A/N: Just sit back and enjoy the ride cause it’s gonna be a fluffy story
Anniya followed Inuyasha into a hut in the village up ahead. Sango’s scent was strong that it almost overwhelmed her. Anniya gasped when she saw her little sister. She was not the Sango she had known, the Sango sitting before her was a full grown women. “Sango, this lady’s been lookin’ for ya” said Inuyasha in a gruff voice. Sango nodded and stood to get a closer look at Anniya. When she looked into her sisters eyes she gasped “It, it can’t be” she whispered. Anniya frowned “It most certainly can” she said with an indignant humph. Sango now had tears in her eyes “Anniya, is it really you sister?” she thought. Anniya nodded and the tears slowly fell from Sango’s eyes “I thought I’d never see you again Neesan “she cried into Anniya’s hair. Anniya held her sister for what seemed like forever but then she realized that something didn’t seem right.
“Sango, where is Kohaku?” Anniya asked as she wiped away her tears. Sango’s body tensed at the question and she began to shake with uncontrollable sobs. “I’m so sorry Neesan” she wailed as she sat back down. Anniya followed after her and pulled her into a tight embrace “You have nothing to be sorry for” she whispered soothingly but it didn’t seem to help, it just made things worse. “Yes I do, I broke my promise. I promised that I would look after him, but Naraku is so powerful. He took him Anniya, He took Kohaku” she grew silent after that.
It finally dawned on her that someone had kidnapped her little brother. “You didn’t break your promise to me Sango because I know that you fought, I know that you tried, and I know that you’ve been looking for him haven’t you?” she asked softly. Sango simply nodded to tired to speak anymore. Anniya smiled “Sleep Sango” she said simply and fell asleep. Anniya laid her down, kissed her on the forehead and let her sister have some much needed rest. “Tell me, who is this Naraku character that has stole our brother from us?” she asked the people in the room.
And so Anniya sat there in the small hut and listened to them tell their stories about how they came to know the monster that is Naraku. About how he gave the Monk Miroku the wind-tunnel in his palm, and killed the priestess Kikyo, and raided the demon slayer’s village, kidnapping Kohaku in the process. Anniya glanced over at Sango again “My sister had truly grown splendidly; she’s been through so much. I feel like we abandoned her but now I know how she feels for our mother had done the same to me.” Anniya said sadly. The monk was the first to speak “So how is Sango your sister?” asked trying to make light conversation. “She is my half sister, I only have one blood sister and she is my twin. She and I got separated somewhere once we entered the gates of time. My mother is a Queen but she is also know throughout the galaxy as a whore. She’s slept with many men and has had many children. But unlike most whores she knows the father’s of each of her children. Sango’s father was a nice man, I remember him well form my childhood.” Anniya allowed a small smile to grace her features. “You are in love with her aren’t you Miroku?” Anniya asked him still smiling. Miroku merely nodded yes to her blunt question “You are a good match for her but it would be helpful if you didn’t grab her so much” she said with a snicker. Miroku’s face turned a bright shade of crimson.
“Why were you all sent back through time?” Kagome asked Anniya with a friendly smile. Anniya sighed and looked over at her sister again “Our mother is overly protective, there is a war that is starting to get out of control my mother wants us to have no part in it. It all started when Sango was about three, I’m surprised really that she still remembers me. Most children don’t remember things from such a young age” she said sadly. There was a pregnant pause were Anniya just sat staring at Sango, but it wasn’t like before. This time it was more as if she were studying her instead of watching her.
“I can’t believe I just realized that” they heard her mutter under her breath. Anniya walked over to her sister and looked down at her face and scuffed. “What haven’t you noticed?” asked Miroku hesitantly as they all watched the women closely. “She must have truly felt abandoned to have hid these” she said more to herself than the other people in the room. “Hide what?” Inuyasha asked curiously. Anniya seemed to realize then that they were watching her “Sango isn’t technically human, I can’t believe you never realized this” she ran her hand over Sango’s face without touching it. When she put her hand back down they all saw that she was right. Sango wasn’t a human; she was a half-demon. She had claws, fangs, and two black with white tipped dog ears.
They just sat there in shock at Sango’s new appearance until finally Kagome spoke up. “You mean this whole time she’s been a hanyou?” she asked her voice filled to the brim with confusion. Anniya nodded “My poor sister. She’s been hiding her true form, discarded her royal weapon, and doesn’t even have enough respect to wear her tiara” a wave of pain and hurt shot through Anniya’s body. Not being able to control her anger and pain she walked out leaving her sister asleep on the floor of the priestess hut. “Anniya!” Kagome screamed after her but Anniya wasn’t coming back for awhile.
Anniya walked around for what seemed like hours not sure in which direction she was going. But finally a familiar scent caught her attention ‘Sesshomaru’ she thought and decided that she would follow the smell. A few minutes later she found Sesshomaru sitting down next to a large oak tree. He looked at her and after a couple seconds her nodded to her unasked question. Anniya sat down next to him and pulled her legs close to her chest “You seemed troubled” came the silky voice of Sesshomaru and she simply nodded before she spoke. “My sister had dishonored her family. She has been going throughout her whole life hidden behind the features of a human; she has discarded her royal weapon, and hasn’t worn her tiara. I was right she is no longer the Sango that I knew” she said clearly although her mouth was pressed against her clothing.
She gasped when she felt Sesshomaru’s hand lifting up her face. She blinked “Don’t let it trouble you so” he said kissing her softly on the lips before he got up and left. Anniya sat there not really sure what to do or say so she nodded dumbly. “Rin and I will be staying for one more day, if you wish to travel with us I have no objection to it” she said with a smirk before he left.
