Rude Awakening
"What the HELL!?" *slap slap slap pow pow pow*
"Ouch! Sango! I can explain Oww!"
"Get your damned hands off of me Houshi-sama!" yelled Sango and she quickly opened the robes after much conflict.
"You sick pervert!" said Sango, having just woken up to find herself against the warm chest of a nearly naked and handsome monk. Miroku lay flat on his back, his head covered in large bumps and his cheeks red with hand prints.
Sango glared down at him, her heart pounding in her chest with anger. But then an icy wind blew against her nearly bare body and caused her to shiver and dive back into the robes, closing them around her.
"God damn it Houshi-sama. Where the hell are my clothes?!" demanded Sango as Miroku started to recover from the brutal attack.
"I was just keeping you alive for the night...I sware it..." he muttered as he looked innocently down at her as he started to sit up.
"Keeping me alive? How so? By taking advantage of me while I was sleeping?" growled Sango against his chest
"No, not taking advantage of you my lady. See, I awoke shortly after the snow started to fall heavily and I found you close to a frozen death. My intentions were pure, I would never do anything lecherous during such a crisis when life was on the line. You gave me your only blanket, I thank you for that. So in return for you sacrifice and kindness I gave you the warmth of my flesh to keep you alive and well." said Miroku softly. But what he didn't tell her was that her clothes were right under her...he didn't want her to leave just yet.
"I just didn't think it was going to snow, that's all..." muttered Sango as she blushed.
"Are you feeling well?" he asked as he tried to wrap his arms around her, only to have his hands slapped as they crept around her.
"I already told you to keep your hands off me..." growled Sango angrily and Miroku quickly backed off.
-But she's touching me!- he thought.
"I'm just trying to help..." he whimpered, sounding like a little puppy.
Sango sighed loudly, giving up.
"Fine, but if you tell anyone about this I'll kill you..." grumbled Sango as his arms snaked around her back and hips.
-This has to be a dream come true!!!- thought Miroku as his skin tingled with each breath she breathed against his chest. But he almost jumped out of his skin when Sango snuggled against him on her on silent accord.
"What's wrong Houshi-sama?" asked Sango, sounding completely different, almost relaxed and at ease in his arms. Her hand was right over his heart, feeling it pound harder and harder in his chest.
"N-Nothing..." muttered Miroku as he gently rubbed her back after moving her long hair out of the way so his prayer beads wouldn't get tangled in her beautiful brown tresses of hair.
Sango purred like a little kitten, happy and content for a moment in life.
Miroku had never seen Sango like this before, was she...trusting him?
"Sango, are you feeling alright? You're acting a little odd..." said Miroku, placing a hand on her forehead. She was a little warm but she didn't have a fever.
"I'm fine Houshi-sama..." said Sango softly as she gently took his hand and placed it on her rear. Miroku turned a deep shade of red, his hand, being one of the most perverted parts on his body, had a mind of it's own though and it instantly started to grope her as usual. He looked down at Sango's face as her arms slipped around his neck slowly as she looked back at him, gazing with half open eyes so deep that one could get lost for eternity in them.
-Is she really doing this? Oh kami, her brain is still frozen...- he thought before muttering nervously
"Umm...Sango?" He couldn't resist the almost magnetic force pulling them together, bringing them so close that he could almost taste her sweet lips. Now it was all up to will power and the desires of the heart.
"S-sango...Please-" he started to say shakily but he was stopped midsentance by none other than Inu-Yasha himself...
"What the hell are you guys doing?!" yelled Inu-Yasha as he yanked open the robes and exposed the near lovers to the brisk cold air.
"Inu-Yasha! This isn't what it looks like!" said Miroku quickly pulling out Sango's robes and covering her almost nude form with them.
Sango slipped into her clothes quickly and bolted out of Miroku's robes, tying her green skirt with in seconds and trying to act like nothing had just happened.
Inu-Yasha rolled his eyes and Miroku fixed his robes.
"She was cold....that's all..." he muttered, trying to calm his red cheeks though they were no where near as red as Sango's.
"If you two are going to mate than take it some were else. I don't like the smell and Shippo shouldn't be around that kind of stuff yet.
