Yay! I'm going to answer a question I'm sure you've all been wondering about.

Seeing You Again

Kurama ran outside the apartment where all the noise was coming from. Fear entered him at seeing the youkai standing in front of him. What was he doing here?

"Where is she? Hand her over."

Kagome! He wanted Kagome. Koronue confirmed his suspicions. "You're not taking Kagome anywhere. Take another step forward and you will die. Do you honestly believe you can kill all of us?"

"Easily."

Kagome ran outside in her pajamas and stopped in her tracks. Standing not far from her was someone she'd never thought to ever see again. Yet here he stood in all his glory, as cold as ever. Though she knew he wasn't really that cold. It had taken over a year to see it. She took a step forward and everyone turned to look her way.

"Kagome stay back." Kurama tried to grab her hand and she yanked it away.

He was here. Truly here, why? He was looking right at her, his golden eyes taking her in. "Sesshomaru."

He spoke, "I don't have time to explain. It's Rin." He held his hand out for her.

She nodded and ran to him. He grabbed her around the waist and they were off.

"Kagome!" They both screamed at the same time. They couldn't believe their eyes as she went willingly with the great lord.

"It's his ward!" Hiei took a step forward. Everyone turned to look at him. "She just said so. Something is wrong with the girl. Cool your temper." He was speaking to Koronue then. "Come, we will follow."

Kagome felt Hiei stop talking to her. She hoped no one was mad at her for just taking off like that but if Sesshomaru came to find her of all people then something was terribly wrong. On the way there she tried talking to him.

"Its good to see you again."

"Hnn. This Sesshomaru is glad to see you are well."

She smiled at him, "Thats something I never thought to hear from you. I'm use to 'Die'."

"Do you mock me?"

"Did it suck that bad? How is Rin still alive?"

"My mate and I interfered with her aging process. It is complicated."

"Did you just say mate. You actually have a mate now?"

He raised his brow, "Is it that hard to believe. This Sesshomaru has needs too, sorry I interrupted yours."

She blushed all the way to her roots. "You didn't have to go there."

"Hnnn. At least you didn't mate with that idiot brother of mine." He landed outside his home.

Kagome couldn't believe who came running out to meet them. She felt tears come to her eyes at seeing the girl. "Ayame."

She ran up to Kagome hugging her, "It is so good to see you again. There is much I'd like to talk about but first we have to save Rin."

Kagome let herself be drug away, she couldn't believe that Sesshomaru had ended up with Ayame. She had always suspected that Naraku had killed Kouga. Had the female wolf youkai moved on? She was led into a large room, candles were lit everywhere. What Kagome saw broke her heart.

Laying on a bed, placed in the center of the room was Rin. She looked to be Kagome's age but you could still tell it was the same little girl. Her face hadn't changed much, she was still adorable and small. What worried Kagome was the black aura that cloaked her. "What happened?"

"We found her several days ago, she'd went out on one of her usual walks. When she didn't return home Sesshomaru went to go look for her. She appeared to be sleeping when he brought her back. The next morning that glow was starting to appear, everyday it gets larger. It's like its feeding off her, growing." Ayame explained. She loved the girl like a daughter, her and Sesshomaru had a few children of their own but they were all gone now. Having left to build lives of there own.

Sesshomaru walked in, "Can you help? Your mate and friends will be here shortly."

Ayame walked up to the lord and hugged him. Much to the miko's suprise he returned the embrace. "I'll see to them when they arrive, I'm sure you wish to stay here with Rin."

Kagome walked over to the bed, panic filled her. She could feel the evil coming from the girl. Whatever it was, it was slowly devouring the girl. If something wasn't done the girl would die and the evil would manifest. "Sesshomaru, I might be able to help. Whatever happens don't touch me or let any of the others interfere. I don't want to accidently purify anyone."

"Very well."

The others arrived in front of the home and waited. Ayame came out to greet them. She spotted the fox and smiled. Kagome had chosen well, she was happy for the girl. Of course Kouga wouldn't be too happy when he found out. "Welcome, I am Ayame. Please come in. Kagome is inside with Rin. Thank you for allowing her to come, I'm not sure what we would do if anything were to happen to Rin." Ayame had to suppress her laughter, if she knew Kagome the girl hadn't asked permission from her mate.

She knew they followed. They went straight to Rin's room. She opened the door, to see Kagome holding Rin's hand. Sesshomaru's arm went around her pulling her close. "It's okay. If anyone can help Rin it is Lady Kagome."

Kagome felt the resistance as she grabbed the girl. Her hand felt like it was on fire as it broke into the aura surrounding the girl. She searched for Rin's soul somewhere in the darkness she felt but it was keeping her out. The aura was trying to consume her as well. Then she found it, somewhere in all that darkness was the girl's pure soul. It was feeding off it. There was only way to save the girl. Kagome dropped her shield and let the arua consume her.

"NO," Kurama tried to run to her but Sesshomaru stopped him.

"Do not interfere. She stated that no one is to touch her. You could kill them both. Give her some credit." The fox backed off.

"She's going for the girl's soul." Koronue stepped forward. "This is the only way. To defeat the darkness, she has to let it consume her."

"At least one of you, isn't foolish. Maybe she would have been better off with the hanyou." They both turned to look at the Lord.

Ayame elbowed him. "Stop that. Don't mind him, he didn't want to see Kagome end up with his brother."

Kagome felt herself being consumed by the darkness. Now that she was here, she wasn't sure what to do. Rin, find Rin in all this. She searched and then found her. She was crying in the darkness.

Rin felt so alone, she had tried to find her Sesshomaru but he wasn't here. She remembered looking for some flowers and then she felt a hot searing pain in her head. Then she woke up here all alone. Her crying stopped when she heard someone calling to her. "Who's there?"

"Rin, can you hear me?"

"Yes, who are you?" She looked around but couldn't see anyone.

"Its Kagome. Remember me?"

She thought back to when she was a child. The nice lady that had been with Lord Sesshomaru's brother. "Yes, I can hear you. Where is Lord Sesshomaru?"

"He can't reach you Rin. So he sent me, he is waiting for you. We are all waiting for you to return. Come back to us. I need your help, you have to want to come back."

"Rin wants to come back."

"Good now think of Lord Sesshomaru and those that you love. I will do the rest."

Kagome could feel the darkness trying to enter her own body. She wasn't sure how she did it but her aura flared to life. Everyone watched while Kagome's body began to pulse emitting large quantities of energy. The aura surrounding the girl began to fade. Within minutes both were back.

Rin opened her eyes, she was looking at a few people she didn't know. Then her eyes saw Lord Sesshomaru and Ayame. "My Lord?"

"How do you feel Rin?" He walked up to the bed. The miko was still sitting there unmoving.

"Fine but Lady Kagome isn't moving." Sesshomaru caught her before she fell over. "Is she okay?"

Kurama and Koronue ran up to him. Sesshomaru placed her in the fox's arms. "She is out, she still lives. I will take you to a room so she may rest.
