Bleeding Tears of the Past

Kagome's eyes widened in shock, "W-what...?" she asked, her voice still choked by tears. Tears stained her cheeks and her still more flowed from her eyes. "Inuyasha--You don't mean that." Kagome shaid shakily, staring up at him with chocolate brown eyes. Her hands gripped his shirt tightly, pulling her close to him. 'Even if it's not true.. I will always love him..." she said, shaking her head gently.

Inuyasha sighed; he knew Kagome wouldn't beleive him! "Kagome, I love you.." he said again, pulling her head to his chest. She gave in without a fight. He could feel her warm tears penetrating even his thick haori. "Kagome..." he muttered, placing his hands around her face and lifting her chin. His golden pools swirled with many emotions, but what shined through to Kagome was love.

"What of Kikyo?" she had to ask. It was something that had been plaguing her mind , preventing her from allowing her own love to show through completly. Watching his face contort into a scown she looked down, knowing that it would have been best to leave her be. "Kagome... Kikyo's dead." Kagome's head shot up again, "The creature that Urasue created was not the woman I loved; she died fifty years ago." Kagome couldn't stop the smell grin that appeared across her lips.

Inuyasha couldn't help but smile as well; for once he had said something right, something that had made Kagome happy. He couldn't help himself. Slowely, he closed the space between him and Kagome and lightly kissed her lips. He could feel her tense but she quickly relaxed, 'Good... She trusts me again...' Her acceptance made him bolder, and he pushed deeper into the kiss, parting his own lips to rub his tongue across hers. He heard her let out a squeek of surprise.

He persisted, wanting to taste her fully. Finally, she gave in, allowing herself to once again trust this man that had tried to.. to.. She couldn't even think about what he would have done to her if Sango hadn't come when she did. She parted her lips allowing him to taste her. She found herself to enjoy his kiss; she loved him and always would no matter what he did.

Finally, she required air and pulled away. He let her go and watched as she panted, regaining her breath. "Kagome, I told you I loved you..." he stated calmly, staring deeply into her chocolate brown eyes. "Inuyasha..." she whispered, putting her head once again against his chest, happy that he had excepted her and that he was no longer a lust seeking demon.

"Shouldn't we head back now?" Kagome asked, looking up gently, her chin still against him. "The others will worry." she didn't state why; she was sure he knew. A grimace formed on his face, "I know..." he said, and gently scooped her into his arms; they had to make it back to camp quickly before the others came to find them. With a leap that took absolutly no energy he was speeding across the tree tops, Kagome in his arms. She giggled, happy to be moving so quickly again.

With another heavy bound Inuyasha landed silently in front of the hut. "We can go slow this time Kagome..." he whispered before setting her down. She smiled gently up at him, her eyes glowing in a happiness he hadn't seen for hours.... Everything had happened quickly, but now he was glad that Kagome was happy again. Without a further thought he grabbed Kagome's hand and pulled them through the reed door.

Sango and Miroku looked up immediatly only to find Kagome smiling and happy and Inuyasha looking the opposite direction. The two were holding hands. " I take it thing went well?" Miroku said, snatching up the Tetsaiga. Kagome nodded happily and grinned boadly, "I'll have to tell you about it later, Sango." the school girl said out loud and Inuyasha changed to a bright red color. "Aw, come on. It's nothing to be embaressed about!" Kagome swung his hand in a childish fashion and he grinned sheepishly.

Sango and Miroku laughed and Shippo snored; he had fallen asleep awhile ago. "Well, I'm glad you feel better now." Sango said, getting up to walk to her friend. Kagome reluctantly let go of Inuyasha's hand in order to receive the hug of congradulations. The disgruntled, flustered demi-demon muttered something and quickly sat down in the corner, trying to become unnoticeable. Of course, tha twasn't going to happen.

