Ch. 3 Who knew it would hurt so much

Kouga Stood on a cliff holding the vile of gray goop the elders had giving him. In his mind he was think of ways so make Kagome forgive him for what he was about to do. He had no doubts that she would be beyond angry with him after it was done. Only in Kouga’s mind did this whole scheme seem like a good Idea. Ginta had begged him to reconsider, saying that Kagome nee-son wasn’t the kind of girl that you bound he told her it would break her spirit. Kouga just clocked him on the head and told him to mind his own business.

The wind changed direction, and Kagome's location was reveled. She was traveling with her whole group again so he wasn’t going to have to see the mutt all over Kagome again. Jumping off the cliff, he hit the ground in a tornado.

*On the road again*

“On the road again, just can’t wait to get on the road again” Kagome sang under her breath. She blushed when Inuyasha gave her a “What the hell is wrong with you” look. “What kind of sorcery was that?” he asked, with the same look but know he was inches from her face.

“Aaah” she screamed and shoved him back, “Do you always have to get in people’s faces like that…it wit wasn’t sorcery it was a song in a foreign language.” Kagome stood there trying to recover from her blush. Now I know you must be wondering why Kagome would act this way. It’s simple really; upon waking in the morning Inuyasha and Kagome were greeted with taunts and teases from the not so friendly friends. So now Kagome was trying to keep hestanstance from Inuyasha so they wouldn’t get teased anymore. She didn’t want Inuyasha to blow up and give everyone headaches with his barking.

Inuyasha saw her blush and it was contagious. He quickly turned his back to the girl and mumbled something about stupid noisy humans and fucking annoying brats. Inuyasha started walking. He walked a couple of yards and realized they weren’t fallowing him. He was about to turn around and yell for them to hurry up. When he caught Kouga’s sent on the wind. He turned around fully, and looked in Kagome’s direction. She was standing there looking tired. She looked back at him, and almost fell to the ground. The look on his face was one of pure joy.

“Inuyasha don’t you dare make this any worse then it already will be, or by the gods you’ll never be allowed in my sleeping bag again” she yelled at him, his smirks falter for a moment. Miroku had a blissful look on his face. Sango looked like a cherry, and Shippo looked like he hoped Inuyasha would make things worse.

Inuyasha was still yards away from Kagome when Kouga’s whirl wind stopped right in front of Kagome. Inuyasha growled loud enough to shake the trees, when the wolf youkai grasped Kagome’s hands. “RRRRRRRRR…KOUGA YOU BASTARD GET YOU HANDS OFF OF KAGOME” He howled.

Kagome looked from Kouga to Inuyasha. To Kagome it looked as though the only think keeping Inuyasha, Inuyasha was tessiaga. She panicked and subdued him. Kouga let go of Kagome’s hands. She turned back to Kouga about to try and persuade him to leave. When she looked up at Kouga he had a gray vile in his s. s. He popped the cork and then looked at her with apologetic eyes. She suddenly wished she hadn’t subdued Inuyasha.

“I’m sorry Kagome but I can’t let him have you” he said in a small voice as he grabbed her chin and savagely squeezed to make her open her mouth. He held a pressure point on her neck with one clawed finger. She was unable to move, she could hear Inuyasha yelling as he struggled against the spell that held him down. “Don’t you move, any of you, if you do I’ll kill her, I’d rather her wait for me in heaven then give her to that piece of shit” Satisfied that non of Kagome mobile companions where going to advance, he pored the gray liquid in Kagome’s mouth. It hit the back of her mouth and some trickled down her throat. She constricted her throat and took in a breath to spit it out. Kouga put his mouth over hers. Kagome’s breathe want out her noise and she swallowed half the liquid in her mouth. Suddenly her tongue started to tingle like it was going numb, it swelled pushing past her lips and into Kouga’s waiting mouth. Kouga placed his tongue on top of Kagome’s and bit down. His fangs pierced both his and her tongues. The painful shock forced her to swallow the last of the liquid in her mouth. Her tongue went back to normal and she pulled in back into her mouth, taking both hers and Kouga’s blood into her mouth. She swallowed it down with all the saliva that her wounded tongue was making.

