Chapter Twenty-Seven


Kouga was still in the same spot where Ginta and Hakaku had left him hours ago. The sun was starting to descend bringing on the night. Another night without her. He brought his eyes up when he heard Gercha rush in.

"Kouga, we are under attack." She wasn't disappointed when he jumped to his feet and ran outside. No matter his state he would protect his people. She and the other women had been out preparing the meat from the hunt earlier today when from above vulture demons had came upon them looking for their own dinner.

He ran out to see his men fighting against the invaders. He didn't see Ginta or Hakaku but spotted Nikato killing off one of the demons. "Nikato, how many?"

"Too many to count dammit. Fucking vultures." Nikato was glad to see him. The children and women were running to safety. A vulture grabbed him from behind.

Kouga sprung into action, "No dinner for you." He slammed his fist into the demon sending it hurling back. Him and Nikato managed to bring a few more down.

"What do you suggest?"

"We find the leader and take him out." Kouga scanned the area and spotted him. He was stood over seven feet tall with wide wing span. He had a beak where his mouth should have been. "There he is, dammit how the hell do we reach him?" And where the hell were those two idiots when you needed them?


Kimi's heart leapt in her throat when they reached the mountain. Ginta had offered to carry her bridal style to make good time since getting on his back was out of the question. She was nervous about seeing him again and her stomach jerked in rebellion.
The four sprinted until they were almost at the top. They came to a sudden stop causing Kimi's to slam her head against Ginta's chest. "Owww."

"Do you smell that?" Hakaku asked.

"Yeah, vultures! We are being attacked," he placed her on her feet. " Stay here Lady Kimi where it'll be safe."

"I don't think so. Thats my family down there too try and stop me from coming." She ran past them. She stopped on the cliff over looking the mountain. There were demons fighting everywhere. She had no problem distinquishing between the two types. Along with the wolves there was some type of bird demons that looked less human in form. Their black legs had talons on the edge instead of feet, feathers were attached to their arms creating wings of some sort. They didn't have mouths or noses but a large beak.

She spotted Kouga immediately below her fighting off several demons along side the very same demon she'd fought. She watched as they took some down. Pride swelled in her chest knowing that was her man down there. They seemed to be discussing something when a scream tore through the air. To their right Gercha had came out and was instantly grabbed by one of the vultures. He had her arm caught in his talons lifting her in the air.

Ginta watched as his sister was grabbed to be taken off to their den and eaten. "We gotta do something. Kouga can't get to her."

Kimi notched an arrow taking careful aim, she didn't want to hit her friend. "I got it." She released the tension and her arrow streaked across the sky leaving a bright trail in its wake.

Kouga and Nikato watched as the female was being carried off not being able to stop it from happening. A streak of light cut through the air until it pierced the demon causing him to drop the woman as he was consumed in a bright light.

"What the hell was that," he ran over to catch her. She landed in his arms but payed him no attention. She gasped as she looked over his shoulder.

"Bless us its Lady Kimi, look." She was pointing behind him on the mountain range.

Kouga turned to see his woman standing beside Ginta and Hakaku with a bow in her hand.

The vulture demon had seen his man go down and turned to see what had caused his demise. There on a ridge stood a human girl. Her hair was blowing in the wind framing her lovely face. She was beautiful for a mere human but what caught his attention was the power she was emitting from her body. The power of the shikon jewel beckoned him. He smiled at the girl and dove down, "The jewel, give me the sacred jewel."

Kimi didn't have time to think. The biggest and she assumed baddest bird of all had spotted her. The words escaping his mouth sent chills down her spine. The jewel, he wanted the jewel. It was safely tucked inside her body nesting mere inches from her unborn child. She'd be damned if Tweety got near her.

Hakaku saw the demon coming at them, "Come my lady we need to run. He's coming this way. We need to get you to safety."

"THE JEWEL GIVE IT TO ME!!" He screamed as he made his way towards the girl that was foolish enough to stand there like a sacrafice.

"You want it, come and get it," She notched another arrow. Ginta saw that his lady wasn't going to run and stood his ground beside her.

Kouga ran up the mountain no other thought in his mind but the need to get to her. Right behind him all his men were right on his tail. All the demons were heading towards the girl upon sensing the power of the jewel.

Kimi saw the others coming her way but first she had to deal with Big Bird. She waited until he got within several feet and let her arrow fly. He had seen the girl prepare to let loose her arrow. The foolish woman thought an arrow would stop him. He let her release planning to catch it in his beak. But instead of an arrow a flash of light flew towards his face. He opened his beak to curse and it caught him right in the mouth. The other birds watched as their leader was destroyed and went after the jewel themselves.
One swooped down at her before she had time to grab another arrow. Ginta leapt infront of her to protect her from his claws. Kouga leapt up in time striking the bird with Goraishi before it had time to harm his friend.

"Kouga," Ginta sighed in relief. For a minute he'd thought he was about to die. His leader landed in front of him looking pissed.
Then he remembered who he was suppose to be guarding. The other wolves made it up and surrounded them. The few remaining vultures took off deciding to hunt elsewhere. They were all forgotten as everyone came running out to greet Lady Kimi.

Kimi could see the tip of Kouga's shoulders from behind Ginta's back. Part of her wanted to shove Ginta aside and throw herself in his arms. Another wanted her to turn tail and run. Then the last part really had to pee. 'Well might as well get this over with. I feel like an attraction at the zoo except they'd snuck in without paying admission.' She stepped out from behind him, "Ummm, hi."

"What the hell do you think you were doing drawing attention to yourself like that," Kouga yelled at her.

