A/n: Hi hi all. ^^; Here's the third chappie. Is Inu-kun gonna save his little Kaogme-chan? ^.^ I love them as a couple And for all of you who didn't read my other un-finished ( ^^;;) story, I HATE KIKYOU!!! And Houjo. He's always a'gettin in the way. Well here we go, third chappie. Please review. It tells me if i'm doing well or not. ^^; Thanks to all my reviewers as well! Wuff oo to you all! ^.^

Kikyou turned, her hands dropping her hands to her side. " Inuyasha!" She exclaimed surprised as she turned completely around. " Why, whatever is wrong my love?"

" Shut it Kikyou. Don't you dare hurt Kagome!!" He halted in front of Kikyou, an unusual look settled in his golden orbs.

Kagome just stared. ' Was..Was he there..all along?' Without thinking, she ran out from behind the miko obstructing her path, until she reached Inuyasha's side. ' Did he hear me?'

Inuyasha laid a pair of concerned eyes on the girl beside him. " Did she hurt you?" he asked, a rare tone of worry and concern creeping into his voice. A clawed hand reached out, settling on the shoulder closest to him.

" No.." she answered meakly, looking up at him. ' How the hell can he act so worried? I'm only his SHARD DETECTOR after all! But, that look..in his eyes...' Kagome scooted closer to Inuyasha, taking the chance, as she layed her head on the side of his chest closest to his shoulder.

Inuyasha soon switched his hand to her farthest shoulder, accepting the touch she had so quickly answered. It was much appreciated after all the worry she had caused him. But would she be alive right now if he had been just that bit more careless?

" But Inuyasha..." Kikyou answered confused as she stood flabergasted. Kagome couldn't touch Inuyasha like that! But Inuyasha was holding.. her ..back! ' How dare he?! He's promised himself to me! Not that bitch!' " Inuyasha what the hell are you doing? I was going to take back what was rightfully mine! So I could be with you!"

" That soul is not your Kikyou." he answered, his grip on Kagome's shouder increasing. " It's hers now. And you will not take it from her!!" He lashed out. This was it. As hard as it was, he knew now was the time to take Kikyou away from the misery that evil witch doctor had caussed her by bringing her back.

" Inuyasha!? What are you saying! Why are you protecting her?" She finished desperatly, as she watched the stern look etched into Inuyasha's handsome features. " You promised yourself to me!!"

" I did no such thing, Kikyou. I once loved you, yes. But now I realize that was more of an adoration. We were more like best friends than anything else! I swore to protect you from harm Kikyou, and I failed you. And i'm indebted to you." At this he paused, regretfully releasing his hold on Kagome, and pushing her behind him protectfully. " And now, I will end my debt." Quickly he unsheathed tetsusaiga, allowing the sword/giant fang to grow to it's enourmous size.

" INUYASHA YOU BASTARD!! HOW COULD YOU!?" Were the last words of the miko as Inuyasha struck, a single tear falling from his eyes. " Goodbye kikyou." He whispered. " Rest in peace, my friend." He turned to Kagome as the final remanents of dust that was kikyou floated into the air, the souls of the dead following. But one small floating orb remained. ( Okay I don't know if this is possible..but I'm gonna make it possible for this time k? lol. ) But before he said anything he turned back to where Kikyou had been, where the blue orb still floated. Gently he coaxed it into his hand, and held it gently. Slowly he turned toward Kagome, careful of the fragile thing he held so dearly in his hand.

" Kagome, I-I'm sorry for, for everything mean,i've ever sad to you." ' You could have picked a better word bozu.." he scolded himself mentally. This may as well be the most important moment in his whole life. And he damn well wasn't going to screw up like he did every other god damn he talked to the girl. " I..You know, I never meant any of it. I really didn't!"

Kagome couldn't help but let all of her left over pent up anger cave, at the begging look in his eyes. Like he was begging her to believe everyword he said. she couldn't stay mad at him, she never could.. He was her damn weakness, and gods did she let it show.

He stopped before her, allowing his other hand to carefully cup the glowing object in both his hands, fearing the object would fly away before he accomplished what he so badly needed to. " And Kagome, I heard what you said to Kikyou.." Inuyasha tried to hold back the blush he knew was probably flashing across his face, as it was on Kagome. " And Kagome, it made me realize what I have known for a long time now. You were right. You always are there for me, and you have been..when-when things have gone wrong! You have never let me down, your always by my side, and..and you accept me for me Kagome! You don't care if i'm one or the other, whether I'm a hanyou or not. And no one besides mother has ever done that!" He took a deep breath as he prepared for what he knew was coming next. ' Why the hell is telling someone something so simple so damn hard?!' " Aishteiru Kagome..." he murmured softly, and at this he lowered his lips to hers, claiming them in a all to sweet kiss ( ^-^)

Kagome had watched him all through the voicing of his relizations, the happiness and love inside her growing at every word. ' He...He..Can I dare to hope?' He had understood everything she has said to kikyou in the she had always hoped he would! But as he murmured the last of his words to her she felt something deep inside her cave, something she had been hiding for so long. He knew, finally, and the heaviness of her thoughts, wishes, and hopes of him feeling the same were lifted, flying off like into the air, like kikyou's remains had but minutes before.

Inuyasha finally released one of his hands from the glowing orb, which was now pulsating quite calmly in his left hand. Slowly, careful not to break the kiss that he was pouring all he pent up emotions in, he brought the orb and his hand up so it was level with the area right below Kagome's heart. Slowly he pressed his hand, and the orb to the area, blushing slightly as his lower arm brished up against one of her firm breasts.

The blue orb immediatly shot into it's owner, causing Kagome's body to be surrounded by a soft bluelight.

Deep inside herself Kagome felt something click, something return that had been missing for so long. Missing for so long it seemed her body didn't remember it. She slowly broke the kiss, her eyes glowing with unshead tears. She raised her hand to cover Inuyasha's as she just stared up into his beautiful golden eyes. " Aishteiru mo Inuyasha."

A/n: WHOOT! That was soooo cute! I adore fluff, so I hope those who don't out there don't hate me for this chapter. And I apologize to those Kikyou lover's out there. But put it this way, shes finally been laid to rest by the one of whom she loves! -^^- ::tears:: lol. Well please review1 I really like to see how I am doing!