Miroku slowely walked over to Inuyasha, sitting next to him, "So." Inuyasha looked at the monk suspiciously, "How far did you go with her this time." Inuyasha once again turned red. With a grunt he pounded Miroku on the head with his fist. The monk fell over, "Ow!" he held onto his head and Inuyasha turned away, "Now why would I tell you that?" he said, finally answering. The monk merely snickered knowing that something good must have happened.

"Inuyasha, I'm gona go with Sango to the Hot Springs." Kagome stated, looking over her shoulder at the disgruntled half-demon. She was already carrying a towel, extra cloths, and her other bathing supplies. Inuyasha merely grunted, showing his acknowlegment of her words. "Be back soon. And please, keep Mirokus away." she said happily before walking out of the hut, giggling with Sango on the way out. Inuyasha eyes her; it was dark out and it was dangerouse...

As soon as they left Inuyasha jumped from the hut, "Unable to resist, eh Inuyasha?" Miroku asked, following him. "Hentai. It's dark and I need to make sure she's okay. That doesn't mean I'm spying, you moron." Miroku merely smiled at the honyou's answere. "Yes, yes." Inuyasha glared at him, before leaping into a tree where he could hear the girls talking and be sure they were safe.

Miroku continued down the path, continuing on his way towards the Hot Springs. "Don't even think about it Monk." came Inuyasha's warning, and he could be seen, completly shadowed, only his back lightened by the moon light. In truth, his appearnace scared Miroku. "Fine." with that he disappeared back inside. Inuyasha snorted , 'She's mine.' the honyou thought, listening to the conversation of the two girls.

"So, he kissed you?" Sango asked, giggling slightly as Kagome retold the stort. The schoolgirl nodded gently, her face tinted pink, "And hentold me that he loved me and that we could take it slow." Sango smiled at that, "Guess that means I don't have to try to take of his head again?" Sango laughed and Kagome joined in. "I don't think he'll try it again." Kagome said, a slight grin still gracing her features.

"So, what about you and Miroku?" Kagome asked and Sango turned away, "I-I have no idea what your talking about!" she was a horrible liar. "Oh, come on. I told you about me and Inuyash!" Sango finally gave in and grinned slightly, "Well.. I suppose... I do like him." a blush crossed her features and Kagome laughed. "So, when are you gona tell him?" Sango looked up quickly, gazing into the chocolate brown eyesof Kagome that were so familier now.

"I-I don't really intend to..." Sangp blushed again at this and looked at the water that she sat in. "Well, we'll just have to work on that some other time." Kagome grinned and Sango's lips curled into a sheepish smile. Sudden;y, the demon slayer looked up, a scowl on her face, "But now, it seems as though we have a peeping TOM!!" with that she threw a rock into the bushes only to find a little monkey, "You know, there seems to be al lot of monkey's around these days..." Kagome stated simply, looking down at the unconciouse beast.

"Hmmm... That was uneventful." Sango stated blanly, glaring around the trees, "Now watch. One of the boys will come running." Kagome stated, her eyes half narrowed. "You know, we really should learn no to yell." Both nodded in agreement as, sure enough, they heard footsteps running through the forest. Both girls hid themselves behind towels before he could arrive.

Just as Kagome finished tucking the corner of the towel Inuyasha appeared over the bushes, his ears perked and his eyes intent, "You okay Kagome?" he didn't move from his spot. The demon slayer couldn't help but giggle at how protective the demi-demon was and how Kagome remained completly uneffectred when he came to see her when she was bathing. "We're fine Inuyasha."

Inuyasha glanced around the treetops and scowled before turning around and sitting near the bush; he had a bad feeling about this. "Is he really gona sit there the whole time we bathe?" whispered Sango, and Kagome sighed and nodded, "I doubt he'll peek though." With that the girls resumed their bath.

I bet your all complaining because there's no lemon. Well, you shall have to live with it because I don't think Inuyasha and Kagome are ready for it yet. Anyway, I'm sorry for taking so long to update but I felt sick and I ran out of inspiration for awhile. ^^
