Thou shall bow before the power of thy Dog: Part II
Last Time on So Cold:
Ryuukotsei waited until he was sure the boy was calmed down from his fit. Bangs spun from the light beams of the moon settled once again, covering the symbol on his forehead, casting a shadow over eyes that still burned with the raging bonfire of his demonic soul. Leaning down, the dragon laid his thumb on the clasp of the collar, he whispered to his dog.
“Get ‘em.”
A deep frightening snarl erupted from the chest of the boy.
The collar came off…

Thou shall bow before the power of thy Dog
Part II
The attack was so fast all that the Vampyre and Werewolf could do was dodge, barely escaping with the skin of their teeth.
Reno brought up his baton and the sharp note that sounded through the clearing registered in everyone’s mind. Roll dodging and counterattacking with the titanium wand, making the strong youkai’s claws to rebound, Reno did all that he could. But the pup refused to let up.
::Roll, now.::
The werewolf listened to his partner, and surely as soon as he did he heard the snarl, then the sound of the bullet reached his ears. Glancing up, Reno saw the pup grabbing his left shoulder, dark red blood spurting down his arm and over the grass.
The boy turned towards the armed Vampyre and restarted his attacks; every now and then not fully evading a bullet.
The Ryuu ninja’s joined the fight, but none could get past Reno and his beast’s fighting skills.

The battle was astounding, even from a distance. The sounds, the color and the tactics; all of these and more Kagome caught sight of. She felt scared for her mentors, but the demon caught her eyes like nothing else; his skill at such a young age and his salient techniques. But it was more than just his fighting that caught the child’s eye, it was his beauty. Grace, stealth, balance, animalistic yet holier-than-thou; he was a very interesting creature.
He was perfection. And she felt every fiber of her being reach for him; to be like him.
Yet still she watched as he continued to attack and torment her guards; she studied him even as he easily killed many of his allies if they came too close. He wasn’t one for team power obviously. She could sense the coldness in his being, and the darkness in his youki.
Suddenly, too suddenly for her likes, Kagome felt the hair on the back of her neck stand on end. Goosebumps covered her skin like velvet fur. She knew she needed to move from her spot, but she was paralyzed from fear. She could feel her own aura shift and the absence of color in it frightened her even more. Silently she wished for a miracle.
A black armor-like covered chest seemed to materialize in front of her; the scent of ice cold waterfalls underlined by dragon’s blood musk filled her sense of smell. Strong warm arms gathered her and leapt high into the canopy of the small forest. Soft shoulder length, stringy dark silver hair brushed across her cheeks. She looked up into her captor’s face. A pair of blue eyes much like her own stared down at her. He had a handsome face, a dark and rough beauty. So very much the same yet so very different from the demon trying to kill her comrades below. She could see in his eyes an evilness about him; a dark almost insane look to him; an inner insanity, controllable. But he wasn’t evil in the sense of the Dragon Lord Ryuukotsei; but more like pitting evil against evil. He would be the good evil.
Kagome felt herself sink into his odd cold warmth. Opening her mouth, she started to ask his name, before being quieted as he placed a finger over both her and his own lips.
‘That’s right,’ Kagome thought absently, ‘my Goosebumps haven’t disappeared yet.’
The young Lycan watched as her dark knight pointed down directly below them. Inquisitively, she took a look.
Talking about evils, the Dragon Lord stood underneath their tree, sniffing quite heavily; panting almost.
“I know that scent. She was here! She was here!! Where is she!?”
The insane chatter of the demon made Kagome scoot closer to what she now saw as her savior, deeper into the warmth of him.
“I will find her! I will have her!!” Suddenly the Ryuu was level with them. Kagome quickly arranged the male’s arms around her like a shield; a form of protection they were. Sure enough, the Dragon seemed to not be able to see them and as soon as he was there, he was back to the ground and venturing back out to the battlefield.
A shiver raced down her spine as she watched the crazed demon take his leave. Looking up again at the male kind, soft eyes gazed down at her.
“What’s your name mister?” she asked innocently enough in a whisper.
A dark brow raised almost as if in amusement or question.
“My name’s Kagome Strife.” She stared into his eyes, the sounds of the battle in the clearing nonexistent until a painful roar filled the air, causing the young lycanthrope to turn towards it.
What she saw chilled yet awed her at the same time.
Reno was on his knees holding his side and the young silver youkai attacking his owner, who had wounded the werewolf, with a swift strike; rendering the Ryuu unconscious. The rest of the ninja’s laving long been massacred.
Strong arms surrounded her again and soon, in one blink, they were on the battlefield themselves. Kagome didn’t even see as her handler put her companions effectively to sleep. Amber orbs lighted on her and instantly were set ablaze with a wondrous fire. Kagome was immediately caught in the twin pools; and she suddenly became hyper aware of the sky starting to open to wash away all the blood. She became aware that she was alone with two males not of her Clan. But there were many things she also missed. The Lycan pup even failed to see the eye connection between both silver haired boys and their nods before she felt pressure at the base of her neck.
A sound of protest came from the back of her throat as darkness began to invade her sight. Before the comfortable oblivion of sleep took over her mind she heard the black clad male whisper in her softly tipped ear, nibbling it lightly.
“My name is Kadaj.”
His face was forever imprinted in her mind, right next to the other silver haired demon.
A/N: I hope you like this chapter. I know its not as descriptive as the other two, but it was a short one just to introduce Kadaj into the mix. Um, just review please. I kind of want my reviews and hits to go up, so I might update many times over the Christmas break. I hope. But, yeah...
