Kiss
Chapter Three
"So what did you do then?"
"She was stupid and released him." Sango sighed. She knew it had only been a matter of time before someone started asking questions about Kagome's time traveling. Yukina was sitting on the couch with them totally engrossed in the miko's tale.
"Hey." Kagome scolded her. She was glad that she had released Inuyasha. "If I wouldn't have we never would have met." She continued her tale for the girl.
Sango sat back and listened to her talk off their time together in the past. She smiled as some of the comments brought back memories. It all seemed so long ago, now almost all of them was in Kagome's time thanks to the well malfunctioning. Her eyes turned to see Kuronue looking in her direction, a blush crept up her face. Since they'd decided to stay at Genkai's and let the woman train them, Kuronue had been there. He was always watching her, it made her very aware of him. They had spoken a few times but usually it was about Kurama.
She didn't know if he would ever come back. Then again Kurama had never made any promise to her. Out of the three times they'd been together he'd only been gentle the last time. But she also knew that if he had wanted to have sex with her he wouldn't have had any choice. Not so soon after what happened to her. She'd told him how she felt but he had never said that he cared for her. That one time was the only time he'd shown any sign of caring. Had it been just a means to assure that she gave him what he wanted? The thought hurt but it was still a strong possibility. Kuronue marking her had been an accident, something uncontrollable. If Kurama wanted her or cared why would he leave her? He hadn't even said goodbye.
Had she meant so little to him that he had no problem walking away from her? She didn't want to admit it to herself. Yet every morning she woke up alone, having to spend another day alone. Well she wasn't alone but he wasn't with her.
Both girls had asked Genkai what to expect from the mark, best to be prepared. The old woman had said that they would feel a slight pull towards the other person. Yet nothing would happen if they didn't want it to. Sango let her eyes land on Yusuke next, that left her puzzled. He'd shown up last month that one day. Since then he'd hardly left at all, she was sure it had something to do with Kagome.
He had offered to help Genkai in training Kagome. Sango had watched the two together during training and wondered if Kagome was simply overlooking the obvious. Just this morning Kuronue had said something confirming her suspicions. He said he was leaving the room because the smell of the boy's arousal was too much to bear. At first it had simply shocked her, she couldn't smell anything. But at closer examination she'd seen the proof of the boy's arousal. She was suprised Kagome hadn't noticed it but then again this was Kagome.
The friendship between the two was quickly growing, it didn't look good. Sango had heard the threat Hiei had issued the boy. If things kept going this way she was sure he would make a move. Her poor friend seemed ignorant of it all. She knew that Hiei had only been with her one time so naturally the girl wouldn't be aware of it when a man desired her.
She knew Kuronue desired her, she saw it in his eyes. Everytime he looked at her it was there but he kept to himself. He never went out his way to touch her or flirt. Which she greatly appreciated. The pull was there for her also but she didn't want to do anything about it. Her heart belonged to the man that had left her.
She got up from the table to take a shower before heading to bed. Kagome continued to talk to Yukina while Yusuke stared at her like a lovestruck school boy. It made Sango want to smack him over the head. Miroku stopped her in the hall on her way.
"Ah Sango, are you going to shower?"
"Yes, why?"
"Well, I was thinking of taking one myself. We might as well jump in together, to save water." His hand reached out and grabbed her breast. "I could wash your back for you." A menacing aura and a fierce growl caused him to yank his hand back.
Sango turned to see Kuronue walking towards them with a dark look on his face. The houshi made his escape while he had the chance. "Thanks, for a minute I thought I was going to have to deck him." She looked in his face when he stopped beside her. When he didn't say anything she tried to get his attention, her hand landed on his arm.
He turned to her with an intense look in his eyes. She knew what he was about to do but didn't move. His head lowered his head, his fingers grabbing ahold of her chin forcing her mouth up. Her eyes closed at the contact, his lips were soft and pliant. When she didn't pull away he deepened it, applying more pressure. His tongue dipped out roaming over her lips, a moan escaped him when they opened inviting him inside. He explored her until she began to return the kiss. Her body was pulled against his, his hand caught in her hair.
The scent of her arousal caught his nose and he pulled back from her. Her lips were swollen as she opened her eyes to gaze up at him. "I'm sorry." He let her go and walked away leaving her alone.
Sango wasn't sure what had just happened. Why had he kissed her and then stopped? It hadn't caused the same excitement she felt when Kurama kissed her. But he had still managed to get a reaction out of her body. It was time to take a shower and head to bed, no need to worry about it now.
