Chapter 3
Chapter 3
Sesshomaru was walking the hall when he caught the scent of Rin near his room “why didn’t I notice this earlier?” he thought. Following it to Inu Yasha’s room and opened the door to see Inu Yasha curled up with Rin “Their scents are intermingled, but that’s to be expected when you sleep together, besides” he thought sniffing “they haven’t mated yet, the do look nice together . . .” his thoughts trailed off as Inu Yasha raised up with his ears and nose twitching.
“Sess?” he asked groggily.
“Little brother it seems you had fun last night” pointing a clawed finger towards Rin.
Inu Yasha looked at Rin who was waking up then back to his brother “Sess nothing happened I . . .” he trailed off.
“I know,” replied Sesshomaru “when you two are ready come out for breakfast.”
Rin heard voices and looked around waking up, she remembered the events of last night and blushed as she realized what the brothers were talking about. After Sesshomaru left, grinning like an idiot, Inu Yasha got up to leave.
“I-Inu Ya . . .” began Rin.
“Come its breakfast and I’m starving,” replied Inu Yasha trying to avoid any discussion of last night.
“Ok” whispered Rin and followed in step beside Inu Yasha.
The two found Sesshomaru outside with a table already set up for breakfast, Inu Yasha stared amazed at all the food. He sat down and continued to stare with hungry eyes.
“It works better when you eat with your mouth,” said Sesshomaru trying to hide a smile so the servants would not notice.
Inu Yasha began to eat as if he was starved and Sesshomaru’s face turned to an expression of amazement that his brother could eat so much and so fast “B-Brother?” asked Sesshomaru.
Mumbled replies came from Inu Yasha as he continued to eat.
“The foods not going anywhere” he said as Rin began to giggle.
“Yes Inu-Chun, you are staying with us are you not?” asked an almost begging Rin.
He nodded yes, still trying to chew what was in his mouth.
“Good!” she said happily, “so you do not have to eat so much so fast.”
“Yes brother, Rin is correct” said Sesshomaru “I’ll have the table cleared, you and Rin should go for a walk in the garden.”
Inu Yasha went to look at Rin to gauge her reaction but she was already pulling him to his feet “come Inu-Chun” she exclaimed giddily.
Back with the Inu-Gang
They walked silently to the west, Kagome riding on Kilala to tired from crying all night to walk. Miroku looked at Sango wanting to have his questions answered but Sango just looked away and continued walking. They stopped when they saw something wearing red clothes in the forest walking to them, suddenly Kikyo appeared with her soul collectors and looked around at the group “Where is Inu Yasha?” she demanded.
As the story unfolded Kikyo looked over at the sleeping Kagome “So this little reincarnation did that to him!” she said disgustedly “I know where Sesshomaru’s castle is at, I will take you there.”
“You will!?” asked Miroku and Sango, Shippo was asleep on Kagome’s back.
“Yes” she smiled evilly “just so my reincarnation can watch Inu Yasha follow me to hell!”
The two knew that they did not have much choice Sesshomaru’s castle was hidden very well. They sighed and began walking again following Kikyo, Kagome stirred and looked through blurry eyes to see red ahead of the group. Inu Yasha always walked in front she sat up quickly wiping her eyes “INU YASHA!?” she asked but as her vision cleared she saw it was Kikyo.
Kikyo heard her call out to Inu Yasha and turned to smile smugly at her reincarnation, and watched as Kagome’s eyes turned from haess ess to fear before fainting on Kilala’s back Shippo of course had been thrown off when Kagome had waken up and was now on Miroku’s shoulder glaring at Kikyo. Everything quieted down and they continued walking.
Back at the Castle
Rin was holding Inu Yasha’s hand as they walked through the garden and they stopped in front of a pond to sit “Inu Yasha?” asked Rin nervously then thought, “Should I tell him I like him? He might not like me, wait why does it matter I don’t need to be scared of rejection, I need to know . . .”she spoke again “I have a question.”
“Yeah?” he replied.
She was not sure how to express this to him so she turned his face to look at her, and looked at those lips wanting to taste him and leaned forward and kissed him.
