It looks like the pairings will be Hiei/Kagome/Yusuke, don´t think that I have seen this pairings already and sorry, but no yaoi. This is already a challenge for me but I´m not ready to write Yaoi. I have already many ideas in my head but it will be necessary that I will have to change some facts from the original series. You will know what I mean.

The story don´t have a particular genre. I plan on mixing almost all genres. Before the real fight starts I wanted for Kagome to have some fun (in both ways) and so she will do what a normal young women of the age of twenty do, when they are living in a metropolis like Tokyo. I won´t reveal to much. Here is the next chapter, enjoy:


New allies and lost love


It was almost thirty minutes later as the guys still waited for Kagome to get ready. Why do women take so long to get ready, that is a question that men will always have to wonder. Kurama stood right in front of the goshinboku and Hiei were somewhere on an branch of it, probably taking a nap. Kuwabara and Yusuke sat on the stone bench near the tree. It was weird, they all felt calm there, maybe it was the influence of that tree. Kurama touched the spot where Inuyasha was pinned for 50 years. Yoko could still feel foreign energy on the tree. 'Oi red, what do you think who that person was that was pinned here. Feels like an inu hanyou'? Kurama was thinking the same line 'I think you´re right Yoko. Maybe we should ask Kagome about it. You seem to be a little exited? Why'? asked Kurama with amusement in his voice. 'What do you mean? It was boring enough to find nothing in Makai and here is the perfect opportunity to have some fun. Don´t you think this is a puzzle? What happend to that hanyou, who sealed him here or who freed him. Finally something interesting here to solve'! Hiei snorted from the branch on wich he was resting. The fox always found something interesting or funny even if it wasn´t. But the arguments in Kuramas head was amusement enough to hang out with them. And yes, boredom was deadly, that he could understand.

At the same moment Kagome appeared and they all turned to her. She was dressed in a red spagetti top and a long black skirt with slits on either side. She wore knee-lenght boots and a long black leather coat. The trained eye could see her katana that she tried to hide in the coat. Her long black hair was still lightly wet and in a high ponytail. She looked sinply beautifunl but her eyes reflected her anger. Why was she angry now? She answered the question promptly.

"Take your hand off of that spot or you have to adapt to a life of an one-armed man! No one allowed you to touch it"! Her anger seemed to rise as Kuramas hand still rested on the spot. He was unprepared for her anger and was dumbfounded at her outburst. Hiei saw the shock on his face and tried to help him 'fox, it would be wise to do what she says, seems like something personal'.
By hearing Hiei´s voice in his head Kurama pulled himself together and retreated his hand, eyes still an Kagomes angry ones. At seeing his move Kagome calmed down and took a deep breath. "Look, I´m sorry to appear waspish but this day wasn´t one of my best and that spot you were touching is very important , almost holy to me and I won´t let some noisy foy to defile it. Don´t take it personal but I know the nature of foxes". With that she glared at Yusuke, she had heared him snort at the 'appear washpish' part of her statement but he was smart enough to be silent. Still looking at him she said in an annoyed voice "well, what aare we waiting for? Take me to that Koenma, I want some answers"! Yusuke gritted his teeth and called for Botan. Kagome was suprised as a pretty and cheerful girl with a weir aura appeared and opened some kind of portal. At seeing her expression Kurama said"that is Botan, she guides the souls of the dead to the spirit world. This portal will take us to Koenmas office". She just shruged and thought, 'I´ve seen weirder things' and followed him through the portal.

