Golden Eyes

Sesshoumaru heard the door open. He just finished fastening his obi when he turned to see his mate. He dropped tensaiga to the floor walking faster than he had ever done in his life as his heart was beating a mile a minute. She was stunning. Sesshoumaru had not ever seen a woman more beautiful than this one before his eyes. Those blue eyes looked up at him awaiting his verdict as if she was unsure of herself. They were so innocent and he saw that his magenta lines were now gracing her eyelids. Her eyelashes had become darker making those beautiful eyes stand out and the lip gloss made those kissable lips even more tantalizing. The armor was cut perfectly and she looked like his Queen rather than a demure female. Mirage looked formidable, but at the same time perfectly feminine. It was indeed perfect. She should always wear things like this.

"You take my breath away with your beauty Mirage."

Mirage looked up at Sesshoumaru who was in his human like form. Mirage touched his face willing him to become the demon he was. Sesshoumaru was in shock that she changed his illusion with a mere touch.

"Sesshoumaru I don't want you to hide who you are for my family. If they cannot accept you as you are then they don't deserve to know you. I love you just as you are. I am not going to hide this part of myself that you have given to me. Only when we have to go out to the lousy real world then fine we will play human. We are supposed to be with family now. We are supposed to be accepted for who we are so let us be who we really are as demons."

Sesshoumaru kissed Mirage passionately for these words. His heart opened up completely. It had still had one part closed off for so long hiding that last bit of love inside since in hiding who he was in this armor was breaking a part of him that he did not wish to deny for anyone. Mirage accepted him and would stand by him no matter what.

Mirage felt the stripes form on her cheeks and the crescent moon that graced Sesshoumaru's brow was on her own. He was indeed her true mate and her life mate. Sesshoumaru was the other half of her soul and it was fitting that this be her final form. Their markings matched except for the mating marks that showed the houses that they shared with their mates. Still as they stood together as the true King and Queen of all Demon kind they felt more alive right at that moment then they had felt their whole lives. Arm in arm they left the room to head into the great hall.

Everyone in the great hall had been waiting for the arrival of the wedding party. Inuyasha grumbled at Sesshoumaru that he was not hiding his form so why should he? Kagome and the others agreed so soon they were all in demon form as was the rest of the crowd. It was just that Inuyasha's ears were so damn noticeable. Sesshoumaru gave up on it though, it was not right to hide who they were. Mirage would have to explain to her human family later that evening. Sesshoumaru hoped they would not give her a hard time about it.

Each couple was introduced into the great hall with everyone bowing. First in line were Miroku and Sango.

"Introducing Lord Miroku Tashio and Lady Sango Tashio. Prince and Princess of the Northern tribes of the Wolf."

The tall handsome dark blood red haired man with the deep red eyes stated in a loud sexy low masculine voice as he introduced them all.

"The man introducing us Mirage is my Uncle Scales."

Sesshoumaru stated softly smiling. That meant his Father, Mother, Izayoi, Midoriko, Blades, and Robby were all here somewhere in the crowd. They would not miss this even with their world hopping. Sesshoumaru looked into the crowd to show Mirage his family and then saw Blades. Motioning in the direction of the handsome blonde man who had his arm around two silver haired demons that looked like Sesshoumaru the small group peered at them.

"Your Father is very handsome like you and your brother. I see though you got most of your looks from your Mother Sesshoumaru. She is beautiful. That man they are with...he is like me. He is a celestial isn't he?"

Sesshoumaru smiled and nodded.

"That is my Uncle Blades. Aunt Midoriko, Uncle Robby, and Aunt Izayoi are over there in the back of the room by the back doors. They don't like to be crowded."

Mirage smiled. His family was beautiful. It figured. Mirage saw her family and they looked very nice. None were arguing embarrassing her thank the heavens, but her little sister had to be wearing geisha make up like it was normal. Mirage felt ill.

"My little sister looks like a clown. Please forgive them, they just wanted to fit in and if they argue ignore it."

Sesshoumaru smiled and tried not to laugh. There were others dressed the same way in the crowd so she fit in. Mirage though could not stand that her little sister had to show off so much. It was embarrassing.

Scales then introduced Inuyasha, Kouga, and Kagome.

