Chapter three
To St.Louis we go!

As the week went by smoothly, everything went well as usual.
Kagome had helped Inuyasha settle to an agreement with his brother about his father’s estate. And Kagome some how managed to get Miroku to set down with her during lunch on Wednesday and Thursday to get together some wedding plans.
They decided on a date and a church and whose family did what in the wedding. But there was still a lot to be talked out and planned.
Soon Saturday arrived, as did Mirokus and Sangos departure for St.Louis.

Saturday morning 4:00 AM (Mirokus and Kagomes apartment):
Kagome rolled over in her bed to find it empty.
Soon after she had rolled over she heard her annoying alarm clock go off that Miroku had set that night before.
*Meep! Meep! * *Meep! Meep! * The alarm clock rang.
For some reason Miroku always seemed to get up before the time the alarm clock was set to.
Kagome growled at the alarm clocked and threw her pillow at it.
As soon as she threw her pillow it missed and almost hit the passing by Miroku.
“Whoa love! Mad at me for leaving that much huh?” He said playfully.
“Mmm… Oh.. Sorry Miroku. It’s just that annoying alarm clock..” Kagome said tiredly.
Miroku pouted. “Oh fooie, I was hoping you wanted me to stay!*
Kagome giggled some and sat up in her bed.
“Of course I want you to stay Miroku, what ever made you think I wanted you to leave in the first place?”
Miroku smirked some.
“Yeknowknow Kag-babe. I’m just teasing ya love”
Kagome nodded and sighed.
Miroku walked over to Kagome and hugged her tight and kissed her passionately for a good bye.
As Miroku kissed her she melted in his arms.
But often times when he did, she thought of Inuyasha.
At that, a replayed kiss they had shared in the high school play of ‘ Romeo and Juliet’ entered her mind..
Her heart melted.
She often said to her self; that it was the best kiss she had ever shared with anyone in her entire life.
As Miroku pulled away, it snapped Kagome out of her thoughts.
“Bye my darling Kagome. Sango and I will be back on Wednesday. I’ll call you every night if I can ok?” He said softly.
Kagome nodded and hugged Miroku tighter.
“Ok, ok love.. I … can’t.. breath!” Miroku joked.
Kagome giggled some “Yea, yea Miroku. Try that trick on someone else. Because you know I don’t squeeze that hard!”
“Oh but you do in bed” Miroku said naughtily.
And with those words said; she blushed a bright, bright pinkish red color.
Miroku grinned some as he looked at the expression on Kagomes face and then kissed her one last time “Bye love, see you Wednesday” He said as he picked up his stuff and left the room.
Kagome heard Mirokus Jag pull out of the driveway.
She sighed some and lied back in her bed..
As she started to drift off asleep again..Thoughts of Inuyasha danced across her mind.

Saturday morning 4:30 AM (Sangos and Inuyashas apartment):
Sango poked and prodded the still sleeping Inuyasha.
“Inuyasha, Inuyasha.. INUYASHA! Wake up!”
She whispered sorta loudly.
Inuyasha mumbled and opened his sleepy eyes, still half asleep he asked.
“Mmm.. What do you want Sango? It’s too early to get up!”
Sango sighed some and smiled at him.
“Remember Inuyasha? I leave today with Miroku to go St.Louis!”
Inuyasha growled a little bit under his breath and said “Yea Sango, I remember. And I remember how he brought it up to me at lunch Tuesday.”

******Flash back******
Tuesday noon 12:30 PM (Picture perfect café):
Miroku and Inuyasha had a nice lunch together.
They talked about the partnership Miroku wanted to do with Kouga and how the business was steadily growing.
They had also talked about the wedding plans that he and Sango were making, which kinda made Miroku a tad jealous.
He didn’t know if it was jealousy of how great their wedding would be and how big it was going to be; and how he hadn’t been able to find the time to plan his wedding with Kagome. Or if it was how he’d always wanted Sango and yet Inuyasha had some how and some way slipped by him and proposed to her before he even had a chance to take her away.
After their nice convo and lunch Miroku decided that he was going to have to tell Inuyasha one way or another that he was planning to take Sango with him to St. Louis.
Mirokghedghed some and thought ‘well here it goes.’
“Um.. Inuyasha.. I was also planning to take Sango with me on the trip to St.Louis.*
With that said Miroku looked at his watch and back at the kinda angry Inuyasha.
Miroku cracked a nervous smile and dashed up out of his seat.
“Well..Uh.. I gotta go Inuyasha! See you tomorrow old friend!”
Miroku ran off to find the next taxi back to the office.
******End of Flash back****
Sango kissed Inuyasha sweetly and whispered.
“I’m sorry that Miroku has a weird way of telling you things love. But for now I have to leave. I’ll see you when I get back home on Wednesday. Bye Inuyasha.”
Inuyasha hugged her and lay back down in his bed; deciding to sleep a little while longer as he heard Sango rush down the hallway and out the door into her car.
Inuyasha heard as Sango drove away. As he started to fall asleep a dream about Kagome and their high school play arose.

Saturday morning. 5:30 AM (Las Angeles Inttiontional Airport.):
As Sango arrived at the airport she saw an impatient Miroku passing the sidewalk waiting for her.
As she got out of her car she heard Miroku say loudly.
“About time you got here Sango! I thought you’d never come. I was worried we’d miss the flight!”
Sango just shook her head and sighed.
“I’m here Miroku. There was no need for you to worry. You know how hectic traffic is. I was stuck in a jam for about 20 minutes and then I had to go the long way. ”So sorry ok?” Miroku nodded at her excuse and grabbed her by her hand. “C’mon Sango. If we don’t go now, we’ll miss our plane!”
Sango rolled her eyes and grabbed her luggage as Miroku started pulling her onto the
walk of the plane.
Sango growled some as she put her purse in the compartment above their head.
“Miroku, You impatient loon, we have 30 minutes to take off! And there is barely anybody on the plane!” Miroku took the window seat and smiled at Sango some.
“Well my dear Sango, It’s better to be early then sorry!”
Sango glared at him and then took her seat.
“You owe me a raise for coming on this trip with you Miroku!”
Miroku smirked “Hehe, we’ll see Sango. For now, will you just relax and enjoy the trip?”
Sango rolled her eyes and leaned back in her chair.
20 minutes had passed as she heard the captain of the plane say, “Welcome ladies and gentlemen. This is your captain speaking. Thank you for flying with Los Angeles Airlines. Please put on your seat belts on now, for in a few minutes we will be taking off. I hope you enjoy your flight. I’ll try to make it as smooth as possible for you.”
Sango felt the plane move after every one was seated and correctly fastened in there seats.
“Finely we’re moving.” Said Sango as she sighed.
Soon the plane was up in the air and all was moving smooth.
Unbeknownst to them both, a small truck rolled up to where the plane once was.
As the plane left airport workers were frantically trying to flag it down unnoticed as the plane disappeared into the sky, the luggage left behind.
During the flight Sango decided to sleep and told Miroku not to bother her.
Miroku only nodded at her and read his newspaper as he sipped on the cup of coffee he had ordered from the flight attendant…This was going to be a long day for Sango and Miroku..
