Part 3: Yet Another Suprise
Kagome placed a sacer of tea in front of Kouga and sat at the chair across from him.
"So Kouga, how were you able to pass through the Bone Eater's well?"
Kouga looked at her for a moment and then started laughing. Kagome felt her cheeks burn and humiliated. Kouga quit laughing and looked her in the eye.
"Sorry Kagome. I didn't pass through the well like you did, I have been alive in this time for quite sometime now."
Kagome looked at him in shock and then mentally slapped herself.
"Wait, you've been alive for 500 years!!"
Kouga grinned and nodded. Kagome let out a sigh then suddenly perked up.
"So do you know what happened to everyone? How many kids did Miroku and Sango have? Is Sesshomaru still alive? And how about InuYasha?!"
Kouga stiffened at the mention of InuYasha's name. He didn't have the heart to tell his little miko the truth about her friend.
"Miroku and Sango had five kids. Three Demon slayers, one monk, and the last one became Ginta's mate."
Kagome's smile widened.
"So Ginta took a human mate? So what about Hakaku?"
"Hakaku mated with Ayame and they had 2 pups."
Kagome squealed with happiness and smiled at Kouga.
"How about you, Kouga? Do you have a mate?"
Kouga stiffened a bit then relaxed. He took Kagome's hand in his and smiled at her.
"Kagome, I've waited all these centuries for you. I want you to be my mate."
Kagome's jaw hit the floor as she stared at Kouga. His eyes held hers for an eternity.

He growled with fury as he watched the wolf proclaim his love for his woman! How dare he! He had Kagome first and he would be the only one to have her. He licked his lips at the thought of how her flesh must taste and feel.
"Soon my sweet, Kagome. Very soon!"

Kagome gave Kouga one last hug and wished him a goodnight. He said he would come back to visit her soon. She was sad to see him go, but she needed some time to replay everything in her head.
'I've waited such a long time, Kagome. I love you.'
Kagome sighed and headed to bed. She needed to sleep the whole matter over.

Kagome swore under her breath as she rushed to school. After everything that happened last night, she had overslept.
"At least I'll make it for my afternoon classes."
She rounded the corner, but came to a hult. Her heart suddenly stopped in her chest. A feeling she hadn't felt in years seeped its way through her body. She felt the pressence of the jewel. A lump formed in her throat as she looked around. Panic over took her as she frantically searched for the source of the jewel.
"W...where..."
Something grasped her by the shoulder and lifted her in the air. Kagome let out a scream and kicked at her attacker. It was a possessed orge demon. She tried in vain to hit the demon so that it would release her. The demon gave out a harsh howl and readied itself to finish her off.
Kagome squeezed her eyes shut. They quickly flew open as she felt the demon let go and she fell to the ground. However her impact was hulted by a pair of strong arms. Pieces of the demon fell to the ground. Kagome felt relief rush through her as she expected to look upon the face of Kouga. Instead, she stared into the golden eyes of the once cold Sesshomaru.
"S..Ses...Sesshomaru?"
He smiled down at her He set her to the ground and gave a polite nod.
"It's nice to see you again, dear Kagome."
