Chapter 3

The morning soon came and the bright sunlight was shining through the window onto Rin’s face. She opened her eyes and felt a warm arm over her body she looked to the side and Sesshomaru was looking at her. “Good morning” he said “morning” she replied and then kissed him on the lips. Sesshomaru had decided that they should get ready to leave even though he didn’t want to at the moment.

They got ready and headed back to the castle, once they arrived Rin had gone straight to her room. Sesshomaru walked into his study and standing at the window was Esha, she turned around and had an angry look on her face.

“Where did you go Sesshomaru” she asked him with an angry tone in her voice. “That is none of your concern” he replied walking over to his desk. “It is my concern I am your mate and you just hop up and leave without even explaining to me why” she said. “I had Jaken tell you where I was going” he replied. “Well all he told me was that you had something you needed to attend to” she told him.

Sesshomaru hated hearing her complaining about things which never concerned her. He sat down in his chair, she walked over to him. “You were with her weren’t you” she said looking straight at him. Sesshomaru just ignored her “I know you were Sesshomaru, because she wasn’t in the castle either”. Esha hated how Sesshomaru would always ignore her but she defiantly knew that he and Rin were together for the night.

“I’m right aren’t I” she said “what I do with my ward is nothing to do with you Esha and we will leave it at that” he replied. Sesshomaru stood up and walked out of his study he couldn’t take anymore. Once he left the study Esha had grabbed his chair and threw it against the wall screaming. Sesshomaru heard the entire commotion in his study room but didn’t care about it.

It had been a week since Esha had that argument with Sesshomaru and since then Rin had been feeling very sick in the stomach. She tried to eat but it would never want to go down, she was throwing up every morning. Tanica had a lot on her hands taking care of Rin, she had told Sesshomaru to get a doctor. He told her their was no need for that because he already knew what was wrong with her from four days ago.

He just wasn’t sure when to tell Rin that she was now pregnant with his pup. Rin was a bit worried why she was always sick and felt terrible. Sesshomaru told Tanica about what he knew but said not to tell Rin. Tanica knew that the sickness would soon go away in a few days which was good.

A few days past by and Rin was feeling a whole lot better but she really wanted to know what had been wrong with her.

“Lord Sesshomaru” she knocked on his study door “you can come in Rin” he replied. She walked through the door and shut it behind her. Rin walked up to his desk and stood their not saying a word. She just waited until he would say something “what is it Rin” he looked up at her. “Well I was just hoping that you might know what was wrong with me those last few days” she asked him.

Sesshomaru just looked at her, he could already smell the small scent of his unborn pup. He finally decided to tell her that she was with child. In a few months her belly would get bigger and she would defiantly want to know then. “Rin I am going to tell you something which may shock you” he first said. Rin just looked at him wondering what it would be that will shock her.

“Rin you are with child” he told her straight out, the look on Rin’s face was a shocked one. After hearing she was pregnant her legs felt weak and she fainted not before Sesshomaru quickly caught her not wanting to harm the baby. Sesshomaru took Rin to her chambers and laid her down on the bed.

“Jaken”, “yes milord” Jaken had seen his lord carrying Rin to her room so he followed Sesshomaru. “I want you to get two guards and tell them to stand outside Rin’s room at all time” he told his loyal servant. “Yes milord I will do that straight away” Jaken then left leaving Sesshomaru alone with Rin.

Once Jaken had left the room, Rin had started waking up “lord Sesshomaru” she only whispered his name. “What happened” she asked him realizing she was in her bed chamber “you fainted” he told her. “Oh I guess hearing the news about me being pregnant kind of surprised me a bit” she said to him. She placed her hand over her stomach “to tell you the truth I am very happy knowing that there is a small life growing inside me” she said.

Sesshomaru placed his hand over hers “I promise you Rin that I will protect this child and you” he told her. Rin smiled “I know you will” she replied, Sesshomaru bent down and kissed her on the lips.