"Well its nice to see you too asshole." She was about to give him a piece of her mind when Gercha pushed him aside throwing her arms around her friend.

"Lady Kimi, you're alive. Its so good to see you again." She grabbed the girl looking her over as if to make sure it was really her standing there. "Oh my, my lady we had no idea you were expecting."

"Oh don't worry about that, its not what you think. I happened to hit a twinkie factory on the way over here." They were all pointing and gawking and she had to pee. The baby wasn't helping either, he must have sensed his father because he was jumping for joy on her bladder. Kouga just stood there with his arms across his chest not saying anything. 'Well screw him, if he wasn't happy to see her. Others were!' "Gercha, I really need some privacy."

"Come, I'll take you to a spot where you can get cleaned up dear." She drug her away but not before sending her elbow into the side of their leader. Everyone would be wanting to know where the girl had been all these months. But she had a feeling they'd only have a little bit of time with the girl before Kouga came to collect her. She took her to the stream so she could wash up some and take care of her needs.

After relieving her bladder she scooped down to drink some water. "That really hits the spot. I didn't think I'd make it before I pissed on myself." She reached around to massage her back. "My back is killing me, if I didn't know any better I swear when I'm sleeping he practices tae-bo on my spine."

Gercha laughed. She remembered what pregnancy felt like and felt sympathy for the girl. "It only gets worse I'm afraid. Wait till you are heavy."

"I don't wanna get heavier I already look like I got a major case of gas. I must look horrible all Fuckface could do is glare at me."

"He's just happy to see you. He has mourned for you these last months." Gercha didn't comment on his new nickname.

"He has a funny way of showing it." She layed down on her back. It felt so good to get off her feet. The sun was setting already and a nap sounded really good. She yawned, "Well wake me when the pizza gets here."

Gercha laughed and was about to ask what a pizza was but noticed the girl had fallen asleep. She bent down to retrieve the girl and to return her to Kouga. Everyone asked if the lady was alright on her way up to his den.


Kouga was leaning outside against the entrance to his den listening to Hakaku tell him how they'd followed the wolf early this morning. Then he remembered the wolf trying to get his attention as well but he'd ignored him. He was glad two of his men had more sense than he did. He mentally kicked himself for the way he yelled at her. He'd wanted to grab her and tell her not to leave him again. But his ass had spoken instead of his mouth. He hadn't even noticed her condition until Gercha had pointed it out to everyone. She was carrying his child. He planned on talking to her as soon as they got back. Ginta came to a halt in front of him, "Gercha is coming back and shes carrying Lady Kimi."

"What," he took off down the mountain. What had happened? His heart clenched as he ran to meet the woman. He spotted her, walking up carrying the girl.

"Don't worry," she seen him running towards her and almost smiled. "She is merely sleeping. Here lay her down so she can get some rest."

Kouga took her, placing her in his arms. She moaned and turned in his arms, "I said no onions." He smiled as she talked in her sleep. He brought his head down to smell her hair and place a kiss to her forehead. They all watched as he took the girl inside his den.


Kimi woke up slowly, her stomach had woken her. The last time she had eaten was early this morning and he was letting her know. Had to be a boy, females weren't this demanding. She sat up and took in her surroundings. 'Uhhh, I know where I am.' A sigh escaped her lips. She was completely alone not even Socks was in here to keep her company. A sharp pain reminded her that she was hungry. "I heard you the first time. No need to use force, brat." Another jab, told her she'd been heard. She pulled herself up deciding to go search for some food. A few more of them jabs and she'd have internal bleeding.

She spotted Ginta standing right outside the cave talking to a woman. She cleared her throat when they didn't notice her at first. "Lady Kimi, you are awake. How are you feeling?"

Before she could answer a voice called from behind him. "What are you doing up?" Kouga was walking up to her.

"Nice to see you too dear," she turned to glare at him expecting a fight. Her breath caught in her throat to see that he was actually smiling. 'Why the hell is he so happy? Then again he's not the one bloated.' "What are you smiling at?"

He'd just informed everyone that he was going to take Kimi as his mate. He hadn't expected any objections and got none. He'd been talking to Gercha about her pregnancy when he'd seen her walk out. She seemed to be in a grumpy mood when he approached her. 'Heh, she'll be smiling soon enough.' He picked her up and carried her back inside.

He set her back down on his furs and began to undress her. Kimi wasn't sure what he was going to do till she felt him removing her clothes. He began to kiss her, while he shed his belongings. He took extra care as he placed her on her side and layed on his behind her. He ran one hand down her side pulling her against him. She felt him behind her pressing up against her backside. He brought his mouth down on her neck licking the spot where he would mark her. He'd meant to spend more time pleasuring her but his demon was demanding to bed her and mark her. He slid his hand between her legs to find her wet. She moaned as he entered her. He cupped her breast as he began to move sliding out then back in. He knew it wouldn't be long before they both reached their peak. She reached behind her and grabbed his hip pulling him deeper. He felt himself about to release his seed and sped up. Kimi screamed as he rode her causing that wave of pleasure to crash over her. As her orgasm hit he buried his fangs into her neck. He withdrew from her neck and caused himself to bleed tearing the flesh on his arm. He placed it in front of her. She brought her mouth down to lick the blood seeping from his arm.

He turned her around to lay on her back so he could face her. He leaned down to place a kiss on her forehead. "I love you, Kimi."
He watched a smile break across her face. "You belong to me now."

"Think you got it takes to keep me?"

"If the way you screamed my name moments ago is any indication," he watched her blush. "You will be mine for a long time."

Her stomach growled reminding her that they weren't alone. "Hmm, I'm starving. Better find some food. Your son is about as demanding as you are."
