The Change
Real quick. Ethril and her father have green eyes in the begging of the story, but when they arrive at Sesshy’s castle, Joe, her father, takes away his disguise and reveals that he is a demon. So he really has gold eyes. Not green. It is just a disguise to hide him from the humans and to protect his daughter. And the demons that want to capture Ethril will appear later in the story. They have been following them for awhile. Now on to the story.
The Next Generation
Chapter 2: The Change
Ethril slowly pulled herself out of her sleep. She heard voices to one side of her but there was a harsh pounding in her ears. Her whole body felt like it was on fire. She tried to open her eyes but she grew dizzy with the effort. She tried to move but it was like her body was made out of lead. Heavy, painful, lead. The pounding would not stop and she whimpered slightly. The voices stop and something cool was placed on her head.
“How much power, energy did you transfer to her Joe?” said a slightly angered, deep voice.
“I gave her all her power and energy that I had taken when she was born.” Said a very familiar voice.
“Idiot. You should have given it to her slowly.” Said the now angry voice.
“Ethril will be fine.” Her father said quietly.
Then it hit her…the first voice was her father. Fear and Anger filled Ethril. There was a battle of emotions and fear won. She opened her eyes to stare up into golden eyes. Ethril tried to move away, but found her arms were pinned to what felt like a bed.
“You need to sleep. Close your eyes and sleep.” Ethril’s father whispered. She fought the wave of drowsiness. She really did, for how long she didn’t know. Drowsiness won and she fell asleep again.

“You are the biggest baka I have ever seen. How could you force such power onto her so soon…and fast? You should have waited. Now your own daughter and our only hope could die.” Said the angry hanyo.
“Inu-Yasha, wait. She’s fighting me. Hold on.” Joe said while concentrating. “Ethril is not letting me put her to sleep.” Perspiration was clinging to his neck. Finally, Ethril fell into a dreamless sleep. “I think that is proof that my daughter can handle her power.”
“It’s not her power I am worried about. It’s the transformat It It should have been taken slowly. But no…instead you force her body to change. I mean Kagome nearly died from her bodies change. And Sesshomaru even thinks that she died because of the after effect of the change. I mean if you remember she didn’t eat or sleep very well after her transformation. It was like she didn’t even have a soul left.” Inu-Yasha said angrily. “And now it’s all going to happen all over again.” Inu-Yasha looked over at Ethril intently.
“Ethril is not Kagome, Inu-Yasha. In more ways than one.” Joe said staring daggers at the hanyo.
“I know that. But she reminds me of Kagome so much.”
Joe looked from Inu-Yasha to Ethril and back to Inu-Yasha. “Listen…Ethril will live, she will have a smooth if painful transformation, and she is not Kagome’s reincarnation. You got me?” Joe said standing up, anger creeping into his eyes. Inu-Yasha backed up half a step thinking how much Joe looked like his father in a very bad mood. And yet he looked like his mother Kagura.
After they had destroyed Naraku, Kagura was given back her heart. She had apologized for her actions and told them that she had had no choice. She did not want to hurt them and she had even tried to stop Naraku. Sesshomaru had just looked at her and offered her a home with him in his castle. She would have to help take care of Rin and to watch his castle when he was protecting his land. Kagura had frowned and told him she was going to help protect his land whether he liked it or not.
After several months Kagura and Sesshomaru had grown to love each other. Kagura took care of Rin like a mother and helped Sesshomaru even when he told her not to. They were made for each other.
Inu-Yasha looked at Joe and nodded.
“Good…now leave.” Joe said loudly pointing to the door.
Inu-Yasha turned and walked out of the room not looking back. He turned and started to head for Sesshomaru’s rooms.
Joe sighed and closed the door that Inu-Yasha had left open. Joe turned his head and looked at his sleeping daughter. He walked over to her side and kneeled down next to her bed. “You are not Kagome. You are my daughter.” He whispered more to himself then to her. He watched with worried eyes as Ethril tossed her head from the pain.

Ethril slowly started to wake up. The pain that had been in her, had slightly gone away. As she awoke voices once again filled her hearing. She peaked out to see who was talking and was surprised to see not only her father but another person who looked like her father. She closed her eyes and shook her head to clear her vision. When she opened her eyes she still saw double of her father.

Sesshomaru had entered the room without attracting the attention of Joe. He strode quickly over to the bed and looked down at Ethril over his shoulder.
Joe jumped up and out of the way for the Great Lord Sesshomaru. Joe fell to his knees. “My Lord Sesshomaru.”
Sesshomaru looked disdainfully down at Joe. “Get up Joe. Do you really think a son should kneel for his father?” Sesshomaru said.
Joe looked up and frowned. “But you disowned me. I am nothing better than servant.” Joe said looking down at the ground.
Sesshomaru looked at the back of Joe’s head frowning. “Do get up Joe. What I said was we would discuss what will happen when your child was born. But, you left with Ethril before we could talk. So actually you are not disowned.” Sesshomaru explained.
Joe looked up surprised at what his father had said. Sesshomaru looked over at the girl and frowned. Ethril had awakened and had listened to everything Sesshomaru had just said. Sessh9maru frowned and walked over to her. Ethril just looked up at him with little emotion and Sesshomaru figured she thought she was still dreaming.