"Introducing Price Inuyasha Tashio, son of former King Touga Tashio, son of former Queen Izayoi Tashio, Lord of the Eastern Lands, and Lord of the Fang.’
“Introducing Prince Kouga Tashio, King of the Northern Wolves, Lord of the Claw.’
“Introducing Prince Kouga Tashio and Prince Inuyasha Tashio's mate Princess Kagome Tashio, Queen of the Northern Wolves, Lady of the Eastern Lands, Lady of the Fang, and Lady of the Claw."

Sesshoumaru then pointed out Kagome's family.

"They look like very nice people. I don't speak Japanese though Sesshoumaru. Your Uncle is really going out of his way to translate these introductions in all the languages of these people. It is really nice of him to do this."

Sesshoumaru smiled touching his mate's hand and kissing it.

"This is what he lives for and it is the proper way to do things. You will get used to it I promise. Now it is our turn my love."

Mirage felt his lips descend on hers. Then she looked him in the eyes.

"Just look into my eyes my love and then there is no one else in the world that matters. We are together and this is only family. We do not have to impress them. We are not here to do such things. We are here only to love each other."

Mirage then felt ten times better.

Scales cleared his throat and then there was some kind of music in the background. A regal sound, but Mirage did not pay attention she was lost in Sesshoumaru's gaze as they came forward smiling looking into each other's eyes as Lord Scales introduced them trying to find his voice again so that he was not staring at the two beautiful creatures that everyone else was also staring at in awe.

They were shining and beautiful with eyes only for each other. Scales swallowed hard then shook his head. This was his mate's son and the stunning woman was Sesshoumaru's mate. They were not something he could touch and he had to smile that that old feeling of attraction to beautiful beings after being mated all these years did not fade with time.

"Introducing King Sesshoumaru Tashio, son of former King Touga Tashio and Queen Luna Tashio, Inu No Tashio the Great Dog General, Father of Princess Rin Tashio, Father of Prince Bobby Tashio, Lord of the Western Lands, Lord of the Fang, brother of Prince Inuyasha Tashio, Lord of the Eastern Lands. Hail King Sesshoumaru. Ruler of us all."

Everyone repeated the hail King Sesshoumaru, bowing to greet their King although they were all family.

"Introducing Queen Mirage Tashio, daughter of Lady Mary Welsh, sister of Lady Miranda Thornberry, Mother of Prince Bobby Tashio, Mother of Princess Rin Tashio, mate of King Sesshoumaru Tashio, Lady of the Western Lands, Lady of the Fang, Hail Queen Mirage. Ruler of us all. May you both live long and well."

Everyone repeated the Hail Queen Mirage, bowing to greet their Queen and King then repeated the second line of 'may you both live long and well'. It felt old fashioned to Mirage like she really was in a different time. It was wonderful.

Glasses were raised to toast the young King and Queen as the two were handed goblets taking a sip then they headed over to where the priest was awaiting them. Miroku was dressed finely in the elegant robes of a royal priest.

Since this was a formal ceremony even with Miroku trying to hurry things up the dumb elders had to have their part in this mess. So it was rather amusing to watch the ceremony as Sesshoumaru kept growling at his Uncle Blades, Miroku, and Mirage to stop filling up people with their happy lights as they played this game through the whole boring procedures to keep everyone from falling asleep during the wedding ceremony.

His Father and Mother were not being helpful as they were pointing out to Blades who to zap next. Miroku caught on and soon Mirage was zapping people making his Uncles try not to start laughing hysterically like his Father was doing. Even Izayoi and Midoriko seemed to be getting into the game. Finally it was over with and they had shaken hands with everyone getting kisses from people some of them did not know that well since kids grow up so fast.

Sesshoumaru looked forward to the dance and after their first dance together he was in shock when his bride was stolen by his own Father. Inu No Tashio smirked and Izayoi then bowed slightly to Sesshoumaru who agreed to dance with her. It was time to set old pains aside and he never really hated this woman anyway. Now that he knew more about her things had changed a lot.

"My sons have excellent taste my dear. You look ravishing. My son is treating you well I hope."

