Don't Anger the Goddess of Love

Inuyasha woke up and closed his eyes from the glare in the room. It was very bright were ever he was. He opened his eyes slowly. He found himself chained to a wall. He couldn't move his wrist and ankles were shackled to the wall. He pulled on the chains and they didn't give an inch. He was surprised to find Tetsusaiga still sheathed to his waist. But as he got a closer look he discovered the cord tying it to the sheath. So he can't use Tetsusaiga either. This was not looking good. His ears twitched and he heard footsteps outside the door of his prison. Finally he would get to see who captured him. He wanted to see their face this prison couldn't keep him forever. Then he would get his revenge. The door opened to reveal a beautiful lady. He watched her walk across the room to stand in front of him. He saw her raise her hand and expected a blow to land. Inuyasha was shocked to see a chair appear out of no where. "Great magic trick."

Benten opened the doors and found that Em had indeed secured Inuyasha. The poor boy could hardly move. Served him right though. From the looks of things this might take awhile. She waved an arm and called for a chair. If she was going to be here awhile she was going to be comfortable. She sat down. "Hello Inuyasha."

"Who are you and what do you want with me?" Inuyasha glared at the lady now sitting in front of him.

"I am here to help you. For now that is all you need to know." Benten brought her nails up as if looking at them.

Inuyasha looked from the shackles on his wrist to the ones on his ankles. "Yeah I can see how you want to help me. If that is true release my bonds wench."

"Do you not have any manners? Wench is not an acceptable term to address ladies by. I thought that you would have learned that by now. Kagome has sat you enough when you called her by that name." Benten looked at the nails on her other hand. "The longer you keep up this obstinate behavior the longer you will be here."

"How do you know mine and Kagome's name? We have never met before." Inuyasha growled at the lady.

"I know many things. How ever I do have my doubts about your intelligence at times. You should be ashamed at attacking Sesshoumaru and Kagome like you did. For one you struck when Sesshoumaru's back was toward you. Not to mention your total disregard for Kagomes well being. You need to learn to control your jealousy. And I am here to help you with that." Benten smiled at Inuyasha. "The time you spend here depends on your ability to adapt and learn."

"You don't know what you are talking about. " Inuyasha turned his head away from the lady.

Benten moved her hand and Inuyasha was forced to look at her again. "You can't hide from me and I will not let you turn away from your mistakes. I grow tired of you Inuyasha. You will abide by my rules or you will not like the consequences."

Inuyasha looked at the lady. How did she move my head without touching me?
She must be a dark priestess or something. "Witch I have had enough of you. Turn me loose and I might let you live when I get free."

Benten glared at the hanyou in front of her. He dare call me names and threaten me. "Inuyasha I have had enough of you. You were jealous when you attacked your brother and that is the only reason that you attacked him. You knew that Kagome chose to go to Sesshoumaru of her own free will but your jealousy made you believe something else. And why would you be jealous for any way?
You chose who you wanted. That left Kagome free to choose another. Even if you didn't like her choice as her friend you should have stood by her. Just because you can't make up your mind doesn't mean that Kagome can't. Her mind is made up and nothing you do or say will stop her. Are you with me so far?" She paused while Inuyasha glared at her. Benten knew the truth would be hard for the hanyou to accept. But he was still ignoring her.

Inuyasha heard what the lady was saying. He didn't like it. He couldn't help how he felt about Kagome. "You don't know what your talking about bitch. I love Kagome. And nothing you say can convince me otherwise." He continued to glare at the witch.

"You say you love her. After everything you put her through. You put her through four years of hell. You would get close to her then draw back only to get close to her again and then you see Kikyou and Kagome was no longer a thought in your head. You left her to get attacked by the same women that you love. Then call her a liar when she tells you about the attacks. Or did you even care that your lover wanted Kagome dead?" Benten was angry now. An she was not one to get angry easy.

"Kikyou would not hurt Kagome. She would not hurt anyone." Inuyasha shouted at the lady.

"Not only has she tried to kill Kagome the only thing she desires is to take you to hell with her. She doesn't care about anyone. You, herself, Kagome she is a mad shell of a person and would not even be alive today if it wasn't for you." Benten stood up and approached Inuyasha. "Fine if you won't believe what I say lets see you deny this." Benten placed one hand on either side of Inuyasha's head.

Inuyasha tried to jerk away from the lady but she had frozen him again. He felt her hands touch his head. He didn't know what she was doing. He felt his head getting dizzy. Suddenly he saw visions of the past four years with Kagome flash through his mind. He saw himself calling her names, being inconsiderate of her feelings, of Kikyou trying to hurt her. He was seeing everything through Kagome's eyes. The scenes flashing through his head made him sick. Surely he didn't treat her that way. He had showed her that he cared about her. He knew he did, but those visions were very few. As the visions went on he felt worse and worse. No wonder she didn't want him. If he was her he wouldn't choose himself either. Poor Kagome. He never realized the hell he had put her through. Inuyasha felt his tears fall down his face. "Please stop. I don't want to see any more."

Benten released him and walked back to her chair and sat back down. "Now you see what Kagome has been through for the last four years. She deserves some love in her life and I will not let you get in the way of that. You had your chance now let Kagome have hers. You will not be allowed to interfere with her and Sesshoumaru again. You will hold your temper and abide by her decision. I will let you remain her friend, for now. If I think you have over stepped your bounds with her again. I will remove you from her life. I will turn you into an imp just like the one that follows your brother around. Now unless you want to live the rest of your life being called a toad and a servant you will abide by my rules. Do you understand what I am telling you?"

Inuyasha nodded his head. Did she really have the power to do that? "I will not interfere with her life again."

Benten heard his thoughts. "Yes Inuyasha I do have the power to do that.
Let me show you." She moved her hand down his body without touching him.

Inuyasha found himself engulfed in a light and he felt himself shrinking. Damn the chains shrunk with him. Then the light was gone. The lady nodded her head and a huge mirror appeared before him. He groaned. He looked just like that toad that follows Sesshoumaru around. "Change me back."

Benten laughed at his expression. He obviously didn't want to spend the rest of his life like that. She took pity on him and moved her hand past his body. He was back to normal now. "Just to let you know I am Benten the goddess of love. My friends and fellow gods will extract our revenge against you if you mess up Kagomes life again. We will make the rest of your life a living hell. I am going to release you now and send you back to your friends. Now remember what you were told." She nodded and Inuyasha was gone.

Em walked into the dungeon. "How did it go?"

"I guess time will tell. But let me tell you it was awfully tempting to leave him as an imp after all the trouble he caused." Benten laughed. "Thank you for your help Em."

"No problem it was kind of exciting. I don't get to do that everyday." Em laughed and disappeared.

Benten followed his example and joined her friends watching over the group.
