Chapter 3

Unforeseen Gift

If Inu Yasha and Kagome hadn’t been so tired from their little romp in the hay they would have heard the rest of the group coming but like most things in life things didn’t turn out that way. Kagome and Inu Yasha both woke to the sounds of the Monk and the Kitsune laughing. In two seconds flat Kagome was in the hot springs to cover herself. Inu Yasha was growling as he quickly dressed. “You had better run, because I’m going to kill you both” and with that he ran after the monk and the little fox demon all the while they were laughing at him.
“What’s wrong dog breath did we catch you at a bad time” giggled Shippo as he dodged Inu Yasha’s fists. He was having a really good time teasing him. The Monk escaped Inu Yasha’s wrath only because he was to busy chasing the fox, so he made his way back to the hot springs. He had noticed the changes in Kagome’s appearance as was curious to find out what had caused it. Kagome was once again dressed but she was about as red as a cherry tomato. “What has happened to you Kagome Sama”
“Yes, I would like to know as well” Sango said as she sat down next to the girl in question.
Kagome sighed “Well I don’t really know what happened really but I bet it has something to do with my mom’s lies” the tears stared to form in her eyes as she thought about what her mother had done. She took a moment to calm down before she went on, by the time she was ready to continue a very satisfied half demon walked up with a struggling kitsune, but when he saw Kagome’s face he instantly went to her side and took her hand. She gave him a sad smile and continued to explain what she knew of what had happened to her. “Ok I think I have to start with my mother, she basically told me that the man I knew as my father is not my father I got upset and ran from the house back her to this time Inu Yasha was here when I got through the well but I told him I would meet him in the village later because I wanted to try and take my mind of my problems I cam here to the hot springs I guess I was so deep in thought That I didn’t sense when the demon came at me it was probable after my shards; anyway it through me really hard against the tree, I think I passed out but I heard a voice and it told me that Inu Yasha wasn’t going to make it in time to save me I felt a blinding pain all over my body and I heard the voice tell me to wake up, to wake up to my true self. After that it was just black until Inu Yasha woke me” she was looking at her hands.
“Well when I got here she was laying on the ground I tried to get to her but a powerful Ki blocked me from reaching her; that was when she started floating. She started changing then, and beyond that is none of your fucking business” Kagome looked at him for a second and then smacked him in the back of the head.
“You don’t have to be rude Inu Yasha. I think that all this has something to do with my real father; I think I need to go back home to my time and listen to the rest of my mom story. Inu Yasha will you please come with me I don’t want to go there alone”
“Kuh, whatever women” with that Kagome smiled and rewarded him with a kiss on the cheek “Nani” he quickly tuned the other way to hide his blush.
“Well I think that I would like to go back but only after some magick grass” she pulled out the little glass pipe and when to the plant to get another sticky bud.
“Magick grass?” Both Sango and Miroookeooked confused.
“Just watch what Inu Yasha and I do and then you do the same ok” she loaded the first bowl she passed the pipe to Inu Yasha first, “You get green hit first this time ok” he nodded his head and took a hit and once again he was coughing. So she tossed him the water bottle he passed the pipe next to Kagome once again she didn’t cough but she almost did she snatched the water bottle from Inu Yasha to sooth her throat. She then passed the pipe to Sango she tried to refuse she was afraid after Inu Yasha’s display. “Its ok Sango just take little puffs until you feel that you lungs are filled and then let it out slowly ok” she hesitated for a few moments and then did as she was instructed. She didn’t cough and smiled as she felt her body relax. She passed the pipe to Miroku he also did as Kagome had instructed he coughed a little but he was fine after a moment he was about to pass the pipe to Shippo when Kagome yelled, “ OOOOOOh NO you can’t give that to him he’s just a kid” started he passed the pipe to pipe to Inu Yasha.
Three and a half hours later it was getting dark and everyone was pretty much really fucked up, the only sober one was of course Shippo. “Shippo would you please make sure that Miroku and Sango don’t fall off Kirara on the way back to Kaeda’s house” he nodded and their three companions left for the village. “Ok let’s get this over with ok” she signed and started to walk toward the well.
On the other side of the well they found her mother crying on the steps out side of the well house. “Ok Mom I ready now to listen to the rest of your story” the women jumped when she heard her daughters’ voice she turned to look at her she paled when she saw what her daughter looked like. She also noticed that she had brought Inu Yasha back here with her and he was standing rather close to her child. She sighed and got to her feet “Follow me into the house it’s getting cold out here”
Ms. Higurashi set tea down the table and began to finish the story she started earlier, “First off your dad knew that you weren’t his child but he still loved you until his dieing day, don’t you ever think that wasn’t so. Well like I said earlier I met your biological father on my school trip to China. I was just an irresponsible child basically I thought I had loved him. He told me that he loved me to but after I left china I found out I was pregnant with you he disappeared. But I’m sure you would like to know why you are the way you are now.” She pause for a moment to sip at her tea, “well before I left China he told me what he really was…I didn’t believe him really then he showed me his godly form…Yes your father was a god he told me that he was The Guardian God of the West Byakko. That would make you a Demy Goddess Kagome. Grandfather had called a spiritualist when you were born to put a seal on you goddess half we wanted to live as a normal girl but it seems that the seal has been broken, which means that your life was threaten.” She gave Inu Yasha a cold stare; he was in an instant hiding behind Kagome's back.
“Um I think I need to lay down come on Inu Yasha we’ll be staying hear tonight” with that she walked up to her room leaving her mom to cry by her self.
“Inu Yasha will you hold me I feel so confused, what does all this mean I’m a goddess what does that mean, what am I supposed to do know” he did as she asked and wrapped his arms around her and they both fell to sleep.
Kagome’s Dream
She was sitting in the most beautiful garden she had ever seen ever she looked up when she heard foot steps. “I’m sorry child that I haven’t spoken with you tell now” he was the most beautiful man that she had ever seen he was wearing what looked like ancient Chinese battle armor he had ears like her and markings like she did and his eyes were like her’s but darker he had long strait black and white hair like that of a white tiger. “Child when the put the seal on you they broke our connection, I have watched you from the time you were born you have made me proud child, but I can sense your confusion and sorrow. You do not have any added responsibility with this knowledge then you did before you knew child. Fear not the unknown child you will soon become accustom to you knew life and the half breed will stay with you.” He reached out and placed a kiss on her cheek and she felt calm all over and refreshed. “You must wake now child and continue on you quest to reunite the Shards of the jewel”