Mirage blushed a bit. Inu No Tashio was so handsome like his sons. He knew it too which made him so confident it was fun to be around him. That top knot of his made the handsome demon man look like a bad little teenage boy rather than the 3000 year old demon Lord he truly was. Inu No Tashio looked as though he might be a brother to the two Inu brothers if not for the look in those eyes. His eyes held an ancient wisdom and a maturity that neither brother seemed to possess quite yet.

"Yes Sesshoumaru treats me very well my Lord. I love him very much. You have made both your sons very well. They are fine men. Sesshoumaru is the most wonderful man I have ever known and I only hope that our children will grow up to be as fine as he is."

There was a wide grin on the man's face as he felt his heart beating wildly. Sesshoumaru was indeed a fine boy and he was very proud of his sons even though they had hurt each other for many years. Then Inu No Tashio received a tap on his shoulder as Scales wanted a dance with the new bride. Inu No Tashio kissed Mirage on the cheek thanking her for the dance.

"So my nephew finally took a mate. It is about time and I must say he always did get the most beautiful women to fall for him not to mention the best looking men."

Mirage smiled widely. This man was absolutely gorgeous, but still in her heart nothing compared to Sesshoumaru. He did smell like blood though just as Sesshoumaru described.

"How is it that you are able to smell of blood all the time? It smells great Sir."

Mirage stated with a smirk. Scales seemed to be both surprised and pleased with this observation as he pulled Mirage closer into his arms smiling down at her with those dangerous fangs. Those eyes were definitely that of a dragon with almost a snake like charm to them. They were beautiful and unlike most reptiles there was nothing cold in them that would cause fear although Mirage was certain that if this man was provoked he could be quite formidable.

"Oh that is because I just fed a while ago. It is a trait I carry with me. I used to have that beautiful young creature you call your mate follow me around like a lost puppy since I smell like this. Now that he has grown into such a fine man I wish he still would do so. I would love to teach you both a thing or two, but alas I am an old mated dragon. I have a handful of my own and it looks like your mate does too. I would expect nothing less from that kid. He is my pride and joy.'
"Sorry to cut the dance short my dear, but I must have a shot at that little nephew of mine, Inuyasha. Everyone has messed with those funny ears except for me. It is my turn."

Scales pulled Mirage close kissing the moon on her forehead lingering there for a moment taking in her scent before rushing away to torment his little nephew. The pup had to bring out the ears so now it was becoming a free for all and everyone was getting a kick out of Inuyasha's foul mouth while Miroku and Kouga held him down. This was normal and Sesshoumaru almost had to laugh at it. His family was predictable and sometimes embarrassing too. Mirage smiled wickedly wanting to go torment Inuyasha too until a flutter of golden hair danced in front of her and this amazingly handsome man stood in front of her.

"May I have this dance?"

The tall blond man who was a celestial asked. Mirage was in awe of this creature, but as soon as she took his hand there was this strange familiar sensation. It was like she knew him from some place in the past.

"You are Sesshoumaru's Uncle Blades."

The golden haired man with the blue eyes smiled.

"Yes I am and we are celestials as you well know. I had fun playing with you and the young monk during the ceremony. It has been a while since I have been around my own kind and this was most fortuitous to meet like this in such fine surroundings."

Blades stated with a soft smile on his lips. He was indeed a pure nobleman with the presence of a Lord and the face to match it. Sesshoumaru of course was almost too perfect a Lord and must have learned much of his court etiquette from this man.

"Mirage, forgive me for being so blunt in what I must state to you now, but there is something you must know. Before I met Sesshoumaru's Father and before I was burnt to the point that I was no longer able to sire my own children I was with a woman. It was a long time ago and it is not something I had recalled for a long time. I do not usually state anything personal in such a formal setting or informally. Still this is something that pertains to your life and I can no longer keep it a secret. I must tell you that it was most unexpected to come to the realization that we are connected by more than just our celestial genetics, we are also connected by DNA.'
"When I was burned I did not recall many things. I have slowly been able to regain my memory and now that I have been around you I know that this is not just wishful thinking. I thought perhaps all I had was a lifetime of dreams that I could only piece together until I came upon you watching you from a distance not certain if I should interfere in your life. You see until we were able to take that sample of blood Kagome had kept at the hospital after your arrival here I could not be certain of my connection to you.'
"I merged with a creature to find out more about the ways to create life and you were born from this. It is time you knew the truth. I am your Father and the results of this are in our blood not just in this connection of celestial power we share. I am your real Father and I have longed for this knowledge in hopes of someday meeting you to tell you how very sorry I was not there for you. I honestly would have been if my memory had not been lost to me for so many years.'
"It took forever for us to find out, but once we did I had to come here. We all did. You see I did not think I could have children, but I had you. I am sorry I was not there for you and I would not have let that man......."

