Marking...

Her eyes opened slowly as she looked around her vision hazy as she struggled to focus in the darken cave the fire already out beside a few branches that shimmered with light. The yokai male stood at the opening of the cave still, his arms crossed over his chest as he faced the outside world, shoulder leaning against the rock wall. Slowly, he kneels at the entrance, running his claws through the snow. She stood weakly limping as she waked toward him not even making it to him she fell to her knees letting out a weak cry. His ears twitch softly at the sound of the girl's movement, his head not yet turning until he heard her fall, "Stay still mortal... you're in no condition to be moving." He didn't face her as he spoke, crimson eyes still facing outward into the snow.

"...I won't make it.... the rest of the night... its to cold and my wounds haven’t stopped bleeding..." She stood again struggling. “.... I just want to stay by your side...."

Standing up he turns and starts to walk towards her, his crimson orbs slightly narrowed as he approaches the female. His hands pull off the his haori and throws it to her, "Put this on... I'll build the fire..." She nodded lightly as she pulled the shirt over her broken body soon sitting back against the wall closing her eyes knowing well not to say anything now. Turning his back to her he walks out of the cave and out into the snow, crossing his arms over his chest against the cold on his thin white yukata. Disappearing from her sight, he goes to get the wood. She stands weakly walking to the edge of the cave waiting for him to return her head resting on a boulder as her eyes trailed the scenery for him or any signs of life. Slowly out of the thick mist of snow and ice, a figure appears the demon male, arms filled with thick logs cut smoothly by his razor edged claws. Looking past the logs he sees the girl at the entrance. She sits silently before standing returning inside she could have risked escaping, but she had chosen not to. She had chosen to stay and wait for him.

Entering the cave he shakes his head slightly and twitches his ears, shaking the snow from his hair. "You actually stayed... I'd have ran if I were you mortal... you know what I'm capable of..." He says as he drops the logs by the fire and moves to a wall, leaning against it.

She knelt by the fire pit placing the wood inside as she rekindled the flame in the pit staring down watching the flames like the moist wood. “.... I know what you are capable of I have seen and felt it..."

His arms cross over his chest as he leans against the wall, his eyes watching her, the deep crimson narrowly showing. "Yet you don't run... you confuse even me mortal." Looking away from her he stands and moves to the cave entrance again, leaning against the wall.

She sat silently her eyes lowered halfway. "...Before you raped me I told you... I told you that I wouldn't leave that I would stay no matter what..."

His legs bend at the knees, kneeling down and looking into the snow again as the girl speaks, his ears twitching atop his head. "Keh..." came the hate filled voice of the yokai, not truly caring what the girl had to say, more angry at himself that he had marked her which left him not willing to kill her.

“.... Tomorrow morning I'll cook you something if you catch a rabbit or anything else I'll cook it for you..." She stood slowly as she walked to the rotting hay laying down closing her eyes.

Sitting down, he leans his back and head against the wall at the entrance of the cave. No words came from him, nor did a glance go from him to her, keeping his eyes focused on the outside world, the world of ice and snow. She curled into a ball her eyes closed as she feel into a dark slumber her body shaking lightly from the cold that nipped at her naked flesh that wasn't covered by his haori. Why can't I just kill her!? What's stopping me!? He thinks to himself as he stares out at the frozen landscape, his eyes closing as he drops his fist to the stone floor with a small thud. She's just a mortal! What is this that keeps stopping me... why can't I just kill her..? Her eyes open slowly feeling a bit of light across her face as she pushed herself up weakly sitting against the wall as she looked up seeing a few holes in the cave ceiling that showed light.

The male's ears twitch slightly at the sound of her body shifting around, eyes remaining out on the snow. Great... she's awake again... he thinks to himself before opening his mouth to speak, "What are you doing awake again mortal?"

"...Its morning am I not allowed to be up...?" She spoke staring up to him weakly. His eyes close as he keeps his attention on the outside world, growling to himself quietly as the girl speaks, though his mind urged him to teach her a lesson, something wouldn't let him touch her. "Keh... whatever, rest will heal your wounds but if you'd rather be up then fine."

