Chapter 3
Preparations
Reaching the hot springs a few short minutes later Kagome and Sango started to undress, talking the whole time. When they sank down into the water with contented sighs they both closed their eyes and laid back to enjoy the moment.
She couldn’t believe this could, or would, ever happen to her, But it was! He was holding her tightly in his left arm he started to run his right through her Long, Silky black hair marveling at the softness of it. She gave a contented sigh and thought ‘ I wish he would love me like I love him.’
“Kagome? Is there something on your mind? Anything you want to share?”
“ Well no, I mean yes, I mean ummmm…. You see it is Sesshoumaru. He invited us to a party at his palace in two weeks and he also gave me the most beautiful Kimono to wear. I don’t know why he asked and Sango?”
Slightly stunned at that news Sango jerked at the sound of her name, “Yes Kagome?”
“Well I have been Day Dreaming of him lately doing all sorts of things! Ok well not ALL sorts of things just different ways he would hold me and kiss me and look at me…”
“KAGOME!” Sango began interrupting her friend, “You can’t think like that about him! He is Inuyasha’s older brother-”
“Half- brother”
“What ever. The point is that you can’t think like that about him. What about Inuyasha? Have you considered his feelings?”
“Why should I? Did you ever see him consider mine when he chased after Kikyo? Does he ever consider my feelings? Sango I think I have left my love for Inuyasha behind me.”
“Ok. Well what about the fact that this is SESSHOUMARU! He would kill you if he ever found out that a human, especially you, was thinking about him in that way? He HATES humans.”
“I know Sango, but I still can’t stop them from coming. And to make matters worse they always come to me at the worst possible times!”
“Kagome I wish I could help you figure this one out but it looks to me as though it is a problem you will have to work out on your own… possibly with a certain Youkai’s help?”
Kagome became quiet and thought about that. On the one hand she could keep it to herself and become wet when she had the day dreams so every Youkai in the near vicinity would smell it, or she could tell Sesshoumaru ask for his help and pray he doesn’t kill her. * I think I would prefer the latter to the first one anyday!*
‘ I agree with you there girl!’
Her mind made up Kagome stepped out of the hot spring and grabbed her towel that lay on a nearby boulder. After drying off and getting dressed again she headed back to Kaede’s village.
Hidden in the forest just a few yards away from the spring stood Sesshoumaru smiling to himself. So the Miko had fantasies about him did she? He would just have to use that to make her his faster.
*This Sesshoumaru will make all her fantasies come true, but how to go about it…*
‘ If you ask me-’
*which I didn’t*
‘you should continue what you are doing, getting her alone at the river was brillant you got to get a taste of her sweet lips. Keep getting her alone and who knows what you will get to taste next…’
*sadly that is a brilliant plan*
‘I know, Do you think it is wise that you gave her HER Kimono? Wouldn’t she feel insulted that a human will be wearing it?’
*No if I know my mother she would be proud to have it worn by my future mate human or no. And besides, she is no ordinary human, she is a very powerful Miko.*
‘I just hope you know what you are doing’
*Do not presume this Sesshoumaru does not realize he places everything on the line with this. Do not question this Sesshoumaru*

With one last look at the spring that Kagome had just vacated, Sesshoumaru started to walk back towards his camp deep in thought. Now that he knew how he affected the little miko he could use it to meet his ends even quicker than planned. She would be his, of that there was no doubt. Inuyasha, however, was becoming a very annoying nuciance, imagine him trying to keep her away from him. At the thought of anyone trying to keep Kagome away from him Sesshoumaru started to get very angry. The claws on his right hand started to drip poison onto the ground the rest of the way back to camp. He would have to deal with Inuyasha soon.
*********meanwhile in the village********
Kagome packed her bow and arrows along with a change of clothes, after a last look at the beautiful Kimono she retied the twine and set it aside to await the party. It had seemed like time couldn’t go fast enough and she was disappointed to note that she still had to wait a whole week before she saw him again. Sango and Miroku got Shippo all ready to go also planning on being able to leave early on the day of departure. Everyone in the small group was excited even Kirara, well everyone except Inuyasha. He did not like the thought of going to Sesshoumaru’s palace at all, he felt like something was going on that he had no idea about. *Damn that Bastard!*
‘hey I was trying to sleep’
*well now you get to listen you baka.*
*’sigh’* ’you know you just called yourself a baka’
*shut up!*
‘fine what do you want to rant about now?’
*Kagome going to that stupid party! What else?*
‘ummm maybe something important. Honestly why was the retard the one who got main control?’
*what was that* Inuyasha growled low in his throat.
‘nothing go ahead and rant’
*How could she do this to me? Just because he invited her doesn’t mean anything. Right?*
‘How stupid are you? That Kimono he gave her you do know whose that was right? His mother’s, he is serious here.’
*His mother’s? Then that means…*
‘Did we get there yet?’
*HE IS GOING TO ASK KAGOME TO BE HIS MATE!*
‘good job now can I go back to sleep?’

“KAGOME!!!!”
“What Inuyasha? I’m busy!”
“You are not going to that dumb party and that is final!”
“Yea? Really? Well then how do you plan on going if you can’t get up from the ground?”
“What do you mean?”
Smiling sweetly at him Kagome suddenly cried out, “SIT BOY! SIT SIT SIT SIT SIT SIT SIT SIT SIT SIT SIT…” Finally hoarse in the mouth she stopped and looked down at him. “You can not and will not EVER tell me what to do… Understand?”
A muffled agreement came from the rather large crator that Inuyasha was at the bottom of. Hurrying off Kagome went back to the hut to finish preparing for departure!