Mirage saw tears in Blades eyes as he thought about how Mirage had been abused by the man who was supposed to be her Father.

"It is ok. I learned from it and every horrible experience teaches us to be stronger. I moved past it and use my anger constructively. I have a good life and no regrets. If I were to change the past then I would not have the things I love so much in the here and now. I did not ever believe in the present and I won't. The future is constantly changing and every second that moves beyond us is in the past. It cannot happen again and we cannot change what is over with in time. It is done. All we can do is change the future and hope the decisions we make now are the right ones."

Blades nodded and sighed trying to compose himself smiling softly proud of his daughter's wisdom. Even with being far apart he did have some influence on her bright creative mind. Celestials were artistic and creatures who loved the beauty of life. Celestials even found some beauty in the death of beings and could rationalize it with poetic sonnets of such depth that even some of the strongest men no matter their genetic makeup would be brought to tears by such words.

"When my blood merged with Inu No Tashio's somehow your blood became mixed too even though we were worlds apart. You see as a celestial we are.........."

Mirage finished his sentence looking in awe at him and smiling widely at the knowledge that was flowing between them. There was no need for words when they could read each other’s thoughts as if opening the book to a story that did not have an end.

"Connected in ways beyond even our understanding. We are as one and we live as one. We are the universe, the sky, the moon, and the stars. We are all the things of love and........."

Blades finished this time.

"Beyond......"

Hugging her Father, Mirage felt the tears come. Sesshoumaru walked over to see what was going on until Scales took him aside. When he explained Sesshoumaru looked in shock, then smiled. It made perfect sense and then he walked out with Scales to talk to him about the celestials he had in his family. He had so many questions. Sesshoumaru wished to control some things while Scales laughed every time he mentioned the word control and celestial in the same sentence.

"You cannot control them it is impossible and believe me you don't want to."

Scales told Sesshoumaru with Sesshoumaru frowning not liking this at all.

"They are beyond even our understanding Sesshoumaru. You can't control love or happiness. It is spontaneous and celestials are the closest thing known to the Great Creator's Archangels. You and your Father also have this since if you think about it the reversed spelling of God is indeed Dog. Dogs are loyal, honorable, loving, and although they stray they protect those they love. Don't get a big head over the term as I am probably going to hell for suggesting such a thing, but fact is when the Angels fell creatures like us suddenly came into being. Celestials and other beings in all of these worlds we bounce to bringing them here are all part of that great tragic battle. We are all lost in darkness and celestials bring us to the light. They make the world happy and fill it with such joy that they make us forget our pitiful insignificant problems for a time. Do you not wish to be happy?"

Scales said with a wry grin. Sesshoumaru sighed and smiled.

"No I love this. I love the feeling I have when I am with Mirage. When she is with Miroku it is like watching two children play and I am part of this fun. Like we are all a bunch of kids just being free."

Scales then nodded.

"Yes and that is how we feel with Blades. We do not ever control him. It would be like killing who he is. He has so much love that he has to push it out on the world. So now we use those endorphin lights to zap people and we play this game a lot. Why do you think so many odd people who were once enemies now love each other so damn much? If it were not for Blades we would not ever get along. He is the very last pure blood celestial of his kind. There is no other like him except Mirage who is mostly celestial and the other part of her blood was changed when she met you. A small part of her was human. It was very small, but it is there. Your blood finally took away that small portion of her humanity. It is not a shame though, this was meant to be. She was not ever meant to be human. It was a shame to keep her trapped in the human world not ever allowing Mirage to be as she should be and should have been for all of us."

