Growing Up

Wow I am surprised at what you guys said in the reviews, it takes a lot to surprise me too so you guys/ladies who did reviewed should be proud!

Lol, any way I got bad news. Willie Wonka escaped out of my bedroom and now I can’t find him! But at least he was nice enough to leave those pictures… (Cough) But anyways I will let you read the chapter now since I have to go out and find Mr. Wonka

Chapter 3: New threat

Sesshomaru’s head was pounding when he slowly regained conscious, and the loud voices around him did not help the growing headache.

Golden eyes snapped open and took in the surrounding quickly, looking for any sigh of danger. His was headache forgotten for the moment.

The 10 year old was in a large round cave filled with rowdy demon wolves who were wrestling, talking, singing, or eating god knows what by the fire in the center of the cave. Servants were scattered through out the cave looking lost or annoyed at there kidnappers.

The demon child noticed right away that there were twice as many demon wolves in the cave, to many for him to fight against with out a sword. And these demons didn’t carry weapons except for a few daggers used to gut and skin their food.

“Sesshomaru?” A soft voice asked by the demons side. Sesshomaru turned his gaze to Inuyasha who was sporting a rather large bruise on his cheek and sitting and closely as possible to Sesshomaru with out touching him. (An incident in the past taught Inuyasha never to touch a sleeping Sesshomaru)

Anger filled Sesshomaru at the sight of the bruise. Who would hit a two year old? How dare they?! Inuyasha may have been a half breed but he still was of higher stature then all of the demons (except the leader) in this cave.

“Ugly mutt get away from him” A snotty voice ordered, Sesshomaru looked up at the demon child who was standing with his hands on his hips glaring at Inuyasha. (Can you guess who it is?)

“No stupid go away” Inuyasha growled and climbed to his feet and glared at the blue eyed wolf demon who a head taller.

Sesshomaru had never seen Inuyasha try and glare, it looked more like a pout actually then a glare. Then his eyes went over and examined the wolf child who resembled the leader quite a bit.

“Mutts should go away and leave the pure breeds alone” Inuyasha bared his tiny fangs. This also was new to Sesshomaru, Inuyasha no matter how mean Sesshomaru was to him never bared his fangs or showed any sign of anger. He always smiled…

“Shut up stupid” The child ignored Inuyasha and looked at Sesshomaru, the 10 year old noticed the red blush the stained the child’s cheeks when his blue eyes landed on him. Could this wolf actually have a crush on him?

“Hi I am Koga, Lord Keiji’s son” Koga said shyly. Inuyasha felt himself getting angrier but he didn’t know why.

When Sesshomaru’s gaze didn’t leave Koga a feeling of panic filled Inuyasha, his older brother was paying more attention to the wolf then him. Did Sesshomaru like him more?

Inuyasha glanced at Koga, sure Koga was strong but he was mean! His big brother wouldn’t like someone mean would he?

‘Sesshomaru is mean’ Inuyasha thought and felt his eyes widen ‘big brother will like him more because he is mean and I am not!’

Inuyasha sniffed trying not to cry, Sesshomaru didn’t like it when he cried for being stupid. Though Inuyasha never thought he was being stupid, Sesshomaru normally did.

“The ugly mutt wouldn’t let me wake you up earlier” Koga said after Sesshomaru didn’t say anything. The wolf demon shot the half demon a glare then smiled sweetly at Sesshomaru. “He makes a great punching bag, and if my father did not call me you would have been woken up hours ago” the wolf demon began rambling about meaningless things.

Sesshomaru simply ignored the child and looked at his brother. Inuyasha looked dejected with his arms limp and head hung low so his bangs covered his bright eyes. What Koga said explained the bruise on Inuyasha’s cheek; there were most likely more bruises on Inuyasha.

“Inuyasha” Koga stopped mid sentenced and glared at the two year old who had taken away Sesshomaru’s attention.

The toddler looked at Sesshomaru and tried and failed at smiling. The 10 year old mentally sighed at himself for what he was going to do, but it had to be done. Plus it would kill two birds in one stone, Koga would go away and Sesshomaru could see how hurt Inuyasha was.

