Desire of the Heart

Kagome was checking her pocket calendar when she made a gasp.



“Oh no!”



Sango looked at her friend in wonder.



“Kagome, what’s wrong?”

“I’m too far away from the well to go home, my friend is coming.”



Sango looked a little confused but worried for Kagome.



“Kagome, maybe we should tell InuYasha that you have a friend visiting you in your own time and that you forgot about it. There is no reason for you to be so upset.”



Kagome looked up from her pocket calendar and smiled. She forgot that some of her expressions are lost on her friends from the feudal era.



“Actually, it’s not a friend…”

“Kagome I don’t understand, you specifically said that your friend was coming.”

“I know. I forget that some of the slang that I use is not easily understood here. It’s my cycle. It’s coming. I feel the cramps and the icky feeling within me now.”

“Oh, well, we have some herbs for the pain associated with your cycle.”

“Do you happen to have any maxi pads or tampons?”

“Maxi pads, tampons?”

“Um, something that will protect your clothing from staining.”

“Oh… well you’ll just have to settle with what I use. You know my friend comes to.”



With that witted reply Sango winked at Kagome. Kagome smiled and accepted the toiletry that Sango handed. The two of them then set out to see if the boys finished getting breakfast ready.



Shippo jumped up on Kagome and gave her a big hug.



“Good morning Kagome, good morning Sango.”



The two girls responded with a hello back to him and the boys. Shippo sniffed the air around Kagome.



“Kagome, you smell different.”



Kagome blushed; she just washed herself last night before bed.



“Do I smell bad Shippo?” ‘If he says yes, I am going to die right here.’



Shippo blushed some as he kept inhaling Kagome’s scent. He almost started purring. He was in a happy state.



“You smell really sweet Kagome, more than usual. I can’t say what it reminds me of though. But it’s really sweet.”



“She’s in heat idiot! That is what you smell on her. I smelt it in the air when I transformed.”



With that outburst everyone looked at InuYasha. He turned really red and cursed under his breath. ‘That stupid kid, he’s a fox demon, he should know that aroma. It does smell really good though, I’m glad that my clothing is lose other wise they all might see my arousal. I need to put some distance between me and her, just to regain control of myself.’



Miroku smiled. “That explains a lot.”



Sango looked at Miroku. “What do you mean?”



“Think about it, InuYasha and Shippo, well they are both canine associated. What do dogs smell on a female?”



Sango’s eyes widened as she pinkened a little.



“That’s right, they smell Kagome ovulating. She is ready to conceive children in her present condition.”



Sango ran over to Miroku and covered his mouth. One look at Kagome told him why she did that. Kagome’s face was reddening to the point of bursting in embarrassment. After that thorough explanation of Miroku’s no one spoke of Kagome’s condition. They continued the hunt for the Shikon jewel shards and for Naraku. They knew that there were only a few more shards left. They also knew that Naraku had almost the entire jewel shard. Besides theirs there were may haps two left to attain.



After walking for a while Kagome had felt hot pangs of pain slice across her stomach and back. Beads of sweat popped on her brow. She doubled over. She tried not to draw attention to herself, but she couldn’t help it the pain was too intense. InuYasha picked her up and carried her on his back.



“InuYasha I’m fine, let me down I can walk.”

“Your in pain Kagome, however, I have a cure for that.” He purred.

“What?”



InuYasha growled. ‘Damn, get yourself in order how stupid can you be to say that out loud.’



“InuYasha I asked you a question.”



He stopped and so did the others.



“You guys go up ahead; I just need a moment with Kagome.”



Miroku smiled devilishly, Sango and Shippo looked at him confused.



“Come on Sango, Shippo, they need a moment together.”



InuYasha put Kagome down. He turned to look at her. She blushed. He was looking at her strangely. Her heart skipped a beat. InuYasha could see the flash of her throat as her blood quickened by his gaze on her. He pulled her to him in an embrace. He pressed her close to his body. So close that she felt something stir on his person. Kagome pushed him down.



