*Sorry guys I didn't realize I hadn't posted the new chapter yet. I have a whole week off school so I hope to finish this fanfiction in that time so... keep your fingers crossed. And thanks to Megan who so graciously reminded my to get me ass in gear and post the new chapter. This one is for you!

Chapter 28

"Well," Inu-No-Tashio started to say, "So much for graduation." He smiled over at his mate as she nodded her head in agreement.

Izayoi continued to smile as she replied, "I am so glad they she came right after the New Year. She had the time to fall in love with Sesshoumaru and he with her."

Despite the parents joy at the mating not everyone was sharing there happiness. Inuyasha looked over at Kikyo, ‘Great, now she is going to try and force me into a mating.’ He sighed mentally.

Souta having reformed his connection with Kagome could feel her immense pleasure the whole time. He sported a rather painful erection; luckily when he stood his loose clothing hid the evidence of his arousal. Using a simple scent masking spell he rose and slipped from the room before anyone would figure out his irritation. He slowly and painfully made it to his room where he relieved himself and them got into a cold shower where he continued to feel his sisters’ pleasure and once more, despite the cold, used his hands released once more.

He never used the female body out of respect of his sister and the connection the two of them had. His connection with Kagome always knowing when a male had hurt her and felt her sorrow had helped him and making that choice, the decision to never take a female unless he planned to keep her.

Despite that though and the painful pleasure he was now experiencing he was extremely happy that Kagome had found love, happiness and respect with Sesshoumaru.

Kouga, however, was by far the most depressed and upset. He knew before that she would never be his, but she also held that hope that until Sesshoumaru took her, he still had that chance that she would wake up and see him there for her. With that roar, he knew without a shadow of a doubt that she was forever lost to him unless Sesshoumaru died, but beingone of the strongest in the group he didn’t see that happening anytime in the near of even far off future.

Sure he was content with the fact that she was happy. He also knew that being content with her happiness would have to be enough. Knowing that he would have to stand there and look at them and smile knowing that she belonged to another hurt but he supported it knowing that his beloved "sister" was happy with another.

Everyone moved to the dinning room and supper was announced. Shortly after they sat down the newly mated pair walked into the room, both of there hair was wet and they were dressed in a new outfit. Sesshoumaru had his one arm firmly wrapped around her waist while in the other was a manila folder, and he walked awkwardly behind her as he buried his nose into the side of her next. Kagome saw everyone give them knowing looks and her blush intensified and Sesshoumaru smirked into her neck as he waddled behind her.

Inu-No-Tashio and Izayoi gave wide smiles she they saw the way Sesshoumaru handled her. It was obvious that he had fallen and fallen hard and he didn’t even realize that he had done it.

Souta smirked at the two, he saw Kagome turn blight red when she caught his eye. He couldn’t wait to rub the blush and what he felt in her face.

Inuyasha scowled at them, he was hungry and since Kikyo figured out what was going on she had been giving him meaningful stares. Kikyo sat glaring at Inuyasha, she knew that he knew what she wanted. And it pissed her off that he wouldn’t give it to her.

And lastly Kouga, he wore the fakest smile to hide the pain that he was now feeling. The smile however never reached his eyes. His heart was in pieces and Sesshoumaru knew it which made it that much more painful.

Once Sesshoumaru was seated beside, to left of his father, across from Izayoi, he handed the manila folder over to his father and quickly pulled Kagome into his lap before she could sit down in the chair to his left.

Kagome scowled as she was placed across his lap to face everyone. Her face heated when she saw the pointed look Souta was sending her. ‘Oh yes sister, I have much to rub in your face.’ She now faced everyone at the table except Inu-No-Tashio, who was in fact behind her.

As she sat she noticed that Kouga looked a little more depressed than usual. She had a feeling that from the smirk that Sesshoumaru was trying to send him discretely, that Sesshoumaru knew what was wrong with her brother. Kikyo was also sending glares, but it was directed at her, she looked almost jealous. Suddenly her face lit up again as Sesshoumaru buried his nose in her mating mark.

Inu-no-Tashio smirked at his son’s actions towards Kagome. All the while his son still looked indifferent as ever, except when he looked at Kagome, his eyes warmed and seemed to brighten a lot. They softened to make his look almost normal.
"Sesshoumaru?" He waited until he had his son’s attention. When Sesshoumaru met his eyes, he gestured to the folder. "What is this?"

Sesshoumaru almost sighed and rolled his eyes, ALMOST. "That." He said gesturing to the folder. "Is the signed document from America."

"Oh." His eyes widened, he had forgotten that he had asked for the document. He opened it and read as the first course of dinner was served. Reading through the file, his eyes widened in disbelief, "You got him to sign this? This was not the original contract that we agreed on." He said as he looked into Sesshoumaru’s eyes. "Did he read this before signing? And don’t lie to me boy, I will know."