Sesshomaru grabbed his brother’s small hand and pulled Inuyasha on his lap. Koga growled but like Sesshomaru predicted he stomped off clearly angry that Inuyasha was getting more attention.

“Do you like him more?” Inuyasha asked while watching Koga walk away to the opposite side of the cave. Sesshomaru leaned against the stone wall behind him and remained silent.

“Take off your kimono top” Sesshomaru ordered, Inuyasha jerked his head around and looked at Sesshomaru. He didn’t want to take off his clothes in front of strangers, even though they weren’t watching them.

“No”

“I said so”

“No”

“Inuyasha I can’t see how hurt you are if you don’t do as your told”

“…No”

“….” Inuyasha squeaked as his brother began undressing him, (A/n: Something that will happen often in the future, mawhahahaha! Ok I am done) and escaped his grasp.

Just as Inuyasha was going to start running Sesshomaru’s hand shot out and grabbed his ankle making him fall with a thud to the hard ground. But Inuyasha wasn’t going to give up there; he kicked and clawed the ground as Sesshomaru dragged him back to his lap.

“No big brother!” Inuyasha yelled earning a few stares from the demon wolves that had nothing better to do but watch the brothers.

“I am not arguing with you Inuyasha” Sesshomaru growled he was becoming annoyed with his brother, but he was stubborn also and was not going to let the half breed beat him.

“Let go, you, you big meany!” Sesshomaru felt his lips twitch upward, this was kind of fun wresting with Inuyasha. Maybe when the half breed was older they could spar…

Cold golden eyes caught sight of the wolf crowd that had gathered around and glared at them.

“Do you mind?” He snapped making Inuyasha go still and look up at his face. “Unless you have something to say leave” the 10 year old ordered just like his father would.

He wolf demons grinned but went on with there business (what ever that was) and left the two brothers alone.

With out another word Sesshomaru pulled off Inuyasha’s kimono top and examined his brother’s bruised body. The toddler giggled when Sesshomaru felt his ribs to see if any were cracked or not, but besides that he remained silent.

Izayoi watched her sons from a distant and smiled slightly. She would have been with her sons instead of on a hay pile that was suppose to be a bed if it weren’t for Keiji who refused to let her leave the bed.

It made her slightly nervous; she had no desire to be with any other man but her husband. But surely the wolf leader would not take her in front of so many people. Right?

The wolf leader who had been sitting next to her rambling on and on about random things stopped when he sensed the humans nervousness. His blue eyes scanned her still form, but the human refused to look at him.

“You want to know why I brought you here, don’t you.” Keiji asked. Izayoi turned her head and looked at the demon lord, sure that had been on her mind and she had even asked him before but he refused to answer.

“Yes” She said, her black eyes locking onto Keiji’s blue ones.

“Well let’s see how to say this” Keiji pondered for a moment before smiling. “Inutaisho and I go way back, we knew each other as children. That’s why his tribe and mine always got alone and never needed any treaty.

But as of late I have not been able to get a hold of InuTaisho, normally this would not concern me for his lands are bigger than mine and require more attention and time. But…” The wolf demons looked down at his hands and hesitated before speaking again.

“…there has been a demon that is growing power quickly, he concerns me greatly. This demon came to my cave one day and asked for our alliance. At first I thought he was some arrogant demon, for he had no title no people no bodyguards. I thought he was a nobody until he proved how much power he had.” The leader shuddered at the violent memory.

“So you kidnapped my sons, servants, and me to get my husbands immediate attention” Izayoi asked, Keiji nodded.

“But why not just stay at our home and wait for my husband to return? That would have been much simpler”

“I know but I could not leave my territory for long. So I left half of my strongest men hereto protect my land, while I and my weakest traveled to your home. I was so afraid my people here would be slain I brought Koga with me incase” the black haired demon looked up and to his son who was sitting by the fire scowling.

“Wolves mate for life; once our mates die we do not mate again. I cannot afford to lose my son” Izayoi looked at her sons and nodded showing she understood. She had no reason to believe Keiji, but then again she had no reason not to believe him.

So far no one had been hurt, except Inuyasha who got in a fight with Koga (Keiji saw this and summoned his son, scolding him for hurting those weaker than him) And all her servants were being entertained and fed, though it wasn’t the most tastiest looking food Izayoi ever saw.

