Inuyasha's mother walked into Inuyasha's room and saw him laying on his bed staring out the window.
"Inuyasha?" she asked.
"What!" he said too loudly.
"Don't speak to me in that tone young man. Lately you've been acting different. Usually you are nice to the little girls in the village, but your mean to Kagome. Why is that?" she asked him.
"She looks like Kikyou..." Inuyasha whispered so his mother had to work extra hard just to hear what he said.
"Who's Kikyou??" she asked excitedly.
Inuyasha blushed and sat up in his bed.
"She's a girl in the village a ways down the road..." he said looking down at his hands.
"Ahhhhh!" yelled his mother as she hugged him with a huge smile on her face.
"Are you okay mother?" Inuyasha asked... for he never saw his mother like this before.
"Your first crush!...Yeah I'm fine sweetie. How about you invite her over for lunch sometime?" she asked him.
"Iono..." he whispered.
"How about you go play with Kagome and make friends with her." she said trying to get him to come out of his shyness that he suddenly got while talking about Kikyou. She also made a mental note to find out exactly who this mystery girl was.
"Feh." he said as he walked off in search of Kagome.

In the hall Inuyasha saw Sesshomaru walking towards him. He stood taller and started his little 'I'm better than you' walk. Sesshomaru did the same with his head held high.
"Oh the doggy goes marching down the hall hurrah hurrah. Oh the doggy goes marching down the hall hurrah hurrah. Oh the little kitty is trying to strut his stuff and trips hurrah hurrah." sang a voice.
While Inuyasha was picking himself up off the floor, Sesshomaru stopped walking and turned to see Kagome beaming at them from a door way watching everyone of their moves. Both looked at her like she wasn't even funny.
"Oh the doggy looks just like he usually does hurrah herah. Oh the doggy looks like he's constipated hurrah hurrah. Oh the kitty looks mad hurrah hurrah." she sang again with a huge smile on her face while both brothers stood staring at her.
"Oh the little girl better shut it up before the doggy catches her hurrah hurrah." sang Sesshomaru right back at her.
"Oh the doggy thinks he can sing hurrah hurrah. And yet all he does is chase his own tail hurrah hurrah." Kagome sang back at him.
"Oh the little human is going to get her hair pulled out hurrah hurrah." Inuyasha added in.
"OH the little kitty thinks he got's what it takes to beat me... I don't think so... he is after all a little kitty that doesn't even know how to walk on its own two feet hurrah hurrah." Kagome sang at Inuyasha.
Both brothers had enough and with a growl they ran after her as she went running down the hall laughing all the way hurrah hurrah.