Sesshoumaru sat with Scales in the indoor courtyard. It looked like a night sky in a garden, but this was just the greenhouse and the spells that were placed here have been here for centuries. Sesshoumaru loved this room. It was a perfect place and smelled like the old times. Right then he felt like he was back in the old times before this whole mess of the modern world came into being.

"We can't avoid the real world no matter how much we want to kid. Come on and let’s go back to the party. You have not met Mirage's family yet and the Higurashi family also wants to visit with you. These little humans feel lost around us demonic beings. We should not be poor hosts to our guests."

Scales helped Sesshoumaru up and then suddenly caressed his face softly.

"If I was not mated to your Father my little Sesshoumaru I don't think I could resist you. I know your Father could not resist Mirage and most of us feel the same wishing for your youth. We all desire the beauty you have in this life, but we are grateful to share what time we can with you. You tempted me for years little one, but now you are a man who is pure temptation."

Sesshoumaru blushed and Scales smirked. He loved doing this to his nephew knowing that his young beautiful Sesshoumaru had a crush on him for years.

"It is ok Sesshoumaru. It is ok to feel attraction and desire for those that we are not allowed to touch. Just because something is tempting does not mean we give into it right? I will always be here for you if you need me as will all of your family. We are all very proud of you."

Scales hugged Sesshoumaru tightly and then they headed out to the ballroom. His Mother was tormenting Inuyasha who was blushing madly. She was dancing with him and telling him how handsome he had become all grown up looking so much like both of his parents as she kissed his cheek. Then Scales snuck up behind Inuyasha and pulled him into his embrace.

"I want to keep this one. He is so cute and those ears are addicting."

Blades was busy talking to Mirage and meeting with her family. Inu No Tashio was flirting with every pretty woman in the room as usual making Miroku seem tame until Izayoi came up behind Miroku pinching him on the ass. Sango and Kagome were being cornered by Midoriko who was teasing the two girls mercilessly as they kept turning redder by the second. It was kind of funny.

Inuyasha grumbled as Scales messed with his ears making Scales just laugh even more. Sesshoumaru tried to warn Inuyasha, but the boy never listens even now that he is a man.

"Come on puppy don't you want to come home with me?"

Scales purred as he caressed Inuyasha's young face making Inuyasha blush even more. Sesshoumaru refused to save his brother. Instead he slowly wandered over to where Mirage was at to meet her family. They all were nice and her Mother really liked him. It was amusing to have the human woman ask to touch his hair. Apparently Mirage was right on about her Mother liking men with long hair. Mirage explained a lot of things and her sister was jealous as hell. They could feel the hellion in the girl come forth. It was hard for her family to accept they were demons, but what else could they do? They could not deny who they were and it did frighten some of them a bit. Still they were her family so they loved Mirage.

Kouga was flirting with Kagome's Mother and then with Mirage's Mother just to see if he could make them blush. The wolf was having way too much fun with the humans.

Sesshoumaru pulled Mirage away from them all as they started to play a song he recalled dancing to at one point he felt had been the song that he would have chosen to dance to with his mate once he proclaimed one. Pulling her into his embrace they danced and Mirage was surprised since she had not ever danced like this in her life, still it felt natural as they swirled across the floor. Others joined them and soon it was as though the world was spinning. Mirage felt alive and happy. At the end of the dance they wandered away after saying goodbye to their families knowing they would see them later.

The humans and demons would be staying for about a week here in this fortress they called a Palace and then it was time to go back to their lives. Sesshoumaru knew he could not do that until they found the assassins that were trying to kill them. No one else needed to know this though and here he was in tune as was his family on every single movement as well as thought any fiend might think of to harm his loved ones. The main reason his Father and the others had come was the fact they had almost lost their children. It was important to see this ceremony, but these were things they had done often. The safety of the family came first.

Heading out of the grand hall through the doors that the guards slid open and closed the Alpha pair wandered into the indoor gardens. There were a few couples there, but as they saw their King and Queen they bowed politely leaving the two of them alone.

