A New Life Which I Didn't Expect

Chapter 3
The next day which was the last day of the weekend both Riku and Rin were waiting at the front desk for Sesshomaru. “God how long does he expect us to wait for” Riku said getting all frustrated just sitting. “Don’t worry Riku he might just be finishing of some work or something” Rin replied. “You know I have got to say but you seem to stick up for that guy” Riku said to her and a small blush came up on Rin’s face. “Well I just think you might have been a little hard on him yesterday” Rin said back. “I guess its just that I thought that you knowing him was so exciting but that was before I met him myself and what a bad attitude he has” Riku replied.
“Miss Riku, Miss Rin, Mr Hirashi will see you now” the receptionist told them, they both stood up and headed to the office door. The door automatically opened for them and they walked inside and saw Sesshomaru talking on the phone at his desk. “Yes alright then its agreed, I will be their tomorrow at twelve, yes I will bring the documents with me, alright goodbye” and he hanged up the phone. “Please take a sit” Sesshomaru said to them, Riku and Rin sat down and the office was total silent. “What is your plan to get Rin out of this” Riku asked him when she then got handed a piece of paper. “What’s this” Riku asked, “that is the plan to help Rin out of all this” Sesshomaru told her. Riku looked down at the piece of paper and started to read it.
*These are a few rules that Rin must follow for two months to help her out of this situation.
1. Rin must pack her things and move into Sesshomaru’s house in one week’s time.
2. Rin must be dropped of and picked up by Sesshomaru’s limo driver, if going out or going to school.
3. No one is aloud to come see Rin why living at Sesshomaru’s home.
4. On weekends Rin may leave the house after 8:00am and return before 8:00pm and no later.
5. Rin may not see any boys, neither from school or when going out.
6. Rin can only phone her parents and Riku.
7. Rin must accompany Sesshomaru to business lunches and dinners.
8. Rin must not answer any questions from the press.
The list went on, Riku wasn’t sure how to make it all out, Rin having to move in with him and being driven in his limo. “What is this Mr Hirashi you don’t actually expect Rin to move in with you, that will just make things ten times worse” Riku told him. When Rin heard that she would have to move in with Sesshomaru she didn’t know what to think. “Besides do you really think that Rin’s parents will actually allow her to live with a man” Riku kept saying. “This is what I have chosen Miss Riku, I will talk to Rin’s parents and tell them what the situation is” Sesshomaru told her. “Well pray tell why Rin has to follow these rules your making it sound like you want her to act as your girlfriend” Riku said.
“That is the whole idea, that Rin pretends to be my girlfriend for the next few months until this blows over, if she tries to get back to her social life she will be surrounded by news reporters, cameras and she wont be having a social life anymore but if she lives with me and pretends that we are in a relationship I can guarantee her safety from the press” Sesshomaru told them. “Well maybe so but have you thought about Rin and how this will affect her” Riku said. “Right Rin, you don’t really want to do this do you” Riku asked her best friend. “Well I think this is the only way Riku” she said, “so I will do it Mr Hirashi I will pretend to be your girlfriend that is if my parents will allow it” Rin told him. “What Rin your not serious” Riku was shocked when she heard those words come out of her friends mouth. “I have no choice Riku so please understand, you’re my best friend and I need your support on this” Rin told her. “Huh, alright Rin if that is what you think is best” Riku replied “but as for you Mr Hirashi you better take good care of Rin you got me” Riku told him, “do not worry everything will be fine” Sesshomaru replied.

It was six o’clock at night and Rin was in her room finishing of some home work, when she heard the door bell. “I’ll get it” she heard her mother yell out, a few minutes went and Rin’s door suddenly opened. “Um Rin there is someone at the door, he says he knows you” her mother said “oh” Rin got up and followed her mother to the front door. Their standing near the front door was Sesshomaru holding his jacket in his arms. Sesshomaru then saw Rin and all she was wearing was some pink track pants and a white strap top. “Mr Hirashi I am surprised to see you here” Rin said “darling do you know this man” her mother asked. “This is Mr Sesshomaru Hirashi he was very kind to offer me a ride home when I missed the bus last week” Rin told her.