“Daddy!” Inuyasha’s voice yelled and the cave became silent. Everyone stared at the dog demon standing at the door way.

Inuyasha escaped his big brothers arms and ran to his father’s warm embrace. InuTaisho picked him up and held him tightly, but the smile on his fathers face disappeared at the sight of seeing his youngest sons bruised up body.

The toddle jerked his head back when his father touched the bruise on his cheek.

“Ow daddy that hurts” Inuyasha said and swatted the clawed hand away with own tiny hand. The demon lord looked at his oldest son who was standing holding a golden kimono top.

“Are you hurt?” Sesshomaru shook his head and turned his gaze towards Keiji and Izayoi. The dog demon followed his sons gaze.

“Keiji give me one reason I should not kill you” Inutaisho asked the wolf leader in a cold deadly voice that made even his servants tremble.

Inuyasha whimpered in his fathers arms and tried to shrink away, his father was very scary at the moment. While Sesshomaru just stood watching his father, it had not been the first time he had seen his father angry. The only thing that concerned him was that Inuyasha was whimpering.

The wolf demon smiled and stood up “Why because I had the chance to ravage your lovely wife here,” Keiji gestured to Izayoi who smiled weakly at her husband “but I restrained myself knowing you would not be pleased if I did”

Izayoi also stood now and walked towards her husband, no one tried to stop her in fact everyone moved out of the human’s way.

“It is good to see you again husband” Izayoi smiled warmly at Inutaisho whose eyes almost immediately became warm and friendly.

“I am guessing Keiji had a good reason to kidnap you?” Izayoi nodded, and the demon lord sighed. Something told him his already stressful life was about to become even more stressful.

Sesshomaru listened silently to his father and Keiji, who were discussing the new demon threat. His father had been impatient and decided to talk about recent events while traveling home.

The 10 year old was grateful he was not riding the dragon demon like Izayoi and Inuyasha; this meant his father no longer thought of him as a pup. Speaking about pup, where was Inuyasha?

The demon child looked back at his stepmother but his half breed brother was not in her arms like before, and there was no sign of him among the servants and wolf demons who decided to tag along.

Where did the toddler disappear to? It was beginning to get dark if Inuyasha became lost it could prove difficult to find him.

Sesshomaru let the other demons pass him so he could seek out his brother more easily since he now had space.

Inuyasha hummed as he picked the flowers for his mama. After passing by them Inuyasha could not resist, so he slide off the dragon and waved at his mother who gave him a puzzled look.

They were very pretty wild flowers that smelt even better. And the best thing was is that no one would scold him for picking flowers. (He can’t pick the garden flowers since they are for decoration)

When a shadow covered Inuyasha the toddler looked behind him and up at his older brother who was scowling.

“Here” The pup said and handed his older brothers pretty yellow flower, Sesshomaru reluctantly took it from the small hands.

“You have drifted behind Inuyasha, father is nearly a mile down the road” The 2 year old looked down the road where his mother and father had gone.

“Uh-oh” The 2 year old said and looked up at his older brother who was scowling slightly. Inuyasha smiled and got up off the ground, he was planning on just walking back to his mother and father but his older brother stopped him.

“It would be quicker if I carried you” Sesshomaru stated and lifted the tiny child up careful not the crush the flower he just received. And without another word the 10 year old sprinted after his father with a giggling pup in his arms.

Inutaisho looked back, he knew Inuyasha drifted behind but did not think much of it knowing his oldest son would fetch him.

Those two made an interesting pair; maybe he should have them mate each other? Incest was not an issue among dog demons long as the demon married outside the family every other generation.

And as for a heir, that was not something that had to be worried about ether. Male demons long ago as a survival method learned how bare children. (Females were short for a long period of time in the past)

So his sons could have children, and the way Sesshomaru was holding his brother at the moment seemed to show he did care for Inuyasha.

‘It is something to think about, only time will tell if they do fall in love with each other’ The demon lord thought then looked at Keiji who was giving him a knowing smile.

“I think they would make a great pair” he whispered than said a little bit louder “Your son has a fine ass like his mother”

That earned the wolf a punch in the jaw
