Unexpected Company

Inuyasha pushed the gun hard into the girls back causing her to cry out softly

in pain. He had no intentions on truly hurting her, but if she made a dumb move

he had no problem breaking her arm to show her he was serious.

"Listen up bitch. I need you to take me to your stores main safe. Your boss has

some important information that I need."

The girl stood still barely breathing as he waited for her to move.

"Are you deaf wench? Take me to the stores main safe!"

"No." Her reply was barely audible, but he heard her.

"What? Are you seriously telling me no when I have a shotgun pressed into your

back?"

The girl glanced over her shoulder hoping that one of her co-workers would

pass by and see them. Surprisingly, she hadn't heard anymore commotion after

the woman who screamed in the entrance.

'What was going on out there?'

Inuyasha pushed the gun harder into the girls spine causing her to cry out

once more. He quickly put a hand over her mouth stifling the scream as he pulled

her to his chest roughly. He brought his mouth to her ear and shushed her.

"You scream once more and you're dead. You better fucking take me to that safe

if you value your co-workers lives as well as your own."

He felt the girl shudder in his grasp and this time he knew he got through

to her. She was calm and quiet as she spoke

"I'll take you to the safe as long as you call off your men in the front entrance."

Inuyasha quirked an eyebrow and stared at the back of the girls head.

"I don't know what you are trying to pull bitch, but I can assure you that

my men are not in this store at the moment."

"I saw a group of men in the entrance holding a woman at gunpoint and they

were dressed just like you."

Inuyasha roughly turned the girl to face him and stared deep into her eyes.

"Are you sure that's what you saw? You better not be fucking with me."

She looked at the ground and then back into his eyes.

"I'm sure."

'Shit'

He knew something was up about this mission and now things were about to get

messy. Inuyasha pulled the girl with him as he went to the corner to look at

the other registers.

'Who exactly was here?'

He peeked his head around the corner and had to pull back fast as a bullet

buzzed past his cheek.

"Fuck!"

The girl panicked in his arms and began pulling away. His grip on her tightened

and he held her tightly.

"Stop moving bitch!!! I still need you to take me to that safe, but first

business must be taken care of."

"No! Let me go! I'd rather not die today because of some bastard!!" She said

this harshly and Inuyasha was taken back by her comment. It must have caught him

by surprise more than he thought because she was out of his grasp and running in

the next instant.

"Get your ass back here!!" He grabbed his gun and dashed after her.

She was fast, but he was faster. He watched her run right into the area the first

shot had come from. He stopped dead in his tracks not daring to follow.

'Dumb bitch is gonna get herself killed.'

He got down on one knee and looked around the corner for the other group of men.

Just who exactly had sent them? Once again fucked over by someone higher up. He

looked for the men and spotted them tying up customers and employees alike.

It was a group he had never seen before and he racked his brain trying to think

who would have sent them.

'Shit no time for thinking.'

His eyes went back to where the girl was and she was trying her best to stick to

the shadows and stay low. 'Stupid wench.' There were men inside as well as

outside. He reached into his pockets for the shotgun shells and began to reload

what he had used of his ammo. He would probably need it all, they knew he was here,

but they were sure taking their sweet time coming for him. The sound of a gun

firing and the girl screaming made his heart race as his head shot up to look at

the spot he had last seen her. The plaster on the wall where the bullet had

exploded was cracked and falling onto the girls body on the floor.

'Shit! They shot her!'

His mind screamed at him and his anger began to boil inside of him.

'I should have held onto her tighter, this is my fault. Shit. Shit. Shit.'

He closed his eyes and rested his head against the wall. He had never been the

cause of a civilian death. This would most likely haunt his mind for all of time.

'Damn.'

A small cough behind him had him turned around and aiming to shoot. His heart

stopped in his chest when he saw who had been coughing. A small laugh escaped

his lips as he saw the girl kneeling on the floor coughing from the dust.

'Bitch is tough, that's for sure.'

He looked to see two of the men approaching her and once again his heart was

beating erratically.

'Well I guess it's time to call for back up.'

He reached into his pocket and pulled out a small walkie talkie.

"Miroku you there?"

He listened quietly, nothing but silence.

"Miroku? I need you here!"

Silence.

'Fuck don't tell me they already got you guys too.'

"We're coming in Inuyasha just do what you have to do."

He sighed in relief and put the walkie talkie back in his pocket.

Now he was going for the girl.

He stepped around the corner and raised his shotgun. He pumped it once and

shot at the man closest to the girl. The shot hit the man in the leg and he fell to

the ground screaming as blood began to pour from the wound. The other man

stopped in his tracks and aimed his gun for Inuyasha. He shot twice, and

Inuyasha dodged both of them. He looked at the girl and yelled to her.

"Run you stupid girl! Run!"

The man shot at Inuyasha again and he rolled across the floor missing another shot.

He propped himself up on one knee and pumped the shotgun taking aim at the mans

head. He pulled the trigger and watched as the mans head exploded against the

back wall and onto the girl. He pushed himself up off the floor and ran

towards the girl as new gunfire began to explode all around them. The girl seemed

stuck and her face was pale. He reached for her arm and pulled her roughly to the

ground behind a register.

"Listen wench you need to tell me where the safe is. The sooner you do that for

me the sooner this will all be over."

