Kagome sat at work thinking of Yasha. Sure, the teenage hanyou could be hard to handle at times, but now she was beginning to think more that Yasha was hiding the truth from anyone and everyone. Six o'clock approached and she was finally off. She drove home and entered the house to find Inuyasha asleep on the couch with their son. Apparently, Taka had a nightmare and wouldn't go to sleep. She smiled and pulled the blanket over them before walking upstairs to check on the others. Shippo was knocked out dead to the world as usual, but once she entered Yasha's room, she was surprised to see her awake and sitting in a small alcove near her window.

"Yasha?" she asked walking in the room. "Usually you're asleep right now." "I couldn't sleep," Yasha sighed. "I had too much on my mind." "Come sit here with me," Kagome said. Yasha sighed and slid down dropping to the floor and walked to Kagome. "Is it about what happened in school?" Kagome asked. Yasha glanced up slightly alarmed. "Yasha, you're showing priestess powers due to Kikyo, aren't you?" Kagome asked a firm edge to her voice. Yasha's dog ears flattened suddenly on the top of her head and she slowly nodded. "I'm scared," she whispered. "My demonic powers are maturing as well and they seem to be mixing in with them. Mom, if Dad finds out..." Tears streamed from her copper eyes and Kagome held her close in her arms.

"Yasha, why didn't you tell me this?" she asked. "I know what being a miko is like. I'm Kikyo's reincarnation, remember?" "I was scared you'd tell Dad," Yasha said her voice squeaking. "Now, who said I'd tell Inuyasha?" she asked. "You tell him everything," Yasha said seriously. Kagome sighed. She had a point. "Yasha, he needs to know," she said. The hanyou jerked from Kagome's grip shaking her head. "No!" she said angrily. "I don't even know why I told you! I thought I could trust you, Kagome! You've helped me through so much. Now, I can't!" She ran off and left the house without looking back. Inuyasha walked upstairs carrying his sleeping son in his arms. "Was that Yasha?" he asked. Kagome nodded and sighed.

Yasha didn't stop running. She didn't want to stop. She was scared and didn't know what to do. She arrived at the Higurashi shrine suddenly and walked inside the old well house sniffing. Her staff sat nearby since she left it there most of the time. She picked it up feeling the power within it. "Miroku will know what to do," she whispered as she jumped in the well and headed toward the Feudal Era for the first time in years. She arrived hearing the sounds of battle around her. She climbed out to find a demon attacking nearby humans. Old Kaede was injured and Miroku and Sango were at their wits ends. Yasha held her staff and nodded.

"Lady Kaede, we must retreat!" Miroku shouted. "This demon is too powerful!" "Aye, but it will chase us no matter what!" Kaede said seriously. Just then, Yasha ran up and slammed her staff into the ground. "FLAME OF THE SOUL!" she shouted using her ultimate attack. The ground opened up and fire shot from the cracks as the demon screamed feeling them carry him to hell. The ground returned to normal and Yasha pulled her staff out of the ground. "A hanyou!" Sango said in shock. "Sango, it's me!" Yasha chuckled. "Yasha!" "Yasha?!" everyone said in shock. "It's been nine years since you've last been here," Miroku chuckled and hugged her close. "They've been friendly to you." Yasha blushed and returned the embrace.

Kaede walked to her niece and Yasha smiled. Sango also hugged her as well. "Where's Inuyasha and the others?" she asked. "I came on my own accord," Yasha sighed. "I've come to ask for help."

Later that afternoon, Yasha and Miroku walked alone to the nearby lake and sat down. "You seem concerned of sorts," the monk said seriously. She glanced at him and nodded. "My priestess powers have awakened," she said quietly. "What?" he asked in shock. She nodded. "The worst part is, so have my demonic powers," she sighed. "Miroku, if the two mix together, disaster could happen in Tokyo and I can't risk harming my family or anything. I don't know what to do anymore. I'm scared." He sighed heavily. "You need training to gain control of them, Yasha," he said seriously. "Your uncle Sesshomaru might be the one to turn to for your demonic powers. As for pri priestess, Kagome would be a wise choice." "Sesshomaru lives here, Miroku," she said flatly. "Kagome is back home." "Does Inuyasha know of this?" he asked. "By now he does," she sighed. "I didn't want him to know. I was scared to hurt him."

Back in the modern world, Inuyasha grew worried as he checked out every area Yasha usually hung out. "Where is that girl?" he asked when there was one other place she could be. But he seriously doubted she'd return to the feudal era. She had grown adjusted to this world and to return after nine years would be impossible. Just then, his cell phone rang and he grabbed it. "Inuyasha, it's me," Kagome said. "I spoke to mom and she said Yasha's staff is gone. Either someone stole it or Yasha's in the Feudal Era." "I'll be right over," he said and hung up. *Damn, Yasha,* he thought. *This isn't like you. What's wrong, baby? Let us help you through this!* Kagome sighed nodding. She never told Inuyasha about what happened to his daughter. But somehow, she knew it had to happen.

Yasha knew the journey to the Western Lands would be difficult. But since her demonic powers were stronger, Sesshomaru was her first option before returning home. She knew the rivarly between her uncle and her father. It lasted for years even before she was born. Then Sesshomaru tried to use her to get to the Tetsusaiga since she sow maw managed to be able to use it. But nine years have passed since she left to have surgery to repair her blind eyes and to see her father marry Kagome and then have Taka, her little brother. But the sooner she could get moving, the better she'd be. Now dressed in the common priestess garb of the era, the young hanyou gathered her staff and began her journey to locate her uncle.

Inuyasha sniffed around the well and nodded. "She's there," he said seriously. Kagome sighed. "Inuyasha, don't be angered when I tell you this," she said seriously. "But it's something you should know about Yasha."