Ethril had just heard her father call the man father and Lord Sesshomaru. She was in shock. How could her father never tell her about this? As she watched what was happening the Lord looked over at her surprised. She gasped inwardly and waited watching Sesshomaru walk over to her. She tried to move over and away but with the movement the pain returned. She hissed in pain and Sesshomaru stopped walking over to her. She looked up at him and started to fall asleep. She fought once again to stay awake, but she soon fell into another dreamless sleep.

Sesshomaru looked down at the sleeping girl and sighed. She was very strong. He looked over at Joe, who was standing, and nodded. Sesshomaru glided out of the room not looking back.
Joe frowned and closed the door. He turned and walked back over to his sleeping daughter. He sat on the ground just as Inu-Yasha came back into the room with Sesshomaru.
Joe looked over at them and started to grow slowly angry. “Why do you insist on coming in here? Ethril is still asleep.” Joe said his voice growing louder.
Sesshomaru looked at Joe with little expression and looked over at Ethril, who was sleeping quietly. “She will wake up in a few minutes. So I went and got Inu-Yasha.”
Joe stood there calming down slightly. “Well that still doesn’t give you an excuse to come barging in here every few seconds.”
Sesshomaru looked over at Joe and sighed. “We are both sorry, but for now you must stop talking and explain to your daughter who we are and what is happening.” Joe looked back over his shoulder and gulped. Ethril had just woken up and was staring at him as if he were crazy.

Ethril groaned and tried to pull herself out of the sleep she had been put into. She opened her eye sand closed them immediately. Everything was brighter and it hurt when she opened her eyes. She slowly reopened her eyes to get used to the light and turned her head to look at her father, who was talking to Sesshomaru and Inu-Yasha. She heard what was being said but was in a state of shock. She could not believe all this was happening. Her father looked over to her and she could he was very pale. She frowned and started to sit up. Her father rushed over to her but she glared at him making him stop were he was. She pulled herself into a sitting position and pushed back a strand of hair with a clawed hand….she looked down at her hand surprised and scared. She had never had a clawed hand before. She looked at her other hand and saw it to had claws. She looked back up at her father with a questioning look. “Father…What happened to me? Where am I? And who are they…I mean I now their names but who are they to you?” Ethril asked looking around at the two others standing around the room. Both had silver white hair and golden eyes. She looked back at her father and crossed her arms over her chest. “Well? I’m waiting.” Ethril wanted answers and she wanted them now.
Her father looked at her and smiled slightly. He new she wanted her answers fast but the only way he could answer her was to show her. He walked over to the desk on the other side of the room and picked up small hand mirror. He walked back over to her and held out the mirror to her
Ethril reached over carefully and took the mirror out of her father’s hands and lifted it up to her face. Ethril gasped at the sight she saw. She saw gold eyes, black hair with a tint of green, purple stripes on her cheeks and a blue crescent moon on her forehead. She looked up over the mirror and up at her father. He was looking down at the ground avoiding her yes. She looked at the others and was surprised. Sesshomaru was looking at her with very little emotion, and Inu-Yasha was flexing his claws. Ethril frowned and looked back at her father. ‘What? Do they think I’m in denial? Do they think I’m going to kill myself or something?’ Ethril thought to herself. She looked back into the mirror and the beauty looked back. Ethril knew she had never looked like the most beautiful girl ever, but now, she looked like a princess, or a super model.
Joe watched his daughter’s expression and calmed. He knew she wouldn’t kill herself for something as small as this. Joe looked over at Inu-Yasha and sighed. “Alright. To answer your first question, you are actually a demon princess. When your mother died we feared for your life and fled the country. I put a disguise on you and me to hide from the demons that were trying to kidnap you. For your second question…you are in the Lord Sesshomaru’s hidden castle in the western land of Japan. For your last question I would have to say…Inu-Yasha is my half uncle. Sesshomaru is my father…” Joe looked down again at his feet.
Ethril thought for a minute. She looked at her father and asked “how old are you?”
Joe looked up at his daughter. “I am over 450 years old.”
Ethril gasped and looked down at the mirror in her lap. “Why didn’t you ever tell me any of this?”
Joe looked at his one and only daughter with love gleaming in his eyes. “It was for your own protection.”

Ok there is the next chapter....review please...hmm let me think....you already know i am going to combine inu-yasha with yu yu hakasho. what else. i will reveal what happened to kagome in the next chapter.
hmm real quick i am going to tell you an author note. the next chapter may take awhile to right so be patiant please. im typing this really fast in school so that is why my spelling is terrible right now. read and review. and lets just say a little kitsune teenager will appear in the next chapter. and i have found the pairing for Ethril. if you have already guest than good for you.one more thing. Kagome dies because....
it has something to do with naraku....thats all i am saying

Chapter 2: The Change