Rin’s mother wasn’t very keen on having her daughter ride in some mans car but as she got home safely then this man standing before her mustn’t be all that bad. “I am very thankful that you brought my daughter home safely Mr Hirashi” she said. “That is quite alright” Sesshomaru replied, “oh were are my manners I am Lucy Pearl Rin’s mother as you already know of course” she introduced herself. “It is very nice to meet you Mrs Pearl” and they both shock hands, “would you like something to drink” Lucy asked showing Sesshomaru to the lounge room “no thank you I am fine I have just come here to discuss something important with you and your husband” Sesshomaru told her why sitting down on the couch. “Well my husband is at work right now but you may tell me what it is you wish to talk about” Lucy said.
“Very well, it seems that your daughter has gotten into a little problem which is because of me” Sesshomaru started saying. “A problem what kind of problem” Rin’s mother was a little worried now. “Have you ever heard of Inutaisho Corporation Mrs Pearl” he asked her, “why of course, it is the largest company in all of Japan” she replied. “Well I don’t know if you are aware but I am the president of that company and since that is so news reporters follow me trying to make a story out of some things that I do in my social life, it seems that a news reporter had cached your daughter with me and made a story that we are in a secret relationship and for that fact Rin here will be followed and being asked questions by the press, so as accord for Rin to be not in that situation I have come up with a solution that might help her in a way” Sesshomaru explained the whole story to the shocked mother sitting across from him.
Sesshomaru gave Rin’s mother the list that he had showed Riku earlier on that day but this one was only a copy. Lucy read the whole thing and was getting even more shocked with every rule she read on the paper. “If you will allow this, in a few months this whole story will lift from the public and Rin will be able to come home, if you agree to these terms I promise you that I will not force anything on your daughter not physically on my part” Sesshomaru told her. “Though wont this make an even bigger story if Rin pretends to be your girlfriend” Lucy asked him. “That could be the case but if she stays with me I can easily keep the press away from her, I do not know how long this will last but you must trust me” Sesshomaru told her. “I will have to talk to my husband about this and I will give you our answer tomorrow if that is alright” Lucy asked him. “That is fine, here is my card ring this number and tell me your answer then, I must be going now so have a good night Mrs Pearl” Sesshomaru stood up and headed to the front door.
“Rin show him out alright” Lucy told her daughter why heading over to the kitchen “yes mum” Rin replied. They walked to the front door and Rin opened it for Sesshomaru “thank you Mr Hirashi” Rin said, “if your mother and father agree to this you will be calling me by my first name from then on” Sesshomaru replied. Rin watched the limo pull away, thinking to herself that what will happen if her parents do agree.

“HE WHAT, your kidding right he actually came to your house last night” Riku said. That morning when Riku and Rin met up at school Rin had told her the whole ordeal about what happened the other night when Sesshomaru came over. “What did your mum say when she heard all this” Riku asked her. “Well my mum was rather surprised and when she told my dad well he just fainted” Rin told her. “God this is getting to intense, have your parents made up their mind if they are going to allow you to do this” Riku asked again. “I don’t know what their answer is because I went to bed and to tell you the truth I didn’t really want to know what their answer was going to be, I guess I will just find out when I get home” Rin replied.
It was the last lesson of school and Rin and Riku were in the gym with the class playing inside volleyball. “I got it I got it” a girl said hitting the ball over the net. The whistle went “time” and the girls all got to have a rest. “Hey Rin can you pass me my water bottle” Riku asked her “yeah here you go” Rin passed it to her. They both sat down “are you nervous” Riku started up a conversation “nervous about what” Rin asked. “About what your parents are going to say when you get home” Riku told her. “I haven’t really been thinking about that, now that you brought it up” Rin said back, before Riku could reply the whistle went. “Alright girls brakes over” and all the girls ran back onto the court to start the game again. They had been playing for five minutes when the gym door opened. All the girls on the other side of the court which Rin was on froze when they saw the person walking through the door.
