The Adventures of a Missing Fluffy (aka the wanderings of Rin)

Quick Notes- Sorry for the insane chapter last time and the break between postings. I had to go to a land without internet for a little while.

Synopsis- Rin goes wandering and Sesshy protects (hooray!).

**Sorry guys, I’ve forgotten to do a disclaimer for the past few times. I do not in any way shape or form own any part of Inuyasha! But If I owned Sesshomaru….I would umm…nevermind.**

Remember…
SESSHOMARU WANTS YOU!

Rin yawned and rubbed her arms vigorously. Why was she so cold? Sleepily she patted her side to pull the fluffy closer to her, so that it tickled her nose. Her hand groped the earth beside her, but no fluffy was to be found. Curious, she rolled over to find that Sesshomaru, her lord and blanket, were nowhere to be seen. But where could he have gone?

Brushing the dust off of her kimono, Rin walked over to where the fallen Inuyasha still slept. It was a restless sleep, she could tell, his brow was furrowed and sweat beaded on his temples. Rin gasped; a single tear was trailing down his face while his body began twitching. Gingerly she approached the hanyou and stroking the silver hair, caressing the ears that were now flat against his head.

“Kagome!” He sobbed, and bucked up against her hand. He snapped his head up and began licking Rin’s hand and arm, finally sinking his teeth into her palm.

“Aaiiee!” Rin screamed and pulled her hand back. Only one fang had punctured through, and not too deep at that. She wrapped her hand in a small strip of cloth she found in her pocket.

“No, Kagome! Please come back!” Inuyasha trembled in his trance even more violently. So he had thought that she was Kagome! The poor soul. Rin watched until Inuyasha finally settled into a less lucid state of dreaming.

Sesshomaru! Rin finally remembered what she had originally gotten up for. He couldn’t have gone too far. His earlier ordeal had looked painful, even for her lord’s pain tolerance. Perhaps he had run up this trail to have a look around the site. She sighed. It wouldn’t hurt to look around a bit. Perhaps she would even pick up a bit of information to help him out.

It was a flash of green, standing apart from the stone outcroppings. Rin squinted to get a better look at it through the haze that was starting to settle in. It was a green fabric, pleated like a folded fan. It kind of reminded her of Kagome’s weird bottom clothing from her era. She thought it was called a skirt, but couldn’t be sure. Rin continued to walk towards the skirt, where she noticed a white top that looked eerily like the one Kagome used for her uniform. It was spattered with blood and grime, and was torn across the bust. Rin’s pace quickened.

“Kagome?! Are you there, are you alright?” Perhaps there was a hotspring nearby. She had just gone to wash herself of battle. That had to be it. “Kagome?!”

Not ten paces later, Rin was stopped dead in her tracks. The blood flushed out of her body, and her world started to spin.

“Aaaaah! Sesshomaru-sama! SESSHOMARU-SAMA!” Rin had seen dead bodies before, but this was different. Vision’s of Kagome’s mutilated and ravaged nude corpse danced in her head mingled with those of her own family being tortured and killed as she began to fall backwards in faint. She did not see the great white ball of energy whose hand cradled her head and shoulders, preventing her skull from meeting the ground. Sesshomaru looked questionably down at the young woman that he held in his arms.

He sighed. He knew letting her stay onsite with him was a mistake. Gently, he ran his claws through her hair. What had happened though? No matter how trivial, he would have come to her anyway. Pointing his regal profile to the wind, he sniffed it. Oh yeah. He looked over his shoulder. Kagome’s body. Oh boy. His ningen girl was tough; he knew that from the stories of her past. She had seen dead bodies before. Why was this any different? Effortlessly he moved her beyond the rocks, so that the scene was hidden by darkness and stone.
