to where her neck met her shoulder, then let it slide just two centimeters across the shoulder. Her skin.. it's so smooth.. Amazing. Naraku secretly wanted her. No. He needed her. But he didn't know it. Even if he did, he would deny it somehow.
"One of those two spots are the common ideal spots for.. The Mating Mark.." It took a few moments before he smirked at the words. Kagome looked up, trying to see as to where this was going. Seeing how she had became confused, he released a sigh, then leaned away from her. "The other way to get Inuyasha mad.. Is to mate with another.." Naraku stated without hesitation. Kagome blushed and turned her face away from him, just to hide it. Mate...? Are you kidding me? I'm not even ready! Or at least.. I... I think so..
Kagome took a stand, her gaze down onto the floor. But then wh... She slowly lifted her head, now looking right at Naraku. Who else.. Other than Inuyasha's enemy.. But.. This doesn't feel right.. I might die at some point anyway, being in Naraku's grasp. Although.. I feel so safe here for some reason. Safer than where Inuyasha was, at least. Naraku noticed Kagome's thoughtful expression.
Both Kagome's and Naraku's eyes darted to the door, hearing a knock from it. "Master.. Where do you wish for the food to be placed in?" Naraku stood, walking over to the door and opened it, enough for the tray to fit through. He took a hold of it, closed the door, then walked over to Kagome, noticing she had sat herself down at the edge of the bed. Hiding a smile, he sat next to her, placing the tray onto her exposed lap.
Kagome looked at the tray, thinking that it'd be poisoned. But the food that was layed onto it.. She couldn't resist.
"I'm not hungry." She huffed, nudging the tray closer to him. "Eat.. If you die of starvation, your vengeance would never be accomplished... Would you like to end up like Kikyo?" It sounded like a threat. But the thought of being just like Kikyo.. Just the thought of her. Letting a hand take ahold of two chopsticks, she let it sink into the fish on one plate, then dug it into the bowl, lifting the chopsticks up to reveal a fish concealed in steamed rice.
As she continued to eat the various foods, Naraku gently took Kagome's chin into his hand, letting her face him. Taken back from the sudden action, she blinked. She hated it when people disturbed her when she ate. Especially when she hasn't ate in days. Naraku brung Kagome's face close to his, his tongue snaking out from his lips. She quickly closed her eyes, thinking for the worst as a slight blush tinted her face. His tongue grazed over her cheek, then pulled back, seeming to be nibbling on something.
Confused, she opened her eyes and noticed he had licked off a stray grain of rice that had stuck itself onto her cheek. She blushed, realizing she wasn't paying attention on how she was eating. Her scent matches her taste.. Delicious. Naraku thought as he noticed the bowls and plates were almost completely empty.
Taking the glass that was filled with tea, she gulped it down, then slammed it down as she sighed, overjoyed that she had just been feed. "My, my, priestess, you sure were hungry.." He mused, a smile forming onto his lips. Kagome didn't really pay much attention, concentrating on digesting the food she had just ate. Naraku took the tray and placed it onto the floor, feeling the bed move a bit as Kagome layed herself onto it. She seemed a bit exhausted after eating such a meal. If she's that tired after a meal... I wonder..
"Good night, priestess." He whispered, gently placing a thin blanket over her figure.
~~~~~
Kagura glanced down, seeing if she could find something familiar. "Miss Kagura, do you see anyone?" A young boy spoke, the voice seeming lifeless. Shaking her head, she sighed, waving the fan at her face. "No.. They must be off looking for the girl. I'm.." She trailed off, noticing someone familiar. Grinning, she directed the feather she rode downwards, floating after the person she detected. "Inuyasha." She said after landing. She would have called him 'half-breed' but then she thought about Naraku. If she insulted him, it'd be like insulting her master.
The aggrivated male turned around, fangs bared as a low snarl emitted from his throat. "What?" He hissed. "Where are the others.. Monk, fox, Demon Slayer.. Nekomata. I usually see you with them." Kagura responded, continuing to wave the fan at herself. Inuyasha noticed someone behind her, but noticed that he couldn't save the young boy - yet. At least not with Sango around. "Yeah, well, I left without them." He lied through his teeth. "Now leave me alone, will ya?" Turning back to walk away from the woman, he placed a hand on the sheath, awaiting to see if Kagura would attack at some time.
"I know where your little priestess is."
Inuyasha took a halt in his steps, turning back around and walking back to her, then stood close to Kagura. Close enough that she would be able to see the emotion he held in his eyes. "Tell me.. Where is she..."
"Naraku has her." Kohaku cut in. Kagura chuckled, plucking a feather out from her bun as she threw it to the ground, allowing it to transform into a boat-like feather. She and Kohaku jumped in. "That's all we can inform you with, mutt." With that, she laughed as the feather rose into the air, fleeing before Inuyasha could even speak or move.
Dammit...