The ball came flying towards Rin and as she wasn’t concentrating it hit her right on the head. Since it was a hard hit to the head she blacked out on the floor, all of the girls ran towards her to see if she was alright. Rin slowly opened her eyes when she saw a tall figure with long silver hair looking right at her. Sesshomaru was just standing their and some of the girls were surrounding him asking him for an autograph. All he did was ignore the girls and just looked at Rin why she was looking back at him. “Rin are you alright” the teacher asked her “yeah I’m fine” and Rin stood up. She walked towards Sesshomaru “what are you doing here” Rin asked him and all the girls were stunned that their class mate actually knew him. “I have come to pick you up of course” Sesshomaru told her. “Pick me up but school hasn’t even finished” Rin said back “I know but one of the rules said that my limo driver picks you up and since he would be a bit late I told him to come early” Sesshomaru told her. “Wait but that rule only is followed if my parents had agreed and said yes” Rin asked. “I got a phone call from your mother a few hours ago saying that she and your father have agreed only for your sake of course” he told her.
Rin was so shocked that it seemed she had been hit by lightning, her parents actually said yes that was not like them. Surly they would have said no since they barely knew Sesshomaru and that they couldn’t trust him no matter how nice he seemed. “So grab you school things I will meet you out the front of the school” and Sesshomaru walked of. Rin asked her teacher if she could leave early since she had a little crisis to attend to. Her teacher gave her permission, so Rin grabbed her things and met Sesshomaru standing near the limo. Some girls saw Rin with him and couldn’t believe it. Rin hopped into the limo with Sesshomaru and they drove of “so your taking me home right” Rin asked. “No, we are going to my house, since your parents said yes I had asked your mother to pack all your clothes and certain things you needed and to bring them to my house tonight” Sesshomaru told her. “What you mean that I am moving in today but I thought that if this was going to happen I would be moving in, in a week's time” Rin said “I changed my mind” Sesshomaru replied.
Rin maybe the quiet silent type of girl but this was to much, she didn’t mind that her parents agreed even though she was shocked that they actually did. Though moving into Sesshomaru’s house right after the night he had come to her house was something she did not expect. Rin had thought that maybe she would move in, in about a weeks time not in one days time. A headache was coming on and it wasn’t from the hit in the head from the volleyball. Sesshomaru looked over at her and knew Rin was not all that thrilled about moving in so soon. To say the least he wasn’t all that pleased either. This was the only way though, if she moved in the quicker the better because this whole thing would soon be over a lot quicker. Coming up with the plan of Rin being his pretend girlfriend was something he wasn’t quite sure of. It wasn’t actually his idea it was Jaken’s idea. When Jaken told him Sesshomaru disagreed that idea before his midget servant could finish.
He tried to come up with some other solutions but nothing came into his mind he was stuck. It was the first time ever that something like this happened to him. He hated the idea that Jaken came up with but that was his only choice. Sesshomaru decided that if Rin did move in with him and that she had to be his fake girlfriend, he deffiently wasn’t going to act all mushy and lovey dovey towards her. That was not him, he would just plain ignore her when she was living with him and make sure she does everything he says. Sesshomaru was not going to get all emotional with her. It was not one of those love stories were a high lord falls in love with a servant girl of course Rin wasn’t going to be a servant, its just a figure of speech.
The limo soon stopped and the car door opened, Sesshomaru got out first and Rin afterwards. The house was huge to her eyes, it wasn’t a house it was like a castle she didn’t even know how many floors their were. Rin couldn’t wait to see what it looked like on the inside ‘so this is were I will be staying for the next few months’ Rin thought to herself. It seemed to her that this was the beginning of something new.
