Mokusatsu-kun: I found the next chapter! It was under my ff.net stuff.

Train: You need to get organised M-chan.

Mokusatsu-kun: You're no help, you're just sipping a tequila. And don't call me that.

Train: What, M-chan? You use it on ff.net, why not here?

Mokusatsu-kun: Shut up.

Chapter 3

Miroku smirked when he saw a no fno folded neatly by the springs. It was the same Kimono that girl had been wearing. He could see golden hair and sighed blissfully as he slipped into the water. “This must be my lucky day…”

He moved through the water, inching his way towards the young maiden. There were times when he narrowly missed being seen. He tensed, hiding behind a rock when he heard splashing. He peered around the boulder when the sounds died down.

“What are you doing monk?”

Miroku turned, falling into the water at the same time. He came up, sputtering. “I… I’m sorry miss! I didn’t know anyone was he—”

“I doubt that monk.”

“It’s true.” Miroku stood up and finally got a good look at the golden haired beauty. “You… you’re a boy!”

The boy smirked. “You finally noticed.”

Miroku fainted and the boy sighed, pulling him into a sitting position so he wouldn’t drown. He walked away from the monk when he heard his name being called.

“Romikoto-san?! Oi!! Romikoto!!”

“Yes!”

Inu Yasha bounded into view to see the blond and an uncioucious Miroku. “What…?”

“He thought I was a girl.” The blond walked through the water to Inu Yasha. “He fainted when he got a better look.”

“Whatever. Kaede sent these. Here.”

Inu Yasha handed the clothes to the boy, who was now out of the water. The boy, Evyn, disappeared into the foliage to dress. Inu Yasha jumped over a stone by the now awakened monk.

“Hey Miroku.”

“Inu Yasha.”

“So… You thought that guy was a girl.”

“It’s a simple error. He was wearing a woman’s kimono.”

“Of course he was…”

“Hey!” Inu Yasha and Miroku turned to see the blond, wearing a pair of blue pants. He shirt and jacket hung on his arms, and he smiled. “Thanks. Make sure that monk stays outta trouble.”

“Sure.” Inu Yasha turned back to Miroku, who was staring at the boy. “…You know, he is cute if you’re into guys… Are you?”

“No! Inu Yasha, HE HAS A SPIDER BURN MARK ON HIS BACK!!”

“WHAT?!!” Inu Yasha turned to the blond but the boy had gone. “Come on monk, We’ve got to find him.”

---

Naraku sat in his chamber, holding his piece of the Shikon no Tama. It was glowing and had been for the last two days. He frowned, staring into its depths. “Kagura!”

The woman walked in and glared at the man. “Naraku, why have you called me?”

“Find Inu Yasha and bring me the miko reincarnate.”

“That girl… What do you want with her?”

Naraku turned away. “That is none of your business. Just bring her here.”

Kagura sneered and left the man. Naraku frowned, looking back at the jewel. As of late he’d been having dreams but could only remember a pair of silver flecked amethyst eyes looking at him. He could help but feel something tug at his almost non-existent heart. Who was the owner of those eyes and why did he feel such strong emotions towards the owner?

Naraku shook his head. He didn’t have times for emotions.

---

Kagome, Sango and Shippo walked around the village. Sango carried Kilala in her arms. She glanced at Kagome. “So… What is this Evyn like?”

“I don’t know, really. I met him four days ago. He was really nice, although his mom’s a little weird. He just moved to Tokyo.”

“Really…? Where is he from?”

“Umm…”

“Kagome!!”

The three turned to see Evyn heading towards them. Kagome waved and Sango stared. “He’s cute.”

Kagome lowered her hand and looked at Sango. “I suppose.”

Shippo walked a bit forward. “He looks harmless…”

Evyn smirked, hearing what the fox-demon said. “I’m not though. Hi Kagome.”

“Hi Ev… Wait, you mom’s Japanese, right?”

“Well, yeah.”

“Don’t you have a Japanese name? Calling you by that would be a lot easier.”