He knew that with Rin having this child would defiantly bring some complications in his home. Sesshomaru defiantly knew that Esha will not like it when she finds out that Rin is pregnant. Though he didn’t care this was his castle he was the lord and he made the decisions if those who didn’t like that Rin was going to have his second pup, they can just leave.

Their was no need to tell anyone that Rin was pregnant because they already knew. They could tell that Rin’s scent had changed and that she was with child. The only people who didn’t know was Esha and Saisho. They had gone to visit Esha’s father for a while and they wouldn’t be back until a few days. Of course when they returned Esha was going to get a big surprise which she will really hate.

The day she had come back from her father’s and found out Rin was going to be having Sesshomaru’s second child. She had tried to strangle Rin, it was a good thing that Sesshomaru had gotten their in time and threw Esha away from Rin before she could have killed her and their unborn pup. Esha had made some terrible comments to Rin and about her baby.

Rin knew that her and Sesshomaru’s child will be a hanyou like Inuyasha but she didn’t care. Rin would love and cherish this child with all her heart. Sesshomaru knew that if this child was not his and Rin got pregnant from another demon. That child would have a hard life but as this one was his, he would make sure it will have proper respect.

After Esha’s attempt of trying to kill Rin along with his unborn pup he had put her in a cell in his castle. He didn’t punish her by torturing her, Sesshomaru just put her their so she wouldn’t try that again. He told her that if she tried to do that again he wouldn’t hesitate to kill her next time. Esha’s father, lord Hiroshi was very much displeased when he found out that Rin was pregnant and that Sesshomaru had put his daughter in a jail cell.

Hiroshi had complained and argued with Sesshomaru but Sesshomaru would just ignore him. Sesshomaru had told him that Esha had done what she was supposed to do by giving him an heir and that what ever else he does was none of lord Hiroshi’s business. Hiroshi had decided not to start a war with Sesshomaru about this, no matter how pissed of he was about it. Besides even though he did not like it he had always been allies with Sesshomaru’s father and would remain allies with Sesshomaru.

The only reason Hiroshi remained allies with Sesshomaru’s father and him was because the western armies had many soldiers. It was said that out of all four lords Sesshomaru’s army was the largest out of them all.

When Esha was aloud out, a guard had to stay with her at all time during the day and night. That was only precaution so then she didn’t go near Rin again. Saisho soon found out that Rin was carrying either his half brother or sister. Unfortunately he was not happy about that, he didn’t want a sibling which came from a different woman especially a human. Even though Saisho was only six he had a good sense of smell and when Rin was near him he would run away. He could not stand smelling that half-breed inside of her.

Rin was sitting in the garden rubbing her swollen tummy she was already six months pregnant. It would only be one more month until she would be giving birth. Sesshomaru had told her that it only takes six months for a full blooded demon to grow but for a hanyou it takes seven.

Sesshomaru told her a few months ago that she was carrying a boy so they where going to be having a son. Rin knew though that Saisho did not like her and the unborn pup, she hoped that maybe him and her son would get along. It would be a shame if they ended up being like Sesshomaru and Inuyasha always wanting to fight one another. Though in her heart she knew that Sesshomaru care a little for his younger brother.

“Rin here you are” Tanica came walking towards her “I have been looking all over for her” she said. “Sorry Tanica for making you worry” Rin replied, “you know you should always have either a guard with you now that your close to having your son” Tanica told her. “I know I guess I forgot and having some one guard you every day can get quite annoying after a while” Rin told her maid who is now mostly a friend.

“You know that it was lord Sesshomaru’s orders for you to always be protected” Tanica told her. Rin looked at all the flowers in front of her “I know but I would just like to be by myself for awhile” she replied. “Hmm it seems like I will be having a spring baby” Rin said with a happy smile on her face. “Rin have you come up with any names for your baby” Tanica asked her. “Well I have but I thought I might let Sesshomaru name him” Rin said back “are you sure” Tanica asked. Rin looked at her “of course besides I would really like for him to choose the name” Rin replied.