However, it wasn’t Sesshoumaru that answered. Kagome swung around to face Inu-No-Tashio, and sent a glare that would scare even Sesshoumaru with the intensity behind it. "How dare you. I can’t believe that you would accuse your son of underhanded tactics to advance in the business world. Accuse him of doing something so dishonorable, you who above all know Sesshoumaru best, his mentor, sensei, and father, his greatest critic and strongest ally." She said in a voice that dripped with disgust.

Everyone at the table was silent as the awaited the explosion to occur. Inu-no-Tashio was taken aback for a moment, the sheer loathing that was in her voice was normally only directed at Tasukie, after the initial shock wore off his anger came back full force.

"And what, pray tell, little girl would you know about the contract you were not that to witness the signing. So until you are present for such things keep you mouth shut." He snapped at her.

Kagome just smiled and looked menacingly at the older male, "That, old man is where you are sadly wrong." She stood up from Sesshoumaru and leaned over that table towards him. Inu-No-Tashio, leaded back away from her. "You see, I was there and I did watch him read and then sign that contract. There for you owe not only your son a huge apology, but also myself for thinking that I would lie for anyone even if it is my mate, my job to protect, not deceive." She turned from the table and began walking out of the room towards the gardens. "Until you are ready to apologize to me, don’t come near me." With that the very irritated miko-demon walked out of the room. The door seemed to slam closed after she left.

Everyone sat in stunned silence, no one had ever seen Kagome go off like that not even Kouga or Souta, as it turned out it looked like Kagome had a bad temper that she kept on a tight leash. Sesshoumaru looked at his father and growled, being the first to break the tense silence, "I hope you got what you wanted, you are lucky she didn’t purify your ass into oblivion."

Inu-No-Tashio sat in silence as she told him off, never had Sesshoumaru wanted anyone else present when he had been in a business deal. But I guess with Kagome being his mate-to-be she would have been the only one allowed into the room when he was doing business. He looked up at Sesshoumaru when he growled at him, everyone knew that should Sesshoumaru decide to attack that Izayoi would be cleaning his ass off the wall for weeks to come. Sesshoumaru had his father beat in strength hands down, and when it can to being a business man, he was his equal really. The only reason Sesshoumaru didn’t rule was because of school and the fact that you had to be mated when one took over as a lord. Well now that was taken care of after graduation Sesshoumaru could take over for his father and there would not be anything that he could say about it. Sesshoumaru mentioning that Kagome could have purified him made him think perhaps Sesshoumaru was not the one that he had to worry about, Kagome and her temper worried him at this time. Sesshoumaru would not have mated her if she was not equal to him in strength and brains. She would have to be a very powerful being to be accepted by Sesshoumaru and his baser half.

He watched silently as Sesshoumaru got up and left the room to head towards the Dojo for a few hours, he knew that his mate was in the gardens and was not going anywhere. Izayoi looked at her stunned mate, and motioned for the rest of the table to continue to eat as she rose and followed after Kagome.

In the gardens she was not hard to find she was sitting on the edge of one of the fountains. "Kaogme," she said softly not wanting to irritate the demoness farther.

Kagome looked at her, "You have nothing to fear Lady Izayoi, even mad as I am, you have nothing to fear from me." She locked eyes with the woman, Izayoi could see pink around the edges. "Come sit. I will not bite, I reserve that for Sesshoumaru."

Izayoi cracked out laughing, even mad the girl was trying to put her at ease. She sat next to Kagome and pulled her hand into her lap. "Kagome," She began again.
"Inu, he didn’t mean to offend you or Sesshoumaru. He takes his business very serious."

"Lady Izayio, I understand that, but to say something so accusingly against the very male that he trained to follow and walk in his footsteps is just wrong, he should have more trust in Sesshoumaru if he is ever going to hand over the business to him." Kagome pleaded to try and make Izayio at least see her point she didn’t have to agree, just see it.

"And you are absolutely right. He should not question Sesshoumaru so much, he does need to trust his eldest if he is going to release the business over to him soon. But Inu was also testing you, he wanted to not only see if you would defend Sesshoumaru but tell the truth to get it done or if you would be dishonest." Izayio explained.

Kagome sighed, "He should know that as a Miko I don’t lie. And Sesshoumaru is incapable of being dishonest, it would not be honorable and that means everything to him." Izayio was well aware of that fact.

"It is an Inu thing trust me." Izayio said. "I will stand by you needing Inu to apologized to the two of you. And he will in is own way. To you he will come out and say it but to Sesshoumaru it will not be so direct but Sesshoumaru will know when his father has said it."

Soon both women were very aware of youkai in the air. Sesshoumaru soon appeared, "Come mate, we have a race to attend."

Izayio and Kagome both rose and Izayio led the way and in headed towards her mate while the two newly mated couple head upstairs to get ready for a night soon neither of them would forget.