"We were not mating!!!" yelled Miroku as Kagome sat up.
"What's going on out here *yawn*?" she asked as she rubbed her eyes and pulled out her warmer winter clothes from her sleeping bag and she put them on over her sleeping clothes.
Shippo lay curled up next to Kagome, since he was a demon he didn't need any special clothes to keep warm.
"Miroku and Sango were-" started Inu-Yasha
"-Discussing Naraku's down fall and what we would do once he was dead!" said Miroku quickly.
"At this hour of the morning?" asked Kagome.
"Yes, the early bird gets the baboon you know." said Sango with a nervous chuckle.
"Then why were you both-" Inu-Yasha tried to say but Miroku stopped him again.
"Sharing a blanket? Why to save energy and to talk quietly so that we wouldn't wake you." said Miroku and Inu-Yasha gave up.
"So can we like pull something off and stay at an inn or something?" said Inu-Yasha.
"I don't want Kagome to get cold or sick, that's all..." he finished when Kagome looked at him oddly, about to say that she thought demons never got cold.
"Why certainly Inu-Yasha, I'd be glad to exercise a village for you." said Miroku sarcastically.
Soon the campsite was packed and everyone was on Kirara's back, heading towards a well to do village.
"My good sir. Don't you feel the dark presence that has come with the snow? I can feel it's evil sinking into the hearts and souls of both young and old." said Miroku to a richly inn-keeper.
"A dark presence you say!? What should be done good monk?" asked the man sounding frieghtened, several of the surrounding villagers gasped with horror and rushed their children inside their homes.
"I will exercise this village for a small fee. I only ask for a few nights stay at your inn and 3 meals a day. My fellow demon slayers and i will stay for a day or two to make sure that the village is safe." replied Miroku with a bow.
"Please, come with me and I shall take you to your room where you may rest after helping the village." responded the man before taking the group to his inn.
"This will be the ladies room here," said the inn-keeper "And this room is for your gentlemen." he said as he unlocked the door and opened them.
"And down the hall is the bath house with a lovely hot bath, that is avaible all day long." he mentioned.
"I shall have a meal sent right away." he said before leaving them quickly.
"Well...I guess I'm off..." said Miroku with a smile before turning and walking away.
Sango watched him leave as she sighed heavily.
"So what were you two really up to this morning?" asked Kagome with a giggle as she walked into the room.
Sango blushed as she followed her friend and sat down on the edge of the bed.
"Well...umm...I hadn't planned on it snowing so I gave Miroku my blanket...then it snowed and Houshi-sama woke up to find me almost frozen death so he kept me warm for the rest of the night in his robes." muttered Sango.
"Really? That's so sweet! See, I knew he cared about you." said Kagome happily.
Then a maid walked in with a tray of food, she set it down infront of them with a polite bow before leaving.
"Yay!!!" said Shippo digging in, having just woken up to the scent of food. Inu-Yasha started to eat too, he never listened to the babbles of the women anyways.
-I guess he does care about me...- thought Sango as she sipped some tea.
"This stuff is great!" proclaimed Inu-Yasha, stuffing down another rice ball.
Miroku returned late that evening, he smelt deeply of sake and had a drunken look on his face. He wandered drunkenly down the hall way towords the bath house, wishing to relax and clean up before going to bed.
He walked in quietly, no one was there, so he shut the door behind him and rounded the corner to take a look at the hot bath.
"Wow, this is such a lovely *hic up* bath..." and with that he stripped out of his robes and folded them sloppily before sliding into the hot bath tub and sighed deepily as he leaned his head back in repose and closed his eyes.
-Houshi-sama isn't back yet, so I guess it's safe for a quick bath..." thought Sango as she shut the door to the room. She had already changed into one of Kagome's towels, thinking that she would be alone. She walked silently down the hall, thought her bare feet made just the slightest soft thuds on the polished wood floor.
Sango opened the door to the bath house and slid it shut behind her, not seeing Miroku around the corner.
"Ouch! Sango! I can explain Oww!"
"Get your damned hands off of me Houshi-sama!" yelled Sango and she quickly opened the robes after much conflict.