Suddenly Rin felt a sharp pain “AHHH” she brought her hand to her stomach. “Rin” Tanica was worried seeing the pain on Rin’s face. “Tanica I, I think its time” she said clutching onto her swollen belly. Tanica helped Rin up and slowly started walking “oh goddd” their was another sharp pain. Jaken had just walked out and saw Rin and Tanica coming towards him and by the look on Rin’s face he knew something wasn’t right.

“Tanica what’s wrong with Rin” he asked her “she’s about to have her baby, go tell Sesshomaru and I will take Rin to her room” she told Jaken. It took some time until they finally reached Rin’s chambers. Tanica laid her down on the bed “ok Rin I want you to take some slow breaths” Tanica told her. Sesshomaru ran into Rin’s room and saw how much pain she was going through. “Milord please stay outside of the room until the baby is born” she told him and leaded her master out of Rin’s room.

Sesshomaru looked at her “if anything happens to her it will be your responsibility” Sesshomaru told her. Tanica nodded and walked back in, she had called for two other maids to help her during Rin’s delivery. They where rushing around getting towels and warm water why Tanica was telling Rin to push.

Sesshomaru was pacing up and down getting rather anxious for Rin’s and their sons lives. He didn’t understand why his son was coming a month early. It was suppose to be seven months not six.

To Sesshomaru it seemed that time was going so slow, he wasn’t sure how long he had been waiting. He could hear Rin screaming from inside the room why trying to push the pup out. Some of the demons inside the castle could hear the screams roaming down the corridors. Esha was in her chambers with Saisho.

“Mother will the baby be born soon I cant take the noise anymore” he said sitting next to her on Esha’s big bed. She didn’t answer her son, she was thinking how great it would be if she could just walk into the room and kill Rin why she was half way through giving birth. She defiantly did not want a hanyou running around the castle. Somewhere inside her seemed to be frightened of this new child. She was worried that Sesshomaru would decide to change his mind about having Saisho as his heir and would choose his second son instead which was the son of another woman.

Saisho felt threatened when he found out that he was going to be having a half brother. He would make sure that he was going to be the one ruling the western lands after Sesshomaru. Even though his father didn’t seem to want anything to do with him, he would keep his title as heir. No half-breed would take that away from him.

Sesshomaru stopped pacing when he heard a babies cry coming from inside Rin’s room. He could tell that his son was alright and completely healthy. The door opened and Tanica walked out wiping her hands with a cloth. “Everything went perfectly Rin and your son are fine” she told him. Sesshomaru walked into the room and saw Rin sitting up in bed and holding a small bundle in her arms.

She looked up and saw Sesshomaru standing at the door way “come and meet your son” she said. He walked over to her, Rin handed their son to Sesshomaru and he took the small child in his arms. Two little brown eyes opened and looked at Sesshomaru why he looked back. The baby started laughing, he had the same smile as Rin.

His son had some silver hair on his head and a small blue moon on his forehead which gave proof that he was Sesshomaru’s son. Sesshomaru was expecting his son to have dog ears on his head like Inuyasha. Instead of that he had pointy ears but he soon noticed their was some black in his hair. It seemed that the black strands of hair, he got from Rin and the same with his eyes. Sesshomaru was surprised that his son had normal demon ears than dog ears.

It seemed that his pup was a little bit different to a normal hanyou and that was ok with him. “What should we call him” Rin asked Sesshomaru bringing him back from his little dais. Sesshomaru looked at her and then down to his pup “he shall be named Rihashi” Sesshomaru told her. Rin loved the name that Sesshomaru had given their new born son. Sesshomaru looked at his son “that is your name, Rihashi” he said and his pup laughed. Telling his father that he really liked that name.

As the screaming had stopped Esha knew that the baby was born. “Saisho no matter what you will become remain heir and be far stronger than that disgusting child” she told her son. “Yes mother and I will show father that I am far greater as well” Saisho replied.

Well that is another chapter done, I am already writing up another one but you will just have to wait a bit.
