Nothing but Death and Surprises

“How, how could you do this to me Kagome?” Inuyasha whispered.

He watched as his formal lover slowly backed away from the unknown spouse. Her eyes wide with fear and surprise, while Sesshomaru looked clam, emotionless as usual, his eyes paying no attention to Inuyasha’s angry behavior.

Kagome stared at the young hayou with disbelief.

“Are you serious Inuyasha?” she questioned vaguely.

“Of course I’m fucking serious! How could you do something like that, especially with a fag like Sesshomaru!” he yelled.

“Now you hold on just a minute, you started this whole charade when you where with Kikiyo in the stalls yesterday!” she cried.

Inuyasha’s face went blank. Had he been found out? That small incident was nothing, just a random touch up, in other words rubbing only. Those stalls were too damn small for anyone to get a good fuck in anyway, even if he tried it would have been useless.

“I didn’t do anything with Kikiyo!” he yelled.

Kagome was astonished, as was Sesshomaru. How could he lie when she saw them together, or at least heard their voices anyway. She was completely stunned at how easily Inuyasha could lie to her face.

“I can’t believe you! How could you lie like that, I heard you two!” she sobbed.

“What you heard was Kikiyo and Kouga, they were in the stalls yesterday, not me. I was in class.” He explained.

“But I heard her voice, I heard her say your name,” she cried.

Inuyasha walked over to Kagome’s side, growling low in his throat to keep Sesshomaru at distance before comforting her fallen tears.

“It was all a misunderstanding Kagome, I would never cheat on you, I love you.” He whispered.

It was amazing how good of a liar he was. But he was a good liar she had to say, for the single heartbeat he looked her in the eye, she almost believed him.

“How can you love me, when you promised your oath on loving Kikiyo.” She looked at him questionably.

“Inuyasha stared into her throbbing eyes. She was serious, always serious. But tonight her seriousness had turned to anger, which then turned into hatred. Fear struck his eyes, as he feared he was losing her.

“What are you saying Kagome?” he whispered in pain.

“I’m saying I can’t be with you Inuyasha. I know what I heard and I’m sticking with it.” She glared.

Inuyasha stood up from her side. Only glancing to her face as he slowly walked backwards towards the door. His face caught in surprise, and his heart aching with what felt like pain. He stood by the wall, finally reaching her bedroom door before finally leaving with only his last words of goodbye.

“I guess then I’ll see you at school tomorrow Kagome, bye.” He whispered before finally running downstairs, closing the door behind him.

Kagome stared in shock. That was supposed to be much harder when she had imagined it.

“What if she really hurt him and was telling the truth?” she thought.
She stared blankly at the ceiling, forgetting about Sesshomaru sitting on her bed, still frozen.

She jumped slightly as she felt him moving towards her. His arms lightly touching her shoulders, pulling the sleeves to her dress down to the beginning of her breast.

“Wait,” she said finally conscious.

“I’m sorry, I just thought you needed it,” He stopped.

“No, you don’t need to apologize, I just have to much stress on my mind right now.” She looked down, playing with the lines on her palms.

“Then I guess I should leave then. I shouldn’t be in a place where I’m not wanted.” He stated.

“No, please. I didn’t mean it like that!” she pleaded.

She watched as the only guy she really felt comfortable with without Inuyasha was Sesshmaru, and now he was leaving, breaking apart their friendship and unacquainted love.

She watched from the top her doorway as the young man left the party. Without a single goodbye, not even a kiss.

Kagome felt she wanted to die. But the party was sill going, and she didn’t want her mother to know what happened. So she lived the rest of the night with a fake smile, awkward laughs, and the thoughts of what tomorrow will bring.

Kagome woke up to another frustrating day. This time waking up three hours earlier than when she was supposed to wake up. She slowly got dressed, brushed her teeth and watched cartoons for the remainder of her time.

Walking to school today had been one of the worst parts of her day, but as she said, only one of the worst parts. She also tried to ignore the evil glares people were giving her, along with the stupid “you cheated” remarks too.

She stared face to the ground, as some jerk had roughly pushed her on accident. What a stupid mistake. She sat on the ground floor, for everyone to see. All eyes of City High watched the pathetic girl pick up her books and walk slowly to the lunch quad, as school didn’t begin for another twenty minutes. This was the only peace she had, for she knew no one could bully her with the lunch guards around.

She looked around. Where were Sango and the others? She looked around at their usual spot; they were all gone, vanished. She turned around quickly as rough crowd followed a surprising group.

Kagome left her stuff at the table and watched closely as they came in view. Kagome stared in shock as Inuyasha and the others began walking towards their spot, Inuyasha holding Ayame in his arms and Kikiyo holding tightly around Kouga’s waist. She also watched as Miroku held onto Sango’s backside as she laughed with a surprising look on her face.

“Sango, over here!” she yelled.

She watched as Sango’s face went pale and she quickly ran over to the girls that use to be her best friend.

“Leave me alone Kagome,” Sango sneered.

“Wait, what’s wrong?” Kagome asked.

Kagome yelped as Sango dragged her to the nearest corner, away from everyone else.

“Why did you cheat on Inuyasha?” she asked.

“What!” she screamed.

“Inuyasha was heartbroken and came to us yesterday about it. How could you Kagome?” Sango sighed.

“Sango, you have it all wrong, I didn’t, he was cheating on me with Kikiyo!” she said as tears began forming her eyes.

“That’s not true Kagome, Inuyasha hates Kikiyo, she told us herself, and beside Kikiyo is in love with Kouga.” She said.

“How can you believe that slut, when I’m your best friend!” Kagome screamed.

“You were my best friend Kagome,” Sango glared before walking away.

“But friends don’t hurt others, let alone cheat on boyfriends!” she yelled from a distance.

Kagome fell to her knees.

“What is happening? How could everything be so perfect go so wrong?” she thought.

Kagome knew what she had to do. She ran home, no sprinted. There was no time left, no point in going on living; she was going to kill herself.

She quickly ran through her front door, and up the stairs. Skipping school was a must this time. Aware that no one was home, she smiled with evil on her face; it was the perfect moment. She figured the easiest way to kill her self was to pierce her flesh. She ran downstairs after dropping her things and picked up the sharpest knife she could find. She held it to her throat.

She knew this was stupid; hell it was damn right retarded. She felt ashamed as she let the mist of high school drama get the best of her, and it was embarrassing. But there was nothing she could do. It would be much easier to watch the life of her classmates and family from heaven then interrupt their lives and bring trouble. She satisfied herself with this thought and quickly held the knife closer to her neck, leaving drips of blood fall from a small cut forming. She was pleased, evil had taken her body, as she was ready to take her life, she closed her eyes shut, and wiped the sweat forming on her forehead; she was ready. She choked as the blade slowly pierced her being, in a couple more seconds, this pain would fully penetrate her body and her mind will shut down.

She yelped in pain and shouted in anger as she was pulled away from the blade, lifted by a tall figure.

“What the hell is wrong with you wench!” he ordered.

Kagome fell unconscious…