“I dunno if I have one. I’ll ask my mom when I have a chance. Oh! You left this at my house. I went over to your house to give it back but ended up here.”

Evyn pulled out the jar Kagome had forgotten and handed it to her. Kagome’s eyes widened as she took it and hugged him. “Thank you Evyn! I was worried that I lost it. Come on Shippo, let’s go back to Kaede’s house.”

Evyn smiled and shook his head before turning to Sango. “My name’s Romikoto Evyn. You are?”

She blushed. “I’m Sango.”

“Sango… That’s a nice name.”

“Th-thank you…” Evyn glanced away but she caught his arm. He turned back to her. “You said that you weren’t harmless. What did you mean?”

Evyn smiled. “Sango, you know how to fight, right?”

“Of course.”

“Well then, all we need are bokutos and I’ll show you…”

---

“Miroku, do you see him?!”

“No Inu Yasha, I don’t. He could have gone anywhere.”

“Baasan said he was looking for Kagome. All we need to do is find him or the girls before they meet.”

“Well, there’s Kagome and Shippo.”

“Where? Kagome!!”

Kagome turned, startled. “Inu Yasha…”

“Kagome, that guy, Romikoto, has Naraku’s burn mark os bas back.”

“What?? Inu Yasha, what are you talking about?”

“There’s a spider burn mark on his back. Miroku saw it. He works for Naraku.”

“That’s the dumbest thing I’ve ever heard. If Evyn worked for Naraku, why did he return these?” She held up the shards for Inu Yasha to see. “Besides, if he worked for Naraku then that means Naraku lives during my era. Hw would have come after me when I’m there.”

“Nevermind. Where is he now?”

“I left him with Sango.”

“Miroku, let’s go!”

“Coming Inu Yasha!”

“SIT!!”

Inu Yasha fell and stood back up again. “What did you do that for? We need to go after him before he does something.”

“Are you insane?! He gave me back these shards! He should have kept them for Naraku instead of willingly handing them over!! Why can’t that get through that thick skull of yours?!!”

“Did either of you think Naraku might have sent this boy to pick us off one by one? He and Sango are alone right now. We need to find them.”

“I’ll help you two look, but only to prove that Evyn’s a good guy.”

---

“Damnit, stand still!!”

Sango swung her bokuto at where she though Evyn was, only to met air. The boy laughed. “Come on Sango, you need to be faster than that. I’ve already taken you out 5 times now, is it?”

Sango turned to him. He stood leaning on his bokuto. She growled, ignoring the smarting pain from his blows. He hit her vital spots lightly but quickly. “How is it you’re so fast?”

“My mother’s a miko. She trained me and Hikaru since I could walk. She doesn’t use a bokuto though…”

“A miko. So you’re a priest?”

“No… I don’t think I could be.”

“Why not?”

“There’s this thing with the shrine—”

“SANGO!”

Inu Yasha, Miroku, Kagome and Shippo came running out of the forest. Sango and Evyn stared at them. Kagome walked over to join Sango. “Evyn, do you work for a guy named Naraku?”

“::Huh?::”

Inu Yasha pulled out his sword. “Kagome, Sango, get away from him! He’s trying to cast a spell!!”

“Inu Yasha, what are you doing?!”

“I’m g—”

Beep! Beep! Beep!

“::Aww Crap!:: Kagome, I’ve got to go! Kai’s going to be at my house in half an hour. I think we’re going to the track so he can re-evaluate my skills. He’ll kill me if I’m not there.”

Kagome nodded and Kilala ran forward before glancing back at Sango. The demon exterminator stared and then smiled. “Take Kilala with you, to your time Evyn.”

“Huh? Oh, thanks Sango!” Kilala transformed and Evyn hopped on. Kilala turned and faced the group. “Kagome?”

“Yes?”

“I still expect you to complete your half of the project. See ya!”

Kilala set off in the sky and Kagome sighed. “I hoped that he’d do the entire thing…”

Inu Yasha lowered Tetsusaiga. “What… just happened? Kagome, you forgot to ask him about the burn mark!!”

“Oh!”
