Sango sighed heavily as Inuyasha continued to nag at Kagome. “Oi, wench, you do know its been three years right?” Inuyasha said bitterly, hoping Kagome would blow up soon.
Unfortunately for Kagome, Inuyasha believed putting her through constant bitching, was perfect punishment for her lies. Kagome bit down on her lip, feeling her tolerance running on a thin line.
“Yes!, three long years” she said rather hotly. Miroku, who had been walking next to Kagome, Sango, and Shippou, slowed his pace down so that he was now walking with the hanyou.
“Inuyasha, I wouldn’t go testing Kagome today, she doesn’t seem to well, we’re almost to Kaede’s hut so lets just be silent until then” Miroku said in a warning tone. “Feh” Was all Inuyasha gave as an answer to the Monk.
Sango however, was able to overhear Miroku’s warning, and she singed for what felt like the hundredth time today. The daemon exterminator gave her best friend a long hurtful look. ’why wont she trust me enough to tell me what’s wrong, its been over two weeks and it just seems like she’s just becoming more distant…’
Her thoughts though were soon interrupted by Inuyasha. “Wench, why haven’t you been doing your job well enough? I’m sick of this shard hunting!” Inuyasha continued from where the Monk had cut him off.
Kagome clenched her teeth. Not only had was Inuyasha being completely disrespectful to her, she had run out of coke to be able to tolerate the hanyou. Plus her head was swimming in pain, and her stomach had started to mildly hurt.
Her tolerance was running on a very thin line. “What are you talking about? I’ve already helped you retrieve three more shards, plus we almost have the whole jewel complete” It had taken a lot for Kagome to say that without yelling.
Inuyasha smiled evilly as he knew Kagome’s barrier was breaking. “Well if I would have know it was going to take this long I wouldn’t have sided with a useless bitch like you” He said still smiling.
Kagome stopped suddenly, causing everyone else to fallow, all three staring wide eyed at the two. Kagome turned to face the hanyou. Inuyasha could smell her angry tears ready to erupt.
Inuyasha was debating weather to tell her that ‘only a stupid wench like you would start crying now’ When a force sent him to the ground, knocking the wind out of him.
When Inuyasha opened his eyes, he stared unbelievably at Kagome’s anger filled face. Kagome had straddled Inuyasha’s stomach, after she had successfully knocking him down.
Before the hanyou could push her off him, Kagome’s fist collided into the side of his face. Inuyasha could only lay where he was, mouth agape, in shock of what Kagome had just done. Which he soon realized was a bad mistake, since it left Kagome another opportunity to repeat her actions.
A opportunity she took. Kagome sent another punch into his chest. “Why do you hate me so much!” Kagome yelled as she continued to pound on his chest, although fortunately for Inuyasha, a lot less powerful.
Inuyasha continued to lay motionless on the ground, staring wide eyed at Kagome’s tear stained face. It had took both Miroku and Sango to pull Kagome off of Inuyasha. Shippou soon ran over to Miroku as he helped the shock stricken hanyou, from off the ground.
“Are you ok Inuyasha?” The kitsune asked, surprisingly worried. Inuyasha only ignored him, as he stared dumbly at Kagome.
Who had now crumbled into Sango’s embrace, crying uncontrollably. Sango stared back shock written all over her face, as she hugged Kagome protectively.

Kagome sat alone outside of Kaede’s hut, staring numbly at her right hand. She could hear the others retell the story, of what had happen between her and the hanyou, to Kaede.
Kagome sighed in frustration and grabbed her portable CD player from her bag. She already knew what she had done. She didn’t need to hear it being retold.
She placed the head phones on, and pressed the play button. Soon a slow song filled her ears…
I hurt myself today
To see if I still feel

Kagome quickly tore the head phones from off of her head and threw the CD player as far as she could from her, her chest heaving in anger. Kagome soon felt a sharp pain in her gut.
She clenched her stomach tightly as the pain quickly escalated. Biting her lip she managed to pull herself up and make her way into the hut.
Everyone had stopped talking when they heard Kagome entering the hut. Kagome stood in the doorway, hand still clutching at her abdomen, staring at everyone.
Sango was sitting next to Miroku, who had a sleeping Shippou curled up against his side. Kaede was sitting in front of a large kettle, preparing everyone’s meal.
Kagome’s eyes soon came upon the emotionless hanyou, who only stared back at her blankly. She noticed the small gash her ring had made on Inuyasha cheek, and grimaced at the thought that she had caused that.
“I’m going back home for a few hours, I need to get some things” She said quickly not taking her eyes off the gash on the hanyou’s cheek. She wanted to run over, despite the pain she felt, and hold onto Inuyasha while telling him everything.
But she knew that it would only make him hate her even more. However, Inuyasha was fitting his own little battle in his head, that would only prove Kagome’s theory wrong.

