Who or What is Kagome?

"Inuyasha! I have to go home! My birthday is tomorrow!"

"I dont see why its so important!" Inuyasha yelled. Kagome glared at him.

"SSIIIIIITTTTTTT!!!!!" She screamed and ran to the well. She jumped in and ran to her house. As soon as she walked in she noticed something was up. The lights were out and she walked over to turn them on. As soon as she did, a roomful of people yelled 'SURPRISE'. Kagome gasped. Her mom had thrown an early surprise party. Or either her friends did. Kagome smiled and then she began partying with everyone else. After she ate pizze and cake, the party slowly died down. Five hours after the party started, the last person left. Kagome's mom walked into the room then.

"Honey.......I have to tell you something........" They both sat down on the couch.

"What?" Kagome asked curiosly.

Her mom sighed. "You see.....oh.....well.....you......"

"Yes?"

"Kagome...you are originally from the past..."

"WHAT?!" Kagome stood up shocked.

"Sit down hun....you see...a few months after your father and I wree married....we had a cat....he somehow managed to get into the well house. I seardhed for him all night. I finally fohim.him. He was curled up neo a o a bundle. I walked over to it curois. When I picked up the bundle, I found out that it was a baby......You, Kagome. It had a note attached." She pulled something out of her pocket and handed it to Kagome.

Kagome took it and opened it. A letter fell out. Kagome slowly read the letter out loud.


Please take care of my daughter Kagome. I am sorry to leave her. I never wanted to. But I realized that it was too dangerous for her in this era. So therefore I brought her here. Please tell her of her true home on her 17th birthday. She will change into her true form on her 17th birthday. Her birthday is November 6th. I know this isn't a very good explanation, but tell her also to come looking for us when she is old enough. We will be waiting......,


"Mamma...what does this mean? Change into my true form?"

"I honostly have know idea. I want you to go to the past and look for them. You need to know who you are. I love you sweetie. Come back anytime you want to dear." They hugged tightly and Kagome stuck the note in her pocket. She ran upstairs to pack some clothes. Tears trailed down her cheeks as she grabbed her bag and went back to the feudal era. Inuyasha was waiting near the well.

\t tit time Ka- What's wrong?" Inuyasha asked as he saw her tears.

"I....was born in this era....I....My mamma....she's not my real mom.....Inuyasha? I have to find my real parents. They are waiting for me to return to them. Can we leave....now?"

"Uh...sure....I guess." Inuyasha replied. They went to the village and got Miroku, Sango, Shippo and Kirara. Then they gathered their things and began their search. Kagome told the others her story as they were walking. They set up camp for the night and everyone gradually fell asleep.

Kagome felt something rushing through her. She opened her eyes and stood up feeling dizzy. She rested her hand against a tree to steady herself. It was close to midday already. *How could I sleep in like that?* She asked herself. She looked around to find no one. Then Miroku entered the camp and Sango soon after. Sango's hair was wet and she looked really upset. Miroku had a huge handprint on his face and Kagome guess what happened. About five minutes later Inuyasha jumped down from the trees.

"What's up?" Kagome asked cheerfully.

"My brother. Damn him."

"Come on Inuyasha. Remember the alliance?" Kagome asked. Inuyasha blinked a couple of times.

"Yeah. Now I remember." He sighed and jumped back into the tree. Sesshomaru soon landed. As usual he wore his mask. Kagome smiled at him.

"So? What do you need?" She asked still smiling.

"Don't you sense it? Naraku. He's near."

Inuyasha jumped down. "How do you know?"

"Little brother, my senses are much more sensitive then yours. I can smell him coming."

And soon enough Naraku appeared. He smiled mishieveiosly. "So. The Lord of the Western Lands has formed an alliance with his half borhter. How amusing. Oh. And what's this?" He said looking at Kagome. "Your powers....they are raising even as we speak."

Kagome looked up at him confused. Then the dizziness came back to her. Her whole body began to glow a light blue. She could feel her body changing. All her friends around her gasped. Her hair grew down to her hips and changed to a slightly dark purple. Her ears pointed and she grew claws and fangs. Then her eyes changed to an even darker shade of reddish violet. A blue teardrop appeared in the center of her forehead. Kagome looked down at her hands and flexed her fingers. Her nails were slightly sharper.

"Ah. So the girl isn't human. She's not demon either... From what I can tell......her powers can almost rival Lord Sesshomaru's." Naraku said laughing.

"Why don't you shut up and fight Naraku!" Kagome yelled. "Or.... Are you afraid?"

"You think that I, Naraku, would be afraid? In your transformation you must have lost your mind!"

"No. I haven't. We have to kill Naraku now." Inuyasha nodded and drew his sword. he began attacking Naraku. Naraku dodged every swing and Inuyasha was only wearing himself out. This continued for at least fifteen minutes. Sesshomaru got bored and decided her would start battling. He pulled Tokijin and slashed an unexpected Naraku. Naraku's wrist and down was cut off. Tentacles began attacking everything in sight. Kagome, Sango, Miroku, Kirara, and Shippo fought them off as more smaller demons joined in the fight.

Kagome created small sheilds against all her friends. Everyone glowed a light blue. Kagome reached behind her back and found no arrows. Whe looked in front of her as a golden bow faded into veiw right in front of her. 'Take the bow....and imagine that you are about to fire an arrow......' Kagome gasped. *Who said that?* After hearing no one, she decided to trust the voice. She grabbed the bow and imagined an arrow and pulled back. She put her power into the imaginary arrow and let it fly. A blueish yellow ball of light flew at Naraku. It hit him in the heart. His body disingrated and they realized it was just a puppet.

Kagome removed the shields and fell to her knees. "Wow....." She said looking at the bow in her hands. It began to fade away. "Hey!" 'It will only appear when you need it...'

"Kagome! What did you do?!" Inuyasha ran up to her.

"When I tried to use my bow....I didn't have any arrows left....then a golden bow just...apeared right in front of me....a voice told me to imagine an arrow. I did and a giant ball of light just shot at Naraku. I don't know how I did it...." Kagome's vision blurred slighly and she passed out.