Now there she stood in some kind of office, looking down on a cute baby who sat in an easy chair behind a desk. She got the feeling that they were kidding her. That was until the baby started to speak " Welcome Kagome Higurashi, guardian of the shikon no tama. It is a honour to finally meet you. I´m Koenma, leader of the Rekai". Ok, now Kagome was starting to freak out. "What the hell is going on! And why the hell can you speak! You look like you´re barely out of diapers"! she yelled. At that point Kuwabara and Yusuke burst out laughing. Kurama tried to hind his amusement behind a cough and Hiei just leaned against a wall with closed eyes and a smirk on his face. Koenma was annoyed, no one showed him the respect that he deserved, so he started again. " You should know that an appeareance can deceive but back to the current problem. I know of your trips to the sengoku jidai, the well and what happened there but I wasn´t allowed to interfere. Not until you came back for good. The only thing I hadn´t access was your last fight. Please tell me what happend then and I will give you all answers you are seeking". Kagome was shoked. That toddler had spyed on her and knew of the existence of the jewel. She cannot trust him but there was also no need of lying. Does Kuwabara and the other guys also know of her past? But if they knew, why would they be so quiet and seemed to listen so intently. "We managed to destroy most of his youkai and some detachments from him but then he absorbed Kagura and Kanna. That made him to powerful and we would definitely be dead if not Kikyou appeared and helped us. In an silent agreement we puryfied him together with our hamaya. She was very powerful but she spent her remaining power to destroy the hordes of the youkai woh were sill on the battelfield. Then she dissolved and could finally rest in peace and I was forced back to my own time at the same moment". After digesting her answer he told her of the three realms and the barriers. "You see" he continued "we still don´t know how but some youkai succeeded to get into the ningenkai and they´re after the power of the jewel. You already destroyed them but that´s not all, I was informed by a reliable source that there is a very powerful being which will try to get the shikon no tama. The bad thing is it´s more powerful than Naraku could ever be and we are not able to locate him. The detectives will be your new allies. You have to work together because you will need each other against this enemy. The future of the three realms depends on you all. It can´t be allowed that the jewel falls into the wrong hands. Now tell me, where is the jewel"?

At that point Kagome took one step back and looked him dead in the eyes. She used again that cold and calm voico "Tell me Koenma, why should I trust you? How should I know that you´re not my enemy or some sick fool who wants the power of the jewel for himself? I have protected it over a year now all alone. I don´t need you or your detectives. Give me one good fucking reason why I should trust you and not just fucking purify you and destroy this place. You know that I can do that". At her threat Yusuke, Hiei and Kurama get into a defensive stance but Koenma just sighed. "You have every right to mistrust anybody and I´m kind of pleased of your reaction. The jewel didn´t choose you as his guardian because you´re the reincarnation of Kikyou. No,....you are so much more and the last descendant of the great miko Midoriko-sama". At her suprised look he continued "yes, I knew this, too. To convince you that my intentions are honourable I invited someone you have trusted with your life. Talk with him and then you can decide if you want to work with us". Kagome was still stuned, no one knew that she was the descendant of Midoriko, no one besides her and..

She hadn´t finished her thoghts as a door opened and someone entered the room. Her breath caught in her throat and she thought her heart missed a beat. She was so afraid that she was wrong, that this presence wasn´t the one she wished to be. Slowly she turned to him and there he stood, his beautiful golden eyes looked back at her saphire ones. Without thinking she run to him and throw herself into his waiting arms. She couldn´t hold back her tears anymore and sobbed into his chest. Gods, how she had missed him and his scent. She hold tightly on him, afraid of loosing him again as he whispered "drop your maskings" and she let her ki and scent masking spells with a small smile down. So, he missed her scent, too.

The other males in the room made a sharp intake of breath. They couldn´t believe how much power she possessed. The demons had also to fight the effects of her scent. It was so pure and the smell of lavender devine. What was more important, the girl was still untouched.

Kagome slowly looked up into the beautiful golden eyes which hunted her in her dreams. She touched his cheek softly and whispered "Sesshoumaru, I have missed you", stood on tiptoes and kissed him with all she had in her heart. He met her with equal passion and for that moment they revealed in their own small world.

So, what do you think? Suprised? The next chapter is 'Devastation and decisions'. It will be a bit depressing and with a twist in the story, I had no choice in this.