“Hold the phone! InuYasha your behaving so…so strangely stop.”



Kagome held her cheeks that were red in embarrassment. ‘Was that what I thought it was?’



“What was that for?” InuYasha growled. He got up and before Kagome knew it he was on top of her. They fell to the ground with him cradling her body to his.



“InuYasha what are you doing to me?”

“I’m helping your pain.” He raspily said into her ear.



He rubbed his frame on top of hers massaging every muscle in her body. He held her underneath him to where she couldn’t run from him. He breathed heavily into her ear after taking a break from the deep kiss he put on her. Again he crushed his lips to hers drawing up the sweetness that was in her mouth. Enjoying the feel of what they were doing he began to rub harder against her body. His member pressed against her thighs creating friction. He couldn’t help himself; the scent of her heat was driving him mad.



She closed her eyes to the heated sensation he placed on her. It was like he cast some sort of spell on her or something. She felt warm as the electricity between the both of them traveled through their bodies. Her breathing became labored as she mounted to excitement. Clutching on to his body hers moved with him against all reasoning. As if willingly her body contorted to fit into his. The pain she felt earlier was forgotten, only hot blood ran through and soon her body released the tension that caused the pain. Her body shook with pleasure.



InuYasha watched her while he rested on his elbow as she finished having her pleasure. She was flushed. His mind was dizzy with the scent of her but trying to control his urges to take her right there. He couldn’t submit to his animal instinct. He thought if he fought against demons and won he could be strong in this too. But it was too much. He was too weak.



“Did we just…”

Kagome stuttered with shock.



“Humph, don’t insult me Kagome, if I pricked you, you would not have to ask me.”



Kagome looked away from him blushing.



“Well, what happened then? I…I don’t… understand.”



“I generated heat with our bodies to make your pain go away. I manipulated your body to cause you to have… pleasure.”



“Did you enjoy it?”



InuYasha stood up annoyed.



“Damn it Kagome, I would have to be dead not to enjoy it, you’re in heat! It’s like giving catnip to Kilala. ”



“So, is that the only reason why?”



However, Kagome didn’t give him a chance to say anything else. InuYasha growled as he saw Kagome looked down with shame and ran ahead of him back to the others. He slowly walked behind, trying to calm himself down before he does something to embarrass himself and Kagome. All he wanted to do was mount her and take her over and over again until he passed out. He entertained the thought for a moment.

‘If I don’t put some distance between us I am going to take her, she wouldn’t fight me long though, she didn’t fight me now. I could have claimed her and she’d let me.’



InuYasha had to shake the images forming in his mind as he approached the group. He thought that maybe they should stop for an hour and eat lunch. He was hungry. But it wasn’t food he wanted. Kagome was thankful for this reprieve. However, she thought that he was still upset with her for what she said to him because his voice was thick when he barked his order. She approached Sango and asked if there were any herbs she could take to take the bite off of her pain.



“Didn’t InuYasha take care of that?”



Kagome blushed.



“Yes he did, for now, but I don’t want him to take care of my pain again.”

“What did he do?”



Kagome told Sango and Sango looked a little surprised but, thought that she needed to tell Kagome what was really wrong with InuYasha.



“Kagome, InuYasha isn’t mad at you, don’t be ashamed. If he was mad it wasn’t because of you it was because he couldn’t mate with you.”



Kagome felt better after Sango explained to her what Miroku said, but now she had to question herself, would she let InuYasha bed her. What would happen if they did. Her mind started putting images of the scene of them moments ago. Again she flushed as she remembered how his hands raked against her body. And even though they were fully clothed she remembered how hot he was to her. She released again just thinking about it and was blushing when she felt two shards coming up on them fast.



“Guys I sense jewel shards coming our way!”



Miroku and Sango stood up Shippo and Kilala just looked in the direction they smelt the demon coming from. InuYasha already standing in front of Kagome possessively growled.



“Yeah, its Koga damn his hide he smells Kagome.”