Kouga took a step back, releasing the hold on her pressure point. Inuyasha had been waiting for him to let go of her. With the ferocity he usually reserved for Naraku, Inuyasha attacked. Kagome fell to her knees with a dazed look in eye.eye. Sango and Shippo approached Kagome, calling her name. She turned and looked at them with a helpless expression. She turned her gaze back to her hands. She let out a pain filled moan; she pushed Shippo away from her. Kagome’s helpless expression turned to one of terror and pain. “Kagome what’s wrong” Sango asked and inched closer to put a hand on her shoulder. Kagome jerked away from her hand and scooted back away from them. “HOUSHI…Something is wrong” She screamed as she ran to get him.

Miroku turned away from the two enraged combatants when he heard Sango yell. He to Sango first and then over to Kagome. To his eyes her aura was flaring dangerously. He ran grabbed Sango’s hand and ran to KirarHe lHe lifted her up despite her protest and set her on Kirara’s back. He jumped on Kirara’s back behind Sango and ordered the cat to get Shippo and fly to a safe distance.

“Houshi, I swear if you don’t tell me what the hell is goinon Ion I’ll push you off” She was pissed that he was running away instead of helping Kagome.

“I’m sorry, my dear Sango but it’s too dangerous to be around Kagome-sama at this moment” He said and a gravely serious voice. Sango was taken aback by the sound of his voice. She looked down at her friend that had become family alone there journey together. She suddenly became very afraid.

Back on the ground Kagome’s body was wracked with pain. She thought for sure that she was dieing. She didn’t want to die without telling him. She struggled to form the only word that was er mer mind at that moment, “Iii…nnu..yassh..a”.

Kouga and Inuyasha both stopped cold when they heard her small plea. Inuyasha wiped around and faced Kagome. She was struggling to stand. A light like a flame was coming up from the ground in a circle around Kagome. It was pink color of her aura with a ring of blue around the top of it. The strange beauty of it held him spellbound, he couldn’t move to her even as she cried out his name.

Kouga was in shock. Did he make a mistake somewhere. Pain rapped it self around his heart. He watched her struggle against her pain trying to stand just so she could reach out to the hanyou. He didn’t know how long her body could stand the amount of energy that her soul seemed to be giving out. The more she fought to move the more the disturbance in her aura seemed to get. “STOP KAGOME YOU’LL KILL YOUSELF, WHY’S HE SO IMPORTANT TO YOU ANYWAY” he screamed at her.

Kouga’s statement brought Inuyasha back to reality. He looked back at Kouga and he looked frantic. He looked back at Kagome. He caught the sent of youki swirling around inside the circle of power that was now surrounding her. She was screaming out in pain now floating off the ground. The wind inside thecle cle was tarring her clothes to shreds. He could smell the blood from the cuts she was getting from her hair wiping around. His insides froze, this could not be happening. He took off running at the circle. Maybe if he could just get to her and take her out of all this energy then he could save her. He ran strait at the circle and was repelled back by it several hundred feet. He struggled to his feet, that had been like when Kikyo and blasted him with her miko power, but unlike Kikyo’s power it hurt both his youki and his human energy. He looked down at his arm the fire rat and the under kimono sleeve were melted away. His arm looked like it was in the first stage of healing a third degree burns. He turned to blame the wolf, but an earth shattering scream erupted from Kagome’s throat. He gut twisted, there was blood leakingm hem her mouth, ears, and noise.

His mind cried out, ‘It can’t happen again’. His heart demanded to be heard, pride be damned, “NOOOOOOO…KAGOME DON’T LEAVE ME” he started to run at Kagome again. Kirara swooped down in front of Inuyasha and Miroku through a couple of o—§