"This is Rin's Greenhouse. The night sky and daytime sky you will see in here is a spell. The plants do not know the difference and the spell acts just like the one we are under when we are outside in the world above us. It even rains in here on occasion. My Father set up the spell with this starting out as something for my Mother and then it grew into something much bigger than any of us anticipated. This area is so large that we have our own forest in here. I still call it Inuyasha's Forest in remembrance of the place I almost lost him. This is home for me more than any of what you have witnessed so far. I am used to sleeping at the bottom of a tree with my tail as a pillow and the grass as my blanket. I love the wind on my face and the freedom of this world. If I was forced to live somewhere forever this would be the place I would be most of the time."

Mirage was in awe. It was beautiful and it seemed like they were really outside. She could hear crickets and saw birds flying over. Deer were racing across the grass. There was wildlife everywhere. It was like they dropped a whole section of the forest before the buildings took over and placed it down here.

"We hunt in here sometimes. Because I know you like to do things at the most inconvenient times I am placing a spell on these cloths you are wearing. In this armor I am able to change form without destroying my clothing. This is the only clothing I can do this in. I will do the same for you with this outfit you are in. It was made very special and I love it on you. It shows you belong to me although your markings do that as well."

Mirage leaned against Sesshoumaru pulling him into another passionate kiss. His lips were so addicting. Sesshoumaru pulled out a small scroll, read the words then Mirage felt a slight tingling as the scroll then disappeared. Sesshoumaru smiled.

"I know that we have eaten well, but I still like to hunt even if we do not kill the prey. Would you like to go run through here with me in our demon forms? I wish to be with you like that for the rest of tonight. I want us just to be wild and roam this world as I had done in the past. I was alone before. I do not wish to wander alone anymore since now I have my mate to join me."

Mirage grinned and changed into her demon dog form racing ahead as Sesshoumaru laughed at her turning into his form chasing his mate who was pretending to be his prey for the fun of this hunt. It was quite a chase too. It felt good and they raced quickly through the trees.

Suddenly Mirage jumped into the air avoiding a snapping trap bounding forward to shove Sesshoumaru out of the way as another large metal trap with jagged teeth snapped shut. They both moved forward until a yelp was heard and it was a sound that was making them both turn white. A wild wolf puppy had been caught in one of them. Mirage growled at the hooded figure that came forward. Sesshoumaru moved in front of his mate growling even lower.

"So Lord Sesshoumaru, you thought you could just make me disappear. Well you never knew where my heart was hiding. I am reborn and I am going to destroy you all."

Sesshoumaru in a rage charged the creature as he ripped off the cape revealing the true beast under it.

"Naraku......."

Sesshoumaru snarled. How the hell did he live and how did he get in here?

"I underestimated your sword Lord Sesshoumaru. It won't happen again."

Scales came out thrusting a sword through the monster as Sesshoumaru's Father came out of the woods too with a wolf pup he was talking softly too carrying several nasty looking traps. The man in the hood was only a demon puppet as it fell to the ground.

"Mirage are you ok."

Sesshoumaru stated as he looked at his mate who was growling and sniffing the puppet.

"I am going to find this fucker's scent and kill him. He hurt another baby! I don't care if it is not a demon."

Mirage roared as she finally came into humanoid form. Her eyes still bled red as her razor sharp claws seemed to only get a little bit longer as well as her fangs. No one wanted to get close to her. Mirage tried to calm and could not until she heard the whimper of the tiny pup. Then suddenly she was back.

"Oh you poor baby, I did not mean to scare you."

Inu No Tashio handed Mirage the baby wolf with a slight smirk as the puppy licked her face and Mirage lovingly stroked its fur. Sesshoumaru pouted and rolled his eyes.

"I guess we are keeping this baby too Mirage?"

Mirage pouted and looked at Sesshoumaru.

"Unfortunately no we can't keep this puppy. He has a Mother out here somewhere. We need to check for traps and get this baby back to its den. That little hanyou girl did not have any other family so it is just a matter of paperwork before Samantha can come home to us."

Sesshoumaru frowned he did not like this name.

"You named the kid already?"

Mirage gave Sesshoumaru a withering look.

"No it is her given name. Samantha Yammamoto. I am not going to take away the child's identity even if we change her last name. I mean Bobby is still my late husband's son although you were generous in adopting him letting him have the choice to take your last name. He kept most of his given name and thank God Scales did not have to read that whole mess off during the introductions."

