Chapter 3 - What?
Kagome awoke to Sango sleeping next to her and Inuyasha gone, she heard a splashing not to far off and guessed he was bathing. She gathered her bath supplies and went to go and see, sure enough a bronzed god was glistening with water as his waist length hair clung to his back. Kagome walked up as he turned to see who was interrupting him “oh Kagome, umm I’ll be done in a sec.”
She blushed and turned away “ok I’ll sit here and keep you company…” her tone turned serious “besides I need to know what happened to Sango.”
He swallowed, and turned around from his spot “look I don’t think it’s my place to tell…”
“INUYASHA!” came a scream.
Kagome saw Sango run past her and jump into the spring fully clothed, worry etched her face as she saw her friend crying and hugging Inuyasha.
“Inuyasha I thought you left me!” cried Sango.
“Shh Sango it’s all right I’m here,” he purred to her.
Kagome decided to get some answers while the three were alone “Sango?”
The girl turned and saw Kagome near the bank “y-yes?”
Inuyasha had feared this moment and looked at her, and then to Sango and back as Kagome looked at the two “why are you acting like this?” she asked.
Kagome noticed her hesitance and stutter and decided to question more “well Shippo said that he heard you two talking, so what happened? Was it Miroku?”
Inuyasha visibly flinched before responding “I know I heard you two talking also” he replied turning his gaze to the water.
“So” she looked at him and Sango
Sango turned away “please I don’t want to talk about it…I’m not ready.”
Kagome nodded “it’s ok, I understand…I want you to know I’m here for you” said the young miko “I’ll wait until your ready.”
“I’m sorry for taking Inuyasha but it hurts when he isn’t near” she began to cry.
Kagome smiled not understanding her meaning “it’s ok he’s your friend too.”
Back at camp
“Miroku?” asked Shippo.
“Yeah” he replied between sniffles.
“Why are you crying?” asked the kitsune.
“Because Sango is rejecting me” he cried “and I don’t know what happened to her.”
Shippo thinking he was helping again puffed out his chest “I know what happened!”
“R-Really?” asked Miroku as he dried his eyes.
“I heard them talking last night” said the kitsune “Sango asked how she couldn’t be displeasing because her innocence was taken and then said she just sat there and took it like a whore”
Miroku’s anger shot throughout his body at the thought of Sango being forced into something, he stood up and grabbed his staff walking towards the spring. The girls were sitting down near the spring as Inu Yasha had dried himself and was fully clothed but standing near a tree, the monk stopped “what happened!?”
Sango cringed and Kagome stood “come with me” she demanded pulling him back to the camp.
When they got back she told him Sango wouldn’t talk to anyone but Inuyasha “was it you?” she asked cautiously.
His eyes went wide “How could you think that!? I could never do such a deplorable act!”
Kagome sighed “ok…I just needed to make sure, but it seems Sango may fear you cause you’re a man…this may be hard but try not to talk to her ok?”
Miroku looked dejected but nodded “ok I need to go clear my head I’ll head to Kaede’s ahead of you.”
Kagome smiled “we’ll see you there.”
(A/N - Sorry for the short chapter but i'm rewriting it...originaly Miroku dies but I'll leave it to you...review if you want him to live, if i get no reviews I'll assume you want him dead.)