He turned and looked at Kagome fiercely his hair fluffier than normal. His fangs snarling. With a thick low hum in his growl he said to Kagome:



“Kagome, I swear, so help me if you butt in. Don’t protect him for he’s here for you. Don’t protect him Kagome, stay with Miroku and Sango.”



Then he looked to them, and made sure that they understood he meant what he said.



“And if she should disobey me don’t interfere. Don’t be sending Kilala to take her home either because she went against my orders.”



This was the most feral that they’ve ever seen him. None of them knew what to make of it. Shippo jumped up into Kagome’s arms.



“Do you think InuYasha has a fever? He is not acting himself today.”



Kagome didn’t answer him. She shook with an almost primal fear of InuYasha at the moment. However, at the same time it excited her. She couldn’t explain the feeling he was evoking in her. However, he sensed her present condition.



Koga pulled up to a complete stop in front of InuYasha.



“Move out the way puppy, it’s time that Kagome come to where she belongs, with a real demon worth her virtues.”



“Why you good for nothing flea bag. You’re not going anywhere with Kagome…”



He pulled out his Testsuaiga.



“And you’re handing over your jewel shards too.”



“Oh so then it’s a battle for her is it?”



Koga rushed at InuYasha missing him; however, InuYasha already drew first blood. Koga looked down and noticed that InuYasha already snagged one of the jewels. He got up and attacked him again. This time he punched InuYasha in the face hard. InuYasha wiped at his blood after licking some off smiling wickedly. For nearly thirty minutes this battle went on and the longer it took the more painful it was to watch. The group has never seen InuYasha fight this way before. He was totally animalistic and showing no mercy. He was giving Koga a beating.



Koga fell to the ground with a loud thump. Cuts and bruises littered his body. Not to say he didn’t give his fair share to InuYasha. It was like they were almost equaled, but there was something else to InuYasha’s battle that Koga did not possess. Koga however, didn’t understand what that something was.



InuYasha was about to deliver his death blow when he sank hard into the ground cursing into the dirt. Kagome had used the sit command and interfered. Miroku tried to hold on to Kagome. She broke free from his hold and began to run toward Koga but didn’t get far. Miroku already hoisted her up onto his shoulder kicking and screaming at him. She pleaded with Sango to help her but Miroku made it clear to Sango that if she interfered with what he was doing he was going to have to deal with her before she dealt with InuYasha. He then told her to kill Koga if he attempted to take Kagome. Sango picked up her weapon and sat on Kilala doing as Miroku had ordered.



“I’m sorry Kagome, but InuYasha told you not to meddle. Koga has the last jewels that we need.”



“He doesn’t have to kill him though!”



“Its not only about the jewel shards Kagome, Koga is here to take you with him. Think about it. If InuYasha is acting strangely to your cycle, think about what Koga might do to you. He will not show you the same restraint that InuYasha has.”



Kagome paled with that thought. However, she quickly pushed that thought aside. Koga would never hurt her.



“Oh Miroku, Koga’s always saying he’s going to take me, Seeing InuYasha attacking him so ruthlessly, I…”



Koga looked at the monk who was carrying Kagome. His teeth set he picked up the jewel shard InuYasha took from him. He tried to calculate if he would be able to get to Kagome, but he saw Kilala and Sango waiting for him to approach. Their intent was to follow the orders and kill him.



“Koga if you know what is best for you, you would leave now, take the reprieve that Kagome has given you and flee. For when InuYasha gets up you’ll have hell to pay.”



Sango had said sternly.



Koga looked at the monk and then looked at the demon slayer then at Kagome hefted up on the monk’s shoulder. ‘Damn I lost her to this dog, he’ll mate with her for sure now.’



“I’ll come back for you Kagome no matter what, you’re my woman!”



Koga inserted the shard and ran off in the opposite direction. InuYasha was just coming up from his command. Livid, he strode over to Miroku who had Kagome. Miroku put her down and before Kagome’s feet touched the ground InuYasha had her and strode off. Miroku sat with Sango on Kilala’s back holding on to Shippo while he kicked and screamed.



