Naraku's Devious Plot

Naraku's Devious Plan

Last time:

"Is this what you want Kikyo?" Inuyasha as "To kill me?"

"I want you to be with me"

"Not going to happen, even if you kill me"

"Then if I can't have you, no one can. Die, Inuyasha!" she pulls back the string and then suddenly the bow is broken, a dagger stuck into the group near Kikyo's feet.

On another hill a figure stands, and speaks "If anyone is to kill Inuyasha, it will be me"

Chapter 3: A New Enemy

"Exactly who are you?" Kikyo asks as The figure vanishes and appeard between her and Inuyasha.

"None of your business you undead wench"

Kikyo looks at the man "How could you tell?"

"I 'm a half-demon, like Inuyasha. I see peoples life aura's, you don't have one" the man answers. "I have business with Inuyasha" he turns to Inuyasha only to see him in his human form. "I see I've come during your period of weakness, Inuyasha"

"I ain't weak, just human" Inuyasha responds. 'I know that voice' he thought unable to see the half-demon's face.

The half-demon turns to Kikyo. "Leave Inuyasha alone or I will return you to Hell"

Kikyo looked frightened. 'He broke my bow with a dagger, I need to be careful' she thought and had her soul collectors carry her off.

"Inuyasha, I shall return in a week to see if your power has returned" the half-demon says, "You may do what you want until then" with that the half-demon vanished.

"Who the Hell was that?" Inuyasha asks himself aloud.

"Inuyasha are you okay?" Kagome asks as she comes down the hill to him.

"I'm fine Kagome" he answers while in deep thought.

Kagome hugs Inuyasha tight. "I was frightened that I was going to lose you"

"It's not over yet, Kagome. We have to worry about that half-demon" Inuyasha says

"Any idea why he would want to kill you?" Kagome asks and Inuyasha shakes his head

"Come on you two, let's go back to bed" Miroku says

"I'm going to sleep here in the field" Inuyasha says and looks at Kagome "I'll take you home tomorrow so you can get some more supplies, we might as well wait here for that guy to reappear."

"Okay" Kagome said, both welcoming and dreading the break. Inuyasha goes and grabs his clothing and gets dressed as Kagome goes and grabs a blanket. She lays it on the ground and then lays down on the blanket.

"Can I join you?" Inuyasha asks.

"Of course Inuyasha" Kagome says as she scoots to one side of the blanket.

Inuyasha lays next to Kagome and looks up at the stars. "Kagome, I have to admit something"

"What's that Inuyasha?"

"This is the first time since I've meet you that I've been afraid for myself"

"You're afraid of that half-demon?"

"Did you see Kikyo's face? Obviously she was scared of him, and that takes a lot"

Kagome thought about it, Kikyo had looked at her broken bow in genuine fear, something Kagome had not seen her do. "So, she believed him when he said that he'd send her to Hell?"

"Obviously, cause she left in a hurry after he said that"

"So you're going to fight him?"

"Do I have a choice?"

"We could fight him together"

"That may may be the only way to fight him"

"Then you won't be fighting alone?"

"No" Inuyasha looks at the stars and sayd. "Kagome"

"Yes, Inuyasha?"

"When this is over, if I'm still here, can I come to your time and see the stars?"

"Sure"

"Thanks" Inuyasha sighes worriedly. Kagome leans over and kisses him. "What was that for?" he asked surprised.

"I was trying to take your mind off the situation" she says and kisses him again. "Do demons marry?" she asks suddenly

"No, marriage is a human custom" Inuyasha answers

"So, demons don't have anyway of saying they are with someone for life?"

"Demon's mark their mate, and they mate for life"

"So they are mated huh?"

"Yeah" Inuyasha answers "Why you ask?"

"I was wondering what we'd have to do to make it so we're together. So that Koga would stopping hitting on me, and so I had a reason to be with you"

"We'd have to mate, and then you'd be marked"

"By mate, you mean have sex right?"

"Yes" "

Inuyasha, I want to be your mate" Kagome sayd and kisses Inuyasha.

"Not tonight, Kagome"

"Why not?"

"Myouga told me that half-demons like myself parent children on one of two days of the month, the full moon and the new moon. It's guaranteed"

"Oh, ok, then tomorrow night?" Kagome asked

"I think maybe we should talk to your mother first" Inuyasha said, "She'll probably want us to get married first"

"I thought you said demons don't marry?"

"Humans do, and I am half human"

"What do you mean?"

"Kagome, would you marry me, and be my wife and mate?"

"I'd love too" she hugs him. "Wait, where's my ring?"

"Ring?"

"My engagement ring you fool"

"Never heard of one. Rings are a part of the marriage ceremony, I know that"

"Ok, I can deal with just a wedding ring then"

Inuyasha hugs Kagome "Let's go to sleep now, we have a long week ahead of us"
