Silently he stepped up the stone stairs to the front door. He unsheathed his word and used it to unlock the door. Once inside he crept quietly, slowly up the stairs and behind the couch where Kagome sat alone. He looked around to see that her boyfriend was not there, or anywhere in the building. How much did he want to just kill her right there, but he couldn't until he had told her.
He jumped from the door over to the front of the couch, startling Kagome into a scream. And he stood tall and proud, infront of a frightened woman. "Damn you! You killed him! You killed my brother!" he yelled to her, and then turned, revealing his identity. She screamed again, but didn't run, she already knew it was over. She took a deep breath to say her last word, "I'm sorry... I didn't know..."
"You bitch! Of course you knew! You said you'd love him, and then you left! And now... I can't let you live any longer... I WILL AVENGE MY BROTHERS DEATH!" he leapt forward with a demon strength and swept her heart into peices in one fell strike. His sword was that of a demons fang and it possesed certain powers, that made killing so easy. So easy and it felt good, to finally know that his brother was avenged.
He stood fuming and staring at his work, a limp broken body lay on the floor. Bloody was her body and her heart beat slowly, and she said this as her eyes closed in pain, "Sorry... Hojo..." she was not dead, but he couldn't tell that. But it was then that he noticed that the window was open, and the neighbors across the street had already called the cops. He sheathed his sword and ran, out the building and slipped into the grasp of the Tokyo Police.

Quietly she slept, this poor girl so high in her own emotions. And she couldn't believe her soul was fighting for freedom, freedom from her futile attempts to die, and leave this world all alone in the cold. Even though she had already been left to fend for herself, she just couldn't handle that pain, and now... she was in too deep.
Too many times she had breathed in the effects of Oxycontin, and too many times had she returned for more. She was a true addict and it would be a hard road to reverse. She sat half asleep on a small couch outside the police office. Her eyes opened to see her friends sitting next to her, and her head rested on the lap of her friend Miroku Katachi. She looked past him to see her other friend, Sango Edogawa. Who was usually not involved in their activities, she had a sinister look on her face as she glared at Miroku.
Kikyou lay her head back down on the soft fabric of Miroku's pants and tried hard to keep her eyes open. There was a small commotion outside the big metal doors and then they parted to show a boy struggling against the grip of three officers. She tried to sit up to see but found no such strength. So she layed still and watched from a side angle. The boy was young, only around seventeen she guessed. He was dressed in dark clothes, that made his short silvery hair contrast. She thought him a bit odd to have inu ears instead of normal ears, but remembering her previous training as a priestess, she then realized he was a hanyou.
She widened her eyes, since she had never seen a real hanyou before. Youkai were but myths to her beliefs, and now she knew it all to be true as the hanyou boy wrestled his way across the halls. He stoped struggling and sat down on another couch to the right of the one she now lay on. She strained herself too much to see and gave up, falling once more into a deep sleep.

When she next awoke the hanyou boy was gone, and so was Sango. But she and Miroku remained in the station only hours later, and she startled as an officer came toward her. Miroku helped her up, and put his arm around her to steady her balance. She relied on his strength to get to the next room, where they would be questioned and sentanced.
They sat under a bright light together and Kikyou still leaned against Miroku's shoulder. She moaned at the bright light in her eyes. The voice of the officer was almost inaudible, and she could barely make out the words. Luckily Miroku had only gotten a slight effect and answered alot of the questions.
"What have you been taking?" he asked, coming close to Kikyou's face. Kikyou took a long deep breath and blinked, "Oxy's..." she breathed out. "And how much did you take?" said the policeman backing off some. Kikyou again drew in a deep breath, so that it hurt her ribs to breath in, and then let it out in her reply, "I took two 120's... and a 40..." she closed her eyes, snuggling against Miroku's soft sweater.
"Where did you get it?" asked the officer, seemingly impatient. "I... don't know..." Kikyou breathed. "WHERE DID YOU GET THE OXY?!" asked the policeman, much louder than before. Kikyou's ears rang with the tone of that man's voice, and her heartbeat sounded in her head. Miroku put a hand to her head to keep her from falling away. He answered the rest of the questions for her.

It must have been atleast two days since Kikyou's last encounter with the police, she woke up in a small bed, much like her own. In a dorm like room. She looked toward the windows, and they shone with the dim morning light. She looked at her watch, eight-o'-clock with a minute past. She moaned, feeling a strong headache taking over her vision. She heard the comforting voice of her friend Miroku by the door.
"You'll be okay Kikyou, you got it the worst... but you'll get through this..." he said, sitting on the side of her bed. Miroku had always wanted to be with Kikyou, he had asked her out countless times, but to no avail. Kikyou was always to high, or pained to even answer. So he protected her, and for the most part, took care of her. Though he was the one to supply her with Oxy's, he never meant to hurt her with them.
"I'm so sorry Kikyou... I never meant to..." Miroku didn't realize the tears, until he couldn't see his friend anymore. Kikyou lay back down in her bed for a moment, before rising slowly and heading across the room. She got dressed in a white tanktop and dark blue baggy jeans. She left her hair down, and pushed it behind her ears. She looked at herself, realizing her face looked tired, her eyes were red and sorrowed. She decided right then, that she would overcome her addiction.
"Miroku, you and I will both get through this... I'm tired of hiding from my life..." Miroku smiled through his tears at her words. He stood and hugged her tightly, he took her hand and slowly helped her walk out the door. "C'mon I'll show you around." he said cheerfully. She smiled back at him and leaned into his sholder for support.
