Chapter 3
(A/N: Sesshoumaru is written OOC for a reason. He'll snap in for a while though, when they find out what's going on with Kagome.. It's NOT Inuyasha's pup she is carrying... but it is someone she knows, but he's not from the past. Sesshoumaru sensed that she and Inu mated, but you'll see what's going on!!)
Inuyasha woke to brilliant sunlight shining through the trees. The whole outlook he had now seemed to be washed clean by not only the rain, but by his tears. He felt hurt by a scent he'd caught on Kagome. It was one he'd detected when she was ill one time. The boy who came to her house, was in her room. He didn't mind it at the time, but now he'd caught a definate twist on the other male's scent.
He tried to sit up, and the arms around him tightened.
"Mmm.. do you have to wake so early?" The sleep fogged voice startled Inuyasha. "I'm warm."
Inuyasha looked at his brother and cocked an eyebrow. Feeling his brother holding him close was indeed nice. It was a pleasent change from the usual behavoir he showed. Inuyasha was enjoying the treatment, but it would have to wait.
"Sesshoumaru, as much as I love your change of heart and all, I really need to get up." The older demon released him. Inuyasha stood and realized he wasn't dressed in his own clothes. He saw them hanging by the dying fire. He walked over to them and touched them. They were dry now. He pulled them off the branches and walked over to a secluded part of the small clearing. There was a small heated pool near by, but Inuyahsa had other pressing matters to tend to.
Inuyasha was fixing the tire on his kimono when Sesshoumaru appeared. The look on his face clearly stated he'd been worried. Inuyasha had taken his time in tending to things he needed to. He watched in shock as Sesshoumaru disappeared behind a tree. Quickly he turned his back and moved away a few steps. Sesshoumaru, however, broke the uneasy silence.
"So, I take it you know that girl's secret?" Inuyasha could hear the anger in his brother's voice.
"Yeah, but I don't fully understand what's going on." Inuyasha stopped and blushed. Though he felt closer to his brother, he didn't quite feel like sharing is love life. "I mean, well.. we did, but..."
Inuyasha cut off when he felt Sesshoumaru's arms wrap around him again. His older brother's hands slid to his waist. He felt the breath catch in his chest, neither able to inhale or exhale. Then, to his utter shock, he felt a pair of warm lips brush against his neck.
"I understand, Ototo. Don't let yourself hurt over her. You should have learned with the first mortal. Care to join me in the bath?"
Sesshoumaru stipped off his clothes and then Inuyasha's. He pulled Inuyasha into the warm water.
"Sesshoumaru, I-I am enjoying your change of attitude to me, but I'm shocked. Why...?"
Inuyasha was abrubtly interrupted by a loud scream, then the feel of Sesshoumaru's hands desperately trying to catch him before he went too far under the water.