She nodded lightly as she lay her head down on the hay sadly. "...I will rest then." Standing up slowly he moves back inside the cave towards the fire pit, keeping his eyes on his target, not bothering to look at her because every time he did that feeling kept tearing at him, a feeling he didn't understand, a feeling only the hanyou trapped within knew. She looked up to him as he walked back inside her stomach letting out a low growl showing she was hungry.

Kneeling down, he begins to put more wood on the fire, keeping it burning strong as he looks towards the girl, his ears twitching at the sound of her stomach. Great... mortals have to eat every day... "Are you hungry...?"

"...I can wait." She spoke almost above a whisper her eyes closing halfway as she stared into the fire.

Yea... I wish... "Keh... I'm going hunting, just sleep 'till I get back." Standing, he turns his back to her and starts towards the front of the cave now that the fire was strong again and heating the inside of the cave nicely.

She watched him get up her eyes closing finally. "...Thank you Inuyasha."

His ears twitch once more as he hears her words, his eyes closing as he walks out of the cave and into the snow. Keh... whatever.... She moved around finding she was unable to rest any longer She stood walking to the edge of the cave knelt down waiting for him to return. About an hour's time passes without a sign of the yokai, until finally the man appears within her sight again, a large animal thrown over his shoulder. Looking towards her, he kneels down and wipes the blood from his claws into the snow. She stays silent as she watched him soon standing up walking to the fire kneeling down. Walking into the cave he slowly makes his way down towards the fire. Kneeling slowly, he drops the skinned and gutted animal carcass on the ground.

"...I can cook it since you caught I want to pull my weight as long as you keep me alive..." She spoke sincerely.

Laughing somewhat coldly he stands and walks over to the wall, sitting against it with his head leaned back, "I wouldn't expect any less wench, you didn't expect me to catch and cook for you did you?" She shook her head as she got up walking over kneeling in front of the carcass started to pull bits of meat from the deer sliding them on sticks placing them near the fire. Crossing his arms over his chest, he watches her cook the meat, his eyes closing slowly as he leans back, trying to make himself comfortable, finding himself growing somewhat tired. She stands slowly walking to him kneeling in front of him. His eyes open, looking up at her with the deep crimson seeming a slightly lighter shade, "What?"

"Here its the fruit of your labor you hunted you should eat first.”

"I'm not hungry right now... you go ahead and eat..." he says slowly, letting his head droop back down so his chin rests on his upper chest, giving off a soft yawn. She nodded lightly as she moved sitting beside him eating quietly. She finished quickly resting her head on his shoulder. His eyes closed still, his breathing slows, making it obvious that his body had slipped into a slumber despite his attempts to keep himself awake. She smiled a little as she cuddled close to his body galling asleep against his warm body. His sleep was a silent one, allowing his body to recover a bit more, his hanyou side becoming prominent again, claws fading back to their normal length slowly, eyes behind lids returning to the soft gold. She wiggled around soon slipping down her head resting in his lap now her sleep deep and resting peacefully. His body becomes relaxed, a small smile appearing on his lips, showing his normal length fangs. Quietly, he sleeps, his arms resting at his side. She stayed silent hours seeming to pass now as she rested with him. The longer time he rested, the more his body had a chance to heal, his wounds beginning to heal up and become better. His scent changed from that of a full demon back to that of the hanyou within, his body making the full transformation. Her eyes opened slowly as she sat up rubbing her eyes as she started to wake from her slumber.

Her movement causes him to stir somewhat, his body moving slightly, sniffing of the smell of cooked meat, "Mmm something smells good..."

"...Its just the deer meat still cooking..." She spoke not noticing his voice had changed.

Slowly he sat up and reaches over his head, stretching out his arms with a small yawn, "Deer?" Slowly, he opens his eyes, the soft gold of his orbs shimmering in the firelight. "Who killed the deer...?"