Her eyes looked distant and fogged over. He shook her gently and she still didn't

respond.

"Come on stupid!"

This time he shook her roughly and her eyes slowly came back into focus. She looked

at him with questioning eyes and he glared back at her.

"You get no answers until you tell me where that safe is little girl."

She looked at the man on the floor who had his leg shot off. His face was pale

but he was still breathing, his eyes were glazing over, and she had to hold back

vomit. Inuyasha grabbed her face roughly and turned her towards him.

"Where is it?" He said it slowly and stared directly into her eyes.

"It's upstairs in the conference room."

"That's a good bitch." He grabbed her arm and pulled her up.

"What are you doing!? You said if I told you it would be over!"

Inuyasha cocked his head to the side and looked at her as if she was crazy.

"I don't know if you are lying. To make sure you are telling the truth you are

coming with me, because if it's not where you said it is, you and I are going

on a little hunt."

Inuyasha pumped the shotgun once more and surveyed the area before making his

way to the stairs. He was basically dragging the girl behing him since she was

making no actual attempt to help him.

"Walk faster bitch."

He jerked her arm roughly and she grunted in pain as she stumbled forward.

"Could you please be a little more gentle?"

She rubbed her shoulder blade with her free hand trying to get the stinging

to stop. Inuyasha looked behind him and smirked.

"I'm never gentle, especially when it comes to bitches I don't like."

He saw the girls face become expressionless and he felt a twinge of guilt.

'Damn wench needs to know I'm serious.'

"You stop calling me a bitch and a wench too! The names Kagome asshole!"

"Good for you wench, but I really don't give a shit. Besides I already knew

your name was Kagome."

"You did? How?" Suspicion laced her voice as she continued to be dragged along.

He stopped them in their tracks and turned around.

"I SAID, how.."

"Shh....shut up."

Kagome turned and looked in the direction he was staring.

"What is it?" She nervously bit her lip afraid of what was there.

"Get behind me."

"What? Why?"

"Get behind me." His tone was more severe this time so she slowly made her

way behind him.

'What was there? And why wouldn't he tell her?'

Her eyes darted all around the dark hallway trying to see or her anything.

Inuyasha knew he heard something, but he couldn't tell if it was the sound of a

weapon or a demon. He perked his ears up trying to hear the same noise again.

A fast and hard punch to his stomach left him winded and doubled over as his

suspicions about it being a demon were confirmed. He stumbled back knocking Kagome

to the floor. She cursed when she hit the cold floor, but she was smart and

stayed down.

Another punch was thrown and Inuyasha's head snapped back with a loud crack.

"Fuck!!"

He lashed out with his claws scratching the demon across the face. With a quick

kick to the demons groin Inuyasha was quickly taking over this fight. The demon

threw another punch, but this time Inuyasha caught the fist and bent it back

listening as the bones cracked one by one. The demon fell to his knees in pure

agony. Inuyasha smirked at the sight before him, and he reached into his blazer for

his silver knife. The demon spit on Inuyasha shoes and silently cursed him.

"Burn in hell Inuyasha."

Inuyasha laughed bitterly and lowered the knife to the demons chest.

"I guess those are your final last words."

He drove the knife as hard as he could into the demons heart not once feeling guilty as he

watched the pain cross through his eyes. When his life was gone he twisted the knife and

pulled it out wiping the blood clean from the blade.

He stared at the girl on the floor watching how she stared disgustingly at the dead

demon.

"You can get up wench."

Her dark blue eyes connected with his amber ones and he saw a fire in them that

strangely made his heart skip a beat.

"The names Kagome."

She stood up and dusted off her back side groaning in disgust as the blood that was

all over her.

"Inuyasha."

Inuyasha looked around for where the voice was coming from. It sounded muffled.

"Inuyash you there?"

He looked down and saw the voice was coming from his pants.

"What the fuck?"

"Inuyasha it's Miroku, I'm on the walkie talkie."

He reached into his pocket and pulled out the small walkie talkie.

"What's up Miroku?"

"We need to get out of here now! The cops are gonna be swarming the building

in under a minute."

"Alright Miroku get our car ready. We're gonna have some extra company."

"You got it Inuyasha."

Inuyasha put the walkie talkie back in his pocket and reached out for Kagome.

She stepped back out of his reach and shook her head.

"No. No! I'm not going with you! You can't!"

Tears spilled forth from her eyes as she continued to shake her head.

Inuyasha reached out with lightning speed and crushed her to his chest.

"You are coming with me bitch. You know far too much, and you've gotten

yourself into some heavy shit. You won't be going home for a very long time."

Kagomes legs gave out from beneath her and she would have fallen to the floor if

Inuyasha wasn't holding her so tightly. Her sobs echoed off the walls surrounding

them. Inuyasha reached into his pocket and pulled out a small needle. He nuzzled

his face next to her ear and sighed.

"I'm sorry Kagome."

He stuck the needle into the back of her neck and she moaned in pain, but she was

quickly overtaken by numbness. Her eyes began to fog over and everything was taking

on a distortion.

Inuyasha watched her head bob up and down. He read her lips as one final word escaped,

before her eyes rolled back into her head.

"Why?"

There is chapter 3. It took me quite a while to put together, but
hopefully you enjoyed it!!! Once again not everything is perfect, but