“InuYasha, don’t you hurt Kagome or you’ll have to deal with me!” Shippo piped. InuYasha looked murderously at the fox cub and Shippo hid behind Miroku. Kagome was scared, really scared. Before she was able to say anything to InuYasha, he had sprung up and had both of her wrists in one hand and had her pinned to a tree. Her lower portion was straddled on his other forearm. He pressed in real close to her face.



“I thought I made it clear to you not to interfere?” he hissed low. His eyes were shining dangerously.



“I’m sorry InuYasha, but I couldn’t let you kill Koga.” She whispered. He was really close to her. He had her sitting on his knee now, but he still held her hands in place.



“Well, I’m going to teach you a lesson about wolves Kagome. Remember, I may be a dog, but my ancestors still lie with wolves. I still have that carnal instinct.” He snarled into her ear savagely. It made her shiver; however, she couldn’t tell whether she was scared or excited to be this close to him.



“If Koga got to you he would have mated with you, do you want to be bedded Kagome?”



He asked her while his one hand roved her body rather boorishly. He squeezed her breast in his hand and swirled her stomach into knots. He stroked her legs rather hard as his hand pushed away her soft cotton panty and found the silky fur between her legs. She gasped.



“No…”



She shut her eyes and winced at the pain he was causing her, but, at the same time it didn’t hurt.



InuYasha began to nip at her neck and tightened his hold on her wrist. The animal that he was trying to keep contained was sneaking out. He knew he would never in good conscience hurt Kagome, but the way he was feeling right now, he wasn’t so certain.



His finger pushed through the soft mound of her person and he felt the wetness escape around his finger. The scent of her heat filled his nostrils. He heard her moan. His ears were bent back in submission as he continued to delve deeper into her recess. She writhed against his hold and it caused him to become more brutish in his response. He bit into her neck causing her to yell. He didn’t bite down to hard to cause breakage in the skin but hard enough to make her scream. However, he couldn’t hear her. His hand began to move faster as the excitement built up in him. Her scent was making him wild. He sucked on her neck leaving his mark.



“InuYasha…you’re hurting me …please?”



At this point her hands were deep into his hair pulling him toward her one moment then pushing him away the next.



“Take off these accursed beads Kagome.”



Kagome was confused for a minute. The sweet sensations coursing through her body had stopped. She felt the foreign instrument within her. She looked around her surroundings and noticed that her skirt was hefted up and tucked behind her and her shirt was up and her bra removed. She noticed too that his shirt was off and there were claw marks on him. Then she heard what he said, ‘take off these accursed beads Kagome.’



“But Inu…”



He shoved his finger within her forcefully making her gasp with pain and pleasure.



“If I don’t finish what has begun you will feel a lot of pain Kagome, take off these beads, your not going to interfere again.”



He growled against her neck making gooseflesh down her spine. He licked her neck and her head rested against the tree in passionate agony.



“I can’t…you could…”



He did it again rougher still. She was at the brink. She knew if he stopped she was just going to die. He had to release her. He was the only one who could.



“InuYasha, I can’t release you…you know this is harassment!”



InuYasha smiled and manipulated her body again and brought forth a moan from Kagome.



“Did you want Koga to do this to you?”



“No...Please stop InuYasha.”



Kagome pulled his head to her chest and rubbing against him harder



“Do you like what I am doing to you Kagome?”



“uhum.”



“Take off the beads Kagome, I promise you it will be alright. I can make this stop if you take the beads off.”



She complied with his demand, slowly, hesitantly. He smiled wickedly.



“I hate you InuYasha, I will never forgive you.”



She said with tears slipping from her eyes. He didn’t want to look at her, but it was for her own good. She needed to stop interfering with his battles.

He finished the job, releasing her from the tied up tension that he caused within her. She screamed with tortured pleasure, he had to cover up her mouth with his hand to keep her from gaining the attention of Miroku or Sango, even Shippo. He still had their scent and knew they were close by.