“Kagome are you ok? Why are you holding your stomach?” Sango asked worriedly. Miroku looked equally concerned, as Inuyasha was to busy in his own thoughts to take in anything that had been said.
“I’m fine, its just really bad cramps” Kagome lied, picking up her bag and made her way out of the hut. Inuyasha was so preoccupied that he hadn’t even noticed Kagome’s disappearance.
’I’m such an ass! How can I make such a beautiful person like Kagome lash out like that? Am I that horrible?’ Inuyasha thought over and over again. Inuyasha was soon brought back to reality when he heard.
“Kagome must be feeling awful over what had happen” Kaede said more to Inuyasha then to anyone else. Inuyasha looked quickly around the hut, but couldn’t find her. “Oi, where’s the wench?” he said, trying to hide the concern in his voice, but failed miserably.
“baka! Haven’t you been paying any attention! She left home to ‘get some things’ “ Sango said irritably. Inuyasha soon got up to go after her, but was soon stopped by Miroku’s ’all knowing’ voice.
“Just let her be, she just needs to think things out, don’t worry she said she will be back in a few hours” He said, saying the last part more reassuringly. Inuyasha was going to object, but then plopped down on the floor obeying.
He didn’t want to cause Kagome any more distress. “Kaede, do you think something can be possessing Kagome?” Sango asked. When she received an awkward glance from her companions she added.
“Well…it just seems to fit with her strange behavior” she said looking down at the floor. Kaede was about to respond but then she was cut off.
“I think I would be able to smell a daemon possessing her” Inuyasha said not attempting at all to hide any annoyance in his voice. “not all possessions lead to a daemon, Inuyasha” Kaede said wisely while preparing bowls of food for everyone.
“maybe its something in her time” Miroku suggested as he accepted a bowl, and handing it to Sango. Inuyaignoignored the rest of the conversation as he looked toward the direction of the doorway, where Kagome had just left without him noticing.
His amber eyes staring thoughtfully at the now setting sun, wondering what he could possibly do to help his Kagome.

A new sharp, and unbelievably even more painful, pain filled her. She feel to her knees and bit down hard on her lip to keep from screaming. She was about to break the door down when it swung open.
Kagome looked up to a dark hair, slightly tanned, well toned man. He looked to be in about his mid-twenties. “Where’s Jade” She managed to get out while gasping for air.
“He’s gone out on a sell, what do you need?” The man asked, with an empty expression on his . .
“I’M SICK! WHAT THE FUCK DO YOU THINK I NEED! I FEEL LIKE I’M BEING STABBED TO FUCKING DEATH! SO ARE YOU GOING TO HELP ME OR NOT!” Kagome yelled out in pain, as she clutched herself more fiercely now.
“Ok, ok, no yelling needed dear” He said as he helped her into the living room. Kagome laid on the sofa, getting into a fetal position.
She hadn’t even noticed the man had left until she looked up and saw him walking toward her with a syringe in his hand. Kagome had a look of fright as he approached her with it.
“hey idiot, I don’t shoot up” She said pushing herself up. “Listen little girl, I’m doing you a favor, so at least pretend to be a little grateful, this is all that’s left, and Jade wont be back for a while…stherther wait in misery, or have a nice high while you wait” He said sounding a little annoyed.
“I said I don’t shoot up” Kagome said through clenched teeth. The man smiled “Fine, I’ll take it then” He said, and started to position the needle.
“Wait!” Kagome yelled, as a new pain filled her. “Fine, but you do it” The man chuckled and pulled off the elastic band that had been wrapped around his arm.
He sat next to her and placed it around her arm securely. “So what’s your name“ He asked as he slapped her arm for a vein.
“Kagome, you?” She said as she watched him place the needle in. “Its Luke, I’m Jade’s younger brother” Kagome nodded as she watched her blood mix with the liquid in the syringe, and then be pushed into her vein.
“so what is this shit anyway?” Kagome asked, as she felt instant relief. Luke let out another soft chuckle. “morphine my de Kag Kagome only nodded as she fell back into the sofa.