Inu No Tashio took the pup and suddenly out of nowhere Blades appeared with more traps and his hand was cut. Inu No Tashio looked at the cut and Blades tried to get his hand back with no luck as his mate licked the wound shut.

"I swear you are a big baby over me over such a little cut Touga. We are not done searching. I suggest we get all the men out here to search the forest for any more traps. There are no bombs, but that does not mean there are not any other nasty surprises around here. I wonder how that jerk got through the barrier."

Robby snuck up behind Mirage. He quickly pulled her into his embrace surprising her. He had shocked everyone since he was the craftiest of the ninjas. His presence even startled Sesshoumaru.

"Hey can I have this one Sesshoumaru or are you really going to be selfish with this little beauty."

Sesshoumaru smiled and pulled his mate out of Robby's arms. Mirage had a blush on her face as she looked at the handsome men. Sesshoumaru's Father did indeed have great taste in his mates including her own Father which was kind of weird. Still it was ok.

"Uncle Robby it has been a while. No I am not sharing even with my own mates right now. I don't know if I am going to either. My Father is generous, you all forget some days who I am."

Robby and Scales laughed at that comment. Blades rolled his eyes and Touga looked at his son like he was going to smack the back of his head.

"You never change Sesshoumaru. That is why we love ya kid."

Robby stated with a grin. Touga looked at Mirage with the puppy. He had to get that thing to its Mother before the young girl became too enthralled.

"Give me the puppy Mirage. We will take it to its den."

Mirage kissed the puppy on the head then handed it to Touga. Sesshoumaru gave a slightly apologetic look to his Father who smiled back understanding. He on occasion was selfish with Blades so he could not blame Sesshoumaru for doing the same with Mirage.

"Sesshoumaru this is your and Mirage's night together. Get the others and we will end this event early tonight. You two take tonight to be together and let us do the work. We will call on you both later. The human’s quarters have been checked and it is late. Everyone will need to retire for the night. No need to cause panic and allow them to linger. It will give us all a chance to see if one of them is disguised as the foe we are currently seeking son."

Touga stated softly patting his son on the back. Sesshoumaru nodded as he headed in with his mate very upset that the night he had planned on them to be in their dog forms for the whole night had been ruined. This was another thing that made him hate Naraku even more. Wouldn't that bastard just die and get it over with?

Mirage could feel her mate's distress and held his hand.

"Sesshoumaru, we can still do other things. After we close this party out show me all the places in this Palace in our dog forms. We can do that right?"

Sesshoumaru smiled widely then frowned.

"You won't see the collections in the same way though."

Mirage looked at him pulling him close wrapping her arms around his neck smiling wickedly.

"Sesshoumaru you put that spell on our cloths remember? So we transform, then go back to dog form, transform again if you want me to see something in the other form. No big deal. It will help me anyway and we can fuck each other in our dog forms when we get moments to ourselves. I mean it will be a great adventure don't you think?"

Sesshoumaru smiled and it will be a good way to enjoy the rest of the night. It may not be what he planned, but it did not mean they could not enjoy the same kind of adventure.

"Would you go to our room and sleep with me in dog form? Would you do that with me?"

Mirage smiled and nodded to her mate. She loved Sesshoumaru. If that is what he desired then she would do that. It was a simple thing to ask and Mirage liked the form so why not take advantage of it?

"Yes. I will."

Sesshoumaru's smile was that of pure happiness. His heart never felt this good and even with the threat of Naraku the demon Lord had not ever felt this secure in anything he had felt before in his life. He was truly in love and he did not want this feeling to ever fade. It had to always be this way. Mirage would be there for him and would be the one to venture on any whim he might have at the time seeing it as an adventure for herself as well. There were so many things he wanted to do with Mirage and he desperately wished that Naraku would just go away from them all. That no more bad could happen and that their family could finally have peace. It was the first time in Sesshoumaru's life that he did not really crave violence. He wanted a family and puppies. Watching Mirage with that wolf pup really made him want to have his own pups with her.

"I love you woman."

Mirage felt Sesshoumaru's embrace around her waist as they walked into the room and she placed her arm around his waist too.

"I love you too Sesshoumaru."