She shivered against his form cursing him for his punishment and fell limp in his arms. Still clutching the beads within her hand he put to right her clothes. He carried her over to Miroku and Sango and put her down gently on some soft grass and let her keep her thoughts. She needed it. He saw the fury that was in her eyes but at the moment he didn’t care, he had to go and appease himself. He for all that time had to take control of his body; it took everything within him to keep from taking her savagely with all he had. But the time wasn’t right for him to put his scent on her. He was working her. It was instinct. He had to make sure she was solely his.



He looked toward Miroku and told him he needed to go swimming he’ll be back in a while. Miroku nodded in understanding. Sango couldn’t even look at InuYasha. They watched the scene that had transpired between Kagome and InuYasha.

It didn’t help that Miroku explained to her what InuYasha was doing and why.



When InuYasha left and was out of ear shot Kagome began to rant and rave.



“How could he do that to me? He must not respect me…He made me take off his beads with black mail! He must not care for me at all!” Finally she broke out with some tears.



“Kagome, he tried to teach you a lesson. You interfered when he told you not too. Had Koga gotten to you he would have done worse.” Miroku put in. Kagome blushed.



“Did you see...”



Miroku shook his head to indicate that he saw everything. Kagome hid her face and blushed tremendously crying more. ‘I hate InuYasha, how could he embarrass me like this. Yet Miroku and Sango are acting as if this type of thing is normal.’



“Well why didn’t you stop him Miroku?”



Now it was Sango’s turn.



“Look Kagome, I am not going to say that I agree with his methods, but he was trying to prove a point. Koga would have raped you. Do you understand that? InuYasha had to fight Koga for you. It’s the way things are you can’t change that.”



Shippo then got into the conversation.



“Kagome, why was InuYasha mad at you and felt like he needed to punish you?”





“Because I disobeyed him__ but he was about to kill Koga.”



“Yes I was, and I would have killed him too for your sake. Damn you Kagome I outta…”



He snarled. He wanted to shake her. She still didn’t understand.



“Didn’t you learn anything from my punishment today?”



“You call that punishment. I call that harassment. You took advantage of me InuYasha and then made me take the beads off of you.”



She almost started to cry again.





“I don’t understand why you are so jealous of Koga, I don’t like him like that I…”



However, she was cut off by Shippo. For a moment he looked a little wiser when he began to speak.



“Kagome, I may be a young demon, but even I know why InuYasha is mad. Koga came to take you away from him. Had Koga succeeded he would have made you his life mate. Once he puts his scent on you and you become pregnant with his cub, InuYasha can’t save you. None of us can. The whole pack of wolves would fight for you. InuYasha feels that you are his and is waiting to…owe!”



That was all he got out. InuYasha gave him a wallop on the head that left a big knot. Miroku laughed under his breath. Shippo pouted at InuYasha for smacking up upside the head.



“You talk to much kid.” InuYasha growled. Kagome understood what everyone was saying however, she still felt the need to defend her actions with Koga. She couldn’t believe that they would be so animalistic in their claim for her. Shouldn’t she have a say on with whom she would like to spend the rest of her life with.



“That’s impossible, Koga would never rape me, and he always says he’s going to come and get me but he hasn’t.”



InuYasha became impatient.



“He’s a damn wolf Kagome, he will take you, have sex with you whether you want it or not. He will not consider your feelings, or your needs. He won’t be like…”



InuYasha sighed, he was tired of explaining, he was tired of fighting his desire to take her, and he was just plain tired. But he continued to try again.



“If he does that Kagome, I can’t protect you any longer. You will belong to him do you understand, you will carry his scent His.!” He said almost pleadingly.



Sango put her hands on his shoulders. She understood what he was telling her. But, Kagome felt used right now and didn’t understand the way of men. She would have to explain female to female.



“InuYasha let me talk to her alone.”

“Humph, she’s got her ears plugged with rice. We’re off. Talk to her while we move on. We have several hours before night fall.”
