Chapter 3 The Mating


Sesshomaru smirked at what Kagome had just said, she was still panting, squirming and her breathing was
a little labored she looked simply ravishing. He lifted her off the tree trunk bridal style and quickly took
her toward the hot springs. He made it there in a matter of seconds, and gently laid Kagome down on
the soft blades of grass on the edge of the spring.

Kagome sat up looking at her surroundings, "This is exactly the way I pictured it would be" she said as
she looked up into Sesshomaru's eyes.

"What did you picture, Kagome" Sesshomaru said as he kneeled down to sit beside her gently stroking his

"I've dreamed of this moment everythings the same, the flowers, the hot spring, the trees everything."
she said while looking around to once more letting her eyes fall to Sesshomaru.

"What about the person whom you wish to be here with you now." He said with a little sadness in his voice.
He was sure she wanted to be here with Inuyasha and not him.

Kagome looked down, smiled and said,"You know thats the strange thing about my dream," Sesshomaru.

"Whats so strange my dear Kagome", he said with a slight smile.

"It's strange but in my dream, I wasn't with Inuyasha". I was with the person I truly loved and its
wasn't him. This man I fell in love with him the first time I saw him, and I couldn't stop thinking
about him. Everytime I seen or thought about him, It would feel like a million butterflies where dancing
in my stomach. I asked my mom what it meant, and she told me that I was falling in love with someone,
Kagome laughed and said, "My mom thought it was Inuyasha", but I told her who it really was.

"Who was he Kagome?" Sesshomaru whispered in her ear as he moved a little closer to her.

She placed Sesshomaru's long fingers in her small ones and gently caressed them and said, "I told my
mom that I was falling in love with Inuyasha's brother, Sesshomaru. Its you Sesshomaru, you were
here with me in my dream. It didn't matter nuyanuyasha was with Kikyou, it did hurt. But it was you
who stole my heart. I could never love Inuyasha the way that I love you, Sesshomaru.

He wrapped his arms around her waist and pulled her into his lap. He began to run his fingers through
her hair and she twirled her fingers around his silvery locks. One of his hands moved from her waist up
the small or bar back to her face where he caressed her cheek softly.

"Kagome I have always had feelings for you, I didn't understand it at first. But the more I saw you with
my brother the more these feelings came to the surface. I came to tell you how I felt about you, I had
no idea you felt the same until now." I love you and I want you to be my mate, Kagome."

Kagome couldn't believe what she was hearing. Sesshomaru, a demon who has always hated humans was
asking her, a human to become his mate. The shock was overwhelming to her. Never had anly male
in her time or in feudal Japan has ever asked for her hand, and now the most powerful, and the most
handsome being in both worlds wanted her to be his mate. There was only one word she could come up
with.

"Yes, Sesshomaru I will be honored to be your mate." she said with the biggest smile on her sweet little
face. Sesshomaru was happy beyond words, he couldn't speak if he wanted to. So he did the only thing
he could,he touched her cheek, he raised her head up and kissed her softly.
